Hi all,

Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, but has anyone got any news of what Treebeard will look like in the next installment of the LOTR?

I know earlier in the year people were anxious to get a glimpse of a picture of Treebeard, but as the CGI work on the film will take right up until a few weeks prior to its release, no such sightings have been discovered.

Anyone know of any pictures or websites on this?

There was a brief shot of an Ent in the teaser at the end of Fellowship...

Yep, holding Pippin, you didn't really have time to see him very good because it was so quick though.

I have seen a pic of Treebeard with Merry & Pippin. It looks more like a picture of the 'toys' that may be made of it though - interesting nontheless!

Here is the link: http://www.countingdown.com/movies/twotowers/multimedia/images

Its the pic on the second row, 3rd picture. Just click to enlarge it.

Wow,

Thanks very much Boromir's Lady, finally got to see a piece of Treebeard. Not much to look at mind you, but better than nothing.

Loads of other great pics there too. :)

My current av. is the Treebeard picture! Cool, huh?

I couldn't find the pic. of the Ent in the end of FotR DVD, where did you say it was???

It's not at the end of the DVD. In the theatres around the end of March a new reel of FotR was sent to theatres still showing it, and at the end of the movie there was this mindblowing 3 1/2 minute preview for TTT. This hasn't been included anywhere, though it's pretty safe to suspect (I assume) that it will be on the TTT DVD. In the preview, for just one shot, we see Treebeards eye blink. I think you can download this preview on some websites still. Check around.

Wait a minute here, one of the pics has a caption that says "Frodo and Sam captured by Rangers"

did i miss something from the two times ive read the book?

First of all, toy companies are very dumb and make up stuff to sell thier products. Secondly, I assume they are reffering to Faramir "capturing" Frodo and Sam. Hey, I also saw a toy that had Merry and Pippin vs. Ugluk. Go figure.

I personally have only seen a split second glimpse of treebeard in the Four Minutes of Footage that followed the Fellowship of the Ring film right before the credits. At least, I think that was treebeard, it could have been another ent but I doubt it. However, I read some info from a spy over at theonering.net who got a chance to see a lot more of Treebeard and that person was ... how shall I put this ... Impressed!
