Beorn

Beorn lay in his deathbed, and awaited the arrival of the Queen, Chippy. She was away, to the north, in Arnor, visiting the good Emperor Ciryaher, and the Empress Kementari. He had dispatched an eagle, of Thorondor’s kin, to find her and bring her to him.
The worries of being a king had slowly ebbed away the sprightly personality of Beorn. Now he was old, his hair was gray, and it hurt him to become a bear, or anything else for that matter.
She had at last come, and now he could be comforted by her, and by her arm breath. She knew the moment that she saw the eagle that he was dying, and that he would not last long. There was no hope, for this ailment that lay upon him was not of a curable sort. It was called the Gift of Men, but now it felt like the Curse of Men. His body ached with each movement; each breath was a struggle to hold on. He had lain like this for a day before he had decided to send for Chippy.
He spoke with Chippy for a while, and she said that she would relinquish the throne, should he die. They spoke of many things, and they spoke long.
They knew that he would not make it through these wearisome times, so they began at revising & rewriting his Last Will and Testament.
I, King Beorn of the fair realm of Gondor, declare this to be my Last Will and Testament. I do not wish that the time should come for this to be issued, but I know that it has, whether I would it, or would it not.
Alas, for I am in an ill place to be selecting my heir. I will say this: He will be newly wed. He owes fealty to two people, myself and another. However, upon his receipt of the land of Gondor, he shall remove himself from loyalty to others. He shall be the one known as Valar, of Rohan and Gondor. His queen will be Elbereth.
All the governors of Gondor shall remain the same unless you have good reason to discharge them, or they willingly give up their position. No one shall be granted positions due to friendships, but rather due to ability to maintain the areas that they govern.
Gondor will remain allied with Arnor. She may ally with whomever her rulers like, so long as they are good of heart and spirit. She will avoid the death of any unless required by her own laws, or in the front of battle.
Valar shall become the King of Gondor, and Elbereth the Queen of Gondor. They shall remain so until their deaths or until they are ousted by an evil opposition. They shall do as much good as possible, and spread good wherever and to whomever they can.
The king slept for long after the completion of his short will. He awoke for dinner, then went to sleep again.
And that night, the king lay in his bed, although how he slept none knew because of his long rest that day. They would not know ‘till the morn, for it would bring ill news.
The King Beorn has passed into the world after life, and there he shall remain. He slept with a smile on his face, and hoped that all would be happy that he was in a better place now.
