Morwen
01-17-2002, 11:37 PM
In the clear, crisp air of the morning, Morwen steps out from her shadow and steadily gazes at the scene in front of her. The tall, strong, masts of many far going vessels reach out and great her. The white, billowing, clouds of the sails swaying gently in the mid-morning breeze. She darts from shadow to shadow as she makes her way to the specified meeting place. She makes her way to an old, shabby, cabin at the end of the small town. Once inside she lights a candle and unfurls a map. She silently speaks the words of her assignment: "You are commanded to sail to the uttermost west and explore all dimensons of its place. If you fail to reach it, then continue your voyage and explore all surrounding waters and possible lands. You know what it is we search of, and you will not fail, but if any should get in the way or learn of your purpose, then what is to be done is up to you. Fare you well." She sits and silently stares at the map. "Now all I need is a crew."

*A short figure swaggers up to Morwen. The woman is dressed in a red and white striped shirt, blue pants with ragged edges, and wears a patch on one eye. "Aye mate, I hear ye need some crew. Well aye, here me be!"*

*A man of strong build follows Tal to Morwen

"Ya i hear you need yourself a crew ya well here i am Eomer s my name sailing the seven seas is my game, I'm a friends of Tal"

Morwen

"Very well, but a crew so small cannot guide a single ship, much less three. It was planned, by who I will not mention, that three ships are to undertake this journey. All those who are willing, and have some understanding of the vessals we will travel in, are welcome to join. This journey will be filled with perils unimaginable, terrors the dark ones would cringe at, and the wrath of the angry sea. It will not be easy. But enough of that." says Morwen bringing out a large keg of Balrog. "There is still time before the ships set sail." ;)

An elvish woman dressed in silver appraoches," Ahhhh....the Sea. Beware the Sea, or so Galadriel said so long ago to Legolas. I was there at the moment." Turns her attention to Morwen,"If you need a crew, you can let me come. I know how to cook a good meal

A tall dark ranger walks in. "Well, i'm the best navigater you'll find..." he said smiling.

Morwen
01-18-2002, 09:04 PM
Morwen bows low to her new guests. "I am glad to have more join, but alas, tis not enough. I am truly happy to have you all aboard *looks sharply at Tal* even with all your oddities." Morwen walks over to a window and looks out over the land. "tis not enough" she silently speaks.

Aredhel
01-18-2002, 09:09 PM
"How much longer will we wait?," she asks Morwen.

Morwen
01-18-2002, 09:15 PM
" We must wait till we have a crew capable of handling a vessel so large. I fear we will not be able to take three ships, as planned. If I must I will set a date," she replies to Aredhel.

Galan`Black
01-18-2002, 09:19 PM
"Alas, Let a Wizard of the Blue of whom can control the water of what we shall sail. I can control all form which is liquid. I shall guide your crew through the sea without any trouble."

Aredhel

Nods after Morwen is done speaking," I can wait."

Morwen
01-18-2002, 11:52 PM
"Alright everybody," says Morwen in a clear voice. "It's time we set out, we can't wait for much longer. If others wish to come they must board their own vessels and give chase. But for us, we have an adventure to see to its end." With that she bursts through the door and heads for the docks.

Aerin
01-19-2002, 12:51 AM
*A tall figure, clothed in loose, flowing garments, walks up. Glaring at Galan for saying what a powerful wizard he was, she addresses Morwen.*

"Good lady Morwen, might I join you on your quest? I am the head Blue Wizard *once again glaring at Galan* and I wish to aid you on this adventure you shall set out upon. Please let me join this band of seafarers."

*Aerin's horse walks up and waits patiently beside her.*

"Will our journeys take us over land? I must know, so I will be able to stable Tsornin if the need arise."

Galan`Black
01-19-2002, 01:26 AM
"In what intent are you staring at me for Aerin? I haven't made you angry have I? Did my words disturb you? Because I didn't mean to say I was much more powerful than you."
*Grabs his staff and walks out to the docks.*

Morwen
01-19-2002, 06:21 AM
"My greetings to you Aerin, it is wonderful to have you aboard!" And yes, we are planning on stoping at land, that is if we can find some. :D Our travels will take us many places, on land and sea, and there will be new cultures to find and new creatures to discover. It's all very exciting, so let's go!" calls Morwen steping onto the landing platform.

Morwen
01-19-2002, 10:25 PM
The sea was calm in thoughtful slumber, and the waves laped lazily against the side of the ship. *Morwen steps out of her cabin and saunters to the bow of the ship.* "Where to are you taking us, mighty sea of Ulmo? Is it not fair that we should know, even if our purpose seems weak. But it is not, I am sure" says Morwen sighing. "What lands have you cast your trembling waves upon. What new people have you seen, or creatures gleemed?" Oh my, Morwen, your reverting to your poetic self again, shutup." The ship contiunues to moan and send its protest to the sky. In the distance, unbeknowest to Morwen, a sleek shadow of great might aproaches the ship. Slicing through the water it reaches the starboard side. *thump* Morwen turns from her thoughts. *thump* *crack* The jolt nocks Morwen from her feet and sends her flying to the other side of the ship. The hurredly gets up and calls for the others while readying her bow.

When the crewmates get a look overboard, they see a giant monster in the sea. Morwen shoots an arrow at it, and hits its eye.

They realize this is a Great, GIANT, MIKE!!!!!

Now, Mike, the one eyed monster continues to attack their boat...

Morwen
01-19-2002, 11:30 PM
Morwen swings her legs over the rail and lands roughly on the Giant Mike. With her bow in hand, she makes her way unsteadily towards the monsters head. When she reaches its hideous head, she bursts out laughing. "Oh hideous Mike, get you gone, your face is too ugly to show it above the surface!" With that Morwen climbes back over the side and shoots a farewell shot at Mike.

Beorn

SmugTheGolden says:

Mike swims to the top, with Morwen, and turns himself back into a human...

Would one of you help me aboard?

Talierin
01-19-2002, 11:51 PM
*Seeing that Mike is gonna behave himself now and hauls him up on the ship, where as second-mate she assigns him the job of cabin boy.*

Beorn
01-19-2002, 11:52 PM
Seeing how the ship has had no complaints about the lack of a cabin boy, he politely declines the offer...

Talierin
01-19-2002, 11:57 PM
*"There is no declining offer business on this ship. You either work on this ship, or I will put you in the brig. What is it to be?"*

Beorn
01-19-2002, 11:58 PM
So long as it isn't literally the poop deck!

Talierin
01-19-2002, 11:59 PM
*"You want the poop deck, I'll give you the poop deck! Sailor, tie him spread eagle to the floor of the poop deck!"*

Beorn
01-20-2002, 12:00 AM
Before they can tie him down, Mike turns into a monster, jumps overboard and swims away!

Talierin
01-20-2002, 12:02 AM
"Okay, okay, you green fiend, I'll let you be lookout!"

Beorn
01-20-2002, 12:11 AM
Upon hearing this after being so far away, he swims back, turns into a human, and climbs upto the crows nest...

Morwen
01-20-2002, 12:26 AM
"Good to have you back", Morwen grumbles.

Aerin
01-20-2002, 06:48 AM
*Aerin, with a smirk on her face, thinks of a devious plan.*

"I know what I shall do with this villian!"

