The things is, with such cartoons, thinking is an optional extra. Its not forced on you when you dont want it. Or can't do it, in my case. I'm a stoopid orc you see. But, I surround myself with the best and the brightest. And my cartoon advisor assures me that Yogi Bear is a modern re-telling of the myth of Spartacus.

Being required to think is some kind of horrible torture, if you have to do it for yourself. Its even nastier when someone does that to you in a cartoon, when you should by all that right and proper be in a safe zone. But fortunately, I've got a TV with different channels and an off button too. Yay!:rolleyes:

I have no idea what episode it was where they woke up in the pod things, I tuned in after it started and they were saving Mokuba in this fantasy world thing and he had dressed up like a princess but some evil dudes still found him...I was really confused. But in the end Mia and Joey hug and are kinda all over each other (innocently of course, this is a kids channel) So I think after a while Mia develops a thing for Joey.
Mia is the bomb!! I watched Yuugi's battle with her today in the end of the tournament when they are in Pegasus's castle, Yuugi was totally out of it and loosing big time and Mai was freaking at him and completely cleaning the floor with his ass...it was kind of funny.
I know, I was so mad when Mai let Tea win...she should have creamed her!! Her cards are SO gay! I almost turned off the TV when she started playing with her stupid cutsie cupid things! but I decided just to stick it out, hoping that Mai would beat her...she didn't play harpis feather duster (I think thats what it's called, its the feather that dispells magic cards) cause if she did she would have won...I was ****ed.
And the fact that Tea never shuts up about friends ship, it is so annoying!! She is always babbling how because of their friendsship Yuugi will win...arrrggg...LOL, yes, I watched it today and nearly threw something at the TV when she started talking.

Legend has it five thousand years ago, ancient Egyptian Pharaoahs used to play a magical game very similar to Duel Monsters. This ancient game involved magical ceremonies, which were used to foresee the future and ultimately, decide one's destiny. They called it the Shadow Game, and the main difference back then was that the monsters were all real! With so many magical spells and ferocious creatures on the earth, it wasn't long before the game got out of hand and threatened to destroy the entire world! Fortunately, a brave Pharaoh stepped in and averted this cataclysm with the help of seven powerful magical totems.

Now, in present times, the game has been revived in the form of playing cards.

actually I can't the memory is full it doesn't have enoght space for the software...besides mi brother's computer does have it ..it's that just now he is using it.

let's start with episode one .......

Yugi and his friends are getting hooked on the hottest new game, Duel Monsters.
When a classmate, Kaiba, finds out that Yugi's grandpa owns a game shop, he comes looking for valuable cards. But Grandpa refuses to sell him the coveted and rare Blue Eyes White Dragon card, so Kaiba tries to take it using his own dubious methods.

It's a duel between Yugi and Kaiba, only the monsters are all real, thanks to Kaiba's Virtual Simulator! Can Yugi teach him to respect the heart of the cards?

ok. this was a kool ep. u start out with joey getting his butt kicked in a duel. always a good way to start off a deries in my opinion. especially since they end up spending about 50% or theor time dueling, 40% making fun of joey, and the other 10% being hungry. LOL. so combining joey and dueling gives about all of the show and is a grreat opening scene.
i didn't like that kaiba was so evil in the beginning. in their first duel i was like "kick his butt yugi!!" and then at their duel at pegasus' castle i was "OMG!!! i hope kaiba wins. he has to win. he'd better kick YUGI's butt" LOL. gosh how my opinions of ppl change. :D:D
they also start off making tea the gayest one in the first ep beacuse she's the one that comes up with the friendship symbol thing and draws on eveyone's hands. and don't u find it funny it doesn't come off. even if it was permenent marker it would have come off long before now. if we asked tea about it i'm sure she would give us some gay response about their friendship and the heart of the cards and all the stuff keeping the "magical symbol" there. now on t oepisode 2 .....


Yugi and friends take a break from honing their card playing skills to watch Weevil and Rex Raptor compete in the Duel Monsters Regional Championship.

When Yugi opens a package from Duel Monsters creator, Maximillion Pegasus, Yugi is forced to face him in the mysterious Shadow Realm, where all the monsters and magic are real. Yugi loses, and Pegasus claims Grandpa's soul as his prize!

Yugi must travel to the Duelist Kingdom and win Pegasus' tournament if he is ever to see his grandpa again!

the only thing i have to say about this is yugi could have won that duel if he didn't talk so much. b4 he played the summoned skull he said something like "time's not up yet pegasus. and u've left ur faceless mage open to a physical assult." then he plays the card. if he would have just played the card instead of yaked then he would've completed the attack in time and won his duel with pegasus. of course then the series would be over in the second ep so .....................on to ep 3:


Yugi gives up one of his own star chips so that Joey can board the boat bound for Duelist Kingdom and duel to save his sister’s eyesight, while Tea and Tristan stowaway to join their friends.
But when word spreads that Yugi was the one who defeated World Champion Kaiba, Weevil tries to cripple Yugi's deck by tossing his best cards overboard just as they reach the island!

