You know, this RP doesn't have to die if people keep posting.... I won't ever understand why RP's die because I can have fun even if the story line is boringer than boring. :confused:

Nice to see you again! :) The RP is in the Lighthearted section under the name of Mithril Knights RP. Here's what it's about:

Gondor is constantly fighting orcs that assail Minas Tirith. These orcs are bigger, stronger, and more fearsome than uruk-hai. The Mithril Knights, who have a hidden fort in Ithilien see the "uruk-ghash (orcs of fire) running by their fort towards gondor. Their army is all over the place though, so they cant attack them. Every night, heavy footsteps are heard a few feet away from the fort. Every night gondor is attacked. The brother hood of knights decide to ride to the east to spy on these creatures. One night, while they are riding close to mordor there are 2 flashes of blue light in the mountains. A great tower is raised there. In that tower thousands of uruk-ghash are created. The mithril knights spy some more and find that the mysterious blue wizards have raised the tower and started this. The men of harad and umbar and khand have joined legions with them. The story starts with the brotherhood observing the blue wizards raising the tower and thousands of orcs pouring out of the mountain. Each time one comes out a blast of blue fire can be seen in the mountain (hence the name uruk-ghash). The brotherhood then ride to gondor to inform the king of his peril. Messangers ride from gondor to get aid from any who will come. a PRIVATE RP for mithril knights.

We are right now making our way into Mordor to spy out the land and hopefully to find out how exactly the blue wizards are able to make so many orcs at one time.

since it has come to my attention that the map i posted didnt work HERE is the map. I figured a few possible proeblems with the previous one. too big in size. :confused: I cropped this one greatly. Maybe it just wouldnt fit on the screen :confused: i went under print preview and this baby fits on a 8.5 by 11. Remember-blue is gondor. DARK green is rohirrim, yellow is the knights current location (i dont think we started climbing the stairs yet) LIGHT green is our fort, red is the orcs (known orcs), and DARK red is the wizards tower and the mountain. The elves didnt ft on the cropped version but lets say they are in mirkwood now. Enjoy.

Thanks Anamatar - great map. :) Just a couple questions though: Are all the little red dots orcs? They look dark red to me.... Also, is the wizards' tower right by Mount Doom, or is it that clump of red dots?

the darker red is the tower and mountain. I actually think i deleted mt. doom and took a different mountain. the lighter red is the orcs.

forget the dots then. Only heed the CLUMPS OF RED. BTW-im gonna post in the discussion thread that the wizards have started to breed balrogs and dragons as well as uruk-ghash and whatevertheheck that thing was. okay? I figure itd be kind of hard to take over the world with ORCs!

And Galdor...I can't remember his character history, but has he been to valinor? (his character, not galdor himself :p ) If he hasn't been to Valinor, he cannot shine in white light, since that is a virtue of Amanyar only...

no i cant (id love to be) but what are the chances that you wont be selected? Its against forum regulations, im sure, to deprive someone access to a guild. So why waste time waiting for someone else to welcome the new comers? Who wants to have a tag-team battle? Ill go with someone against 2 people in the battle arena (this guild is dying)

Ahhh.... I have thought about something now for a while and have come to a decision. I'm in three RP guilds, and have decided that that is a little bit too much, so I'm going to follow Anamatar's example and retire from Mithril Knights. I'd really like to concentrate all my energies on one RP guild as I think I'd add to that guild a lot more if it were the only one. So, I'll finish the RP, and then I'll be seeing you! Anorien in middle-earth and apparentl in the forum's FIC is under direct control by Minas Tirith. And that is claimed. And what do you mean by orders?

What I mean by that is ethier Stages/Levels, or Orders/Elemental.

Stages/Levels, would be like:
Level one: Mithril Knight
Level two: Master Knight
Level three: Great Knight
Leaders(and long time experienced MKs): Not sure yet

or:

Orders/Elements would be like
Mithril Knights
Bronze Knights
Silver Knights
Gold Knights(leader, ect.)

Of course this is still in the birthing process, please add or submit any ideas

I suggest that you guys keep the Knights being the same rank. That was part of the fun of this guild - it was a brotherhood. ;) Just some suggestions, even though I'm no longer a part.

Ahhhh yes, my great Steward of Gondor, to answer your question, the White Council I believe is no longer, so I would think that we could aid Gondor, and I would lead them into battle, *but* I am not to make that, call, ll_12 would since she is the leader of the Mithril Knights know, so you or I should pm her about it.

See, I'm not sure. Hum, well, HI hasn't made any aknowlegment[sp.] that we're with them in alliance. They've made it with the Rangers. Soooooo, I guess maybe right know we're with no one in a alliance, soooooo, I guess that means we could make a alliance with Gondor! Yay! *ahem* (important voice) I am Second in Command here but, once agian, ll_12 will have to make that call, but if she's not here by the time you need the decison, we will go to war with Gondor.

What I needed to know is how this guild was formed. In the very beginning I remember something about it having an alliance and being under someone. I just need to know that. Is there anyone here who was around in its very first days? I just need to know if anyone knows this stuff....

As I have seen only two from the very begining are still active in the guild(don't worry, I checked the Mithril Knights history on this, so it's accurate): Goldberry344 and our leader; LegolasLover_12. So best talk to them about it.:)

EDIT: I just checked something out, and Whiterider, the first, original, creator, old leader of the Mithril Knights, still is on the forum, but never post anymore, strange huh? Anyway, sorry

Nenya! Our guild was formed in alliance with the White Council and for Rohan(who was controlled by Eomer Dinmetion or Mithrandir). But we have no alliance as far as I know with HI. And Rohan is controllred (for now) by Ciryaher, which he as also hasn't made any guester that the Mithril Knights are even under Rohan. So, I think thats where we stand. Maybe pm Ciryaher?