*Aerin whispers to Tal her dastardly plot. Tal, upon hearing it, breaks into a huge grin, then runs off... to return moments later bearing a bundle covered with a cloth. Aerin grabs the cabin boy by his ear, marches him into a small, unoccupied cabin, then shackles him to the wall so he can't move. Then, Talierin walks in and sets her bundle down in front of Mike. Aerin, with a devilish grin, pulls off the cover. Lo! It is a Macintosh computer! Mike writhes in torment, while Aerin and Talierin leave the puny cabin, and lock the door so Mike's trapped. Aerin proceeds to whistle as she goes down to groom her horse.*

Beorn
01-20-2002, 06:57 AM
*Mike closes his eyes so he can't see that horrid excuse for a thing....Then he starts yelling so loud that he'll never hear any noise it makes: "LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA LALALALALALALALALALALALALA"

*Eomer sees a flying fish in the air he then takes out his bow and shoots. As the fish begins to fall back to the water Eomer takes out his staff and the fish begins to fly to Eomer. Eomer then waves out his wand and the fish turns into Chopped Sushi
Eomer then walks over to Morwen
"Morwen i am sure many other people will come, for the mean time you do not have to worry about our danger for there are 3 great White Wizards among us I the White Wizard of Silver, Tal the White Wizard of Green and Aerin White Wizard of Blue. So Aerin will become great help to you for she is the master of the Sea. Eomer looks at Galan. Also we have a nice trained Soldier Mike who can also turn into a monster even better"

*Eomer then continues eating his sushi " Does anyone want Sushi i can makes some if you want"

Morwen
01-20-2002, 11:08 PM
"Thank you, Eomer, I'm sure more will come, but I do worry. The ocean is full is mystery and wonder", she says looking over the strangly calm waters. She makes her way over to the starboard railing and looks into its depth. "What secrets do you hold, taker of my home? What challenges await us?" she whispers. "Well, lets not be so glum, Morwen! Does anybody have any Balrog!"

Beorn
01-20-2002, 11:19 PM
*Mike stops singing, and opens his eyes...Mike turns into a monster, so big that he breaks the shackles. He turns back into a human, picks up that sad excuse for a computer, and brings it out onto deck. Next, he ties a rope around the Mac so tight that the computer can't come loose. With the spare end of the rope, he ties a knot on the bow of the ship!*

Mike announces We have a new anchor!!!

Talierin
01-20-2002, 11:21 PM
*Tal whispers to Aerin "Why is he singing so loud? Macs don't make noise...". She then grabs Mike and makes him the anchor.*

Beorn
01-20-2002, 11:23 PM
Macs make that stupid sound when they start up.

Mike pleas for anyone to help me against the two plotting girls.

Mike becomes a monster again and starts using the Mac on a string as a mace...

Talierin
01-20-2002, 11:26 PM
They don't if you don't have the sound on...

Tal catches the end of Mike's mace, henceforth rescuing the very nice comp.

Beorn
01-20-2002, 11:28 PM
*Mike pulls hard on the rope, therefore 'unrescuing' the sad computer*

*Mike climbs up the the crows nest, and looks through his single remaining eye, and sees land off to the west*

Talierin
01-20-2002, 11:40 PM
*Mike's tug on the string sends Tal flying, still clutching the comp. She quickly whips out her dirk and cuts the rope. With the comp, she lands hard on the deck. Luckily the comp is the Titanium laptop she's wanted forever.....

"LAND AHOY!!!!!!" Mike's call comes. She quickly stows her comp away where it will be safe from Mike's grubby hands, then returns above deck, shouting orders.*

Aerin
01-21-2002, 12:58 AM
It was just some innocent fun! :D

*Aerin runs up to the deck, then over to the bow. Squinting her eyes against the salty spray of the sea, she looks out ahead. The dark cloud in the distance grew darker and larger as the minutes passed.*

"All hands on deck! Land has been sighted!"

*As the land looms closer, Aerin realizes that there is no vegetation on the shore, or inland for as far as the eye can see. The ground seems black and dead, with plumes of ash carried by the wind. Aerin fingers the hilt of Gonturan.*

"If this is an enemy shore, we shall not be caught unawares. Everyone arm themself!"

Morwen
01-21-2002, 03:06 AM
Morwen fingers her short sword as they aproach the deadend land. "What surprises lurk under that soil I wonder?" she announces to the sky. As the ship slows and anchores just off shore, she jumps into the water not waiting for the others, and swims ashore. Once on land she looks around, and to her amazement, finds that the whole island consists of rusted battlements of old. The black soil had covered these so it apeared completely black from the ship.
Morwen bends down and grabs an old, rusted sword. "Elvish markings they must be! But I cannot make them out." she calls back to the ship. "You must really come ashore! There are things here made of the elder days!" she calls out again, but this time a rumbling noice accompanies her summons. She tries to make her way back to the ship, but is caught in some netting. The rumbling continues to grow and showers her with fear. She calls out the crew for help.

Beorn
01-21-2002, 04:19 AM
These rumblings were caused by the curse laid upon this battlefield, that no living being shall walk upon it without receiveing its punishment. The curse was really a great monster, of the deep (before you even think about making a comment, he's not related to me!!!), such as those described by Gandalf, those without names.

Aerin
01-21-2002, 04:23 AM
*Aerin runs below deck to grab Tsornin, then leads him up to the deck. Leaping astride her steed, she jumps off the side of the ship. Tsornin swims to the shallow end of the sea.*

"Morwen! Come back! You can ride with me back to the ship!! Make haste!"

Morwen
01-21-2002, 04:38 AM
*Morwen tries hopelessly to gain her footing; the rumblings growing even louder and closer. She grabs as much of the netting as she can possible hold, and limps off in Aerin's direction. Darkness suddenly enshrouds the land and Morwen falls to the earth; now teaming with odd creatures. One manages to grab on to Morwen's leg and injects her with a poison of some sort. Her head falls limply to the earth.*

Beorn
01-21-2002, 05:00 AM
Mike (being a Beorning) turns into an eagle, and flies over the island. He flys towards Morwen, and picks her up, along with the netting.

Aerin, seeing Morwen freed,
Turns her steed,
aborts her deed,
and she does procede...

back to the ship where she can be safe and all that fun stuff....

As Mike takes Morwen back. Eomer takes out his bow and shoots the evil thing that was holding Morwens leg

Lorien
01-21-2002, 11:00 AM
And suddenly out of the water comes this huge tidal wave that blasts away all the evil creatures shredding them to little-wittle bits.....and out of the tidal wave steps Lorien, a half-elf half-vala and says...."They are gone now.....long have i waited for those who would dare to make the journey to the uttermost for now my oath being fulfilled i can do what i like"

"I would like to join you on your quest." "Will you give me leave to join you?"

"Ah!! I forget that one of your compatriots is hurt....I will heal her wound...."

Lorien passes his hand over Morwens head and says old incacntations in the Valinorean tongue and suddenly Morwen awakes.."

Aredhel
01-21-2002, 04:23 PM
((Been gone for two days and look what happened))

"Lorien?", she says, puzzled,"I have not seen or heard of you since the Noldor went into exile. Long have I wondered if you were safe or not."

Morwen
01-21-2002, 10:29 PM
*Morwen wakes, still dizzy from the poison, and smiles lazily at Lorien. "Thank you, kind sir, for your help. You have my leave, as commander of this mission, to join us," she says with the last of her strength. With a remnant of the poison still coursing through her blood, the lowers herself, and falls into a deep, feverish sleep.

