RP 37: The Stones of Purple Fire, Everquest of the Wanderers

Engma sat in the inn next to an untouched glass of ale pouring over the list of names. She had histories on all of them Garret Monder after 30 years of wanderering moved south and dominated a group of supperstitous primatives that clamed he had magic powers, Thror Brickskull friends claim to have seen him flying after he disseapered from 14 years of wanderering, ect..... Ander's acount was the most useful: it described the Stones, what they could do, hints on location. All very usefull but she could not go after them alone....

Lillyaundra walks into the same bar a little while latter to see if anyone fun was around and sees a few friend and starts over twords them.

Weary from the sun beating down on her back,Emerald sees the nearby bar and walks in.As she did so, she felt that this was not just a walk in the shade,but something much more...

Engma shuts the book. Reality gradually comes to her. She had been studing it for three days with no meals or sleep. She looked at the ale, it was warm. It had sat there for hous she wouldn't be able to carry on this way especially by herself. But the Stones she had to find them. She had to.

Lilly says to herself that she should probibly sit in a corner to see who comes in, before she makes herself know, though it may be a little late for that....

To help her figure out why she got that strange feeling she decides to study the characters in the bar.One looked very tired as if they were awake for days, another looks-wait!-she has seen this person before,somewhere,but where...

I am starting to get worried here, no one is talking and everyonoe is watching one another!!!

engma gathers hr materials and drops a few blue-gold coins on the table. She looks around there is a famillar feel in the air like a memory from a dream. She walks up to her room drops her things on the bed and slumps in a chair without bothering to shut the door. Who or what had been down there? She had felt that before, but where? SShe stared absent mindedly at the fire trying to remeber.

Quellethoniel walks in, sits down, and smiles... Freshness and coolness of the bar revives her. Her panther walks to the fountain and starts to drink water. Everybody turns aroung to see what's going on. Quellethoniel quickly drags her panther back to her seat, and smiles apologetically...

She had had a very tiring day,so she paid for a room.Just for tonight she thought as she walked up to her room. She again felt the strange presence, but was too tired to seek it out.she laid on her bed and quickly fell asleep.

Lilly went up to the owner and asked if it was normaly this quiet,, when he replied no, she got even more worried....something was not quite how it should be....but what......suddenly one person that she yhough she somhow knew faintly, got up and left!!!! that was the biggest movement for a very long time.

Quellethoniel noticed that suddenly evrything went quiet and dark. She watched her panther, whos hair began to rise... Q. quickly collected her things, and asked for the room.

since ther was NO movement save for a silly pair of beings, she deciede to go upstaires to her room and sleep for an hour or two

Engma's thought stop sharply as she feels the famillar presence. She sees an elf walk past to the next room over. "You need to get some rest your getting paranoied" she told herself but remained where she was.

Emerald awoke with a start, it was the middle of the night, but she could not sleep. The feeling was overwhelming,it was stronger now than ever. Whatever was going to happen was going to happen soon, very soon...

Engma picked up the book but did not open it tonight was the same night the dreams had come, what did that mean? And then there was the presence. She fingered the book, no longer aware of it.

[Lillyaundra]

Lilly walked downstaires to get a glass of water but in the window saw the outline of a huge creature!!! It looked like a dragon or something!! Then she relized what it was, it was her old friend Chys!!!

She decieded to go and give her a hard time by scaring her!!!(perhaps a stupid idea but maybe not....)

She walked up noislessly behind chrys and yelled WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?!?!?!

Engma heard a shout and jumped up. Without a sound she crept up behind the dragon and the person who had shouted stopping in the shadows just out of sight.

The dragon rolled it's eyes having no nerves left after it's long
association with this particular half-Elf. It enfolded her with a wing
and said "Young one, MUST you always do that?" It licked her face and
she grimaced.

[Lillyaundra]

well it is tradition!!!! and anyway I what are you doing here at this unearthly ttime of day???

Emerald also rushed down to see what happened.

now they were face to face with each other and the feeling was throbbing inside her head.

Engma ,who can no longer stay awake, collapses with exausten. Falling into the pairs sight.

"I suppose I felt lonely, probably been around you too long! It seems too quiet when you're not around."

