The Next Debate; Team Selection

As you are aware, there are a few Guilds now within the forum who have expressed a keen interest in debating. As always, Ost-in-Edhil are prepared to enter a team challenge.

I will be making a formal challenge to The Guild of Tolkienology within the next week or two. However, I would like to ensure our team is well prepared and selection completed.

I have a picture already of whom I would like in this next team;

1. Tar-Elenion
2. JeffF (if available)
3. Rangerdave
4. Edhel-dûr

I would also wish to participate in this debate if any of the above are unable to represent Ost-in-Edhil.

Let me know your thoughts.

Well, since posting this thread we have managed to secure two of the four originals named. Therfore, the team will be as follows;

1. Tar-Elenion
2. Rangerdave
3. Arvedui
4. Ancalagon

We will be formally issuing a challenge to The Guild of Tolkienologists on Friday 20th, with a debate due to start on Friday 27th, I deem.

If you have any concerns or queries please let me know in advance. I would suggest that all members of the team log into either AIM (http://www.aol.co.uk/aim/) or MSM (http://messenger.msn.co.uk/Default.asp?MSID=4946899fd1f5485db51e20e0b3971088) as a useful method of communicating. If not, well that's entirely your choice, though for the record, I would use MSM daily to speak with many forum members.

Finally, due to hurricanes, holidays and all sorts of problems, the Guild of Tolkienologists are ready to field a team!

The Team Debate will begin this evening (Friday4th) at 11.00PM GMT in The Guild of Ost-in-Edhil. Confusticated has prepared a question for the debate and will be posting the thread herself:D

As for the team, I appreciate the time and effort you will give to the debate over the next 7 days. If you are restricted by other commitments, let me know but I welcome as much contribution as you can afford;)
