First! yes we would like you to have profilesfor the charcters, but you might take a charcter that's already in the story, so we might make it! I'll talk to confusticated about it though.
Well for the story I Bolon was attacked by a wizard as we know now. He has strange powers. I was lucky enough to escape with my life. I then went to the village of misty hollow. There I me t Ranuial(confusticated) We began to talk, an d came to my attack. Ranuial had noticed the village was very dull, and everyone was mad. We put these together and made a conspiracy. Then Ranuials friend came in Bregor is his name. He gave us some info, and asked to help take down the evil. We agreed, and we made a plan to visit a farm where the wizard is suspected to be. Bregor was seriously wounded when got to the farm. he had been attacked, and we had to fend for him. We took out like eight guys, and had to bring Bregor back to the village to get him help for his wounds.
Ugh...That took a while! if you have any questions, or if there are any holes in the explanation post. mean while I will talk to Confusticated.

We could use someone to take over the part of Dregor, he is the 16 year old son of Bregor, he's inelligent, and good with a sword. At this point in the RP, the town is about to fight against this Evil, so there are openings for anyone who wants to fight, it would be best if you do so as a man/woman from the town. If no one is willing to read the whole thing, read at least the last 2 or 3 pages.

my rp character is Goldberry. she's the grand daughter of Tom and Goldberry, her father was their son and her mother is a human. she's a ranger and rides.

if you want me to play a character that is already in the story, that would be cool, too, but if not, this is my character.

the Charator Ranuial has just left in search of (someone) to talk about the town's problems with...So next I would like to have a town person who can show up in the RP and discuss things with Ranuial, come up with a plan to defeat the evil wizard and his servants.
After that happens, all the charactors can play along.

Goldberry, go ahead and leave you post as is...Ranuial can meet with his Elf friend played by Phenix instead of you.

Phenix...You can be an Elf friend of mine (Ranuial's) who happens into town..Or if you'd like to write it as though you have been in town for awhile thats fine too. Start posting whenever you like...but you would do well to read the first 2 pages of the RP...just to see what the town is like..and so mold your entrance around it. You will be running into Ranuial on the street though, so be out and about in town at some point...either you or I can intiiate the meeting. Post your profile for your Elf here in this thread, or in RP profile thread if you plan to use your charactor for other RPs too.

Maybe I am. I didnt mean to though, and I do not want to sound uptight about this. Go ahead and don't worry about it, I stuck this in lighthearted for the simple reason that I am new to role playing and wanted allowance for me or other people to make screw ups. I'm not saying that the fire is a screw up...just that it could potentially be inconsistant but we'll figure out something. Maybe the villian is getting desperate? Or perhaps he fears us because we are elves. It was written early in the RP that he feared when he heard me singing in the woods. And that this was probably because he did not want me coming to Misty Hollow, although the reasons for that remain unknown.

Okay, I just thought I'd remind everyone that if you have plans that may be ruined by the actions of another, please post it here or PM that person about it. We are building to climax and this is where things will either fall apart and break into a mess, or come together for a great ending. Dwarf Lord said earlier that he left no trail because he did not want us to follow him, or at least not so soon. I do not know what he has in mind for Bolon, nor do I want to but Anamatar is keeping us right on his heels. If Bolon wishes that us others reach the (appearant)dwelling of this wizard a long time after he does then that needs to be addressed before it is too late to do so. At this point we are nearly to this wizard's dwelling (or suppossed dwelling) and this is our last change to bring in something to divert our attention and delay our entrance. Also, Anamatar, your charactor recently spoke of this wizard's castle...I wonder how Anamatar even knew that such a castle exists?

lol - well technically, yes. But we still have classes and assignments. The stuff I call homework is the 30 calculus or algebra problems that are due tomorrow, the report that is due next week, the paper that's due on Wed. - that sort of stuff. That's not my schedule - just an example.

your parents teach you? Thats easy. Its not like they can give you detention for forgetting it at home or turning it in late. What i call homework is (for tonight) studying for a hard honors test on the 2nd week of school, do 3 complete pages in a huge math book, do 2 pages in a huge spanish book, do 3 pages in a science book, type a page for HEALTH!!!!, and do 4 worksheets in english. All in all a 15 pound backpack to walk a mile home in the bloody 95 degree heat.