[Lillyaundra]

oh who cares, this place is in total diseray! First tnoone say anything then this weird pair comes in and one shows the rudest manners!! then everyone goes to sleep, and i have this starange feeling that I can't explain!! I see that the one accompanying the being with no manners has arrived, and this feeling is so intensified that I can hardly stand it!!

"Young one why are you in such a temper, this is not like you. Shall
I take you some where to settle down for awhile? It's fine time for a
dip in the lake , for you anyway."

Quellethoniel woke up, when she heard "What are doing out here " somewhere. She noticed that she couldn't see anything, that's how dark it was. She could feel some kind of presence... Then she realized that her panther was taking a really long nap on her chest.
Quellethoniel got up, and then she notices two shades on the wall, walking noiselessly toward the next door. She yelled - Who's there??!!!

ohhhh! ouch!!!

anyway what are you doing here!?!?!?!
and I am NOT in a bad temper!!!!!

just go back to sleep!!!! What is this a PARTY!!

Emerald did not know what happened, but realized she was being watched so she tried to sneak back yo her room.

The dragon looked at her down it's long nose and pinned it's ears
back. "Don't shout at me young one I can leave as easily as I came!"

The dragon was certanly an interesting addition to the pack of people she saw,but she still wanted to know what was going on.

Excuse me miss but you could be a little bit quieter, some of us are tryoing to have a conversation and you are giving me a head ach!!

"Young one I beleive one of your friends is in need of assistance

"Hmmm i wonder why," mumbled Emerald as she helped Lilly.

I don't know, maybe she has never seen such a good looking dragon before.....or she looks kinda tired..

"Have i seen you somewhere before?" Emerald asked Lilly.

"I'll wait out here if you don't mind, your buildings are far too
small for my beautiful self."

Engma floats through the darkness of her mind. She sees images from the first quest for the Stones. She chases them in vain, shouting at them. But no matter how hard she tried she made no sound or movement of her own will.

yes no i don't know........This is sooooooooo strange!!! I fell that I know you and even know your name, but I don't remeber ever seeing you before!!

The images were replaced with new ones a dragon majestic and beautifull, and two others. She tried to speak but only whispers and mumbles escaped her lips.

I think she is awakening?!?!? I am no doctor though.....lets just splach her with some water and see what happens

Engma turned on her side and coughed up the water that she almost swallowed. " The Stones we have to get them." She looks around realizing the people are real, "Wh-wha-what happened?"

Quellethoniel runs down, and sees a group of people gathered around pale Emgna...
"Do you need any help? I'm good at curing people... Oh my God, she's so pale! She needs some rest"

"Since i am a healer i would be more than happy to help" Emerald said.

"No!!!! We have to go after the Stones." Engma mumbled as she tried to stand up and fell back down.

[~Emerald Took~]

Stones? Emerald thought yo herself,what stones?

"Your delirious", Emerald said. However she did not believe that these stones had anything to do with delirium.
"Please talk to me in private I want to know more",she whispered to Engma.

[My_Precious]

"What Stones? There are no stones! What you need is a nice long rest..."

[arisen pheonix]

"Help me up." said Engma reaching out to the nearest of the people.

[~Emerald Took~]

"Do you want to rest?"Emerald asked. Hoping that she would get to talk to Engma.

[arisen pheonix]

"No, not right now" she steadied herself "Please come with me there are things on wich we need to speak."

[~Emerald Took~]

"Thank you" was all Emerald said before dissapearing into the room with Engma.

"Who are you I have felt your presence before" said Engma as she closed the door.

[~Emerald Took~]

"My name is Emerald, I have been wandering around for days and I came here."As Emerald spoke she studied Engma."What are these stones of which you talk about?"

[arisen pheonix]

"Long ago when the gods still abode on earth 15 Stones were forged that at first had no power. The stones took on the most desired power of the first person who touched them. they now lie at the site of their first bearer's death." Engma replied as she poured herself some water,"Thirsty?"

[~Emerald Took~]

"No thank you", Emerald said as she pondered over this news."I take it you are looking for them and you will need help,if I am welcome then I shall be loyal to your side. And as you know I am a healer and magic in other ways."
She loved adventures and wanted greatly to be a part of it. She gracefully moved hand through her blue-black hair and and then to her pocket."And as for a drink I always keep an extra bottle of wine close by." She said with a grin.

