Ok in the movie LOTR fellowship of the ring,it is big time eye candy for the women fans!!! ( hmmmm talk about good looking guys ) I don't know if anyone has done this poll before.( if someone has sorry for that ) I want to know who do think is the best looking guy in the fellowship!! Both, in the books and in the movie BOROMIR, Faramir, the men of Gondor and the Rohirims are described and LOOK! much more handsome and attractive than Aragorn or the Hobbits or even than Legolas!
The beauty of Aragorn, as I can see it, comes from his bravery, his dedication to the great cause, his loyalty to his friends, his love for Arwen... And this beauty is smashing! And it "troubles" me so much, that I feel like a teenager again, when I think of him (Aragorn form the book!!!). I am his MOST loyal admirer and a friend of mine even calls me his heir!
Legolas is not too much described in the books and in the movie OB looks terrific! but .... a bit not too manly...?!
The hobbits - well, they are cute but far from being manly handsome..
The only men, that could possibly be rivals in this "competition" of beauty are the elves from Rivendell and Lothlorien.;)

Hmmm. This is definately a thread for the ladies. I did vote Legolas. But I think that Aragorn and Frodo and Boromir all are handsome in different ways. Lhunithiliel,you're right in a way.The elves from Lorien are really the most beautiful men in the movie especially one of them (i'm not sure bout his name,probably it was Haldor)But I don't think the same for the elves from Rivendell.Although Elrond is a famous supporting actor(he takes part in many famous movies) I don't like his face.In the beginning of the movie you may see Gil-Galad for a second(The moment which shows the three rings given to elves,there three elves-Cirdan-the old one,Galadriel,and Gil-Galad-the elf with black hair.),he is nice too.

Hey, girls (and guys), I'd say that most characters in the film actually have BLUE eyes!!! I've seen the film in cinemas several times so far, and I'm absolutely sure they have blue eyes ( Gandalf, Frodo, Arwen, Legolas, hmmmzz...and others). But Aragorn...he has grey eyes!!! And that's what thrilled me so much about Viggo!!! Because Tolkien always described his Elves as beautiful tall people with GREY eyes!!! And the Dunedain had grey eyes as well!!!!!!That's what he wrote....But the point about grey eyes is that they can often look bluish-greenish, depending on the light and surrounding...
Blue eyes, or grey eyes, doesn't matter, 'cause I think that all the characters in the film look just the way they were supposed to!!:D

Definitely the sweetest guy in the film was SAM!!! He is so sweet, in the book, and in the film!!! I really liked Sean Astin's performance! He was just perfect Sam...
When I come to think about it, all the actors stood up to thier performance...
But the thing that impressed me the most was the way Legolas moves!!!
Orlando Bloom really did a great job on that!!!! Wow! If I could ever move as half as good as he did...Well...I could move as half as good as he did...:p

I too agree that no Elf can be described as "hot"... Elves are not "hot". They are beautiful in mind, in spirit, and in body, too. They have an inner beauty, wich shines from within... I think that is actually the radiance coming out of their eyes and bodies.... I guess.
They are elegant, high, noble and wise beings...
Do elves have sexual attraction? I suppose so. But I guess only humans could diminish all their supreme characteristics, well, including those of sexual kind (or should I say erotical?) to a simple, a bit rough and superficial expression "hot".
And if we already have to mention sexuality, I'd rather say that Elves are erotically attractive, and not "sex-bombs"...
Don't get me wrong, Finduilas, I'm not lecturing you or saying that you are "primitive" in some way, I'm, just stating my opinion on the subject. I think I understand what you feel about Elves, I was making my point on the very expression of those feelings... Well, who isn't enamoured of the Elves?;) :D
I personally like Finrod Felagund... But I like many Elves not because they are attractive (in any way ;) ), but because of their personalities! And what does attract me is their inner beauty, their charisma! Yes! I'd say that Elves are very, very charismatic...
But other characters, not only Elves, are also strong, wonderful personalities, and charismatic, too, but only in a different way than Elves... I guess that's what makes Tolkien's world and his characters so enchanting.... Their wonderful difference!:)

Well if we speak who plays in the best way,no doubt this is sir Ian Mckellen (is it written correct?),then come Vigo,Elijah,Sean Bean.......Orlando is the only one who doesn't develop his character through the movie.

Okay these are the reaasons why Legolas is hotter than aragorn
Firstly in real life Viggo is ugly which really just proves how great of a n actor he is in the movie
Two Orlando is in his prime at 25 ish he is at the perfect age
thirdly aragorn has a bit of a pot
