The falcon flew out of the west, over the seemingly endless expanse of forest, on the eastern horizen can be seen the mighty Misty Mountains. Suddenly the falcon crests a great hill and before us is a hidden valley. The Great City of Ost-in-Edhil stands before us. All is white and silver. High are the walls and higher still are the numerous towers. As the falcon circles the city we can see the wide avenues and byways within and the great highway leading to the west without. The falcon desends to the join his master, who awaits him just outside the main easteren gates. The master we now see is Chymaera, Chief Steward and doorwarden of the Guild halls of Ost-in-Edhil, he is arrayed all in blue robes with a wide-brimed hat and on his right hand is a heavy leather gaunlet, here is where the falcon come to land.
'Greetings, Welcome to Ost-in-Edhil. I am Chymaera, and I am the Chief Steward and doorwarden of our newly completed guild halls. Our Main Halls are complete and ready for all the membership to move in. I was just about to tour the facilities, please join me.
First let me point out that we are standing outside the East Gate on the highway to Khazad-dûm. We are facing the gate and I am sure you will notice that it is very similar to Moria's West Gate bearing the emblems of Durin's hammer and anvil, and Celebrimbor's seven stars and cresent moon, and of course speak Friend and enter'
As Chymaera and his companions enter the open gates we see the two young holly trees that had just recently been planted on each side of the gate. Moving up the wide avenue houses and shops can be seen on either side of the road, all in white with many patches of green grass and gardens. The avenue opens up in the center of the city to show a square with a large fountain at its center.
'This fountain was built as a rememberance of Gondolin, that is now gone, and Tirion that awaits us in the West. To the north of the square is the Hall of the Midain, the Guild of the Jewel-smiths.
Now their place is pretty nice but compared to ours it is a hovel. Our Hall is on the southside of the square.'
From the fountain we see a white marble wall about ten feet in height and at least three hundred feet long, at the walls center is the gate to the halls. The gate is wrought of mithril. As Chymaera opens the gate inside can be seen the forecourt, lawn and flowers dominate the forecourt with several large shade trees. Following a curved path we reach the front door of the hall, up three steps and the Great Door opens with a wave of the hand.