"Yes, I will need a great deal of help to find the Stones"

" But just two of us will not be able to find all of them"Emerald said,glad to be a part of the quest.

"No, mabee we should confront the others with this"

I am not sure if I trust all of them,she thought to herself,but we need all the help we can get.

Knocked on the door
"Are you feeling better? Do you need anything? Hello, my name is Quellethoniel, but you can shorten my name if you want to.."

"Come in Quell, make yourself comfortable" Engma gestures at the chair.

[My_Precious]

"Thank you"... Quellethoniel walked in, slowly sat down, looked at Engma and Emerald's seriuos faces and asked "Is everything alright? You seem so serious, and...mm..somewhat scared."

"Scared is not the word. Terrified, awe-stuck, exhillerated, intrigued, and skeptical are better" Engma replied without looking up from the papers she was studying.

[~Emerald Took~]

"And that's putting it nicely",Emerald said

Engma nodded blankly still enthralled by what she was reading

Emerald couldn't believe that she was going on such an important quest."When will we be off?",she asked.

"Sunrise the entrance to the first Stones hiding place opens in 12 days"

After hearing that they should soon be off, Emerald stood outside. The sky was dark blue,her hair was almost identical to it.There was even a shimmer of stars in her hair when moved by the wind.Her milky white skin stood out amounst the dark surroundings.And her eyes glowed with anticipation."The time will soon come, the time will soon come..."She said under her breath, "and they will never know..."

Chrysophalax walked up to Emerald and put her huge head down to have her ears scratched. There was something about this She-Elf that
drew the dragon's interest.........

[~Emerald Took~]

Emerald jumped back not expecting this dragon to drop by."Good evening fair Dragon", she said. "How are you this fine evening."She was a little nervous having a dragon so close to her neck but said nothing about it.

[chrysophalax]

"Why so shy She-Elf? That is not in the nature of your kind. I see
that you carry bow and arrow. You would never use them on me would you?" The dragon's voice assumed a musical quality as it gazed into
Emerald's eyes.

[~Emerald Took~]

"Of course not" she said as she quickly looked away.Very clever Dragon, she thought,you almost had me."It is clear that I must be ready for tomorrow" she said trying to get away from the dragon.

[chrysophalax]

Chrysopahlax smiled to itself as it watched the Elf walk away. "This
should be an intersting journey." it thought as it wound itself around the base of a tree to rest.

[~Emerald Took~]

Emerald thought about the trip ahead, she knew that the others would have to be involve in the quest as well,even the ones she disliked. Her silver eyes surveyed the room,she noticed something very strange in the corner. It was a rose.What is this,she thought,it seems to be made out of stone.The moment she picked it up it vanished."That can't be good.",she said.

Emerald quietly went up to the roof,she always found peaceful refuge when she was close to the clouds, and slowly crept onto a low hanging branch and waited for the golden eye of the sun to awaken her...

In the middle of the night noone hears the horse coming down the hill to the inn. Everyone is asleep. Even the rider, a still quite young elven woman. Suddenly the horse stops and as if the rider could read the horse`s mind the rider wakes up. She unmounts the red stud , grabs her bow from her back and creeps around the corner of the inn. Her nose was right, a gigantic dragon laid in the yard of the inn. But it was fast asleep.
Creeping nearer the elf suddenly faints. In the glow of the lantern the wounds of orc arrows can be seen. The horse comes up to the elf that is lying in front of the dragons mouth. It stays there and seems to keep watch.

Still everything is quiet.

Engma wakes an hour before dawn. not had time to count everyone the night before she doesnt question the strangers apperance as she steps back inside goes up stairs and gathers her things and wakes her sleeping wolf then comes back down there was still a while before dawn, let them rest, she thought

The dragon awoke to the sond of someone softly moaning in pain. Rousing itself it was startlted to find a bregrimed and bloody She-Elf
lying near. It carefully sniffed her, ruffling her long hair. The Elf
opened her eyes but was too dazed to be frightened by the creature.
Chrys gently covered her with it's wing and looked around for anyone who could help.

Engma looked up and saw the wounded she elf .her skills were small and using them was risky but she had to. She strode over and gentley touched the she elf's temple. she could feel her magic going out as she saw her wounds closing she could feel the forming on herself. she let go sitting struggling to over come both the pain of the empathic magic and the wounds.

