I wonder if anybody has facts on this, but it's a nice list nevertheless. Especially if you consider the source and look at the list of suspected nuclear powers.

Anyone read the book "The Sum of All Fears"? It's a good description of what happens when the governments of the world are suspicious of each other and no-one keeps track of nuclear weapons. I'm not sure if the film was the same thing, as I've only read the book, but it's pretty interesting on this topic.

Actually I've read the whole ' Jack Ryan series' by mr. Clancy, so my memory on tat particular story may be a little hazy.
Wasn't it the one where a group of Middle-east errorist find a Israelic nuclear bomb (lost by an airplane) in the desert and decide to detonate it in the USA?

Yup, that's the one. I don't particularly like Tom Clancy books, but his description of the hysteria and panic surrounding nuclear weapons is pretty much spot on

One of the most horrifying things I've seen on the subject of Nuclear Armageddon is the made-for-tv movie "The Day After". If you haven't seen it, get your hands on it and watch it. How many movies do you know where the producer set up telephone hotlines for people that viewed the movie to receive counseling?

Interesting. Do you have any more info on that movie? I'm trying to make a list for coming movie-marathons with my scoutgroup. This one sounds suitable.

Coutries that still expand their nuclear arsenal.
We already have four in our nuclear arsenal and the fifth one is a go.
We are probably the dumbest people on earth because we actualy are going to try if we can realistically keep those Kyoto accords. It made nuclear reactors just that little more economical as an option.

Wasn't this about nuclear weapons? By the way you only use the word arsenal for weapons. ;)
