Legoman, what's a dairy milk bar?
Honestly wonko, its only the best bar of chocolate in the world. OK, you said you'd had cream eggs, now they're made by cadbury's (boy are they good!) but imagine the chocolate part on its own, now imagine lots of it in a solid bar usually around the size of a mars bar, now you have best bar of chocolate in the world, beaten only by the fact that you can get it in bigger bars!!! in fact HUGE bars!!!!!!! Soooo goood!!!!!!
*drools*
*digs into his chocolate covered walrus*
'hmmmm'
*drools more, and offers some to Grond who sees him drooling and runs to the other side of the room to answer elbereth*

Chocolate covered walrus.....interesting. All this talk about chocolate is making me hungry. But you know, I've never had a Cadbury Cream egg. What are they like?

*Takes a piece of chocolate covered walrus* Hey, I'm hungry!!!

you've never had a... oh dear...
they're amazing, its like a hollow chocolate egg, but instead of leaving it hollow they filled it with the most gorgeous sugar/cream/stuff. so good, go now and buy 76. You shall be converted before you finish the first one... how do you eat yours?

Wow...I LOVE Cadbury's Cream Eggs, but I've never seen a Dairy Milk bar. Interesting. Sounds delicious!!

I can't believe Nim has never had a Cadbury Cream Egg!!
Don't you remember those commercials from when you were little with the bunnies that made chicken noises? Those were ACE! I have a few on tape with my old recording of the Mary Martin Peter Pan. ;)
I also have the "Please Sir, I want some more" Nissin Hearty Cup 'O Noodles on that tape, and the original "Mmmm Good" Campbell's soup commercial." Also on that tape is an Osk-Kosh B'Gosh commercial with a bullfrog and a little kid saying "Osh-Kosk B'Gosh" in a really cute voice.
I remember those commercials cause I watched that tape SOO many times when I was little! :D

But the sugary creamy stuff in the cream egg isn't like the sugary creamy stuff in an Oreo, it's more liquidy and it's sweeter. It's basically cornsyrupy, but it's really good.
Like I said my sister hoardes them...I think she has some hidden in her sock drawer...*roots around amongst her sister's socks and underpants and finds a cream egg*
I hate that they don't sell these all year round!

Nimawae's hope

Yeah, I know that I'm weird. My parents just never got me any.....but I used to love the commercials. Never had the chance to get myself any. Oh well. *Makes mental note to check up on getting those* 76......gee I don't know if the store will have that many....oh wait....were you talking eggs or bags of eggs?

Wonko keeps copies of old commercials? Gee...honey, I think you need a hobby. When was the last time you got out of the house?:D :D J/K

Wonko The Sane
11-01-2002, 10:30 PM
No! I don't keep copies of old commercials, they're just on the same tape as the movies I watched as a kid because we'd tape right through the commercials rather than monkey around with the "pause" button! ;) I haven't seen them in ages though...I should watch them again. Movies and commercials and all. Commercials from your childhood are SOOO fun. :D

And I don't think the cream eggs come in bags. I've only seen them sold individually, and you won't find any in the stores until Easter, Nim so you should just sit tight for a while.

Wow...I had no idea they came in boxes! This blows my mind!

I shall just have to stock up...
Or raid my sister's sock drawer.

legoman
11-21-2002, 06:09 PM
yeah, if you're lucky and you live near somewhere that is a stockist for sweetshops and your parents have a'macro' card its possible to get them in huge boxes, you know the big display ones they stack up in woolworths! brilliant!!!!!!!!
but then you die from sugar overload.

I'm still waiting for them to bring out a cream egg easter egg, you know the big eg but full of the cream... its the dream.

wow, I didn't even notice the change, I use the whole user cp thing too much. Good idea though.

11-22-2002, 06:18 PM
Yay! That would be ace!! A giant egg full of the cream!

That'd be like...Cadbury heaven.

But I didn't know they MADE other chocolate! I went to my mum the other day and I was like, "Did you know that Cadbury makes chocolate OTHER than those little eggs that Ame (my sister) likes?" And she was like, "Yes." And I was like "Oh...well I didn't!!!"

Maybe we should go back to the original topic before we are deleted. Uh..what was the original topic again?

Wonko The Sane
11-25-2002, 11:39 PM
It's a clubhouse, kind of like a pub, I don't think there IS an original topic so I'm pretty sure we're fine talking about Cadbury Cream Eggs.
Anyway it doesn't matter much, this thread is on its last legs anyway.