Aredhel
01-21-2002, 10:35 PM
"Are we almost ready to go then,"she asks.

Aerin
01-21-2002, 11:58 PM
*Aerin is puzzled how to get herself and Tsornin back into the ship.*

"Perhaps if someone would be kind enough to lower a net..."

Lorien
01-22-2002, 06:25 AM
*Lorien responds to Aerin's distress and lowers the net.....*

"Nay, Aredhel you must speak of my father the vala.....i am but his arrogant son.......:D "

"I came into the world after the Noldor had left"

Eomer then stares at the sea wondering if he will ever see Ulmo on this journey, suddenly he spots a beautiful juicy fish he then catches it using his fishing rod

Lorien
01-22-2002, 08:52 AM
Should we not leave? for i do not think that the last of these fell creatures has come and gone...

Eomer Dinmention
01-22-2002, 09:00 AM
But why there are so many good fishes to catch there all nice an juicy. If we must leave then fine so be it.

*Eomer then takes out his staff and suddenly the fat fishes starts to fly near Eomer, the fishes then land on the ship.

"Hmm that should be enought to last us another week"

Lorien
01-22-2002, 09:08 AM

Eomer Dinmention

Talierin
01-22-2002, 11:37 PM
*Tal claps for Mike's great deed. "Hoist the sails!" she bellows, and the great sails with the white tree of Gondor worked upon them unfurl. Soon they are sailing fast in the wind*:D

Morwen
01-22-2002, 11:42 PM
*Morwen slowly opens her eyes and stares at the open window and the clouds sailing by. "Ooooh, I have such a headach", she said slowly rising on her elbows. "Where is everbody?" She slowly swings her legs off the bed and sits for a while rubbing her temples. Weakly she tries to rise, but falls to the floor gasping from the pain shooting up her leg. Crawling to the door, she opens it and calls for someone to help her up.*

Aerin
01-23-2002, 05:10 AM
*Aerin helps Morwen to her feet.*

"Are you alright? Do you think it might be the remnants of the monster's poison that makes you feel light headed?"

Beorn
01-23-2002, 05:43 AM
Not a challenge...HA!

Gimme someone else to eat!!!

Lorien
01-23-2002, 10:57 AM
"The Vala Lorien was my father...."

*Turning to Mike B....*

"Spit King Eomer out already he must be half digested by now....."

Morwen
01-23-2002, 10:36 PM
"Thank you Aerin. It must be, I can't think of anything else." *Spies the boy's curiously*

Beorn
01-23-2002, 11:05 PM
*Mike spits him out, and, well, he is half digested...Serves him right for saying I'm not a challenge!

Eomer Dinmention

*Eomer falls on the ground he then gets up his covered with spit and fish oil that Mike had for lunch. He then takes out his staff and waves it at himself. Eomer returns to normal with his cloak.
Eomer then waves at his staff Mike. Mike turns to normal all tied up

"Ok then you are a challenge but you are apart of this Crew and i can not get hooked on one of my fellow crew. I will go look for more fish later but for the mean time i did not like that. I met a man down in your stomach he seems very nice"

*Eomer then goes to Mike and then pulls out fluffy thingy he then tickles Mike to toture him. Once Eomer has had enough he then releases Mike then goes and has a swim.

Morwen
01-24-2002, 10:42 PM
*Morwen watches the fool boys at their silly play. She strides over to the railing and rests her arms on the wood while looking at the sky. "We must be prepared for any dangers ahead," she shouts out loud so that everyone can hear her. "..... and whatever lies behind..." she says silently to herself. She turns around and fiddles with an item tied around her neck. Suddenly, from beneath her shirt, a small, silvery stone apears and casts a heavy light on the ship, causing shadows to leap forth. She quickly puts it away, blushing, and returns to her daydreams. Hoping nobody noticed, she gets out her violin and plays a sailing tune.*

*Circling high in the glare of the sun, a bird of wide girth follows the unsuspecting ship below. A sudden flash turns it's eyes toward the ship, and it smiles in complete malice.....It had found what it was searching for.*

Aerin
01-25-2002, 06:06 AM
"I sense a foul wind. Is it just me, or is it just getting colder?"

Lorien
01-25-2002, 01:04 PM
"I must be getting col too then for even i percieve a foul air....."

Aredhel
01-25-2002, 04:57 PM
Shivers,"I percieve a foul air also."

Disappers inside the galley," I'm going to make everybody some lembas."

Beorn
01-25-2002, 05:21 PM
Beorn, as a human again, puts his hands up and says "It wasn't me"

Perhaps we are coming to the Numenore Triangle? It is said that many here have smelt what they described as doom. It is said to be a warning to those who pass by that there is still evil in the area.

Morwen
01-25-2002, 07:01 PM
*Morwen wraps her cloak tightly around her body and looks at Mike. "What kind of evil?" she asks coldy.

*A shadow suddenly darkens the deck and everyone looks skyward. Morwen's face contorts in rage then extreme fear as she realizes what the creature is. She rushes to her room, grabs her bow, and carefully lifts a white, silver tipped arrow out of it's little case. She runs back to the deck, bow and arrow in hand. But the beast is nowhere to be seen, and the she recieves odd looks from the rest of the crew. Blushing, she turns and looks at the sky.*

Lorien
01-26-2002, 08:32 AM
"What was that shadow......??"
"This journey is getting more perilious"

Aerin
01-27-2002, 05:08 AM
*After studying the sky, Aerin stands watch with her bow and arrow at the ready. She will not be suprised by this malevolent force.*

"I think we should take turns in keeping watch for this foul thing. It may be the only thing that will preserve us."

Lorien
01-27-2002, 12:31 PM
*Turns towards the others and says.....*

"Aerin is right we must stand watch....two people at once.....me and Aerin shall hold the first watch the rest of us shd. rest......"

Beorn
01-27-2002, 04:59 PM
After five hours watch, Beorn and King E. come to give Lorien and Aerin some rest.

King E. stays on deck, while Beorn goes up to the crows nest to keep his single eye glued to the sky.

OOC: I might be implying something by single eye could someone give me one?

Aerin
01-28-2002, 03:05 AM
*After consorting with Talierin, Aerin presents Mike with a fake eye. Happy? :D *
(Ahem)
*Instead of lying in her hammock, Aerin decided to go below decks to where Tsornin was stalled. Tsornin was restlessly prancing around his stall, most unusual behaviour for him. As Aerin looks about, she notices the lanterns growing dimmer, as if some unseen hand was slowly turning them down. Upon closer inspection, Aerin notices a slight leak in the hull. Running back up to the deck, Aerin awakens all the members of the crew.*

"Arise! There is some malevolent force trying to keep us from reaching our destination! Hurry, bail out the bilges! We must keep this ship from sinking!"

Lorien
01-28-2002, 06:07 AM
*Lorien aroused from his short unfulfilled sleep says.....*

"All right all right we're coming......"

*Reaches for a bucket but then decides it would be easier to just use magic and get the job done faster. Waves his hands around and 4-5 large buckets automatically start bailing. Meanwhile he goes above deck and makes sure everyones awake and alert.*

Ciryaher
01-28-2002, 07:13 AM
A blur of light appears above the deck of the ship, and slowly the image of Ciryaher appears...then falls to the deck with a yelp. He picks himself up off the ground and dusts off his legs.

"Well! It's about time I found you all. I--" he paused as he sensed the dread above. In a lowered voice he asked, "What terror has overtaken this vessel? And where's my bunk? I'm beat!"

