RP 31: The Stranger of Light

[Aroghel]

One day in the village of Hobbiton, a tall being appeared out of the sky. He was filled with a blinding light. He fell to the ground and looked unconcious. A small Hobbit boy, named Jaggo, was the only thing that saw this amazing event. He went over to the being and asked him,

"Ar. . are you. . alright?"

Still lying on the ground, the being replied in a familiar voice,

"Uggh. . . I think so. Thank you young man. What is your name?"

and he got up and the Hobbit was up to his knees.

"Hi, uh, my name is Jaggo. What is yours?"

"I am Aroghel, Elven Lord of Light."

The boy stood perfectly stiff in awe and said,

"You, you are an Elf?? WOWWY! I've never seen a real live Elf before, and to my luck, an Elven Lord!!"

Aroghel looked down to Jaggo and smiled. "You are a strong-willed young boy. I like you. I want you to have this."

and he took off his suit and put his hand into a pocket and pulled out. . .

[Glory]

*walks near there and sees the elven lord and the hobbit and stares looking at them*

[GondorsDaughter]

In the shadows a Ranger watches intently from herpost an Elf Lord bestowing a gift upon a Hobbit child. It was a very odd sight but she kept silent she was only here by chance and chance may have more instore for her.AND CHANCE DID HAVE MORE INSTORE A VILLAN SNUCK UP BEHIND HER AND KILLED HER

[Glory]

*looks at GondorsDaughter's body* well this sound like something that the potion that those wizards gave me could fix...*gives to GondorsDaughter the potion and she is healed and alive*

[Lorien]

ooc:-i'm not participating but glory you can't revive dead people, thats a necromancers job (like me), and gondorsdaughter aren't you overreacting to whats happened in rp#27 (Arkenstone)? just apologise to everyone and join the bleeding rangers if you want to. Dain will forget his anger eventually

OOC - sure you can join - anyone can join if they want, just take this seriously and don't screw up the storyline, lol. oh, and no more ooc, lets keep it clean - go ahead and pm me for something! ok - on with the story!

[Aroghel]

All of a sudden, before Aroghel could give the gift to Jaggo, he suddenly froze with his hand is his pocket.

"Wait - I sense something - something evil! We must go, NOW!"

Then Jaggo said, with a freightened look on his face,

"But. .but what about the gift, and my family, and my home!"

"We don't have enough time, but, I guess we can quickly stop by your house to give your relatives a last greeting - we are going on an adventure! A long and dangerous one, I might add at that. But you are brave, and i think you will undoubtingly volunteer to go. Take nothing but food, we must pack light. We are going to go to somewhere safe to camp for the night - do you know anyplace close to here we might stay?"

"Uhh, yeah. My uncle lives just outside of the Shire, but I've only gone there with my parents - never alone."

"Oh dont worry, my dear Jaggo. You will be safe with me! But when we get there, I will give you what once belonged to. . . well, you'll see. Hurry, we must get to your house!"

"Right! Let's go!"

And they ranned through trees and grass, up hills and down hill, until finally they came to this small Hobbit hole. Jaggo opened the door quickly and he swiftly ran in. But Aroghel had some trouble getting in - since he was about 5 times bigger than a Hobbit! As soon he crept in, he noticed that the hole was unoccupied. The lights were turned out, and nobody was there except for him and Jaggo.

"I dont get it," said Jaggo. "My parents should be here - Oh wait! they went to the fields to pick vegetables. I guess I will have to write them a note."

So he went and got a piece of parchment and wrote a quick note. Then he got some food and they set off.

Aroghel finally got back out of the hole and they ran towards Jaggo's Uncle's house. It took a while, but after an hour or so, they arrived.

"What is your uncle's name, Jaggo?"

"Tigon Timber-Finger! That's my last name, too. We're known for being the best at cutting trees and lumber."

"Oh, that is swell! Now let's go see your uncle Tigon."

They walked up to the door and knocked. There was no answer until after about 3 seconds, and then a small Hobbit opened a door with a suprised look on his face. He had short white hair with a small beard. He was an odd sort of fellow, but none the less was he a true Hobbit!

"Jaggo! Oh Jaggo what are you doing here? And who is that with you?"

"I am Aroghel, Elven Lord of Light! I am here with Jaggo because we are going on an adventure. Odd things have been happening lately. Do you mind if we come in?"

"Oh sure! A friend of my nephew Jaggo is a friend of mine!"

So they walked in, Aroghel with a little trouble, and sat down by a nice, warm fire.

[Glory]

*Glory has been following them stares outside looking at the nice hobbit-hole of jaggo's uncle*

[Kit Baggins]

(OOC I'm joining this RPG as Jaggo's father ;) .)