Hey, we went to great lengths to get that steak, now you can just be quiet and eat it...

hmm, I think this kinda lost its balance since buddy disapeared, he used to keep it nicely in order and draw more people to it, unfortunately now its us 3 and well lets be honest we are not the best at keping things on topic are we!!!

The blood is rushing to my head. *plops back down* Ugh. Ick. Ummm...what's the greatest thing about this clubhouse? Sure, the super informality. Sure, the walrus steaks. Sure, the fact that this is the home of v&f. What else?

12-09-2002, 06:39 PM
ah well, that explains it, you are just not as educated in the ways of... hang on I've figured it out! You're jealous of sam Gamgee cos he's in a loving relationship with Elijah wood, typical, you women are all the same. *legoman looks away* I'm not interested anymore, I'm off to cook some pancakes.

Wonko The Sane
12-09-2002, 07:16 PM

YayGollum
12-09-2002, 08:41 PM
Argh! It's because he's evil to poor Smeagol! Smeagol the Hero! The only reason he hates poor Smeagol is because of what he knows about him from Bilbo's story. That's just craziness. Why would the evil sam hate poor Smeagol that much just from what he did in The Hobbit? oh well.

I just want an ENGLISH English tutor.
To teach me to be English.

And he has to be an English English tutor becuase then he is an English tutor of English nationality.

Plus if I figured that with an English English tutor it'd be fun to hear him give lessons and I could snog him on breaks.

Anyway, that's pretty much how Snaga and I met. :)

I love you, baby.
I love the way that you talk.
I really like it when you call my name.

Oh-oh, I like your sister.

Just the two of us!
And you could get a job driving a school bus.

Gary Gamgee
06-05-2003, 01:30 AM
Gary is out walking in the a part of the Shire he hasn't been down for quite a while. The sun is bright and high in the cloudless sky, the air is lazy and warm. Small flying insects fly around annoying Gary intensly. Paying as little heed to the midges as need be, he notices out of the corner of his eye, the old clubhouse. He hasn'y been there for a long, long time. Wandering over he hopes the old gang are still there and, more importantly had they had any news of Bagcrumble, whom Gary hadn't seen since the duck went off a chicken.

As he gets closer he sees the front door is off one hinge and flayling gently in the breeze. Cob webs cover the porch. He stops. To his dismay he realises the place has been abandoned. 'Too bad' he thinks and wonders over to the very window that Kit Baggins once carefully poured a cold cup of tea onto him out of. And peers in. The place is empty ramshackled a gang of cochroaches where assembled near the fireplace, appearing to make plans. Just as he was about to turn away and go he notices a bottle sticking out the side of the sofa and decides to investigate. He goes in.

The air is not as bad as he thought, the constant breeze has kept it kind of fresh. So he sits down and picks up the bottle. 'A half full bottle of vodka' he exclaims and pours himself a drink.

'Aahh I remember this place'

As he slowly gets drunk, and more incoherrent, he reminiscences.

'Trying to convince Elbereth to eat a special muffin:D '

'Taking Truor down the offy'

'All that trouble with the place burning down '

'Legoman's guitar'

'Wink murder'

Gary promtly falls asleep.

YayGollum
06-06-2003, 03:25 AM
Truor shows up just because I happen to love this old place. "Hey, is there any fish in that vodka? Wait. What happened to this place? The last time I was here, so was legoman and tookish and Wonko! It was finally destroyed? That's too bad. Are you awake or not?"

legoman
06-06-2003, 04:50 PM
we're dozing.

tookish-girl
06-11-2003, 06:16 PM
Hey didn't this place get blown up or something?

Well, I can see there's still some kit-kats left on the floor.
*tookish sits herself down and has a break*

Elbereth
06-12-2003, 04:01 AM
Elbereth passes the rundown clubhouse and notices smoke coming from the chimney. 'Could it be? Could the Clubhouse be up and running again? What timing! Just when I was getting an itching to visit old friends in a nice bar.'

Knocking on the door, Elbereth enters the old clubhouse to find Legoman and Gary lounging on a couch, Tookish sitting in a nearby chair munching on some kitkats happily...and Trouor rumaging through the bar for some Vodka and Fish to wet his whistle.

"HEY EVERYONE! It's nice to see some familiar faces! So what's going on? Hey Truor, could you find me some Elderberry wine in there while you are looking. Thanks!"

