[Anamatar IV]

Heren Istarion is an rp guild that trains rpers. We have a very good rp course and many different characters to choose from. You will choose what character you wanna be, train for it, better you rping, and participate in some great rps.

Rules:
If you are a wizard in RPs you are not permitted to overuse your magic. It is up to me to decide if you are overusing your powers.


Spamming will be punished by both the mods and myself. Heren Istarion will not accept it.

There will be rules in the first post of the training threads. The way the rules for the training threads work are:
You get 3 strikes. 2 chances to get away scotch free from breaking a rule and after the 3rd breech you will start your training over from THE START (apprentice).

Punishment:
The Grand Council has the ability to punish any person or persons at any time. But first they must bring up the issue and what they would have as a punishment in the Grand Council. In the Training threads the instructors have power of punishment WITHOUT permission from the high council. They may only punish persons for actions in the training procedure and may NOT give out punishment worse than 1 DAY SUSPENSION OF HEREN ISTARION. That punishment is to be used only in SEVERE cases. The High Wizard may punish anyone for anything that he/she thinks the persons deserves.

is anyone wants a customized staff tell me. The only thing is the core needs to be of the material i told you. For instance my staff has a mithril core with a mallorn butt end and surrounded by coal. It has a gem ontop of it. Just tell what you want your staffto be. And yes phenix-if thats what you wanna call it.

Hello most noble wizards! Great to see you all looking so wonderful! And your staves... I don't know what to say! :p Great guild Anamatar and thanks for inviting me!

To start off, I'd like my staff to have overlaying it's Mithril core a sort of raised overlay that is made of Mithril also. It has diamond shapes cut out so that you could stick your finger into the hole and touch the innermost Mithril layer. The diamond indentations are about the size of the palm of a hand. Into the outer Mithril layer are engraved tongues of fire, water, roses, swords, birds, and a symbol which stands for valiance. There is a larger copy of this symbol on the top of the staff. It this possible? :D

I've got a few questions: I'm the High Gray Wizard, so does that mean that I've got a underneath me a Gray Fire Wizard, a Gray Blue Wizard, a Gray Plant Wizard etc.? And then I'm underneath Anamatar in rank, right? Am I above or below the White (Fire, Water, etc) Wizards in rank? Am I second in rank of all the Wizards?

i dont really understand that staff so i guess you can have it.

You are under me...under the other whites, above the other grays, but the other grays are all equal. After high wizards the ranks are subject only to the orders.

Galdor why would you say that? The white wizards are all equal but each will be looked for when their need arises. You will be cherised when we get to our rps.

I see the image of the fish in my mind, I calculate its height, width, and length, and see it inside an image, after calculating the contaniers width heighth, and length, I simply visulize the fish or the object inside the contanior and it goes inside it.

yes thats it exactly. EACH WHITE WIZARD CAN GO AND RECRUIT OTHER WIZARDS FOR THEIR ORDER. If someone comes up to us in our guild and asks to join then the white council (ill explain some other time) will take into consideration the user and their preferance and come to a conclusion.

okay you have a silver staff. What powers you have? Well you can make weapons appear in your hands, you can battle well infact you might be the top seed in the battle arena. Any powers that involve healing, weapons, and fighting belong to you.

we need ideas on how to move this guild farther apart from the white council. The current head of the white council has told me in a pm that she thinks our guild is very close to theirs. SO WE MUST MOVE APART!!! Also since this is a PUBLIC WIZARDS GUILD if anyone is caught overusing their powers in an rp you will be punished. The head of the white council told me that a while ago the white council was public and in the rps there was a masacre of the rule of not so much magic. WE DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN.

what have people gotten so far? I have that the white council is an rp guild ( :rolleyes: ). THey used to have 55 members but they realised (or it happened) that when mithrandir set rules about the use of magic the 55 members broke that rule. But thats something that we knew.

Here's how things are going to be to working around here. If you have any idea's to make this work better post away.

Ok, we could remove the order of High Wizards altogether and have Anamatar the only Wizard that can use all the powers of the other orders. We could then change the name of this counsel from the "White Counsel" to the "High Counsel." Instead of giving people a rank a soon as they join, I think when people join they should be given only a small amount of basic powers. They would gain rank and new powers by there performance in the rps. And instead of Anamatar assigning there color(powers) we could do things kind of like they do in the White Tower(If any of you have read the Wheel of Time series understand this better) They are given only very basic powers to start with and slowly begin to master those basic powers and move on to some of the powers from each different color. At first they will be able to dabble in the powers of each different color, but eventually they will chose what color they wish to excel in. The High Counsel(us) would be in charge of looking at each members performance in the rps and decide how many ranks to raise them and what new powers to give them.

Ok, here's how it will work. All member except the Grays and Whites will lose all of there powers and only have a few small ones like, moving things, making small balls of flame etc. The way they gain rank and power is at random points during the rps the High counsel will review the rp post of each member in the participating in the rps, and decide to give the person more power, less power, or leave them at the level their at. High counsel will also look at the post of each of the High counsel members and decide whether to demote them from the counsel or let them retain their position. Demoting will also take place if someone brakes the rules or is simply making a royal pain of them selves. Remember that some of this still needs to be worked out and voted on in the High counsel and may be subject to change. Any questions or suggestions?

an rp is a role playing game. You act as a charcter in a story that we will make up. *if/when* we get our own guild i will post a thread telling specific rp rules for Heren Istarion. Different than those in the rp manual (which you really should read if you dont know what an rp is.)

