Has anyone seen.....

I was at a movie the other week and in those little slideshows they show before the movies starts I saw a slide that said in LOTR:FOTR, in the scene with Frodo and Sam in the cornfield (where Sam says "If I take one step further.....) that a car can be seen driving by in the background.

I looked...HARD...TWICE....I never saw anything.

Has anyone seen this car?

There is definately white smoke drifting in the background, but there is also a flash of white light in the top right hand corner of the screen as Frodo says something like "I remember what old Bilbo used to say....".
The flash of white light is very fast, It could be a car, but it is too small and too fast to confirm anything.

There is definately no clear view of a car going past the background of that scene.

sumone in another thread wuz talking about a car in the backround at that part in the movie, 2. i've never seen it, but many of them were positive it wuz a car. i'm getting the dvd august 6th(yay!!) so im gonna look, hard!

Ok first of all i've seen the car and it is a car not a chimney and not a "flash" its a car and they took it out of the DVD. sry

I have been told that in the scene where the hobbits are talking about "no second breakfast" and Aragorn tosses two apples.....

one has a sticker on it!!!!

If you look at these two grabs, one of the first frame and the other (bottom) of the last in the scene, you will see that the smoke never moves from the same position...it's almost absolutely NOT a car...no dust from the tires...

Wrong side.. it's on the other left side..
And another thing, it's a bit later than that, when the camera moves a bit to the right you can see more landscape behind Frodo and Sam, and then, you see an object moving fast, and something reflecting the sun..

Just checked, it's not on the dvd..

I have it on good authority that one of the apples had a sticker on it. You know....like on all produce from the grocery store....

Never mind, I saw the car. I assume half the people who think they saw it didn't see it, because everyone has been telling me to look for dust, when in fact it's just a glare. If you look at the picture RW made, I think you might even be able to catch it. Look just above the top left corner of the bright square highlighting the chimneys. Thats where you can catch a glare of something. It's really small and it only shows for half a second.

I just watched it yesterday in my dollar theatre (they fixed the ac otherwise I would have seen it 2 or 3 times by now) and I looked carefully and saw no car. :uB