Elbereth happily sits down on plush armchair, causing a cloud of dust to fill the room...

*Cough* *Cough* "Sorry about that guys."

legoman
06-13-2003, 01:30 AM
hello elb, didn't expect to see you round here so soon after the refurbishment, you know, they had to do something after this place turned so surreal - sorry guys, I fear some of that may have been my fault...

YayGollum
06-13-2003, 03:17 AM

Gary Gamgee
06-15-2003, 02:13 AM
Gary wakes up choughing and sees the other guys 'Hey everyone' he rasps. 'Truor is there any water over there' he says whilst inadvertantly swiping the Kit Kat out of tookish's hands and greedily gobbling.

'Ahh' he says 'That's better'

Elbereth
06-15-2003, 03:04 AM
"Thanks Truor." Elbereth said with a hurt and pensive look on her face.

"And Nay on the sardine Legoman...it looks a bit gamey to me. Anyway, I'm curious to know too...how did this place die down. I've been away for so long, I forget."

Elbereth takes a sip of her wine and tries her best to relax in the uncomfortable dusty armchair.

"Me thinks we are all a bit mad in here actually."

tookish-girl
06-17-2003, 06:49 PM
I agree, we all go can-can!

Tookish seems to recall something about a light sabre fight but knows that isn't the reason we all stopped coming here.

Actually since this is a clubhouse shouldn't we all be eating Club biscuits instead of kit-kats? I like the orange ones myself!

Can't beleive I haven't made that joke before!

06-18-2003, 02:24 AM

legoman
06-18-2003, 02:33 AM
ah, the dying down of here, I seem to recall it may have been my fault cos I scared people away by going hunting for giant walrus' and then crushing the clubhouse and building others and then eveyone just got confused and I can't remember what happened.

I wont do it again, I promise.

do we have any mint club biscuits, they're the best ones.

YayGollum
06-18-2003, 03:24 AM

Elbereth
06-18-2003, 03:56 AM
"Perhaps we can show those brits our wholesome, down home, southern style, buttermilk biscuits! Mmmmm....I'm getting hungry already!"

Elbereth begins to daydream of baskets full of freshly baked buttermilk biscuits. Then she remembers the point of why Tookish girl brought up the biscuits in the first place...And her fantasy comes to a screeching halt.

"Actually, if I am to have anything clubbed...it would be soda. Club soda is great! And gets out stains in a jiffy too! ;) "

legoman
06-18-2003, 09:21 PM
buttermilk - ick, that does not sound appetising!

try some nice ginger biscuits or something.

hehe club soda, that just doesn't work in my head, not at all. how do you drink a biscuit? silly silly...

*legoman downs a bourbon and turns towards the fireplace (I hope we have afireplace...)*

Gary Gamgee
06-18-2003, 11:40 PM
'Hey legoman can I have a bourbon? Where you find that?' Gary trips over a small thing.

'Ahh Bagcrumble how I miss him. He's never deliberately set out to frightened Trour, at least I don't think so. Why if he was here he could tell if Club soda was the same as Cream soda or more like tonic water? Cream soda with a scoop of ice cream mmmhhn' Gary trips over the same small thing.

'Hang on' he thinks 'wait here' and nips out, carefully avioding the small thing, and goes next door to the conviently situated convience store. And buys goods.

'Hey' he comes back 'I got beer I got Kit Kats I got cream soda' and chucks tookish a packet of orange club and legoman a packet mint ones 'save an orange one for me tookish'. Pours himself and Elbereth a glass of cream soda with ice cream.

'Hey tookish how about a sing-song' and starts singing

'If you like alot of chocolatte on your biscuit join our club'

legoman
06-19-2003, 01:08 AM
*legoman joins in at the end of the song*

'Quack!'

'Hey, Gary, here have some bourbons which have been blended into Earl Grey, it's a delicassy, its called an Earl-bourbon Soda, they're all the rage in Cornwall (the spinning county).'

*legoman pours Gary a drink out of a suspicious looking jug which appears to be steaming a form of green smoke*

'Yum!'

Truor watches the others and their craziness as he goes on a rant. "Yes, buttermilk biscuits are the best. But only when they're nice and flaky and buttery! I've never hear of the types that taste like mint. Sounds scary. I've had orange ones before, but those had lots of cheese in them. Very good. Did we get any club soda, by the way? No singing for me. Ick."