Ciryaher sees the water in the ship. "Ahh," he says in a Ford-Prefectish way, and rigs a gravity pump with some tubing. "Just keep those above the waterline and it should be fine."

Talierin
01-28-2002, 05:00 PM
*Tal looks up from bailing just in time to see Mike wave his short hands, shout something, then loose his balance in the swell of the sea and fall all the way down to the deck, where he promptly bounces back up to the crow's nest. His new fake eye rolls off the ship into the wild ocean. Bailing forgotten, Tal can't stop laughing.*

Aerin
01-28-2002, 07:41 PM
Oh, drat, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this!
*Aerin grabs a net and nabs Mike's fake eye and then superglues it into his head. That should keep it! :D *

"Ciryaher, what took you so long? We could use an extra hand on deck."

*The waves become more violent as the moments pass. Soon, they are tossing the ship and its crew back and forth like rag dolls.
Suddenly, Talierin notices long, tentacle like arms reaching over the sides of the ship.*

"It's attacking! Heeeelp!"

Beorn

Is it truly as we feared? Even one I, I can see what it is! It is the watcher of the water of Moria! Or at least it is one of it's relatives (probably it's aunt from the looks)....

Morwen
01-28-2002, 10:46 PM
*Paying no attention to the rest of the crew, Morwen looks skyward and whispers a prayer. The rest of the crew may not know the peril that awaits them, but she knows, all too well. Suddenly, Morwen's body jerks erect. Her eyes are forced shut and her lids are flickering madly. Her body convulses wildly and sweat poors down her face.
"What is happening to her?", asks Aerin, puzzled. "She is battling another will", replies Mike, looking at Morwen. As Mike utters his last word, Morwen's eyes shoot open and she looks upon the crew with pure dread. Suddenly, her body shoots up and stops three feet away from the hungry maw of the foul beast. Her arms are force up away from her sides. The necklace that she had tried to keep secret, suddenly apears out of her shirt and floats before her eyes. She looks at the stone and then at the beast in pure terror. She mouths the word "no", unable to speak, tears streaming down her face. The necklace with the silver stone suddenly snaps and is guided to the claws of the waiting beast. He grabs it and swings away to the north. Released from the spell, Morwen falls limply to the sea.

Aerin
01-29-2002, 02:28 AM

*Lorien thinking Aerin might need some support pulls the same stunt she does except his is a water-dragon shape and catches up with her*

"Aerin, do you know what that necklace was?"

*As he says this the fell creature which had disappeared came up in front of them holding the necklace in its claws and starts attacking them with his tentacles*

*Aerin and Lorien start slashing at the tentacles but unfortuantely one of them snags Loriens leg and pulls him into the water. Underneath Lorien breaks free and continues hacking away at the beast. He suddenly leaps out of the water and sticks his sword into the creatures eyes. The creature gives a wail of pain and drops the necklace and turns in all its fury to Lorien.*

"Aerin, get the necklace quickly!!"
"HEEELLLPPP......."

Aredhel

Ciryaher
01-29-2002, 04:33 PM
Ciryaher draws his axe and checks his boots and greaves to make sure they are well adjusted, then sighs and charges the rail nearest the great Kraken.

With a roar, he leapt upon the maw of that hideous spawn of the deep, and saw it's beak--like the talons of some evil bird of prey. Noisome stenches came forth, but he turned his attention to the great Eye along it's bloated head. Like a dragon's it was, but not so, for it could lay no spell of awe upon those who looked into it, but rather the sense of endless hatred and hunger. With a great stroke of his axe, he clove the eye.

He then stuck his steel boot into the gaping beak and plunged his spiked gauntlet into the kraken's vitals. He found what he sought and pulled forth a necklace; slimed with entrails, but intact. Ciryaher lept into the water and hauled himself up a rope ladder. He held the necklace up to the light and looked upon it in wonder.

Aredhel

Morwen
01-29-2002, 11:05 PM
*Safely on the deck, Morwen cries with her face in her hands. "Thank you, thank you all. But you are fools!" she says trying to regain herself. "He will not stop! He will not stop until he has it. He will send a more terrible foe every time we defeat the last. He will not stop....."said Morwen fearfully, crawling to Ciryaher. With shaking hands she grabs her necklace roughly and races back to her cabin. The door she locks and then sits in a dark corner, holding the precious stone to her breast. "He will not stop...."*

Aerin
01-30-2002, 12:19 AM

"What is that necklace? I demand to know what she is hiding!" Ciryaher demands shaking his fist. Ciryaher walks to the door of Morwen's cabin and begins pounding on the door.

Morwen
01-30-2002, 08:55 PM
*Morwen opens the door angrily, tears still staining her face, and tells Ciryaher that he would not want to know of the burden she carries. She flies past Ciryaher, and makes her way on to the deck. There she leans on the railing and watches the sunset.*

Aerin
01-30-2002, 10:25 PM
*After throwing a reproachful look at Ciryaher, Aerin goes over and stands by Morwen.*

"If you do not wish to reveal the nature of your necklace, then please do not feel pressured to do so."

*After giving Morwen a hug, Aerin walks over to Ciryaher.*

"She bears a terrible burden, so please let her alone. She can deal with it in her own way. We must be steadfast and loyal for her, so her way will be eased."

"Humph! I already cleaned the deck!"

Ciryaher
01-31-2002, 03:33 AM
Ciryaher ignores the goo and goes below the deck.

"Ladies, you forgot to wash your sheets!" he yells, and throws the beds overboard.

Aerin
01-31-2002, 03:38 AM

Ahh, put me in a barrel, eh?

Ciryaher mutters for a moment, then trudges down to the mess hall.

Morwen
02-01-2002, 12:10 AM
*Morwen slowly walks down the steps to the dinning hall. As she approaches the table, she uclasps her necklace and slowly places it on the table in front of the crew. It shines brightly and lights the faces of the awed crew. Looking at the necklace sadly, she begins.....*

"Long ago, when Melkor still ruled the north, our village was blessed with an explosion of stable magic. Our elders, as we called them, channeled this magic into stones. This magic was able to store lives, thus we were able to store the life of one member of the village in a single rock.
It was during this time that I was born. A life stone was imparted to me, and I was charged to guard it, not only for my life, but for the lives of all Dark elves. Even though this stone contained my life, it also contianed a link to the lives of any Dark elf present at the "shinning"as we call it, be they dead or alive.
The stone shines brightly, like is is now, when the bearer is in good health. It dims with bad health, and blackens when the bearer is dead.
You may ask why this has to with Him, the haunter, as I call him. Well as I said before, this magic was stable, but not good or evil. It can be corrupted...."she paused.
"When a life stone is corrupted it shines black when the evil user is in health, it lightens when not in health, and becomes an ordinary grey when dead. But that is not important. What is important is that the lives of every Dark elf present at the "shinning" can be touched, and brought back to this world. But only under the power of evil. Many Dark elves there were that day. Many....
When the stone is corrupted, the bearer also becomes corrupted. When the stone is broken, the bearer dies. When the stone is scratched, the bearer is scratched." again Morwen paused.
"This thing, this force, that is trying capture my necklace with not stop until he/it has it. Each enemy we defeat will be harder than the last. Each enemy will be more magic resistant. I fear that you will not be enough...." said Morwen sadly.
"But the stone has a power of its own. When used properly, it can destroy any enemy, magic resistant or not. The only problem though, is it drains the life force of the bearer. Small enemys can be defeated with little strength used. However, larger enemys can kill a bearer if he/she uses to much power.
That is all I have to say for now. Cirayher, I hope you reconsider your anger, it is entirely missplaced. Thank you" she said scooping up her precious necklace. She looked at the crew a second longer with a compassionate stare, then turned and headed for her room. She shut the door and silently sat on her stiff bed looking at the clouded sky.*

Ciryaher
02-01-2002, 02:45 AM
Ciryaher wipes the piratish look off of his face and bows his head. He walks slowly to the door of Morwen's cabin and knocks softly.

