Who thinks Christopher Tolkien should make another LOTR book? I don't know what would happen, but don't you think it could be good if he did? What do you think and why?

I think I'd be disappointed by anything that wasn't written by Tolkien himself.Cristopher may be his father's son,but that doesn't mean he has his father's mind and talent.
Still,I would (at least) take a brief glance at anything concerning ME!:p

well in the UT C. tolkien says that there are a lot of notes from his fathers that are still unpublished, I would love to read them, or I would like to know C Tolkien view of ME, I mean as a book not of stories but anecdotic (it is the correct word? )

Yes you are right but, still will be good to read CT view of his fathers work. But there is no evidence, fact, rumor of CT writing another book right?

CT has a LOT of unpublished (and even some unread) drafts still. There would definitely be material for more HOME.

Well, the journal Vinya Tengwar for one, comes out every two months or so, to produce new material on the subject of Quenya and Sindarin - and that's just for ME philology. Helke Fauskanger states that about 10% of Tolkien's writings on the subject of Elvish grammar are unpublished. I don't know if what is yet unpublished contains extensive narrative as opposed to just notes, but the fact is there's a lot to come out yet.

No, Middle Earth is Middle Earth because of the way Tolkien created it. Were anyone else to attempt at copying his masterpeice, not only would that work be ruined, but Tolkiens work would be tainted.

I would have to agree with Theoden on this one guys. It just wouldn't be the same.

I can't vote!

But I would have to agree and disagree with the last two posts, it definitely would not be the same if someone else were to write a book about middle-earth, but I would also like to know about Christopher Tolkien's views on Middle-earth.

And just another question, does neone know if C. Tolkien has a son, then there would be another tolkien publishing what C. Tolkien didn't get around to publishing of his father's.