Emerald awoke,she could sense that familiar healing magic being performed.She silently jumped from the roof and crouched beside Engma and the She-elf. "I see what has happened" she said. "My healing powers are not great but they are improving I shall help you",she said to Engma.
She spoke softly and Engma could feel the wounds dissapear,Emerald sank beside the she-elf to rest."What were those wounds from?"she asked,"I had great difficulty in healing them,that has never happened before."

"she had what appeared to be wounds from orc arrows and was losing blood too fast. i used empathy to heal her. its risky if you dont hold on long enough you can make things worse for the peson your trying to save if you hold on to long you can kill yourself. i should have let go sooner but its hard to tell the difference between the pain from the wounds and the pain from the magic. i wont be doing that again for a while"

Chrys, seeing they were trying to help, nudged the new-comer with it's snout. Slowly the Elf sat up putting a hand to her head."Where,
where am I? Who are you people?" she asked weakly.

Emerald slowly stood up and looked at the She-elf,"Why were you in a battle with orcs?",she asked.The is something very different about this She-elf she thought.I shall be kind to all she said unwillingly to her self...

"are you well enough to travel for we must be leaving momentarily" engma said helping the she elf to her feet "what happened? who are you? and many other questions you have im sure but please tell us what happened to you first then we will answer your questions"

[Hirila]

"I`m Hirila, daughter of Hiron. I rode through the woods, looking for this inn when five orcs that lurked behind the bushes came out onto the road and attacked me. I don`t know why. They said something about trying their stone. Ooohhh... I can`t remember all, I know that Manus, my horse killed two of them, I killed the other three. But their arrows.. oohhhh.... - Engma hands Hirila a glass of water - thanks. There must be some magic laid on them, they spun around and the metal melted when it hit me. I could hardly pull them out.

I think now I`m okay. Where is Manus, is he okay? He saved my life."

"He is okay" Emerald said "What about you, do you feel strong enough for travelling, I think we should take a look at these orcs and their arrows!"

"I`m fine. Let`s go."

As they walked Emerald realized why she had trouble healing Hirila. She might be able to trust this She-elf after all...

[Hirila]

Not long after leaving the inn, the group came to the place where Hirila had fought the orcs. Four of them were still dead. But the fifth must have survived. He couldn`t be found anywhere.
"Now, Hirila said, look at those arrows. It`s amazing, the point has really melted. That`s strange!"

"I agree, shall we try and find the last orc?" said Emerald.

*Goldberry sighs and sits on the ground.* "things just started up all of a sudden! Is the stone the orcs were talking about one of the ones we're talking about??"

"Only time will tell."Emerald said.

Lillyaundra who had slept sooo soundly that none of the commotion was heard by her, comesdown to see who is there and finds Goldberry.

*looks up at Lilly and smiles* "did you hear the commotion about the 5 orcs??" she askes. "it bothers me, i wonder what they have to do with a stone."

[Lillyaundra]

Well I was sleeping!! she says quickly and turns brilliant shades of red....

What happened? I think I here people taking of going and looking for an orc!! I'm all for that!

Well I love orc hunting! It is my fravorite hobby!! But this stone thing.....Didn't engma say something about stones????

i hate orcs...but i LOOOVE hunting them, as long as i dont have to get too close to them...the are foul and smelly and slimy and gross.

"You must be Lillyaundra, aren`t you? The others mentioned something about another member of their party. I`m Hirila, daughter of Hiron. And I was attacked by orcs. And right now I have chosen to join you and your party and I hope you will help me hunt that orc. But what stones are you talking about. And why stones? I said the orcs talked about one stone!"

"that my friend is because the entrance to the resting place will open in 11 days and if we want to get their first we had best be leaving"

and leaving soon I might add! Hirila, I thank you for your invitation to go hunt orc!!! I love doing stufff like that, though if it is orc or goblins or whatever, you must hurry to catch them, they already have a good lead on us and it would not suit to simply follow them! TO DESTORY THEM IS OUR CALLING!!!

But I suppose that with this bunch anything could happen! She thought.

