Mithril Hanger Awards announced!

[Elbereth]

It is ten minutes till the announcement of the Mithril Hanger Awards at the RP Oscar After Party. The crowd is buzzing with excitement and anticipation...eagerly awaiting the the final results of who will have the honor of being best dressed.

Elbereth is standing outside of the greenroom, ready to knock on the door once everything onstage is ready. The celebrities have been reviewing the wardrobe of every guest...debating who should win the highly covetted award. It is almost time for the stage manager to cue Elbereth, when she is then paged by Valar.

"Elbereth, we're going to have to delay the announcement."

"What! What do you mean we have to delay...Why! What is going on?!?"
Elbereth yells.

"We have a situation red. Orcs have breeched security and have set fire to most of the set. We managed to secure the Orcs and distiguish the fire...but the set is destroyed." Valar reported

"Just great! Alright...I'll think of something...in the meantime...get your men on ready ...we may have to move this awards ceremony outside."

Then without delay...she instructs her stage crew to begin assembly on an outdoor stage...then peaks her head into the green room...explains the situation to the celebs...and then heads to the burnt stage to make the announcent.

[Elbereth]

Coming out from behind the ruby stage curtain...Elbereth takes a deep breath before she faces the eager crowd.

As she appears...the crowd begins to cheer. It takes several momments before Elbereth can calm them all.

"Ladies and Gentlemen...I am sorry to say that due to Technical Difficulties beyond our control, the Mithril Hanger Awards are to be moved to the outdoor stage that is being constructed outside...I appologize for the delay and the great inconvenience that this may cause. So if you will all please make your way outside ....Security will lead you to our newly constructed stage. Thank you all for your understanding and patience.

[Elbereth]

As the crowd makes their way toward the exits of the Oscar party...Elbereth races backstage to the Green room...giving orders on her walkie talkie as she goes.

Then entering the green room...she gathers the celebrities...ensure that the results are ready...and leads them through the backdoor to the outdoor stage that has miraculously been constructed in a matter of minutes.

"Great work guys!" Elbereth says as she greets the stage crew.

She then runs up on stage and takes the portable mike in hand.

Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen for your cooperation! I am please to announce that the Mithril Hanger Awards have been decided! But before they are announced let me introduce the celebrities one more time!

LET'S PUT OUR HANDS TOGETHER ONE MORE TIME FOR ...ELIJAH WOOD! ... ORLANDO BLOOM! SEAN ASTIN!... AND LIV TYLER!...

*The crowd cheers loudly as each one enters the stage*

[Elbereth]

***Liv Tyler takes center stage***

"Tonight we will announce the first three Mithril Hanger Awards in Middle Earth history...The beginning of a tradition for all RP Oscars Parties to come. As the first winners of this award you will be the role models of all that is unique and beautiful in this land. And set the standard for future winners to come. So Good Luck to everyone! And without further to do, I would like to welcome Elijah Wood and Sean Astin who will announce the winners."

[Elbereth]

*Elijah and Sean take center stage*

Sean: Thank you Liv. This season, the Mithril Hanger Awards have been broken up into three awards...one for the best dressed male, one for the best dressed female, and one for overall originality and style.

Elijah: It was a very difficult task for us to decide who to pick, since you all have such wonderful and unique looks. You are all winners...but alas..the time has come to announce the winners. Orlando...the envelope please.

*Orlando walks over and hands Elijah and Sean the golden sealed envelopes*

[Elbereth]

*drum rolls in the background*

Sean: And the winner for best dressed male is

RAVEN!

Elijah: Best Dressed Female is

GooFoo Fighter!

Sean & Elijah: And the winner for overall Originality & Style is :

ELGEE!!!!

*Each of the winners comes up on stage and accepts the Mithril Award from Orlando*

Elgee faints, but is very happy...

[Kit Baggins]

Kit tries to bring Elgee round by pouring water over her.

Elgee finds this more than a little annoying, in a wet sort of way, but wakes up and gives her speech. Unfortunately she is persued by a very familiar set of trumpet players.
"Dearest friends, I am so happy to be origenal and stylish, which I am not really, but you guys make me look that way... Oops... that came out wrong..." Trumpets sound. "Um... what I mean is around good friends who are such good people anyone looks good, because it sort of rubs off... if you know what I mean..." Trumpets sound. Elgee clears her throat loudly. "Could you please stop that?" Trumpets sound. Elgee grabs her clarinet, bangs the trumpets into dumbness, and procedes with her little talk.
"I would especially like to thank Goldie, for her anklet, Tar, for taking my Tango dress, Mormegil and Truor for being such nice guys, and my cats for being there for me."

[Aredhel]

She claps, then gasps,"ORLANDO!!!!! Keeps herself from runnning onto the stage.

[Goldberry344]

"YAY ELGEE!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!! i wonder what the other catagories are....hold on a sec...." *Goldberry runs out to her horse, rummages around in the saddle packs, and pulls out 3 boxes...*

*hands Elgee the first box with a silver tiara in it.* yay to you!

*hands GooFooFighter the second box with a perdy necklace in int* yay to you!

*hands last box with a tie in it to raven* yay to you

yay. yay. yay. this is happy. more partying....now...:)

[HLGStrider]

Elgee thanks Goldie oh so much. It'll go well with my anklet...

*Goofoo is so suprised to actually win that she almost forgets her small speech*
*as she goes to start, a quiet "oh my god" is heard from her*
"I never was good with speeches, but here's my best shot:
I never suspected that I would win the award, and I almost feel unworthy, but *sniffs* Thank you!
I want to congratulate my brother Raven and my good friend Elgee on winning their awards and thank everyone for simply coming. And even though everyone didn't win; they still all looked very nice, and if I can I would like to invite them out onto the stage..." *looks to Elbereth to see if she'll let them*

[EverEve]

Eve claps loudly as Elgee gives her speech, but is still busy staring at Elijah. GooFoo walks on and begins her speech. Her mouth drops opens, and she slowly walks to the stage in a trance. Goldberry grabs her arm "Eve what the hell are you doing? GooFoo's trying to finish her speech!" *blushes uncontrollably, she mutters something that sounds like 'my bad'*

[Elbereth]

*Nods an approval to Goo Foo to bring up the people on stage...and then motions to Valar...suddenly large security guards dressed in black come up on stage and surround the celebs, as all of Goo Foo's friends are welcomed up on stage*

[Aredhel]

She claps loudly again, then moves off to get some food.

[goofoofighter]

*Raven steps through all the people who were backstage and just entered onto the outdoor stage and clears his throat before starting his speech*
"Ahem.
I would like to thank my parents for trying very hard to conceive a normal child, and my designer; Lucifer..."
((I have to wait until I can talk to my bro next to figure out what else he wanted to say))

Elgee prepares to combat the trumpeters in case they bother anyone...

Eve continues to stare at Elijah.

*goldberry walks up behind Eve and blindfolds her* "minemineminemine! lay off!" ;)

*turns around and accidently whacks Goldie blindly in the face* "Never do that again!"

[Elbereth]

With all of the speeches over...Elbereth thanks everyone and instructs everyone to return to the party inside...and then exits the stage with the celebs.

She then gets on her walkie talkie and orders the stage crew to deconstruct the makeshift outdoor stage.
