Very happy about Miranda Otto being cast as Eowyn, she'll be excellent. Can't wait to see her in ROTK.

Otto is a pretty highly respected actor here in Australia and has played some interesting and off-beat characters in her time (she was cast in "Being John Malkovich" but lost the role when Cameron Diaz decided she wanted it. Hollywood is just vicious eh? Her father Barry Otto is also really big in the Oz film industry.

If you want to see a really great film of Otto's, see "In the Winter Dark" based on Tim Winton's novel. It's a really sinister film and she's incredible (although looks nothing like Eowyn!)

I think Arwen is prettier, but Eowyn is a much more interesting character in the books. At least she actually tries 2 do something 4 her people & Gondor. She killed the Lord of the Nazgul & managed 2 do a lot more than many of the guys fighting in the battle. Where exactly was Arwen this whole time?

Im not just saying this becuase i liked Arwen, but Eowyn is not that pretty, she's ok looking, can look nice in some shots and a bit granny looking in others.Compared to Arwen she loses....Liv Tyler is stunning.But i still like Eowyn, she's cool.
