Read what a this person said....

I came a across a site that listed a link to a petition to change the name of two towers because of the event on Sept.11th and this is what some person had to say.. I dont know if this person was serious but due to the stupidity that they displayed I would hope they were.

They said" Why are you people getting irate about this petition? There are a few simple facts here:
(1) The sequeal was only completed recently. Movie studios dont make movies unless they thing they're make money off them;
(2) Mr. Jackson named the sequal "The Two Towers" to capitalize on the 9/11 tragedy.
(3) All this ranting about some "JR Tolkein" has nothing to do with the movie--they are only similarly named.

I dont know if that email adress is correct some people on the pettition board were saying it was phony, but i thought you guys might want it maybe to send him a message and enlighten is DUMB***.........

LOL, that really is quite incredible.. To be ignorant of the facts is one thing, but to post your opinions on a site and proclaim them as though it was true..! Gracious me, that's what I say. I don't give a **** about the poster himself, but people who know nothing of the series and go to that forum to find out about it.. If they read that statement, thy could very well believe it to be true; I might, if I had never heard of 'some "JR Tolkein"'. :D
But WOW, what a complete freak to actually believe those things.. If it's a joke, then it's a ciompletely different story, but otherwise.. well, it's too sad to comment on. May he find the truth, and may he be embarassed when he does!

I went to the petition site, just to see exactly what they were getting at. Sadly there are a lot of this type of messages on it .
Thankfully there are also a huge number, stating the true facts of the matter, (some far to profane and abusive to relate here! although, if you're broad minded or old enough, some are pretty funny too,), or signing up as 'Gandalf' etc.
I think it is a sad state of affairs when people jump on this kind of bandwagon, with no attempt to check their facts first.
