If you could live anywhere in the Middle Earth portrayed by Peter Jackson in The Fellowship of the Ring, where would it be. I personally think that I would either choose Rivendell or Loth Lorien. Both are so exquisitly fair and I adore the trees and the waterfalls.

The Shire seems like a nice place; rolling hills, lakes, and rivers, with some forested areas. That would be my home.

I love mountains, but only in moderation. Rivendell would be a great place to visit. In Lothlorien I would probably feel too sheltered from the sun.

I'm trying to decided wheter I'd prefer to live in Lothlorien or Rivendell. I guess it would be Rivendell because they seem friendlier.

If i have to choose from the movie setting i'd go with Rivendell, they made it look so amazing, with the light, colors and the waterfalls..

and i'm sure Moria would have been a grand place to live in it's former glory! pity the orcs had their way with it. bastards.

can you imagine it? full of light and splendour...the mighty pillars of stone, the glittering walls...ah...the great realm of Dwarrowdelf.

still, there's that problem of the Balrog.

okay, okay. It's a tough call between Rivendell and Gondor. Rivendell has the tranquility, but Gondor has that on-edge feeling. At least you would have something to fear or look forward to there. Remember, we have not yet seen the real beauty of Gondor.

I have been reading around a bit and it appears that almost nobody likes Loth Lorien. I suppose I can understand why to a certain extent. Most people think it was portrayed as too dark and gloomy. But I have always had this fascination with the idea of living in the trees. The lights, the staircases, the trees, and the sounds of water itermingling with voices of the elves - all so enchanting. I think I would love to live in Loth Lorien. Although, Rivendell had a little bit of everything. So I suppose it would be a hard toss up between the two. Still, the idea of living high up in the trees ...