Ugh... yeah, now that would be bad. Yes, my parents do teach me - it's kind of hard to explain, but we end up getting the same amount of stuff done in less time. This year so far for me is super easy - I've just got Adv. Math to finish (we moved and didn't get it done last year) and then I'll be doing Calculus 30 problems a day, I've got a paper due every other day, reports and essays every now and then, a couple of pages of Latin each day, Bible study, English Lit., haven't got any science stuff yet but I probably will soon, and I can't think of anything more at the moment. It's not bad at all compared to what you have to do... I'd be frustrated too! The best part I think about being homeschooled is that you don't have to take near as many tests. I HATE tests!!!

i love tests! I could take tests all day. I loved taking the cmts 4th, and 6th grade. Next year i take them again. now those are easy tests. Its just on everything that you learned in the past 2 years. Its ALL multiple choice!:D :D

another great thing about homeschooling-you can never wake up too late. I get out of the nice warm bed into the nasstyy cruuueel cold morning at 6 am and get out of the house at 6 30. the sun isnt even up that early. By the time i get to school the sun isnt up!!! *shakes head AGAIN. All this forum does is make anamatar shake his head* pushing yourself to the limit is overrated. When you do half as good as you could if your smart youll get as far as when you push yourself. What ive learned from pushing yourself to the limit is that the harder you push yourself the sooner youll fall back off the cliff.

Hmmm... that's an interesting philosophy. You see, I have to push myself to the limit because that is what I've been doing the past seven years of my life. I dance if that helps any. You see, when you dance, you not only have to do the best that you possibly can, you have to push yourself harder and harder every time you do a move. The harder you push yourself, the better the results. I've just gotten so used to doing that that I've incorporated it into the rest of my life, and so now I do everything as well as I can - and I keep pushing things. I haven't fallen off the cliff yet, but I've learned how to slip and how to re-gain my foothold and keep going.

The subject of me being a female who plays a male charactor was brought up in another thread. As Anamatar knows..:D. I thought I'd bring it over here. Does it bother anyone that Ranuial is played by a woman?
I did not think twice about creating a male charactor, because I believe I hit Ranuial dead on. I also think that I did a good job of creating his profile in such a way that I can be consistant with him.
Does anyone think that the charactor Ranuial is inconsistant or off in any way? I know he is gentle, but is he too feminine? Don't be affriad to speak the truth now!..:D

No! I have absolutely no problem with Ranuial being played by you, and I think he's a great elf! Very well-done and consistant and not too feminine at all. I don't have a problem with females playing male characters, and I don't see why there should be a problem with that. After all, I play Dregor.

Not that I can recall. However, it is thought by Ranuial and Bolon that this thing is not a Balrog, though we could be wrong. We have been calling it a wizard, perhaps for lack of better word. It seems to be some evil magical creature who can change forms, from that a balrog, or that of a man even. At least, that is what we think, and I never heard of a Balrog changing into the shape of a man.
What does everyone else think?

I agree with you. I think it is a wizard with somwhat lesser powers than a Balrog would have. If it were a Balrog we'd all be dead rather quickly, I'd think.

I saw that Anamatar apeared to have killed Bolon. In the next post Bolon apeared to have been observing the tower crumble from outside? Since no one mentioned Ranuial during the second half of the battle, I took it upon myself to ad a short narrative telling of the actions taken by Ranuial during the second half of the battle, and to explain Bolon's escape.

I have started two breif stories that will soon come together.
The first is the story of the meeting of Anamatar, Dregor, Goldberry...with Bolon and Ranuial.

The second is the story of what happend with the King's men who were earlier set loose and ran wildly into the woods.

Okay we now have a mess on our hands since goldbery's replies should have been before mine last two, and dwarf lords last one. I will see if dwarf lord will delete his and repost it after hers, I will then do the same.
I think it owul be a good idea to check first before you kill off a major charactor.

Also, when a group of major charactors are in battle and you post 20 times in one day while one of the major posters in not online here....saying alittle something about them might be a good idea...even if only..."so and so looked around and saw Ranuial fire a shot an the beast"
I did the best I could to clean up the mess that was caused. As for Phenix....the reason no one knows where he is is because you guys posted like crazy while he was away and neglected to mention him. He should by all rights have been with you guys when you exited the tower. Although full truth be known, you should have waited for others OR acted for their charactor.

Well there are RP rules posted in the RP rule thread, any special rules would be specific to individual role plays. So at another RP, who knows how they run things?..This is my first role playing ever, so I don't know how things are run eslewhere.

I will have to (or you will have to) talk to phenix. Personaly I think it was wrong to ditch him, but perhaps that can be fixed my you editting your post to include him exiting the tower with you?. I think you should check with him thouhg, before anything gets further screwed up.
I think the basic thing to be learned from this is that consideration needs to be taken for other members of the RP...which is why I carried phenix along with me while he was not posting.
I realise that Role Plays get fun and we get into them and want to continue posting but other members must be kept in mind.

Phenix posted his charactor's profile in this thread back when we where started. Dregor doesn't have a full profile but info is given about him.
The rest of us have prolies in the dang profile thread...Anamatar....hehehe you'll be the death of me if this keeps up..;)


PS!!!: the fact that everyone else was refering to us Elves as "he" or "his" or "him"...might have given us away..don't ya think?:)

Well thanks also to you guys for joining. I started it and waited awhile before anyone joined. It was kind of discouraging. Then for a long time it was only Dwarf Lord and I, but as soon as he opened this thread people came running, So thanks to him for starting this thread. If ever I do another RP..I'll be sure to post a discussion thread first! :D