When Jaggo's father Kit returns from the fields, he finds his home deserted- there is no sign of Jaggo anywhere. Then he spots a note lying on the table.
I have to go- there's no time to explain. I must go to Uncle Tigon's house. Don't worry about me.
Jaggo
Kit frowns.
"I'll give him 'don't worry!'" he mutters. He runs outside, jumps onto his pony and rides off.
*
Kit arrives at his brother Tigon's house an hour later. He runs in, and glares at his son.
"What do you think you're doing?" he demands. "You scared your mother and I half to death!" Then he notices Aroghel and Glory. He stares at them, extremely surprised to see an Elf and a human. "Would someone," he says finally, "please tell me what's going on here?"

Aroghel answered, "Good Day! I am Aroghel, Elven Lord of Light. We are on buisness of great importance, and going on a quest."

It took Kit awhile to answer. But he finnaly said to Glory, "And who are you?".

Glory answered "I am Glory, just Glory, if you please."

Aroghel said, "We are going to see Ungatt. No time to explain. Lets move on now"...

OOC: This is my first time doing this, don't be too hard. :)

[Glory]

*laught when she sees the surprised face of kit*hehehe *smiles* then we must hurry
OCC: well my character has been following them not speaked but you've already put me on the story so if nobody cares I will pretend that I am with them by the way it is not so bad for a first time but try of don't speak for others withouth ask first I am ok but I can't speak for others...

[Aroghel]

Aroghel and the rest walks out of the door and Jaggo asks Aroghel,

"Who and where exactly is Ungatt?"

"Ungatt is an old friend I met a while ago, before I appeared from the sky. He lives near Rivendel, just by the river of Traumet. He is one of the only people I remember of. . ."

*they head toward the south-east

"Its time I give you, Jaggo, the present I was meaning to give to you when i was found on the ground."

*Aroghel pulls out of his pocket a bright, gold glowing orb. He puts in in Jaggo's hand

"This was given to me by the Counsil of the Elven Lords. It is a magic rock, called Letosu. It is used during battle. Whenever you need a weapon of some sort, take Letosu out and put your right hand on it. Then say the secret saying 'Rock of the North, Light of the East, hear my plea. Sendforth a (weapon) right before me!' Then whatever weapon you wish for will come to you, from the Light."

*Jaggo stares at the rock, as if in a trance

"I. .I dont know what to say. .Thank you, Aroghel!!"

"Your quite welcome, my dear Jaggo."

*everyone looks jealously at Jaggo

"We are running behind on time - let us make haste!"

So they were off - off to visit Ungatt the Great.

They traveled along the road heading east. It was spring, and along the paths were wildflowers which had just come into bloom. The birds were signing sweet tunes. It was hard to believe that anything could go wrong. Jaggo was wondering what evil was going on. With the happy atmosphere in the air, he wasn't the least bit worried. As they trotted, they saw many farms. Jaggo noticed that the fields were bigger the further they went.

OCC: Sorry, I thought you were in the story, Glory. :o

[Kit Baggins]

(OOC am I still with you at this point?)

[Glory]

*she walks behind them*
OOC:hey don't worry Ungatt, if everyone it is agree I will keep pretending that I was with them (somehow)...

Jaggo kept walking when a noise came from behind me. "Hey son, will you remind me why we are going?" Jaggo had been so lost in his daydreams that he hadn't realized his father had been trailing him.

OCC: Does that answer your question, Kit? ;) And Glory, maybe you can die along the way.

[Glory]

*walks behind them looking happy*
occ: no I think that I prefer to live anyway I was thinking to appear inside story like friend later not only keep spying and following them...so I'll stay

[Aroghel]

Having walked a long time they all wanted to stop, take a rest, and get a drink of water. So they halted a small river, although not Traumet. Then, in front of them jumped out from the trees a figure. His name was Arisen Pheonix, and he ment no harm.

(OOC: here ya go Arisen, now you can participate in the RPG. Go ahead and describe yourself since i dont know what your profile and details are.)

[Aredhel]

Following Arisen, an elf maiden dressed all in white steps out after him or her. She had a bow and arrow and was preparing to shoot it when she saw the others. She releases the arrows into the trees.

[Glory]

*she looks vary surprised at the elven maiden* well who are you and what do you want?

[Aroghel]

*the stranger just stares at them blindly and doesn't say anything

Jaggo said with excitement, "Maybe she's an Elf Queen! Or, maybe she is here to kill us! All I can tell is that she is an Elf."

[arisen pheonix]

a human about 5'11" short blond hair plain clothing of black a pack and an assotment of weapons battle scarred looks to be between the ages of 17 and 20
"my name is engma (I AM A GIRL) i saw you give a talisman to the boy it intrested me but though it was the talisman that caught my eye i am not intrested in it now i wish to know more of what this is about and help if i may its not everyday that you see an elf lord bestow a gift upon a hobbit child"

[Aroghel]

"We are on a quest to seek my past, find an old friend named Ungatt, and destroy my arch nemesis, Morgothas. You are welcome to join us in our adventure."

