I have started reading the Book of Lost Tales and I've found that it is full with old names for the places we read about in the Sil and the Lord of the Rings, and the first thing I wanted to know is if I'm right in guessing by the description of Kor that it is in fact: Aman. Am I right?

I think Kor is the old name for Tirion, it's called at one point Kortirion... and pretty much kept the same characteristics through the whole genesis of Tolkien's writings... hope that helps.

I thought you were talking about the nomads en-kor.

Thanks for your help, people :)
I think I've found the answear to my own question. From the description of Kor and Kortirion in the Book of Lost Tales, I understand that Kor is in fact Tirion, the Elven city upon Tuna in Eldamar, Aman. So you're right in this, Turgon. But Kortirion is another different city. It is the Elven city that the Gnomes (Noldor) built upon a hill in Tol-Eressea in remembrance of their old city of Kor (Tirion).

And Tol Eressea is the 'fairy realm'. That's a joke.
