Ok...

this RPG is a LOVE STORY. The story is between Terendul and Nuredhel. They are both elves, except Terendul has been seduced and corrupted by Melkor, now he works for Melkor as his chief mercenary.

The setting of the story is first age, before the war of wrath.

Snaga will post more details. As for the plot I will pm the members of the RPG so that they will know and not spoil it for other members of the forum.

The story takes place just at the time of the War of Wrath, at the end of the first age.

Earendil has sailed to Valinor, and asked for the aid of the Valar. For the power of Morgoth has reached its height, and the Eldar are all but driven from Beleriand. Nargothrond and Gondolin have fallen, to Morgoth. And now the realm of Doriath is at an end. For the Silmaril that Beren won from the crown of Morgoth corrupted the hearts of the dwarves, and Thingol was slain in battle with them. Dior, Thingols Heir took up the rule of Doriath, but the sons of Feanor, driven by their oath came down in war upon Doriath seeking to seize it by force.

Elwing, daughter of Dior fled from Doriath with the Silmaril. After many perils and anguished debates Earendil and Elwing took a ship to Valinor to plead for pardon for the Noldor, and mercy and succour for both Men and Elves, in the hour of darkness. The Valar take pity on Earendil, and grant his wish. He himself was set to sail through the heavens in his ship Vinyalot, with the Silmaril blazing as a star. Now the hosts of the West prepare to sail.

The host of the West will be led by Eonwe, the Herald of Manwe. With him will go two hosts of elves: the Vanyar led by Ingwe, and the Noldor led by Finarfin.

Earwen (played by Chryss) is Finarfin's wife. But she is a Telerin elf. Because long ago the sons of Feanor attacked the Teleri and stole their ships few of the Teleri will fight on the side of the Noldor. But Elwing persuades them to let their ships be used...

All is being made ready: the great fleet will sail for Middle Earth very soon.

In Beleriand few of the Eldar now remain: Maedhros and Maglor and a few followers. Cirdan, and Gil-Galad are exiled on the Isle of Balar, and for the moment safe from the forces of Morgoth. But across the Blue Mountains in Eriador dwells the Lady Galadriel, with Celeborn of Doriath. Thus Morgoth laid plans for a swift strike across the mountains to bring ruin to these remaining foes of his who still stood against him.

But his plan was percieved by the Eagles of Manwe who brought news of this peril to the gathering Hosts of the West, and to Gil-Galad the High King. There was no time for this strike to be halted by the forces of Valinor. So Nuredhel who dwelt upon Balar with Gil-Galad set forth to try to warn Galadriel. This she did in secret, for the peril of such a journey were known to all. But alas... she was captured...

alright, this is not exactly my strongest point of first-age history. Where is Sauron, is he in Tol-Siron or is he in Angband. I am fairly sure that he is supposed to dwell in the undiscovered pits until th ehost of the Valar leaves...or, no, wait. Don't they completely break Thang.... grrrr....

OK... research done.

Sauron is no longer in Tol Sirion because Luthien destroyed that stronghold. Sauron is last reported to have fled to Taur-Nu-Fuin (or Dorthonion), which is a dark forest, kinda like a First Age Mirkwood I guess. Its in the highlands north of Ered Gorgoroth, and is now wholly evil. Exactly the nature of his dwelling is not clear, but some fortress or stronghold is likely. From there, Angband is within easy reach to the north across the plains of Ard-Galen.

He is not named in the story of this war until the end, but that is not to say he was not present. He is not often to be found at the fore-front of a battle: he prefers to direct and manipulate behind the scenes I would say.

At the end of the War of Wrath, he repents (honestly or not) in front of Eonwe. Eonwe offers to take him back to Valinor for mercy and judgement, but in his shame and pride he refuses and goes into hiding.

Sides are: Elessar + Tar (+ Turgon?) + Me = evil
Chryss + Lorien + Narya = good

I think I can explain. I don't think the council would've sent Nuredhel all alone into ME, they would've backed her up with atleast some troops. And Veadarion is still in Valinor, its just some horsemen under him who Nuredhel spotted before she got shot by the arrows. Discovering that Nuredhel wasn't around the troops who were sent with her might have mounted a search for her and on the way they discovered the orcs and by chance they ran into the cave that Terendul and Nuredhel are in.

I myself was a bit confused and I would like to know whether Terendul is going to take Nuredhel with him or are Veadarion's horsemen suppose to recognize her and take her back to Valinor?

