Hope you like it! I tried making a painting like this when I was a kid, but I've improved a lot since then. :O)

Here's my plug: I've been doing a fantasy comic strip on the internet for three years, but I haven't done enough to let LOTR fans know aobut it.

The name of it is Elf Life (http://www.elflife.com/) ... it's not gag a day, it's more like a novel, serialized with sequential art. That means lots of action and eye candy with the art, a lot of depth and world building in the writing. Give the whole archives a chance, and you might get addicted like all the other Elf Life readers. :O)

Don't worry Carsonfire, you have plenty of avid Tolkien fans who would very much wish to view your interpretations of Tolkiens work.

Like the sketch, though I would envisage more darker, vivid interpretations! I await your future offerings with interest.

Thanks, Ancalagon! :O)

Of course, don't forget that The Hobbit is a much brighter, happier book than LOTR. Here, I tried to reflect my childhood sense of wonder in discovering the possibility of strange new worlds.

I certainly appreciate the dark side, too. Many of my readers find that in my own work... what appears on the surface to be bright and merry, soon unwraps and reveals itself to be something unexpected. It's very satisfying as a writer to have readers report that they cry with your characters, become angry at them for their stubborness, and excited when they come through.

If anybody reads the archives, I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions!
