I don't know if this is any use... this forum doesn't seem to be used that much, but I would like to try a UT quotable quotes thread. So here goes:
'What are you called?'
Hint: I'm reading the UT right now, and I've just only finished the first two stories.

sounds like a good idea to me! I'm at school right now and don't have my book, but I'll look for the quote when I get home!

The whole quote goes:
'Of all things I have now asked the name, save you. What are you called?'
Maybe that helps?

That helps a lot!
It's you (Niniel) to Turin.
My friend is borrowing my UT, but I promise I'll post a quote tomorrow!

Try this one:
Is this then a tomb? But what great man of old lies here?

I don't think so. Maybe there are not so many posts here because few people have read the Ut, but for those who have it's fun.
BTW, I know your quote: it was the Lord of Dol Amroth to Cirion.
Here's another:
'I am no daughter of Uinen; rather is she my foe.'

Ah that is Erendis to Valandil...
How about one of my favorites:

Sador Labadal to Turin.

Sorry Camille, you were wrong (but close).

I think Camille was right; or else it is Erendis to Valandil and company.
There Valandil, Lord of Andunie and close kin of Aldarion, held a great feast; and at that feast he drank to Erendis, naming her Uineniel, Daughter of Uinen, the new Lady of the Sea. But Erendis, who sat beside the wife of Valandil, said aloud: "Call me by no such name! I am no daughter of Uinen: rather is she my foe."

Yes exactly!, that was the quote I read, but Niniel what quote were you talking about?

No, I'm sorry, you were of course exactly right. I was just absent-minded while typing that, or something. My humble apologies!

A: "Well, I am glad to have heard the full tale. If it is full. I do not really suppose that even now you are telling us all you know."
B: "Of course not"

Finally! If you just read on you get to it in the end...
That was Gimli to Gandalf.
'Use it as you may, and for a while you shall make the land of your dwelling the fairest place in Middle-Earth.'

Olórin to Galadriel.
I knew that I must do so; but I feared the pain. Nor could I go without your leave. Forgive me, and my pride that has brought you to this doom.

Isildur to Elendur his son, just before Isildur left the camp (which was attacked by Orcs) to try and salvage the One Ring.
