I was just wondering... Cuz I thought it would be interesting to know. How long had Middle-earth been in existence at the end of LOTR?

Since I have no evidence as to the amount of time that occured from the creation of Arda until the light of the Trees, I have no way to give you a definitive answer. But the amount of time from the first blossoming of the trees until the completion of the Red Book is approx 21542 solar years.

Hope this helps

From when the Valar entered ME (at it's beginning), until the light of the trees was 3500 Valian Years, which is 35000 solar years....Add on to that Rangerdave's 21542 years and you have 56542 solar years....(Morgoth's Ring ; HoME Vol X)