[arisen pheonix]

"then join you i shall for i am bound to none save that wich i give my word and i would have followed you anyway so it doesnt matter" she replied

[Glory]

*she looks to the elf maiden and wonders what would this elf would want and if they are in front a friend or an enemy she looks to Engma and she smiles at her with a little bow of welcome*

[arisen pheonix]

engma acknoledges the bow with a nod and says "when do we start?"

"We have already begun." said Aroghel. "Would you like to join us? We need all the help we can get."

[arisen pheonix]

ooc:i think i alraedy said i would

"of course but one thing do i have to fight orcs or something intellegent or both? not that its gonna change my mind i just wanna be ready for any thing"

[Aroghel]

"Well, we want to try to avoid those things. . . but most likely we are going to have to. In the end we are going to find Morgothas, and I will find the mystery behind my past. We will fight many evils of Arda, but none as bad as Morgothas. We must go now to find Ungatt by the river of Traumet."

So they were off to see Ungatt, once again.

[Kit Baggins]

As they walk, Kit is talking to Glory and Engma. Suddelny he turns to Aroghel.
"Who isMorgothas?" he asks.

[Aroghel]

"Morgothas is my arch enemy. He is an Elven Lord, like me, but he betrayed us. (There was an Elven Lord Council, and he quit.) We were so angry, and to top it off with that, he killed my only family, my brother Amosel. No one knows quite why he wanted to kill Amosel, so he must know something that we didn't. I swore I'd take my vengeance on Morgothas ever since that dark stormy day.

So that is who Morgothas is and why I want to find him, and destroy him. . . The reason why we are going to see Ungatt is because he is very wise, and he can help us on our quest. I think that he knows where Morgothas resides today."

[arisen pheonix]

"a famillar problem i myself am on a quest to destroy my father for he killed my mother and left me in a forrest to die now i seek vengece. because what you have told me i will not leave this quest untill either i die or mogothas is destroyed" engma declared

[Aroghel]

"Very well then. I assume that if we head to Ungatt's place only stopping for camp once tonight, we will get there tomorrow afternoon. Does anyone have any idea of where we could camp tonight?"

[Glory]

What about there? *Glory points to a place outside the way and betewen two trees*

[Aredhel]

The elf maiden had followed them,"To answer your question, I am like an elf queen among my people, for I am in fact, THE Lady of Rivendell, Aredhel Ar-Fieniel. I heard some noise so I decided to investigate...and I found your group."

She looks over to where Glory was pointing.

[Glory]

*looks at them waiting for an answer*

[Aroghel]

"That looks like a great place to camp for the night, Glory!"

*smiles at Glory and everyone else

"I think we all need a break from all this walking"

*sets up the tents and fire with the party's help - gets to sleep right away

[Glory]

"ok let's go" *Glory was very happy to have the opportunity of being helpful. She hoped that nothing went wrong that night she closed her eyes and falled sleep pretty quick*

[Tarien]

"Greetings!" comes a clear cry from the woods. The party turns, and out steps and elven maiden. A clear gem sits on her brow, glinting like a star. To another Elf, she would need no introduction. She notices the human Glory, and nods.
" I am Tarien Undomiel, Lady of the Noldor." she says. " You make enough noise for a herd of Oliphaunts, so I investigated. If you will have me, I will join your party." She sees a questioning look in one person's eyes, and seems to read their thoughts. "I am able to take care of myself" she says archly. " And I have seen horrors you could not dream of in your worst nightmare."
Her face softens, and even smiles slightly. "Again I ask if I may join this little outing. I heard you speaking of Morgothas." Several eyebrows raised. "Be glad he is not truely the dark foe! I have met both. Morgothas is....evil, yes. But if you seek revenge, dig two graves, one for your foe and one for yourself. And, Arisen Phoenix, vengence is only justified on behalf of another, never yourself."

[Aroghel]

"Vedui, Tarien of Noldor! You may join us if you wish - we were about to go to sleep, but since you came here, we would be glad for you to tell us about yourself, and what counseling you have for us."

*Aroghel gets out of his tent and bows down to Tarien

"Please tell us about what where could do to find Morgothas."

[Aredhel]

"I have seen worst nightmares,"she says, looking closely at Tarien, thinking she has seen her before,"Why did you come here, Tarien?" She bows.

[arisen pheonix]

"had i only wanted to destroy my father because he left me for the forrest to have i would have long since joined him and learned his dark arts it is my mothers long slow death that i wish to avenge" tears of anger burn her face wich was contorted into a evil looking snarl at the thought of her mothers death

[Glory]

*nods back at Tarien and after a while of looking at her she says* "well if you say so I believe you" *looks at all* "well if you all excuse me I am tired and I am going to sleep" *stands up and goes to sleep* :o "zzzzzzzz..."