*Eomer goes to Morwen's door and also knocks on the door

Ciryaher
02-01-2002, 03:50 PM
Cir pushes Eomer back and bows before Morwen. "I am sorry for my...rude behavior and hardness towards your plight. Tell me, what must we do? Do you mean to take the necklace to Valinor or somewhere else?" he asked.

He fidgeted with something in his pocket, then went on. "If I may, I'll be leaving for a while. I will soon return, with a new ship, for this one I do not deem sufficient, unless it is to Valinor we go (for only the Elven ships will suffice). I shall take my leave of you and return with a ship more worthy of such a crew."

Ciryaher bows and pulls a very strange stone from his pocket. The stone is sapphire, but the aura around it swirls and sparks, and he places it in a small silver rod that had been hidden in the metal of his breastplate. He gripped the rod with both hand and spoke a single, unintelligible word, and the air before him began to shimmer. There was a sigh and a low rumble, and what appeared to be the entrance to a luminous, blue tunnel opened before him. He said, "I shall return with all haste upon a great dromund. Hyehkhah!"

At that, he stepped into the tunnel and disappeared, and the blue opening vanished with a quick snap.

Morwen
02-01-2002, 06:53 PM
"There is not much you can do. I came on this voyage to run from Him.....and to find something. And no, we are no going to Valinor...even their protection would not be enough" she sighs. "A plan I am making, wether it be good or bad, I will not tell you. Just know this.....when in doubt, check the floorboards."

*Morwen closes the door, thanks Eomer and Ciryaher, and sits silently on her bed in deep thought.*

Aredhel
02-01-2002, 07:55 PM
She is clearly puzzled,"Check the floorboards?" She goes to stand just off the side of Morwen's cabin.

Morwen
02-01-2002, 11:39 PM
Just remember that....it'll be important later.

*Morwen lays on her bed looking into herself, when her necklace, warm from her body heat, flashes coldy. She stirs from her thoughts and rushes out of her room screaming to the crew that this is the second come.

Out on the deck, mist covers sea and the sky. Slowly she approaches the prow, her necklace now freezing. Realization floodes her mind and she turns to run back to the crew. A sudden blast sends her flying toward the rear of the ship. She lands with a thud and tries to pick herself up, blood streaming from her head. She rises, slowly, and looks ahead to the dread rising there. A giant beast, clothed in black skin, and deep blue eyes rises from the boiling waters. Huge is his size, and normal magic resistant is he. A shape, she could not determine, but his name she new. Cychilla, he was called, terrible and malicous. Morwen could not believe that He would send such a monster. Such a monster could only be defeated by one thing.....

Time suddenly slowed around her, she unclasped her brightly shinning necklace. Looking from right to left, she slowly raises it in both hands, and closes her eyes. Her hair floats around her face as she begins the spell, and a white glow apears around her body. Slowly it brightens till all else lies in shadow, then suddenly, a beam of pure white light shoots forth from her upheld hands. It strikes the beast, but it is little bothered by it. Frustrated, Morwen furrows her brows and concentrates harder. Still the beast seems unaffected. Gasping in sudden pain, Morwen falls to one knee, but still resumes her attack. Time becoming her enemy, she strays to memories of old, of lands far away. Blood flows from her nose, and her mind shoots back to the present. Out of the corner of her eye she sees her crew members, her friends, rush towards the foe. But deeper she goes, deeper into her strength she plunges. Till she can see no more and all is black....*

Ciryaher
02-02-2002, 06:06 AM
***laughs at Eomer and says, "Just kidding around! And you couldn't touch me before you were a smoking crater ;) Don't underestimate me***

There is a loud humming noise, and then a rush of air as a gigantic blue opening appears in the air. Out of this tunnel (like that which Ciryaher had entered) a gargantuan vessel came sailing. It was, in fact, the Emporer's personal Battleship; a great dromund with ultralight steel plating and numerous long-range weapons. The ship was perhaps 500 feet long, and its wide girth floated high on the waterline. Numerous assault ramps were on the deck, and catapults and giant crossbows lined the flanks and forecastle. Four great masts towered above the vessel and from the highest flew the great banner of the Emperor.

The Emperor waved from the poop, and winded a great horn. Oars sprang from their hatches and began thrashing the water, bringing the great ship to ramming speed quite quickly. At the great beast the dromund charged. The ship's razor-edged, jagged keel ran before it and sliced the water sinisterly.

*Morwen laid back down listening wind rustle at her window. Eomer had left and the rest of the crew was probably on the deck watching out, watching out for her. She rolled over and let out a sigh. Must she do this? Must she go through with her plan?
She was about to rise when her stone flashed cold. Carefully she rose, listening for any noise of a struggle atop on the deck. She slowly lowers herself to the floorboards and lightly drops a package into the revealed hidding place. She rises and a freezing wind strikes her body....*

*Mike saunters down the corridor and prepares to nock on Morwen's door when the air becomes cold and lifeless. From inside comes a voice... not Morwen's melodic voice...but one of cold harshness. "Your friend isn't here anymore" it rasped to the door. "She has gone to see an old friend, hehe." A wind rattled against the door for a few seconds, and then all was still. Mike opens the door to find Morwen's clothes scattered on the floor, herself nowhere in sight....*

Beorn

Beorn inspects the room, and sees a nail, loose, in the middle of the floor...A single nail, sticking up, that undoubtedly would've been beaten down because of the pain that would be inflicted by it. He thinks, for minutes, and minutes, and longer. He thought "when in doubt, check the floorboards." Upon this realization, he tried to pull up just one floorboard. He could not. It was evident that normal pulled up that board. He sprang up to the deck, and called all to follow him, to pry up the floorboards. Upon getting one up, they easily removed another...

And so they went down, into the depths of the ship, where rats scurried around, to find Morwen, or what had taken her, or what was left of her.

Ciryaher
02-04-2002, 01:31 AM
As Cychilla stoops over the small vessel to grab at a deck, Ciryaher suddenly blasts upon his horn. Catapults and other ballistic weapons released large, almost jar-like objects and hurled them at the creature. Trails of smoke followed them, and as they struck the creature, they shattered. Cychilla was doused in some thick liquid which burned his flesh like acid, then as suddenly as it had covered him, the concoction burst into searing white flames.

Ciryaher drew his dromund alongside the flailing monster and winded his horn again. Several hatches opened along the flank of the ship and fired out heavy bolts, as did several ballistas along the port rail.

Lorien
02-04-2002, 06:08 AM

Ciryaher
02-04-2002, 04:12 PM
Ciryaher watches the beast sink beneath the waves and orders his crew to tether the vessels close together. Ropes are tossed between the ships, and the assault ramps slide out and adhere to the deck of the smaller vessel.