"I will be able to serve as your guard, for I dislike orcs, their smell offends my delicate nostrils! They don't taste half-bad though."
Chrys arched her back-ridge in anticipation...

I shall enjoy ths quest very much she said to herself.The dragon seems peaceful I just hope it won't cause us any trouble.She looked down and could sense the orc nearby.Her delicate hands softly touched the ground and she knew they were close, very close...

"This way!"she announced.

*Goldberry stands up suddenly, she is shocked and exclaims:* "there is something close by, i can feel it, but i do not think they are orcs...i have never felt this sort of creature before..."

thinking how strange it was that Goldberry had never felt this presence that I am feeling right now.....I know that I should know it.....but the answer to this riddle is just beyond my reach!

"it is a strange feeling, dark, yet bright. they are not unused to the sun, yet they prefer the night. It feels as if a dwarf were coming, but the darkness is that of a goblin or orc...."

"old vampires can move freely in the sun but only if their very old. hmmmmm i cant think of any others."

((gosh! you guys really posted a lot and I don't have time to read it all now. So.. I am afraid that my character will cach up until the weekend so my character went to get supplies or something and she'll reach all later))

[Hirila]

"I would suggest we just go on and let these things be whatever they are. As long as they don`t do us any harm they may do whatever they want.
I want to get that orc. And what the h... are those stones?"

Engma apologises for not having answered before and now explains what these stones are or are supposed to be the group were talking of.
"Oh, I see", Hirila says "then... do you think... that the orcs could have one of these stones? The one that controls metal? Could be!?
But then we should hurry to catch up with it!"

The party hurries on, always looking for signs of a wounded orcs having passed by and always on the watch for these strange creatures Goldberry mentioned.

"I hope that the orc does have one of our stones, that way we could kill it and then we'd only have 14 more to go!"Emerald said trying to brighten everyones spirits.
I also hope that we shall soon find the rest she said to herself.For she was not willing to fail in this quest...

Hirila cries out. She takes some athelas out of her bag, chews it and rubs it on Goldberry`s temples. This seems to calm her down a bit, but she still jabbers about that killer bunny.
"This might be a task for our more profound healers! I do not know much about this sort of paranoia."

The group marched on the way they had chosen for two days before they got a first sign that they were on the right way behind the orc and that he was getting tired: He had thrown his coat of mail aside, obviously because he didn`t have the strength anymore to go on and carry it further. The next day the ones in the group who had the skill to follow the track agreed that the orc could not be more than half a day ahead.

Chrys was sent to stop him and it didn`t take two hours before she came back and reported that she had stopped the orc with a spell.

He was now "waiting" for them behind the next hill.

ic:Oh it just said that it knew about the stones and wherer one was beening kept that is all....it said that they had found one and one of their company took it up and then became invisable. They then split up to see if there were any others, but there were not any to be found but the one. They then discovered that they slimy creature tat that found the first stone had didapeared!! This got them all in a tisy and then they started to track it....It wasent hard to follow the screems of terified people that had seen orc feet without the body or head, you see the stones were ment for good purposes and when it is the hands of evil, they do not work properly, so sometimes the head was showing, then an arm and so on. Well its friends wanted thestone too so they came looking for us to see if it had come here, did you know that just about EVERY orc in this region knows about ore quest????? We are going to have a lot of troubled fun to get thte rest since we are in a war with the orcs t get them all.... Oh well back to what the orc said, when it came here to ACTUALY assk us for help it was invisable, so that is why we did not see it. Then it saw how close it's friends werre so it stayed invisable, or tried to but it becam visable and was seen by one of us so it fled! and wwhen we chased it grew afraid then when I caught it and gave it the tickling treament, it confessed all of this!

Now that I have talked your ear off, I am going to sleep!!! HAH!hehe maybe....

yes you are correct. There do seem to be good orcs and bad orcs, and hey a good orc can be a VERY useful member!

anyway, you are correct in that the BAD orcs have the stone of metals. I was getting to that, sorry it took sooooo long, I was falling asleep.....What do you think of haveing an orc join us???

The evil orcs are the ons who attacked you trying to kill all of us before the good orc could get us to help him.

She cannot see too well because the light is too bright for her. In such a twilight she cannot make out the way clearly and runs the wrong way. Into the woods...

suddenly a whole troop of gross orcs run into view towards the company.

