The two greatest Elven Nations left in the final days of Middle Earth, Dor-Taur-Sir and Lothlorien, have joined together in a joyous alliance. This place will be where the official buisness of D-T-S and Lorien is handled. Here are our halls!
--------------------------------------
First official buisness of Dor-Taur-Sir.
The current capitol of Dor-Taur-Sir, the palace of the Elven Lords, has been found geographically unsuitable for it's job. Therefor, The land of Dor-Taur-Sir will be constructing a new capitol, in a location that is easier for trade and for travel. The old palace will be used as a base for the elven armies and a home for the King and Queen of Lothlorien.
The governors of Dor-Taur-Sir are as follows.
Taur-Elhed- Tarien
Rhunorod- **
Taurhar- Mrs. Baggins
Taurorod- **
Positions with a ** next to them are open, and canidates for them are welcome :)
Trade exists between Dor-Taur-Sir and the following nations.
Rohan
Annatore
Mornclaur Fed.
Lothlorien
Dor-Taur- Sir has for trade-
Solid rock and marble from the mountians
Meats and Furs from the forests
Trees/lumber
Signed- Farothel, Messenger of Elessar Telcontar II. €

Hey, I'll sign up! I don't know what the positions are, though, so please explain!
Mithrandir
05-18-2002, 09:06 AM
I would be most honored if the high and noble Elessar would permitt me to partake in this joyous alliance. However I may be of assistance Lord Elessar.
~Mithers
I would have a place, if there's still any spare. What exactly do these governors need to do?
¤-Elessar-¤
05-18-2002, 04:12 PM
Governors do many things, They participate in every day government activities, they are given war status of General durring wars, they speak for their peoples, and they serve as diplomatic representatives to other countries.
Mithrandir, you are most welcome here any time, I am glad to see that you have came.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-18-2002, 04:23 PM
Also, I have brought the body of the lord Beorn with us. He shall have a mound and a great monument set beside it, in the land of his fathers and kinsmen.
Tarien
05-19-2002, 05:27 PM
When's the funeral? Or has it already happened? Sorry, I'm having a weird day and I'm not making a bit of sense.
O.K. now. Sane again. Anyway,
cool! I'll continue my previous request to be a governor of Dor-Taur-Sir, and if I get the job, I'll do my best!
Hee hee.
Still hyper.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-19-2002, 08:29 PM
alright, I have positions for governor over the elves of the north (Taur-Elhed), governor of the Beornings (Rhunorod), and the center section of Mirkwood, which contains the Mountains and the tower of Everlasting Light (Taurorod).
Tarien
05-21-2002, 02:33 AM
Sorry for any irritation caused! I'm much calmer now.
Sigh.
If I may, I would like governorship of Taur-Elhed.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-21-2002, 09:07 PM
Excellent! you are now a governor and a General of Dor-Taur-Sir.
Elessar- If you do not mind, Lothorien is in need of Governers. Maybe if there are to many requests for positions you would like too send some ocer to me. I already have the land of the north( haven't heard anynames, the governers will get to decide that.) decided. Beleg Strongbow and Anira Strongbow will govern there.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-22-2002, 03:40 AM
If you devide the land up I shall assist you in naming the provinces, if you wish. I don't suggest you make too many of them, many governors lead to bickering and strife. Also, could you consider getting some population charts worked out for Lothlorien?