Ciryaher strides across to the small vessel and steps aboard. Seeing the frantic searchers, he shouts, "No! No! You'll tear the ship apart and sink her like that!"

He closes his eyes and changes his vision. When he opens them, the world is a mix of black and white. The water seems black, and the people around him appear as white forms. He casts his gaze to the deck, and he sees a few scurrying forms; mice under the planks he guessed. Ciryaher paced about the deck, looking here and there, then went below to the Lady Morwen's cabin. As he lowered his eyes to where she had last stood, he reeled backwards with a gasp.

The Emperor rubbed his watering eyes and sat up, the world having returned to its normal shades and hues. "I know not what has happened," he said, almost dazed, "But whatever it was I cannot see, for it is blocked to my mind and from my sight."

*The acidic droplet slowly rolled to the edge of the stone almost as if looking over the edge. It nestled for a second, seamingly unconcerned of its surroundings, bouncing to and fro. Finally, in a long fluid movement, it fell and landed in a sizzling mire on one in shackles. The woman did not flinch or even open her eyes as the smell of burnt skin filled the room. She lay, sparsly dressed in a white dress, in a gloomy grey room, pools of acid covering the majority of the room, herself lying on an island.
The stone door moaned in resistance as it was forced open. Two figures stood silhouetted by the darkness at either end of the door, and one more there was that approached slowly. He carelessly splashed through the acid til he stood before the poor excuse for a woman.
"Tis good to see you again, Elendae" he whispered harshly. "It has been very, very long" he stroked her cheek. She pulled away from him and glared with malicious hatred.
"You still have fire I see, but that shall be your doom here" he laughed.
"Are you not going to ask me why? It is a question most used in this situation. Well?"
"I already know why, Dayown", she said camly. "Don't you remember? I was there with you, I served under Him with you. I loved you."
"Yes, I remember" he turned round and faced the door. "And I remember that we were close to corrupting the stone and its bearer when you ran!" he shouted at her.
"I'm glad I did, never would I have wanted to be with you, you underling. But now you have failed, I have not the stone. Your master will be angry with you" she said triumphantly.
"Hehe, you silly girl! In all those years you didn't learn that if the bearer is corrupted then the stone will also be corrupted. And did you not also learn that our past master developed his own stone so that he may link it to the bearer and touch the Dark elves. You are the fool! Risking yourself! Now the rest of your crew will die" he twirled in rage at the name she gave him. He grabed her by her hair and pulled her up roughly. "Black is good....but white is better!" he screamed, shoving her mercilessly towards one of the guards.
"Take her to the Dark room, and keep her there until every strand is white!" he ordered, smoothly dissapearing into the darkness. "Good luck to you, Elendae my love!"*

*Darkness rested heavily on the land, and the quad snake tower glistened dimly. That night screams echoed through the growing mist. Screams of deep torture and fear.*

Down, in the deeps of the ship, Beorn discovers the necklace. There is only a small, steel room under the floor boards, barely large enough to cramp in five people...There are no ways out, all the walls and the floor are solid.

So, the necklace is found, now two questions remain: Where is Morwen, and what is she doing without her clothes on? (:D)

"What is that? I have not here to hear about it if it was talked about *Which i know it was* explain what that is please."

Ciryaher rises to his feet and ponders for a moment. He is already in deep contemplation when he hears Mike exclaim at the discovery of Morwen's necklace. He looks over Mike's shoulder at the thing (which he is strangely drawn towards) and reaches out for it.

With a strange glimmer in his eye he asks, "May I see that? I think that perhaps I can find where the Lady went...just hand it here."

Ciryaher moves around in front of Mike and holds out his hand, anticipating the deposition of the necklace in it.

Beorn, seeing how the necklace had immeadietly (sp?) began to lure him, backed away. When told of the power that it could give, Ciryaher fell under it's spell, same as Boromir did in the Tale of Frodo and his Ring.

Beorn explained to Ciryaher the peril that something like this could bring if wielded by the wrong person, and that he doubted anyone on the ship, even Morwen if she was still present, could posses such an object.

Ciryaher suddenly glared at Mike. "What do you mean?! I just need to see the necklace for a moment! I can find Morwen if you let me touch it," he says almost vehemently.

He stands, teeth bared, staring at Mike with hand outstretched. He suddenly snapped forward and ripped the necklace out of Mike's hand and tightly clenched in his fist, and drew his axe.

"Stand Back!" he shouted, seeing several other advance. "Just leave me be for a moment!" He sniffed at the necklace and put his ear to it. He then began staring deeply into the depths of the main stone on the necklace and went into an undisturbable trance with the chain locked in his iron grasp.

Good idea, Lorien! *winks*

*The night slowly faded casting a farewell glare at the rising sun. The rays crawled up from the sea and slowly made a journey towards an isle of small dimensions. Nothing lived here; black, smoldering soil puffed and wailed at the suns rays, and the fumes released choked. But rising from the ground in the center of the isle were four snakes leering at the sky maliciously. All were entwind and reached far hoping to get a glance of the void. At the pinnacle of the tallest there was a watch tower that could spy things many days away. A watchman was posted at this tower for all of his days, and when he died, another replaced him.
Through this tower and down long, winding steps we come. To the left tunnel we walk, then round a corner. We enter a room holding five doors, each door having a different rune carved upon its face. We enter the door to the immediate right and travel down a staircase to a long, and quite large, hall. Located at the end is another room sealed by a large stone door. Acid slithers from each crack, blood flowing here and there with it. The room's occupant, hiding her face in her now white hair, trembles slighty and tries to staunch a wicked wound on her hip.
The night had been long, and she had almost been broken. But they didn't want that. To be evil of free will is more dangerous than to be evil of a broken will; and they wanted her to be dangerous. Someone had to command legions of dark elves.*

I want another four off to check the sails and rigging. I want Mike back up in the crow's nest keeping watch for anything else this mysterious persona might feel inclined to throw at us. Tal, go get the maps from the captain's cabin and bring them to the ready room; I want to be ready to plot a course. I will need someone to swab the deck, and someone to clean the cabins.
Oh, and someone will have to dance between the devil and high water to check for any possible problems there..."

The ships pulled apart and Ciryaher brought his great dromund about so it faced the south. With a soft hum, the great ship lurched forward, but gained speed at an astounding rate. *Liquid blackness swarmed the room and materialized into a being not that of this world. It summond its slave, and when he arrived, spoke to him thus, "Have you any questions of your orders, low one?" said the wind blown voice.
The man cringed at the reference to his station and replied, "I have one that concerns Elendae. You wish not to have her spirit broken when she is corrupted. How is it then that we can corrupt her without a breaking? I can think of no way" he replied timidly.
The voice laughed harshly. A thin stream of liquid branched off of its body and formed into a necklace of a sort, a necklace embracing a black stone.
"Put this around her neck and she will be yours. Take it off and she become herself again. It will not break her but fill her with blackness" he spoke.
The man laughed hoarsly and departed with a bounce in his step.

Morwen lay weakly against the wall trying to keep her heavy eyes open. Footsteps echoed without and she new her doom had come. The last vision of her eyes caught the necklace being lowered...then all was dark.
Elendae took the outstreched hand and slowly rose with a malicious smile. "My lord....."

Inside he takes the necklace off of his collar and holds it before his eyes. He thinks for a moment, and then suddenly pierces the center stone with a sharp ray of light. A flame is kindled withing the stone, and he puts it around his neck, rather than the collar.