Goldberry strings her bow, knocks an arrow, and waits to see if they will talk or fight.

hoping for battle, korhall summons his powers to him. tiny whisps of flame come from his eyes (like in the movies) and a ball of fire the size of a baseball forms in the open hand behind his back. he is willing to talk to these orcs, but ready to be the flaming warrior of doom at the slightest provication.

*Goldberry rides up to the leader of the orcs, who promptly attacks her. Goldberry grabs her sword with her free hand and kills the orc, she then sheaths her sword and uses her bow*

korhall could not be more happy, he starts flinging fire balls into the orc ranks and howling with wolfish ferocity

*IC- Goldberry shoots arrow after arrow at the orcs, but they keep coming in an endless stream of warriors...

Suddenly Goldberry stops: there is a face in this horde that seems familiar... where the h... has she seen it before?

Then motion comes into the orcs from behind. Some drop dead as if struck by lightning but no warrior can be seen around. And then the other orc starts attacking his fellow-orcs. A sort of singing is in the air and arrows appear in the backs of the next orcs that drop dead.

"Hirila," Goldberry shouts "that must be her and her bow!"

The battle starts taking a turn, no more orcs arrive, but the ones left fight grimmer than ever before. Still the mysterious archer cannot be seen.

*shocked by seeing Hirila, Goldberry is left off guard and an orc slices at her, hitting her armor, but startling her off her horse. Midnight wings defends goldberry until she gets back to her feet and draws her sword, attacking the orcs who now surround her on all sides.*

ic:geminii flings herself headlong into the battle changing into a demon lord and sumoning her most cursed possesoin the semi setinent soul sucking sword the hellblade bloodlet her battle fury increases as the unholy souls and life stuff of the orcs is feed to her through the swordshe gave an inhuman howl as the sword began to take over her movements

korhall puts his staff away and conjures a pair of flaming katanas and procedes to cut a flaiming swaith through the orc ranks. he plows on uncarring about the damage that is being inflicted on him and soon the stench of burned orc fills the air. korhall in full wolfish fury suddenly casts a spell that causes fangs to grow in his mouth and claws on his fingers. after breaking a katana over the head of an orc korhall changes his other one into a battle axe and continues fighting, bleeding from many wounds but not caring about them

A loud cry stops the frantic fighters. In wonder they look around and see nothing but dead orcs. But how their corpses look! These orcs are not dead, they are shred, torn to a thousand pieces. In fact not much is left that can be identified as orcs.

In the midst of the dead bodies a huddled figure appears. She is bent over the rest of what has obviously been an orc some time ago. She is crying. It is Hirila. In her hand she has got the stone of invisibility.

"What have you done?" she says, still crying and looking around. "Look at what you have done. This was not necessary. You are as much orcish as these here have been! You monsters!" She looks at Korhall, Gemini and Goldberry with a mixture of grief, rage and disgust.

Pointing at the orc at whose side she is kneeling she continues: "He would have helped us. You know Shorkan gave us this stone of invisibility. I met him in the woods when I was searching for you. Why didn't you take him with you? He was prepared to leave his wife and his children and help us with our quest. He didn't want to go back to his fellow-orcs. I talked to him for a long time. Then we heard the sounds of fighting and came here to help you. Goldberry has noticed me, I heard her. And I know she saw Shorkan, too."

Hirila stops. The last words she had been shouting out loud. But now the grief is too much. She starts crying again. "You monsters!"

Then having comnposed herself and looking straight at the others: "I will leave the group if you don't promise to stay normal, not to freak out again in a fight, not to do such... such... atrocities again."

[korhall]

seeing the true nature of those he had slain korhall is deeply greived. had he known he would not have attacked. he promisses not to let his bloodwrath get the better of him unless e know that who he is fighting is the enemy and there is no other alternative. he then passes out from blood loss from many wounds and an arrow in his left shoulder.

Goldberry, who was lying down near where her horse is standing, slowly sits. "They attacked me...i waited to see if they would help us, but they attacked..." Goldberry starts crying, tries to stand, and falls back in pain from a wound she got when she fell from her horse. her face and hands are covered in blood, her own and orc.

comming around for a few moments korhall has to agree that they were attacked first

korhall then passes out again *wump*

With tears still flowing Hirila gets up.

