Although it could never be as good as Tolkien's version, I think that Peter Jackson's version of LOTR would make for an interesting reading experience.

As big a fan as I am of the movies, I'd only read the novelization out of morbid curiousity.

i agree..........i would only read them because i'd be curious as how they would be. like the reason i saw the harry potter movie i just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

It's Peter Jackson, not Peter James, and no, I wouldn't read it. But I doubt anyone will ever write it :).

I might possibly read some of it. Just browse it out of curiousity. But I actually hope that no one writes a novelization of the film. The original books are too wonderful to have a rival in a watered down version. People who liked the movie should just read Tolkien's books.

No, I don't think it can possibly add anything new. There are many omissions and changes. As a die hard fan of the book I'll read the original book. And as a die hard fan of the film, I'll see the film (or at least the script), nothing more.

No, I wouldn't read it. I almost picked the ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!! Why would you suggest such a thing option, but decided not to at the last moment. I think that if someone ever did make a book out of the movie they would be doing Tolkien a great diservice, and I would boycott them. Why would anyone seek to redo the great master's works?

I did select the AARRG choice. :) I like the cinematic presentation of PJ's vision of LotR, but feel it would portray a truly shallow and empty shell of a book.

i would never read it, it would be terrible if they re-wrote a great piece of literature into a crappy movie-book