Well, I was thinking since they knew there was an assault on my group they would have sent people to look for us. Ok maybe I can edit my post and make it another elven army instead of Veadarion's. I was at a loss for characters. :D

But this is where we are supposed to part ways.

Also, we kindof need a Earendil. You know, without him the host of Valar is kindof screwed, and I would hate to have to beat you all :D.

Morgoth has a whole host of dragons, so there is room for anyone who wants to be one. But you dont appear until right at the end - ie when Morgoth unleashes them.

And who, you might ask, is playing Morgoth? Well.... there could be only one choice.... its Dengen!:D

I think there must be a role, perchance as an elf-lord of Ossiriand, who will be loyal to Earwen, and who has found Nuredhel, and rescued her. Some of this has been posted by Lorien already.

This quite an important role: you become healer and protector to Nuredhel, and must help her flee to Eriador, to her sister Galadriel.

How does that sound?:)

We are writing this sort of retrospectively, but it should still fit with Loriens post on p2.... * hopes * If not, maybe a small edit will be needed.

However, it is better to have Nolë in, to escort Nuredhel to Galadriel. Firstly because it develops that part of the story, secondly because then we get the admirable writing talents of Ciryaher in our tale.:)

alright, here is what I was thinking.

Ciryaher and friends, with the elven princess, will have to fight and flee, repetitively, from my army that will soon enough be upon them. And, Terendul must get word that she is still alive, and be pulled to come to her. He should find my werewolf about to slay her, and they should fight, with my character dying. After that, my army will fall back, scatter, or something of the sort. Unless Terendul continues to be evil, in that case he could take control of the army. Although, I don't see how he could be. oh well... any thoughts????

These bits are gonna happen for definite...

(1) Nuredhel with Nolë's (Ciryaher) aid reaches Galadriel in Eriador. Galadriel to be played by Kem! (Welcome Kem:) )

(2) Earendil has to come to Valinor, to signal the coming the army of the West... how do we do that. Eomer to play Earendil? Or just narrate it?

(3) Terendul and Nuredhel have to oppose each other in battle. So to that extent, Terendul stays on the side of evil.

Much of the rest of it i dont get !!:confused: I'm sure we'll work something out.:) Creative tension... love it!:rolleyes: :p

Narya, you just made a big jump from Ossiriand to the west of the Blue Mountains, to Galadriels dwelling to the east.

I dont think that works since Elessar (Sauron) is sending forces to chase you and Ciryaher (Nolë), so there should be something about the perilous journey eastwards.:) I think it would be a shame to miss that out.

ok, just someone give me a nod if I'm even close here. As far as I know, Ciryaher and the elven maiden are with an Elven Army, from Ossriland, correct? But, if that is true, about how many are in that army?

I believe Nolë has teamed up with a small band of elves from Ossiriand about 20 to 50 strong at a guess. It is part of a much larger informal army that holds that land. But they are not a regular army as such, and do not have formal positions which they defend. They live in the trees, and come and go as they please. This is why Morgoth is having great difficulty getting rid of them.

Thus attacking 50 might seem easy, but then far more might appear quite suddenly.

Does that give you something to go on?:)

1- Aerin- Maiar of the Sun. The sun came, and the attack faultered

2- Terendul, Sauron told Mornarmo not to attack until someone came, least expected. That will be Terendul, whenever he and Mornarmo attack.

3- Just for effect, really. It has no signifigance. A trick of dark magic, if you will, it allowed for a retreat in an unknown direction.

Hoping to keep up the standard, I have posted some more of Terendul's deeds. After that I had narrated some important events, concerning the coming of Eärendil to Valinor. I will do my best to get the history reasonably accurate in such manner.

I must credit the great professor with the dialogue in that post, and some of the description also. All taken from The Silmarillion.

Anyways, back to buisness. How are we going to do this? Mornarmo is too smart to persue them through the woods, so we need to draw Nuredhel's company back out. I was thinking a night raid, and capturing her, would draw them out, for a rescue. And, um... when will Terendul be coming down to fight Mornarmo? I was thinking it should be at the last moment, when all looks lost.

The thing here is that Nolë and Nuredhel are meant to make it across the mountains.

The idea is that they make it across to Eriador, where Galadriel looks after them for a time.

Terendul will not come for a time...

I really would want to know where the following are:

I think Tar is correct, we need a battle and we need it about now. Elessar has begun the second wave of his attack and Yay for me cause I have a chance to show Nuredhel in battle mode (AT LAST, Tar are you happy now?) Ok, Earwen has to be in Eriador, and Chrysy you are bringing a Palantir with you so you better take caution. The palantir is essential. Turgon, are you coming to Eriador too with Earwen? Veadarion should be in Eriador too, since he is part of the judicial council that will hear my case. Where are you Snag? Is Terendul anywhere nearby? If so what is he doing again? Sorry, I get a little confussed.


