Did you know that the inscription on JRRT's tombstone reads Beren, and on his childhood sweetheart's (sorry, can't remember her name), it reads Luthien?
It's the only clue to non-Tolkienites who's final resting place is there - the greatest ever author. Apparently he always thought of himself and his wife as Beren and Luthien, his greatest love story.
I just found that out, and thought it was so touching that I would post it! :)