*If this is the right place.
I would like to say that Rohan has pledged allegiance to Lothlorien and await the reply
¤-Elessar-¤
05-22-2002, 05:30 PM
Yes, Eomer, this is the right place. It may take the lady of Lothlorien a while to respond, she gets on as often as she can.
Mormegil
05-22-2002, 11:01 PM
The White Mountains has also allied itself with Lothlorien, and offers the same to Dor-Taur-Sir.
May the friendship between Elves and Dwarves blossom once more.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-22-2002, 11:28 PM
And it is an Alliance most graciously accepted, Lord Mormegil! I look foreward to the prosperety to follow.
Mormegil
05-22-2002, 11:55 PM
Excellent. Then let trade begin.
My kingdom is in need of timber, and of farm goods such as vegetables and grain. In exchange I am willing to trade iron, gems, marble and silver.
Eomer Dinmention
05-23-2002, 10:50 AM
If the elvish alliance will accept
Rohan would like to trade
We have calvary and some meet too.
Though we would like alot of wood, for Fangorn is a place where no Rohirrim dare go
¤-Elessar-¤
05-23-2002, 05:25 PM
What kind of woods do you wish? Finer woods are bought from Lothlorien, where the finer trees grow. Mirkwood has strong, gnarled trees, which are better for purposes of construction. However, the exportation of wood from Mirkwood will be slowed a little, we would not want the wood to die out, and thus planting of trees has also begun in earnist.
Mormegil
05-23-2002, 07:43 PM
Indeed Elessar, I would not want to be the cause of deforestation.
I require timber for construction. I do not need much, but as you know, trees do not grow underground, or on the tops of snowcapped mountains.
Please trade with me only what you can spare without destroying your forests.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-23-2002, 11:21 PM
I am setting the deportation limit of Lumber from D-T-S. It will be 1,000 trees a year, which will be re-planted 3x. I have already appropraited trade with the Grey Mountains for 500 of the thousand. If the lords Eomer and Mormegil would please post how many each of them requires. If you do not, I will assume that each of you will take 250 trunks, which are approximately 80 feet in height and two feet in diameter.
Yes, I agree to the alliance, and I will agree to most of them, and I do believe the trade will be good. I am already currently trading with the dwarfen population...
For some fine, clean meat, i will be willing to trade some of our lumber, which is better for that of tables, and chairs and other finery.
Ok, I am trying my best. How much do you want? We do have a limited number you know.
Still trying my best. Need assistant to help me with this. AUGHHH!!
Ok, dividing up Lothorien... oh gosh, I don't even know how big it is! Pretty sad, eh... STILL NEED ASSITANT!! IF this is the right place... NEED MORE EXPERIENCED PERSONAGES TO HELP WITH LITTLE MINDED ME!!!!!!
AUGGGHHH!
Ok, this is serious. Need to calm down now.. Smile.. and act as normal as you can....
Mormegil
05-24-2002, 06:36 PM
Elessar, I would like to set up a yearly peacetime trade of 300 trunks.
Name your price.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-26-2002, 01:29 AM
Alright then, lord Mormegil, three hundred trunks a year for...
now lets see...
1 trunk weighs approximately, ahh, we'll say .5 ton.
So, 300 trunks x .5 ton/trunk = 150 tons. 150 tons of your hardest rock per year. Does that sound fair?
Mormegil
05-27-2002, 12:47 AM
Sounds fair enough to me Lord Elessar.
Let the trading commence.
*Yawns* I wonder if anyone else would like to trade??

New count of the forces of Dor-Taur-Sir
The forces have all been combined, and the numbers are based on the growth of other lands near/around/and simmilar to my own.
Elven Warriors- Horsed Elven men, they each have a long spear, and a sword.
Elven Archers- Elves that are armed with elven bows and arrows. They often are sent out in small packs, and tend to walk barefooted and light in the forests. They are nearly impossible to detect or find, and they leave no tracks.
Woodsman Rangers- People of the southern wood. They are excelent hunters, often providing food for the army, and they are very stealth in most types of environments. They usually go as bowmen or assasins, bowmen being the most prominant. They are the equivelent of elves in their marksmenship.
Beornings- No longer the use of Gondor, the Beornings are a part of the Dor-Taur-Sir nation. They often go as booted cavalry, and many retain their shapeshift abilities. They are experts with the wide-open plains and rivers. They have been strengthened by long wars with orcs, and are sturdy in the face of fear and adversity.
-- All of the peoples of Dor-Taur-Sir have profited in being absent from wars. They have not declaired war on an enimy since the first war against Sauron- The war of the last alliance. They were weak then, but have in secret grown. The elves are as strong, and numerous now as they ever were, although they are not as glorious and ambitious as the Noldor were. They are led by Elves who had surved under Thingol Greycloak, and have, in ages past, fought the might of Melkor Morgoth, and thus they fear no enimey. Their numbers are as follows.
Race/Homeland------Number of Total enlisted---Number currently serving
Elven Men----------20,000---------------------10,000
Beornings----------15,000----------------------8,000
Woodsmen-----------10,000----------------------5,000
TOTAL-------45,000---------------------23,000
*The total inlisted makes up 4/5 of the total population of able men
Also included in this post is a map that vaugly outlines the province boundries of Dor-Taur-Sir, and their capitol locations.