Ok, if there are other issues then by goodness let us discuss them.

Have you found someone to play Earendil, Snag? Or will he be a narration?

They will be greatly lessened before they reach Eriador, and the greenelves might not be enough. Chrysy I think you can do the mustering, Lorien is busy with college I'm afraid, but when he gets the chance to post I'm pretty sure he will help you with it

Hey everyone... I'm back! For a few days anyway. Why's everyone getting so stressed at each other?

Poisonous western european snake: the main one is the Adder (or Viper). Not usually lethal, but quite nasty nonetheless.

Cir... read something somewhere about the Grey-Elves of Doriath. You know that Doriath has fallen a few years ago at the time of this rp? Just checking!:)

Narya... I narrated for Earendil, because it seemed to need it. I havent got anyone lined up, although I heard tell that Morwen wanted to join the rp. I havent spoken to her about it, alas. So I don't know what sort of role she would want.

I posted a move towards battle for Terendul, because it seems to fit in quite well.

Earwen coming to Eriador now is interesting. It would have to be a fairly small army, and probably it would be against the wishes, even against the command perhaps, of Finarfin. The main host of the West comes later, and lands in Beleriand to assail Morgoth. This is the conclusion of the deliberations of the Valar. Finarfin leads the Noldorin force. If Earwen comes to Middle Earth now, it would have to be an act of rage and haste, in which she refuses to wait for the decision of the Valar for some reason. Perhaps she believes they will be unmoved by Earendil's pleas?

Ok, anyway, moving on with the storyline....

Nefaria is in Himring, (I will upload a map for everyone soon, but someone needs to help me with it, Either Cir or Snag) Terendul should be in Sarn Athrad, and will be attacking the dwarven garisson there, his aim is to enter Nogron and beyond. Mornarmo is the only one who knows Nuredhel is alive, and should be the one to tell both Terendul and Nefaria.

Morgoth is about to unleash the Valaukar so Dengen be ready.

Turgon, should also make a move for Finarfin concerning the war, you can also play Earendil, if you like.

I thought Lorien was going to post, but looks like he hasn't, therefore to keep this RPG moving I would post for him, I email Lorien anyway whenever there are developments in his character.

As for Elenillor, Dengen you will be fighting against yourself, I'm afraid, for you will have to lead the elves against Angbands' forces in the North. Well, at least in one occassion you'll have a match! :D

that's actually pretty close, Narya. It would work great for him in his wolf form, but he can appear more humanish (less hair, and more human posture). He does appear humanlike most of the time.

Thanks chyrsy (I think). Anyway I moved things up a bit because as Tar plut it, there's too much mush already, and besides the steamy scenes are too much for Cir, :D so I decided to delete them altogether.

Anyway, this will move the RPG at a faster pace. We really need Snaga right about now, I think, the battle scenes really need him.

And to answer the question of Elessar, Terendul wants to get to Eriador where the elves are, and one way to get there is go round the blue mountains which will not only take a lot of time, but will strengthen the forces at Eriador, he needed a fast entrance to Eriador so as to ambush the unsuspecting elves. However the only way through the Blue Mountains is through the dwarven colony at Nogrond, it is a cleft in the middle of Ered Luin. and there is a river flowing right through it. I think I posted a map.

You and the rest of the "bad" guys need to get through that before you reach Eriador. Unfortunately, Nole and Elenillor and Veadarion have strengthened the dwindling forces of the dwarves already.

For one thing, Tar, the bow Nole has a 100 pound draw, which means that the arrow has over 100 pounds of force. Terendul isn't going to just shrug it off.

Secondly, if I'm not mistaken, Terendul and his forces lose this battle (ask Narya). On top of that, Nuredhel isn't at this battle, because she is nearing her childbirthing.

I hope I didn't **** anyone off too horribly with that post. I was setting up the final duel between Mornarmo and Terendul. (I beleive we had already went over it, to a limited extent) As one can see, Sauron plainly intends to use Mornarmo to kill Terendul after Terendul has carried on to victory. (out of fear of Terendul turning, and fighting against those who have used him to that end) And I was thinking that we could either kill everyone in the process (shakespearian, of course) or we could end with the two who were really meant for each other together, and all could live happily ever after.

This would obviously have to happen at the Final Battle, when the west comes. (we were planning on that, right?)