ok not much to say a out this ep except that i would have realized that weevil had a reason for running away to that forest area long b4 he told me about it. once again, they have to make the characters act stupid just for the sake of making the cartoon more interesting. that really bugs me sometimes. oh yes, and a brilliant move by yugi on burning up the area AROUND the cocoon. i neva woulda thoughta that ...............:rolleyes:

ok this ep buggeth me to death. LOL. let's start out from the beginning. the beginning isn't too bad. joey and tristan are hungry, tea is gay, the basic whole of things. then mako shows up and the ep goes down hill from there. (A) his accent drives me nuts. and he acts like this is oh idon't kno, ME i guess. he uses big words and tries t osound smart. and he's got an octopus on his head (which joey wants to eat:D). oh brother, (B) he uses up half the ep telling us about that stupid ship and his father and everything. i don't know about the rest of u but I DON'T CARE!!!, and (C)he thinks he's all that cuz no one can see his monsters blah blah yak yak yak. i mean, gosh, if ur really that good stop hiding and play for real. sheesh!! and he needs to put a shirt on, cuz he's looks TERRIBLE w/o it. someone needs to tell him that:rolleyes: ...........ok now on to episode 7:

ok, loved this ep. one thing i noticed right off. when mokuba tied all those sheets together to get out of the tower, how the heck did he have that many sheets up there. seriously there were like 10 of them. Ok...yeah, in the episode that I saw, Kaiba had created these virtual reality pods, and his company who acted like they were still loyal to him trapped him in his own world, and Mokuba went to Yuugi and told him about it so Yuugi and the others went there to try and save Kaiba...Mai was using the simulator as well, she was testing it for Kaiba Corp. Umm...Ya, to activate cards they just hold them up and call on them...Mai uses her dark witch thing and Yuugi tells her to call it back so she says 'Dark witch return!' (I am not sure if it was actually called a dark witch but I can't remember what is was exactly so I am calling it a dark witch) I almost fell off the couch laughing cause that sounded like something off of pokemon. Ya so the pods are virtual reality simulators, they lay down in these 'pod' things and this visor goes over their eyes.
Umm...anything else?

Yeah, they make all the characters kind of mindless...especially Joey and Tea...LOL. That was funny when Joey got all flustered and freaked out cause he thought that Mai was actually psychic...that was cool...I knew I liked Mai for a reason ;)

Dubs are evil! I can't stand them, but that is the only way I can see most anime shows, unless I get lucky and are able to download a subbed version.
I saw an original japanese version of Cardcaptors and liked it a heck of a lot better!!
When I download vids and stuff I refuse to download dubbed versions! Subs are so much better! You actually get to know what they say exactly!
I think I am an otaku...or I am almost one.
I have never been able to find a Yu-Gi-Oh episode in Japanese...so I can't compare.
But in the Japanese version of CCS...Sakura's voice frightens me..o.0...it is so high pitched and squeaky. But I do prefer the japanese version ^_^ As long as it is subbed, so I know what they are saying, lol.

A true otaku would not let the fact that they don't show subs on TV stop them. See, I have downloaded, bought, borrowed, etc. the CardCaptor Sakura Japanese versions with subtitles.

Why do you not like the name Syaoran? Most anime series have characters with Japanese names. I, for one, love that name. Hearing Sakura sweetly say "Ohayou, Syaoran-kun!" makes me go "WAIII, SUPER-CUTE!!!!!!!" and want to hug my Kero-chan plushie even more.

Sorry, but Yugi's voice just hurts my ears. Really, if you love Yu-Gi-Oh! in English, you should see it in Japanese and get the uncut version.

I'm not trying to yell at you or anything. I'm just saying that I really don't like what some American companies have done to anime, because they edited it too much, and took out much of the good stuff. I understand why they had to dub, because obviously the casual viewer doesn't like reading subtitles, but they could have tried to do a better job.

So, please don't get mad at me, but I'm just trying to tell it like it is. I really do suggest you see the subtitled Japanese version of Yu-Gi-Oh!, it's much better.

One, I have downloaded, and secondly, I don't know too many people who have anime and if they do it's dubbed, and there are no places around me that sell anime. I have tried to download some episodes but all I get it no picture.

I have the subbed version of Gundam wing Endless Waltz...Duo and Heero are so...as you put it...Bishie-liscious!!!!! Another thing that stops me from broadening my anime horizons is lack of money, we don't have a lot of money so I am stuck borrowing and downloading...which usually doesn't go to well, I tried to download from WinMX last night, I found almost every Yu-Gi-Oh episode plus the movie...but it didn't work *cries* So I must try again, I also found every Gundam wing episode...but those didn't work either, didn't work meaning didn't download.

Its a cheap taky thig that some Pegasus luvin chump made up it sux beyond all reconing it goes somthing like this

U start by picking 30 dice (about) (so does ur opponent), then u get given 3 of ur dice randomly and roll them, (there are different pics on each side of the die i.e shields, swords, arrows, and other things the shields are for defending, the swords are for attacking and the arrows are for moving, there are other pics for like magic and special abilities and stuff. N e way you have like a grid infront of you and depending on what you roll you put a dice in a hole and its net spread out like this e.g.

like that and it makes a path to u'r opponents life hearts (he gets three so do you) but the path must be all connected to your other pieces (your monsters move along it to attack the points) and depending on what you roll you can summon creatures (their all from duel monsters), the more sword icons you roll the powerfuller the monster, but if you only get 1 sword you can't summon, all other icons get put into a stock pile of that perticular picture, if you get a black dice it creats a worp portle to anywhere on the map (you need 2 so you can have an exit) thats about it