[Aredhel]

She listens to Arisen Pheonix, before crawling into her tent and falling asleep.

[Glory]

ooc: now we're both sleep :p zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (don't pay attention I am relly weird today)

[Kit Baggins]

Kit crawls into his tent.
"G'night everyone." he mutters. A few moments later, the others hear the sound of snoring.

[Glory]

*she is soo sleep that she doesn't hear kit's snores* z z z z

[Aredhel]

She wakes up at the sound of snoring.

[Glory]

*she keeps sleeping* z z z z z z z z z z z....

[arisen pheonix]

engma who despises those little tastes of death people call sleep climbs the closest tree and begins sharpening her knives (no one notices cause the snores cover it up) and wonders how people can. sleep every time she closed her eyes her mind was flooded with nightmares of her past

[Glory]

*in the morning everyone wakes up Kit, Engma and Glory seem to be the only ones who slept well that night*
"hey, why everyone looks so tired?"

[Aroghel]

"It had been a long night. C'mon everyone we need to get up. We are almost at Ungatts home."

*starts shaking Kit until finally he wakes up

"Just about 1 more hour til we're there."

[Kit Baggins]

"Uh?" Kit asks, finally waking up. "Where am I?" He rubs his eyes, and looks around blearily. "Better get going. Right." he says, yawning.

[arisen pheonix]

ooc: how do you change your member status thingys?

engma grabs her pack and checks her gear then says "lets hit the dusty trail"

[Glory]

ooc: oyu go to edit profile and then in Custom User Text you put your new name.

[Glory]

*Glory follows them*

[Tarien]

Tarien travels close to Aredhel. She speaks softly so none of the others may hear.
"That worst nightmare was the hosts of Valinor in their wrath. Or a Valaraukar in it's most terrible form, and fighting it. Or Morgoth in the peak of his power, as he strode to the field of battle, and hearing my sister's cry as Fingolfin fell." She spoke again, and the pained edge in her voice dissapeared. "I did not mean to startle you, but your reply to me made me feel as if I had to explain my statement."
She smiles slightly, saying "Only chance brought me here. And I.." she stops, lost in thought, or else asleep in the manner of Elves, still walking wide-eyed in the world, but lost in Elvish dream.

[Glory]

"so how much it is until we get there?"

[Tarien]

Tarien seems to suddenly wake.
"It would depend on where we are making for."

[Glory]

"we are going to Ungatt's home"

[arisen pheonix]

"yes, yes ungatt is waiting. hurry up you bunch of layabouts!"

[Glory]

"I'm hurring!" *she says smiling*:D

[arisen pheonix]

[Tarien]

When will we get there? This thread isn't moving v. fast.

[Tarien]

"Our course is taking us to far aside! We must make for Laurilindorenan!" Tarien cries to her companions. "Evil grows while we tarry upon the road!" She spurs her cat on in a new direction, and with a spoken word the others' mounts follow Tai, her will guiding them.
She releases the animals, leaving their riders to choose whether they follow the new path or no.

[Glory]

"well now what do we do?"

[Tarien]

"Whatever you wish. Follow Ungatt, supply, loose precious time; Or follow me, and slay the evil we banded together to fight!" Tarien replies firily. "We have long been idle. Our foe has not."

[Bombadil's Bane]

OK, fine then you power hungry.....person! I will then !:rolleyes:

[Tarien]

'Will what?' Tarien asks condescendingly. 'And what bush did you pop out of, short one?'

I'll follow you of course! Sorry for being obscure but I'm rather excitable and things don't form themselves in me 'ead and I've just been following at a distance hoping to make an impression and why do you want to know what bush i've popped out of when we've only just met.......:rolleyes: ;)

The Elf-Lady gives a high, clear laugh.
"Please forgive my rudeness, Master Bombadil!" She said, actually dismounting and bowing low to the newcomer, a rare action for a Queen.
"I am glad you follow, as he is a formidable foe, and will have help, I am sure. I cannot fight a war by myself!" Tarien says. "If you have no mount, you may ride with me on Tai, and perhaps lessen your score! I assure you she is quite big and strong enough to easily bear us both!"

[arisen pheonix]

i am sorry to all but my pacience grows thin let us leave to slay the evil that is ahead

[Tarien]

'Indeed!'

[Glory]

hehe yes we have to move fast!

[Tarien]

A wind springs up, bearing a foul smell.
'I guess we are already too far behind. We must make all haste!' Tarien cries, and spurs her cat on. She hoped the Lord of Light would follow, and take the lead. After all, this was his quest.

spurs her horse glad to be going-anywhere