Ok since people are determined to finish this story then we shall finish the story, and we begin with an edition to Tar's post.

Snaga this is why you were supposed to be in repentance and I will remind you of the STORYLINE which we devised some time ago before your second absence.

You suggested that you wanted TErendul to show nobility and a streak of repentance that would make his character a real tragedy since time and chance did not give him the opportunity to do so. Remember the gollum twist? Well, you and I agreed that we are to do the same twist to you character a while ago. And that, MY FRIEND, is what's supposed to send the dragon away.

Second, Tar I've read your post and as much as I am greatful for the effort I believe you must either edit that post or delete it completely for it does not suit the storyline. For one thing, Nuredhel does not speak that way, and second, the dragon is not as dimwitted as that. His malice goes down deeper.

When Terendul starts feeling the NEED for change, the dragon will feel threatened hence he will find allies. But he does not answer to anyone, including you, and he does not call you MY LADY. He does not recognize the power of Melkor though he is not in open war with him. He lives only for himself, that's why the training of him by Terendul made him not just fearful but defiant. He knows he cannot slay Terendul for Terendul is much more powerful than he, so he will betray him by calling upon you and telling you where we are.

But the twist was Terendul will not even be given the chance to continue with this thought because Tar arrives, then the fight begins, then Nole arrives still more bloodshed and then it is the end of the second book.

How does that not fit with the story? I mean...it had everything...since Terendul and Nef were close, but he didn't love and I said that...AND, Terendul says if I kill the child he will have no choice but to kill me, and you said blood is thicker than water....proof, I've done no wrong to this plot, and you've missaid stuff for people too...I refuse to delete my post

Also, I spent like a lot of time...also, he sees that I am emotionally unstable, It only makes sense since Nefaria is my character, and she loves him, when He says to Nef he loves Nurdhel, she is appaled...its all with what you've said...I'm not changing it

Another thing, I know how obsessed you are with the NEFARIA-TERENDUL affair, and believe me if I have had the slightest idea this would come out of it, I would not have created that character, but you see, Terendul will not think about you, it is both irrational and stupid.

For one thing, to give you a clear idea of what is supposed to be going on, Nuredhel knows she and Terendul will be exiled. She knows she cannot go back and he cannot either. She has accepted that a long time ago. And now that they have an offspring the only option that is open to them, is EXILE. So they must accept that fate. He will not suggest to run, nor would he think of You nor She of Nole. But since they cannot hide forever, soon they will be found, of course both of them will think of other possibilities, one of which is begging the Valar, or surrendering or something, many things, but none will think of other characters, because in a situation like that you don't think that way.

Ok? My suggestion is for you to wait for Terendul to actually post, because I was expecting him to post after me, but he did not, and I thought you were just going to post for Nefaria, but instead you posted for four characters and they are mostly incorrect and incoherent.

So please hold your post and your ideas until we get to that part.

Good. I didn't say they were bad posts, they are just incoherent with the story. They were good posts, and I could see the effort you gave to them. But if we are to follow many directions and the ones that have already been devised there will come a time when this whole RPG will go down the drain, and I don't want that.

Sorry... but I am really fed up now.:(:(:( I am really not happy with people posting stuff about Terenduls emotional state that includes trite changes of heart, and sudden repentances. That is such a leap, it cannot be encompassed in a sentence, and cannot be triggered by looking at a baby's face. I can post so it WOULD make sense. But it needs his tangled thoughts to be exposed. He is not going to go mushy cos a baby gurgles at him. The End. Nor am I happy with rash stupid acts. Terendul acts with logic and reason, even if he is emotional and twisted. OK... I am sorry I can't post as often as I would like... as you would like. So maybe I shouldn't complain. But if you want me to give my best to this rp, you need to let ME post for Terendul.:mad: :mad:

Also I am sick of the Tar/Narya feud. Both of you need to stop it. Narya, you really need to check out how you have been talking to Tar in this thread, because it is quite wrong regardless of whether Tar has been trying to change the plot.

You're fed up? With what? YOu haven't even been posting that much you know. Are you sure you are snaga1? I don't think I know you, because the snaga1 that I know doesn't talk to me like that. Besides weren't you the one who told me that she badgers you about this too? Weren't you the one who told me that you wanted to show that Terendul was noble? Ok maybe I overdid it, but why are you blaming that on me? Weren't you supposed to be posting that part? I posted it to keep the RPG running, plus this was what I UNDERSTOOD you wanted to happen. Secondly, you snap at me with the way I tell Tar about things, but you don't complain when SHE rants at me? I'm sorry but I don't believe that is fair.