In the Senate, me and Mirina had struck up a trade deal, and I'd like to continue it here.
alright, then.
each trunk of our trees weighs approx. .3 tons
for each ton, i wish for 10 barrels of peaches.
*****OR*******
Each 100 trunks, i wish for 300 barrels of peaches.
Take your pick.
Aredhel
05-27-2002, 07:34 PM
I'll pick the 100 trunks for 300 barrels. I'll send it right away.
I will send the trunks. Let the trade commence!

05-29-2002, 03:18 AM
Alright, take note that the steel from the Grey Mountains has arrived, and is being put forth in daily uses to make the lives of my people easier. The wood has been shipped to the Grey and the White mountains. Rohan, would you still like some wood. I have some 200 trunks left this year.
Aredhel
05-29-2002, 04:09 PM
Okay, let's sa about a week in real time from now, the fruit will arrive at your place.
¤-Elessar-¤
05-30-2002, 05:51 PM
Ok, on to diplomatic relations.
Dor-Taur-Sir recognises the following nations and their respective leaders:
Mornclaur Federation- Lord Dengen Goroth
Empire of Arnor- Lord Ciryaher Hyarmendacil III
Gondor- King Valar
Lothlorien- The Lady Mirina
Rohan- King Eomer II
White Mountains- Lord Mormegil
Zirak Khazad- Lord Telchar
Grey Mountains- Urukgush
Ithilien- Lady Talerin (This land is also considered disputed, between the nations of Gondor and the Mornclaur Federation)
Forochel, Forodwaith, and the Northern Waists-lands disputed between Arnor and Mornclaur Fed.
The Lady Mirina?? A little confused... since when has my title been The Lady Mirina? I am honored, of course, but confused...
¤-Elessar-¤
06-26-2002, 11:29 PM
lady Mirina, would you like me to make out a population chart for Lothlorien? If you would, I will need a map, or information enough to draw my own map.
¤-Elessar-¤
07-11-2002, 10:05 PM
The Alliance is dissolved, as is the nation of Dor-Taur-Sir. The Elves are given over to themselves, and have become as did their kin in the east, and will never go to war again, save for the occasional warrior. The control of the Anduin I give to YayGollum, with Truor as it's lord. He may do with it as he wishes. I ask only that I am undisturbed in my tower, the tower of Everlasting Light. Lady Arathin may visit me from time to time, but others will not.

07-12-2002, 03:37 AM
Thus if it is ur choice. I will stand by it
I'm assuming that you will resign from Govenor and my Captain of Rohan?
¤-Elessar-¤
07-12-2002, 04:10 PM
Yes, all titles have been dropped, sorry though I am.
*and, far away in The tower of Everlasting light
Elessar dropped a burning piece of paper, before he passed out. the unburnt part read thus
The Spell of the Banishment of the dark side
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~(burn sections)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This spell, if done correctly, will gain the caster perfection in the light of Eru. He will have no ties, no thoughts, and no actions that would make him of the great darkness, and his power of goodness and wisdom would be unsurpassed amongst his kind. However, it was spoken of, in ancient Numenor, that there is a great risk to such a spell, and that it could forever make the dark side tangible, that it would roam the earth to seek destruction and chaos, creating what the Numenorians spoke of as a Tangible Doppelganger.
and on the back, completely oblivious to Elessar, were these words
There were three of them, three smalls crolls, lost within the circles of the world. Some of them were Numenorian, some were not, but they were all important... One lies on a burnt parchment, and light shines on it eternally. Another is written in the book of the victim, and therein lies the answer. And the final was spoken by a blind man, before the gates of a great building at the end of the great river...
What am I going to do with all that land? I mean, thank you. I mean, Ack! Responsiblity! I mean, well, at least the Beornings don't have to go to any wars now! I mean, Argh! I have to come to meetings here now? Ick. I mean, Yay for meetings among the smart people with too much time on their hands! Hope that's good enough.
The Alliance is Dissolved? My trade, down the big black hole?
Ms. Greenleaf, there is several postions for governers of Lothorien. If you would like a postion, I would be more than willing to give it to you. Anira will be back soon, so, Lothorien SHOULD be more organized. Anira will be working on a population chart, in the next coupla weeks. I do not have the know- how to do such things (computer wise)
Ciryaher
07-13-2002, 03:18 AM
Lord Elessar, what is the reason for your relinquishment of your titles? Might I be told, seeing as you were a Senator in Atannore?
ms Greenleaf
07-14-2002, 01:46 AM