He returns to the deck to see the dark island nearer. Soldiers are gearing up and the assault ramps are angled forward for a shore landing.

Ciryaher's well trained crew is not greatly affected by the fell spirits, but some of the beasts aboard the ship went terribly mad. Seeing the weakness of Aerin's shield, he decided to go on the offensive.

Large missles were hurled from the machinations on the forecastle of the dromund, and they sailed through the air and struck the black tower, bursting into flame. The clouds over the castle began to lighten, and rays of light fell upon the black haunts that had long been hidden in darkness.

The keel of Ëarcaraxë skidded upon the obsidian sand of the beach, and the assault ramps slid down to the ground. Ciryaher took up his horn and winded it, then lead the charge down the ramps and towards the tower. Boulders and grapeshot were rained down as covering fire.

Ciryaher leads his men to the base of the black tower, and he looks up. "Open in the name of the West!" he demanded, banging on the solitary door, "Come forth, corrupting serpent! The Edain have come for you!"

The barrage had ceased as Ciryaher drew nigh the door, and he put a powerful ward around himself and his men for protection. Taking a step back, he espied Elendae upon the tower, and grudgingly he aimed his hand at her. There was a burst of light from the sky, and she fell to the floor of the tower, stricken and dazed. A large portion of darkness was driven from her mind, and she gained some control over herself.

A servant of Dayown opened the door slowly, grinding upon it's great hinges. "What do the petty mortals wish of the Master of the Black Isle?" the frail thing said defiantly. Ciryaher came at the thing from beside the wall and lifted him high into the air by the neck. Suddenly, the necklace was jerked backwards, and Ciryaher felt a bitter pain in his lower back. With unexpected fury, he whirled around, sending his assailant flying, but with the necklace in his posession. Ciryaher reached around and found a dagger sticking out of his flesh. Out of the corner of his eye, he say a tall, evil-looking elf rise to his feet with the necklace in hand.

"It is MINE!" Dayown shouted gleefully. Ciryaher had no time to avenge his loss, however, and rushed up a small flight of steps into a grey bedchamber above the gateway of the tower. Elendae stood staring maliciously at him beside a window, yet before she could react, he ripped the black necklace from her neck. As she crumpled to the floor, Ciryaher blasted the evil item with a divine light. He shone a pure light in the room, which revived and slightly healed Elendae, and the proceeded to drag her out without a word being spoken.

Ciryaher drew his axe and spake, "He has taken the necklace. What must we do?" The sounds of battle went on outside.

*Morwen leans heavily on Ciryaher trying to regain some of her will power and strength. She casts Cir a worried look then launches herself towards the stairs in which Dayown had disappeared. Slowly, and painfully, she drags herself forward grasping wildly for any hand hold. Her strength gradualy returns and she increases her speed still wary of any attacks.
In what seemed like hours, she reached the summit of the tower, and there stood Dayown, holding her life over an abyss of death. She slowly raised herself till she stood tall and proud.
"Elendae, help me now and you shall live. You will be queen of the darkness! Isn't that what you always wished? To be known? I can give you everything you wish for" spoke Dayown, a light tremor in his voice.
"I will not, Dayown. My crew, my friends are in the bowls of your castle fighting for my life and their's, and I will not abandon them.
Give me my necklace and I might not slay you" she spoke calmly.
A wail escaped from Dayown's lips and he spoke thus, "Then you shall die..." and he threw the necklace into the swirling abyss of darkness.
Morwen's eyes widened for a second then her legs sprang into action and leapt after her life.
The wind tussled her hair madly and dried her eyes so that the world became a blur of blackness. Her left arm was firmly planted to her thigh while her right was out stretched, her fingers fighting frantically for a grasp on life. Ever slowly she inched towards the necklace. Then her foremost finger touched it then grasped it firmly. Her right arm, now holding the stone, she arranged to the fashion of her left.
She was falling rapidly now, fairly close to the earth. Her eyes furrowed and a gasp of pain escaped from her lips....and she was suddenly surrounded by glimering white feathers. And as suddenly as the feathers appeared, wings bloomed from her battered back. They glistened as the snow, and spread far, slowly her incredibly.
She touched down lightly on the solid earth with one toe then the other. Setting down firmly, she slumped her shoulders and lowered her wings slightly while looking mournfully at the ground beneath her. Her once white dress was slashed in many places, some now floated lightly on the wind. Blood crawled down her arms and legs and brusies dotted her body. Her now stark white hair cascaded down her face.
The sunset suddenly appeared behind her and shadowed her angelic body in fires of orange and red. Slowly her head rose and she looked at the crew with her sea grey eyes. "I have something more to tell you..." she whispered camly.

Ciryaher leaps up the stairs after Elendae, his axe blazing in his hand. His head rises above the floor of the tower just as she leaps after the necklace. Dayown stares down after her, and then turns around, looking somewhat disappointed.

Ciryaher pulls the dagger out of his back and flings it at Dayown's arm. The dark elf shouts in pain as the blade sinks into the sinews of his upper, left arm. Dayown recovers and draws a pale sword, gleaming with some fell poison, then advances furiously.

"What is this?!" he cried angrily, "A petty mortal comes to disturb me?" Dayown pulls the dagger out of his arm and licks the blade, smiling wickedly. He casts the dagger aside and stalks towards Ciryaher, looking at him with a calculating gaze. "I know little of men," he began, "For they have always been to weak for me to consider. What brought you here with my love?"

"I doubt that Elendae still has any love for one such as yourself, Dayown," Ciryaher answered flatly. The tall elf came right up and stood above Ciryaher, looking down upon him. The Emperor suddenly grabbed the elf's hair and dragged his face down level with his own. "Persuade me to let you live," said Ciryaher, but he also noticed that the entrance to the roof had vanished.

Dayown jerked away, and with a flick of his wrist, a shroud of darkness enveloped the tower's roof. "Foolish man! I know what you think you are. You won't give me any sunburn in the darkness I build!" he spat. He suddenly rushed at the Emperor, and pale sword clashed with bright axe.

**ooc: sigh...**

Dayown brought his sword down upon Ciryaher's buckler, and with some fell spell, it shattered. The Emperor retaliated with a backhand and swung down with his axe. Dayown dodged to the side and strongly kicked Cir in the face, then slashed his flank with the pale sword.

Ciryaher shouted out as the wound immediately began to burn, and he blindly swung his axe. Dayown swung his sword again and caught the axe under its beard, sending it flying out of the dark shadows surrounding the pinnacle. Ciryaher grunted and punched the elf in the jaw while he momentarily gloated. Dayown dropped a dagger down from inside his sleeve and brought it across Ciryaher's face in respite.

The poison that had lain on both of those blades began to work into Ciryaher's mind and body. Wraithlike illusions drifted in and out of his vision, and a burning sensation coursed through his veins. He staggered back and received another slash across the arm and chest; and as Cir began to stumble backwards, Dayown grabbed his hair and pulled him back to his feet. Kicked in the groin, Ciryaher crumpled to his knees, and was again pulled up only to be smashed in the face with the butt of Dayown's sword. He collapsed onto the stone floor, but Dayown did not relent, and drove the dagger into Ciryaher's stomach. Letting out a gurgling cry, Ciryaher reached his hand behind his back.