We could always have beginner RPs within the guild, and have more advanced RPers helping them out by example. Then we could select a team of RPers (who can spell) and start an RP. With enough good members, we could win an Oscar, and set an example to the newbies on how to RP.

While I am still looking into this I would request that you look more closely at your organisation and contribution. 'IF' we find a place for you, you will need to ensure that it is taken seriously by all involved. That means avoiding replies like the two above this post. It means that any form of spamming will be considered an abuse of the space provided for your Guild. It means that if Heren Istarion does not comply with the expectations of all Guilds it will be removed from the forum.

Now, all that serious stuff aside, I think you still have some work to do in planning how your Guild will operate, how it is structured and what your 'mission statement' will be. So I give you fair warning, you need to do a little more work to earn yourself a place within the forum that you can call your own;)

Galdor, remember that Anamatar is THE High Wizard. I think this Guild works as kind of a semi-democracy/dictatorship. Anamatar is the Dictator and can make any rules that he wants to. The High Counsel is the Democratic part of the Guild, but we are still under Anamatar's leadership.

Priest (spread religion, keep people content within the guild)

~There are no more orders. No more fire wizards, yada yada yada.
~There are now either 3 or 5 (depending on Mithers latest PM) wizards. No one else can be a wizard. Those 3/5 are already decided
~The White Council has merged with Heren Istarion (lots of steps involved with this. Just read the last few pages of the thread Ancs intervention to find out)
~There are now MUCH more characters to choose from.
~A character is what you will be in rps (like wizards):

Monks--Prevent anarchy and keep people happy
Paladins--Great warriors
Scholars--Smart, book wise.
Assassins--Stealthy warriors
Wizards*
Infantry men--Warriors who specialize in swords/spear
Archers--Warriors who shoot arrows
Blacksmith--Makes weapons
Healers--heals people
Diplomats--Handles business about HI with out side agencies.
Scribes--Compiles rps into book like documents, keeps culture of HI.

~Heren Istarion will be training people in a 4 step process (see the apprentice training thread--The last 3 pages) AND WE WILL BE TRAINING RPERS TO BETTER OR GREAT RPERS.
~Everyone except for the trainers and Grand Council (again read the ancs intervention last few pages for that)

I think that is why I decided to have more characters. So that there would be more variety and more items that you could choose AND be happy with for the entire time. If we do that then we will have characteristics of differnt characters leaking into one another.

well Paladins I dont think are anything like assassines, archers, and those. Paladins use all weapons and EXCELL IN THEIR USE, archers only use arrow, yada yada yada. I just dont think itd be a good way of organizing but lets see what everyone else thinks.

Vi-Id suggest assassin. They get to do stuff apart from the battle stuff, they get to be secret. and I think were gonna have too many paladins and not enough assassins when the time comes to it.


BTW---I have had the rules/punishment thread, blue flame inn, description, power arena, and announcment thread deleted. The important information IS NOW ON THE VERY FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD. PLEASE GO READ IT. So now the only 3 HI threads are this, the high council thread, and the apprentice training.

1) Pick a Minor Class.
2) Train in that class.
3) Graduate
4) Take Palading Training
5) You are a Paladin.

This means that you'd start out as an assassin, Princess Vi, and eventually graduate to the class of Paladin.

I think Galdor's idea can work. It just needs to be changed around abit.

I think we need to limit the classes down to just six. This is my suggestion on how to do it. First, we start out with the basic classes

Paladins
Assassins
Wizards
Monks
Archers
Beserkers

Then we let them select from a variety of skills. The skill they select will become part of their character; this will also provide some differences between characters.

Healing Skills
Scribe Skills
Diplomatic Skills
Blacksmith Skills

Usually skills should complement the character.

Now, you probably notice that I added a class. I think "Infantry Man" sounds tacky and unpopular, Beserker sounds much better.

I say no. Once/If we get our section and were in the whole routine of training....well after that if the current process fails then our go to plan is Elu's. But our process has to be proven defective. The final say is: No. Next topic: WC members becoming more involved in HI. Any suggestions?

Hmmm...

First of all, their called Berserkers not Beserks, and as the name obviously shows they aren't simple infantrymen. These are highly skilled warriors that prefer to go unarmored. What they lack in intellegince they make up for in strength. They specialize in axes and at times can go "Berserk". These are not knights and do not ride on horseback. In battle they are almost insane.

but then why did we replace infantry men with beserkers? If they are obviously not the same thing...whatever. Besekers no regular AVERGAE JOE WARRIORS (which I was trying to get out of infantymen: Average soldiers) and one less assasin.

Anamatar these soldiers are a type of infantry, and so are paladins. Infantrymen is to broad because it encompases a wide range of men.

Infantryman- : an infantry soldier

Infantry- : soldiers trained, armed, and equipped to fight on foot

Berserkers are trained, armed, and equipped to fight on foot so they are in fact infantry.