"I know they attacked you first. That's why Shorkan and me came to help you."

She then takes her bag from her side and starts treating her own heavy wound at her leg, caused by orc swords and Korhall's fire balls. Loking at Korhall she sees that he is without consciousness. God, then he won't feel her pull the arrows out of his shoulder. His other wounds are not so big, but they are many and it takes some minutes before she has washed them all and bandaged them.

Goldberry meanwhile has got up without using her elbow, that obviously is dislocated. She, too, has many little wounds but so many as Korhall. She bites on a piece of wood as Hirila sets her arm straight again.
The odour of athelas is in the air, it was in the water Hirila used for washing the wounds.

"You will be well soon enough, you two. I am quite a good healer though I don't know much of magic.

Yet I wonder where the others of the party are. I hope they were not overwhelmed by the orcs and kidnapped."

korhall wakes up with the feeling of a dragon stomping on his head.
" oi, my head" "what happened? the last i remember i was in a fight with a mob of orcs"

pheonix, now back in human form comes over, puts korhall's head on her lap and explaines what happened.

korhall, after hearing what occured is deeply troubled and vows to make sure his targets are enemies before he flames them to a crisp. he also appoligises to hirila for hitting her with a fire ball or with his ax

geminii who is disgusted with herself for going overboard again apologizes to hilira and trys to explain and gets lost with no words to describe violent shapeshifter instincts

geminii collapses with exauston.( bloodlet having returned to limbo) hoping in vain that she will lose concessness so that she doesnt have to think about the monster that she should have let her father kill, the monster that she was. disgusted with her self for being so brash and weak. she looked around ,still dazed, at all the pain that she had caused, all the carnage. she began to cry, silently sobbing, angry at what she had done and at what it would lead them to

trys in vain to regain composure and get to feet without sucsess several times. blood loss making her dizzy and weak

korhall wakes up,sees his love sobbing, goes over, drops to his knees to be on an even level with pheonix, and hugs pheonix close and trying to calm her down. giving her a shoulder to cry on. he tries to convince her that she is no monster. she is the woman that he is madly in love with and he doesn't care what she is, he will always love her. from now untill the end of time. "shhhhhh come now my love, calm down, both of us feel bad about this but we must learn from this so as not to let this attrocity to have been in vain. there has been a great injustice done this day but it will only b made worse if we tarnish the memory of those lost here if we did not learn from these trajic events."
looks her square in the eye and tells her that no matter what she is, he will always love her. and that if her father had killed her all of the angels of heaven would have wept and moaned with greif because the most beautiful among them had died.
now let's think no more of the sad and evil moments of the past, let us think instead of the now and of the great happyness to come for both of us.

"Perhaps we should rest here for one or two days at least. I think we need to recover strength. Don't deny it, we all do.
And we should clean this mess up and bury Shorkan. He has fought bravely and has deserved a warrior-like grave."

*Goldberry's elbow is tender, but she can use it now, so she walks over to her mare and comforts her.* "Hirila, i am sorry about Shorkan, i didnt recognize him in time to warn the others. I was too shocked by seeing you to think that there may have been others in the crowd" *goldberry looks down, ashamed and tired*

IC: korhall rises solemly to his feet and says "i think that we should all bow our heads for the litany of passage" softly chants "in memory of all those who fell here in these bloody hours. they will be remembered both by their actions and by our scars. may neither mark fade from our hearts, that their memories should be carried with us for the rest of our days."

OOC :this is what i call "the old family tribute to the fallen", it has another name but i don't know it off the top of my head. it was said for friend or foe, who fought and died with honor.( back in the 17-1800s, when honor was more widely recognised and much more important than it is now, we had a history of dueling, kinda a feude thing, with this other family, the herrings. but both sides would say this over the fallen no matter who won the duel. i don't know why i'm telling you guys this but it just seems right.)

"Wait! It's no use strating this new hunt now. It's already getting dark. First soon we won't see any sign of the orcs and second we will be a fair mark for another attack if we don't stay at least this one night. Please, we will need our strength later."

"I don't know from where I got this. I just know that there is danger in front of us. But even you could tell that it is not wise to wander in these lands while it is dark. So call it plain common sense."