Dayown stood looking down at Ciryaher's bleeding form. He reached down into the pool of blood in the Emperor's mouth and then licked his finger. "You were easier to kill than even I would have expected," he said in a wicked voice, "Now, alas, it is time for you to depart this world. Pity that you had to die for--"

At that, Ciryaher drew a wooden, paddle-like object out from under his back. There was a swift stroke, and Dayown's arm was severed as it brought a sword down to Ciryaher's throat. With an ear-rendering scream, Dayown vanished into the the opening that appeared on the floor. The shadows about the tower disappeared, and Dayown was nowhere to be found. Ciryaher and the severed arm lay bleeding upon the cold stone.

"Morwen, are you alright? I will get you back to safety."

*Once Aerin brings Morwen to safety, she goes back for Ciryaher. When she reaches him, she notices his skin is burning and he doesn't respond to anything. Pulling him onto Tsornin, she has to fight her way back through the Orcs. The route to safety seemed longer, and Ciryaher's motionless body kept slipping, forcing Aerin to constantly grab him to keep him on her steed's back.
Eventually, she reached the edge of the fray, then dismounts and gently lowers Ciryaher to the ground. Examining his wounds, Aerin discovered grevious slashes and cuts.*

"The poison has begun its deadly work. He'll not live much longer if the deadly substance is not removed. I'll need athelas if he is to survive..." Aerin mutters under her breath.

Ciryaher
02-11-2002, 12:17 AM
Ciryaher groaned and coughed up some blood as he put his hand in his pocket. He pulled a white, marble-like sphere and lets it roll out of his palm.

"That," he spluttered, "Will aid *cough* you with your healing." The Emperor laid back his head, his bloody battle-dress sprawled out around him, and rested.

Morwen
02-11-2002, 02:36 AM
*Morwen stands worriedly by Ciryaher and grabs his shaking hand "hold on Cir..." she whispers. Wrath grows in her heart and she is unable to keep still. She looks angrily towards the pinnacle of the tower and takes flight. She soars through the sky, weaving in and out of the now pouring rain. She touches down firmly in front of the severed arm and looks defiantly at Dayown.
"I knew you would return" he spat. "But you are too weak to defeat me, so here is where you will die" he said, casting his other arm high in the air.
Morwen readied herself for the blow, and when it came, was thrown from the tower.
Dayown laughed, for he thought she was easily destroyed...
Suddenly,Morwen rises out of the murky darkness and begins to glow with power unlike that of the stone. "You may have not known, but I also have powers of my own! When you put that necklace around my neck the powers within it became innate within me! I'm stronger than you think!"
She cups her hands together and a white ball forms, steadily growing till it becomes the size of Dayown's torso. She releases it and it showers the tower in light and wind. Dayown sides steps to the right, but the wind from the ball nocks him from the tower and he falls into the abyss.
The force nocks Morwen astray and she falls earthward, unconscious...*

Beorn
02-11-2002, 02:44 AM
As an eagle, Beorn swoops down to the falling Morwen, and catches her in his talons, ever so lightly. Gently he brings the fair maiden, without puncture in her skin up to the top of the tower, so she may go wherever she wants

Ciryaher
02-11-2002, 03:38 AM
Ciryaher lay bleeding and the house of his spirit crumbled. He opened his eyes for a moment, and feebly reached towards some unseen thing in the sky He rested his head and smiled warmly, but his eyes closed never again.

Those about him bowed their heads, and a light shone down upon the fallen body of the Emperor. He began to glow, and as the light became blinding, there was a flare white flames. As his companions looked back to where he before lay, they saw only a faint aura; his body was nowhere to be found.

Naz stays out to the side of the battle, cutting down any orc that comes to close to him. But he does aid the battle by throwing a ball of shadow into a group of Orcs. This ball explodes into a brief vortex which sucks the entire group of 50 orcs into it before it disappears. He chuckles as they scream

Morwen
02-11-2002, 11:39 PM
*The canyon rose up before her, its majesty taking her breath away. She slowly walked forward over the crimson soil and spread her wings wide. She could feel the life force of this place, it was like that of her own...it WAS her own.
Suddenly the canyon began to warp and change colours. It became a sullen grey with tints of black a white splayed across its once vibrant cliffs. The plants that had once grown green were now dead or decaying.
The rock beneath her sliped and she fell into the grey abyss...*

*Morwen slowly awoke, drenched from the pouring rain and sore in quite a few places. She slowly crawled to the edge of the tower and looked feebly down at the swirling figures of battle. Rocking back and forth for a second, she calmed herself, and began rise. "What has happend to Ciryaher?" she calls to Mike. "Is he yet well?"
A blackened force nocks her from her feet and she falls head first over the tower. She regains herself soon and soars to towards the ship.
A dark figure appeared to her right and sharply cut into the path of an oncoming storm cloud..*

Aerin
02-12-2002, 01:39 AM
*After Ciryaher's body disappears (OOC: *grumbles* :D), Aerin gets up to go get Morwen... again. As Aerin feels the dark forces rising, she draws Gonturan and runs toward the tower. Her battle cry echoing throughout the fray, she races into the tower, cutting down all the Orcs in her path. Gonturan swings from left to right, slicing through flesh and armour alike.
Soon, Aerin reaches the tower door. Seeing it locked, she grabs a spear from a dead Orc and forces the door open. Quickly climbing the steps, she ascends the dread casement. Opening the trapdoor to the pinnacle of the tower, she espies Morwen near the edge.*

"Morwen, do you need my help? My sword is yours!"

Morwen

A meteor streaks across the sky over the ship...a sign to return to its safety, perhaps....

Lorien
02-13-2002, 05:47 AM
*Lorien goes bonkers on the orcs slashing away and occasionally zapping groups of them. He makes his way through the orcs and reaches Morwen's side and starts muttering a powerful spell that releases a flaming red ball that explodes in front of a 30 strong orc group. Then he suddenly grins and takes over the soul of about 10 orcs and uses them to slay the other orcs.*

Morwen
02-13-2002, 11:18 PM
*Morwen gathers her crew around her and points towards the ship. "You must go and get her ready to sail. I'll stay with Aerin and hold them back so you shall have a clear run. Go!" The crew looks at her and slowly, one by one, departs in the direction of the ship.
"Aerin, I'll send them a little surprise, and then we both must run as fast as our legs may carry us" she shouts to Aerin, as she forms within her hand, a ball of darkened light. She releases it and it slams into the swarming foes. The force nocks Morwen and Aerin to the cold earth. They quickly rise and run for the ship*

Another meteor streaks over the ship, heading south...

Aerin
02-14-2002, 05:14 AM

Morwen
02-15-2002, 09:12 PM
*Morwen lays peacefully watching the minutes fly overhead, ducking and twisting as they prepare for another day. Her thoughts wander to another time and another place; a place that held her heart and soul. A place that began her on this voyage.
She slowly rose from her comfortable position and walked towards the cabinet that held her weapons. She grabbed a handsome sheath from within and drew the wondrous weapon it encased. She held the crystal sword up before her and gazed into its depths, hoping that it would reveal their destination.
The sword suddenly became mirky and swirled till colors began to appear. She watched inently as an image began to form. A sudden wind and light escaped from the sword and danced gaily with her garmets and hair. She closed her eyes and concentrated on the image and the wind and light increased. She faught to control the surging power and let out a scream; it was hard to control such a powerful thing in her weak condition.
Recongnizing the signs of a finished image, she opened her eyes and looked upon her sword. It showed an island of green wealth and a people of pure hearts. Then it shifted suddenly, n
