RP 33: The Mithril Stone

[Lorien]

Lorien signals Tarien and the others to be seated. He turns to the guard and says, "You seemingly can't handle guarding the gates so why don't you get our guests some food and drink? Go!" He rubs a hand over his weary face and Tarien asks again, "Why haven't you continued?" Lorien says, "I haven't continued because most of my half seems to have been kidnapped." Elgee and Eve gasp while Tarien and Glory display identical looks of shock. Lorien almost starts laughing but then controls himself. "Yes, Heridor, Babbler and Aredhel have been kidnapped. My men are searching for them but unfortunately we are running out of time and we cannot wait for them."

[HLGStrider]

OH!!! Poor dear Babbler... and all the others of course... We must get them.

[Lorien]

Lorien says wearily, "We cannot wait for them Elgee for we still have to go on. Unless of course they somehow escape their captors or my men find them by tomorrow."

[HLGStrider]

Well, what are we going to do now? Have we found out anything about the crazy guys with the darts? You'd better give us a recap.

[Tarien]

'I will find them.' Tarien states.
'You cannot leave us, and we have no time to wait for you.' Lorien replies.
'I don't intend to leave.' Tarien counters, then looks at Elgee. 'Do you have a spare cat?'

[HLGStrider]

Several... Here, take Badger, he's my fastest.

[Tarien]

'Thank you.' Then Tarien meows loudly, causing Tai to run up. Lorien looks slightly disturbed by the cat's boldness in coming up the steps. Tarien whispers several words to her own cat, and it immediately bolts off.
'If the still live in this world, Tai will find them.' Tarien states. 'Now let us leave, as we have much to do, from Lorien's account.'

[HLGStrider]

The more to do the better...
Elgee interjects.

[Tarien]

Once the remaining members of the company get outside, and prepare to leave, Elgee leads Badger to Tarien, then looks to her own preperations.

Tarien speaks a few soft words to the cat, then leaps upon it's back. It is willing and tame beneth her, as it is not an evil cat, and soon the party is gone.

[HLGStrider]

None of my cats are evil.. Let us ride!!!

[Lorien]

As the company rode onwards towards the very outskirts of Angmar, Lorien who was riding his steed Pandora and was slightly ahead of Tarien on her cat suddenly stopped and Tarien to avoid crashing into the horse turned quickly and fell from the cat. Lorien holding a hand up for silence gazed out far ahead of them and slowly a smile formed upon his face, "Our lost friends seem to have found us. And they have Tai with them. Looks like your cat found them Tarien." And as the words were out of his mouth Aredhel and Heridor, who were riding on Tai, came upto them looking worse for wear and bruised and battered.

[Tarien]

Tarien does not re-mount Badger, but instead stands up, not moving. The wind blows her hair as she cries to her cat. Tai hastens twards her, showing her power and strength at carrying her two riders with gentle ease despite her speed. Soon Tai reaches the main party, with Babbler in tow.

Elgee, sobbing, embraces Babbler...