Eliot: it is not "our" rp, it is the forum war, which is in the Serious section of the rp. It has a funky name, and there's about 4 differents ones, like: Rohan, March from the North, Gridle of Goroth(i think that's what it is) and there mite b another but I forgot.

Eomond, as soon as you have the new member list posted I believe a new rule needs to be made. If a person is inactive for more than 30 days they should lose their membership. We should PM all members and make sure that they become active. With the new ideas coming into this guild (coming soon) they should have plenty to do and think about.

Alright, to begin. I have noticed that the threads in this guild have been constantly spammed in. There will be no more of this spamming tolerated. If anymore spamming takes place it will be reported to a Mod.

The entire guild is going to be going through a "cleaning" period. I will be having many of the threads deleted or cleaned out as soon as possible. I will also start some new activities and the like. Our guild should look completely different by the time the clean-up is done.

I am going to be PMing all inactive members. Any members that do not respond to my PM will be removed from the list of members. Also, any member that is inactive for more than 30 days will be removed.

She's getting this because she has so many ideas for this guild, so, she's getting this power so she doesn't have to pm someone all the time to ask for promission to do something. Don't worry, FREEDOM, I don't bite. :p I may sound like it, but I really don't. But to tell you all the truth, this guild will never go anywhere unless we make some major changes. I am just helping make those changes, and getting rid of spamming needs to be the first change. I am afraid that this guild does not have a very good name... it seems to be known for its spamming. My goal is to make it into a serious guild which new members will want to join. So please forgive me if I sound testy sometimes... this guild just needs shaped up a bit.

Also, as soon as the cleanup is done, I will be putting away any powers that I have now. :)

Alright, I have PMed a mod and requested that many of the old threads be removed. I have read through every single thread in this guild and have come across one thing: from this guild's very beginning there has not been very much guidance or direction. Now, the guild has completely lost every bit of what it used to be.

In the beginning, this guild was created to be a "secret" army of the White Council. It was directly under that organization. Now, that the leaders from the White Council have all but disappeared and melded into Heren Istarion, I would like to suggest that you become something like the secret protectors of Heren Istarion (or in other words, Heren Istarion's Jedi). You were created to serve the White Council... now you could serve Heren Istarion in the same way you should have served the White Council. Discuss this amongst yourselves... it could take you far. :) This is not final, for Heren Istarion has not passed it, but it is an idea that I came up with. Both parties should be discussing it.

I have requested that the Inn be deleted simply because it is nothing but spam. I will create a new one, but I ask that in this new inn that the posts all be IC. Think of it as an RP in an inn-like setting. Please DO NOT mention anything that happens in your regular every-day lives. :)

The Mithril Knights discussed the matter amoungest themselves, their taking died quickly, for it was easy to answer. From the group came a man, almost taller than the rest. His dark-blond hair blew gently to the side. The man had a great sword at his side, and shining mail was upon his breast, all the way down to his knees. He had a feather dipped in ink and a paper, he wrote something on the paper, he lifted his hand and a hobbit brought forth a canteen of water to the rider and gave it to him. The leader gave the paper to the rider, who mounted his horse and turned. Éomond (for that was the man's name) watched the rider that he had given the paper to ride swifty to the great members of Heren Istarion.

Alright, let's get the Battle Arena under way! Here are the rules:

The challenger always has first move.
Other knight then has the choice of defending himself or herself or countering the move.
If you choose to defend you greatly reduce the about of injury caused,
but you give the other person a chance to prepare themselves for your attack (meaning that they now also have the choice of defending or attacking).
However if you decide to counter an attack you greatly increase your chances or being injured yet the other person gets no free time to prepare themselves and so is forced to counter your move ,greatly increasing your chances of inflicting damage.
So, what you do in the arena is up to you, but the judge will decide
how much damage is caused taking the quality of the attack and the defence into account.

Every knight starts off with 100% health.
You lose your health depending on the amount of damage caused
e.g. a direct hit, caused by a good attack and a poor defence or counter,
could reduce your health by up to 25%.

Also, the more health you lose the less effective your defence or attacks are and the more easily you are damaged.

Also, we need two permanent judges to watch the battles. Who will volunteer?

The White Council is no defunct so we're basically our own group I believe though I'm not quite sure.

Untrue. The White Council, under new alias, is slowly growing and will soon be teeming with greatness....though I don't think the Mithril Knights have a part to play in it. I made the post before Elessar put up his revival of the White Council thing so it was defunct at the time. Anyway you will have to talk to Eomond or FREEDOM (Where is he anyway? I see him posting other places) about the alliance though I would and think we should jump on it as soon as we can. I also think we need an identity as a guild right now we are pretty generic and don't have too much of a purpose except to have a private RP at some point and a bar. You also forgot the Rangers in that little list of allied guilds.

Don't worry about activity in the guild itself. Since you guys are an rp guild there is only so much you can do and most of it is outside the guild forum. Maybe try to find a way to get into the wars. The Mithril Knights should mean more than organized rping. Mablung had the right idea: this guild needs a new identity. Well....it used to be in the wars....just for some reason the leave of whiterider has diminished the guild from that status.:(

Only a few of us are qualified enough RPers to even think about going on that level I believe besides Nenya is the only one among us who would know where to come in and shes on hiatus. Also Nenya probably has enough on her plate without doing the MK war posts unless you have any other ideas I think we will need to find something else to do.

You have a misconception of the wars. They are not the supreme rps with the greatest posts. They aren't the 5 star rps that get placed in the great smials (well they might get put there....I dunno).

Really I think you are all capable of role playing in the wars. There wouldn't be a question on where to come in. The question is what part you wanna play. Do you wanna be your own "secret organization" as intended in the beginning? Or do you wanna be an elite group of fighters for Gondor?
