In an amphitheatre lit by a single glowing whie light hanging formthe center of the room, a small group of esteemed white scientists meet.

"Welcome friends I hope you found the meeting place without too much trouble. As you all know this will be a group seeking knowledge in science, healing spells, etc. as you can probaby already tell this is modeled after the Circle of Dark Sciences, and while it is not made to threaten it, it is made to counter it. Let me start the meeting by introducing those present.

I am Mithrandir the grand Wizard. Master of spells, healing, light and energy.

We are honored by the great Scientest Talierin. Master of the sciences in nature.

Aerin the master of weather and water as well is present.

Elessar the brilliant scientest, and master of spells is with us.

Eomer the genius metal forger as well is here.

And Valar the master of electricity is also invited.

Anyone else that wishes to join must come by invitation (OOC:d not post here PM me).

I thank you all very much for coming and I pray that this meeting may be productive, and full of knowledge.

The circle will concist of a library which will have books written by esteemed scholars. You may check out the books, but we ask you please return them.

Just like the circle of Dark Sciences I wil be posting the next two posts, which will be under constant change. so if no one will post till then I would be most obliged.

Hullo, Lord Mithrandir. First, I would like to say that it is an honor and a privilage to have the lord Ciryaher here with us, and I thank him for his participation.

I would like to add a book to the library, Parma Sinqui Heruharya, or, the book of the powers possesed by jewels. This book highlights the potential powers of stones, both fine and plain, and the magnitude of the powers that may be possesed within them. It, as are all of my manuscripts, is a continuing work, for not all of the powers of the many stones of our land have been found.

*sets a copy of the book on the table. He reaches over and picks up the copy of the Beauty of the Forest. It falls and lies open on a page.

Greystone- Numeonorian- sindadi. Used most often by the Numenorians to cure sickness or evil. The stone had a hole drilled to it’s centre. When it was used a special mixture of molten black and white candle’s wax was poured in, causing the stone to work.

ex. If a child were sickly, they would place one of the child’s hands on one flat side of the grey stone, and one a paw of some newborn animal (newborns were considered exceptionally healthy in Numenor). The priest would pour the white candle’s wax in, followed by the black, and would seal the hole with a stopper. A few seconds would pass, and a great blackness would envelope the room, followed by pure white light, and then grey light, which symbolized the child and the animal were both at grey health, or normality.

And, a phrase is scrawled at the bottom of the book.
There were three of them, three smalls crolls, lost within the circles of the world. Some of them were Numenorian, some were not, but they were all important... One lies on a burnt parchment, and light shines on it eternally. Another is written in the book of the victim, and therein lies the answer. And the final was spoken by a blind man, before the gates of a great building at the end of the great river...

I have decided to make public my first set of exparaments.

I am currently creating pendants to divert an extremely dangerous power of the Necromancers. The specific power being possesion of a person. I was thinking something along the lines of a small stone set in white gold. The stone would pull any necromancer trying to posses someone to it, like a magnet. Then it might like lock the mind of the Necromancer, that was trying to enter the persons, and thus was venerable. It would be trapped in the stone. If you get what I mean. I have most of it figured out, all except what I can use to pull the venerable mind in. Any suggestions? Comments?

Greetings, fellow scholars. I have been looking into the effects of harmonic resonance on organic compounds, as well as psychological reactions of sentient and non-sentient organisms to certain spectral bandwidths.

I have brought two books to go into the library. The first is by an unknown author, it was found deep in the caves of Aglarond. It's Dwarven name is a secret, but it is roughly translated into Westron as: 'Healing Hands: A Book of Dwarven Remedies'. It contains many ancient Dwarven healing techniques and medicines.
The second book is written by me and is called: 'The power and consequences of fire'.
I will currently be studying from the Dwarven remedies book. I feel that there may be some medicinal secrets that may help to eradicate some of the current diseases in Middle Earth.

excellent, lord Mormegil. Might I suggest that we all try and come up with a project, one for each member? Projects do not nessisarily have to be of magical significance. Someone could begin design on a war machine, for example. Come on, something must need doing.

I have been toiling away in the Emyn Uial working on new devices that have immediate use as weapons of war.

As I said before, I am researching the effects of sound on objects and creatures. I am now pleased to announce that my research has brought forth three new devices: an upper-range horn; a lower-range horn; and a device I call the "sonic hammer".

The horns both use the extreme ends of the "audial spectrum" to cause discomfort and confusion. The high-pitched horn is inaudible to humans and dwarves, but adversely affects the hearing-attuned races such as orcs (and unfortunately elves and hobbits). They experience the equivalent of a severe headache which can lead to bleeding inside the ear and loss of hearing.

The low-pitched horn is audible to nearly all humanoid races and causes extreme gastrointestinal discomfort which can lead to the usual results of such distubances (i.e.: diarrhea, cramping, regurgetation, etc.). In prolonged and intense exposure to this device, the result can actually be death; though the exact cause is unknown, I believe that the intense vibrations reflect through the braincase and disturb the delicate processes there.

The sonic hammer is a contraption comprised of a series of conic bells linked together with a plate at the open end. This plate is struck by a swinging ram, and sound is translated and intensified exponentially through each cone. The result is an extremely powerful blast of sound that can shatter stone, break wood, and pound bodies to death. There are tuning elements on each cone, and the frequency can be modified to work against different crystal structures of stone and masonry.

What is the basic use of energy in magic

"Very good sir Elessar. The main idea in using energy in magic is to force an amount of very strong energy that we all have within, into a very powerful attack. Energy attacks can be some of the most efficient and most deadly depending on the wilder. It takes much concentration to form and energy attack, and years of hard training, but over time it will come. When used properly, an energy attack forces more energy into the opponent than his body can handle, forces him to basicly explode. Of course if the opponent is strong, this is not always so, it may still cause damamge, but not explosion......"

I have designed a new weapon. They are not of mass destruction, as are those of Ciryaher, but are more to the likening of assasins, and may take the place of select groups of archers within my armies. They are rings made of my own blend of steel, which is light and extremely strong, it also keeps it's shape, and hardly ever needs sharpening. The rings are sharpened on the outer edges, and there are handles that cross a part of the inner circle. They have a 'boomerang' effect, which I learnt of from some peoples in extreme southern lands. If one is given the right amount of training he is able to throw it so that he knows where it will turn (due to weight balance and velocity). They are made so that with minimal effort you get maximum velocity. They, as do most things, speed up over time, until they reach such a speed that the weight balance makes them turn. Thus, at distances from one to two hundred yards they are going fast enough to take off the head of any normal sized being, and are able to pass through chain mail. At a distance of two to three hundred yards they are going fast enough to pass through a blocking sword, plate armour, and the spine of the neck also. None of my men, not even myself, has been able to throw it further than 296 yards, and it will be deemed that their velocity at 300 yards is their max.
