Im sorry, but i havent read any of TOlkiens books except for the hobbit, fotr,ttt, and the rotk so i havent read the books Chris Tolkien wrote and sim. etc so can you please give me a run down on the history of sauron and morgoth if you have a link that i can go to it would also be much appreciated

Briefly, Sauron was originally one of the Maia who followed Melkor in the First Age of Middle Earth. He survived the overthow of Melkor when the Valar and Elves destroyed Thongorodim. I forget the full details but they can be found in the Silmarrilion. Hope that's some help.
