My friend got the DVD

yesterday some random guy at my friends mom's job gave her the DVD and wouldn't tell her where he got it from. I've watched it and nothing is wrong with it the only thing bad is that she didn't get the second disc of extra features but still she got the whole movie. Well just thought i'd tell you guys.

no there was a car it was goin down the road and it wasn't the chimeny. Although the first time i looked for the car i thought it was the chimeny.

Prove it :). I went so far as to get a bootlegged version and couldn't see it. And I pasued and did all of that. I think it was just peoples imagination.

Sadly, I think I did see 'the car.'

Does it occur in the distant shot of Frodo and Sam just after Sam says "...the farthest away from home I've ever been"? (If so, then yes, I have seen it, and no, I don't think it was a chimney.)

Not that I care... I didn't notice it until I specifically looked for it, and even then, it was so small a thing that I don't see how anyone could be truly bothered by it. I probably won't even think of it next time I watch the film.

Yes, there was a chimney in the same shot.

People need to look beyond that chimney, further into the background. :)

First and last frame of the scene...why would a car standing still like that be putting out so much smoke, and if that was the case why wouldn't the crew have run over to put the FIRE out?

Because of the MPEG damage the above picture isn't the cleanest, but it's as good as I could get it under the circumstances...there really is nothing that looks like a car there...

Well, this is really all speculation, I could have sworn I saw a car. A friend of mine said that there was supposed to be another blooper. It was when Frodo, Sam, Pippin, and Merry were ducked behind and below the tree when the Nazgûl comes down the road. You can't see the Ringwraith on the other side of the tree. Did anyone else see that or was I dreaming again?

ok about this car there are 2 times that the camera has that wide angle shot that you posted pictures up of you may have gotten the wrong one because when i saw the car it was more towards the center of the screen and i am sure that it was a car because it was moving and kicking up alot of dust from the road.
