Greetings to all here at tTF!

I just came over from the Barrow-Downs on the good word of a member of both.

Just wanted to let folks who might be interested know that we have a most fascinating project going on - Translations form the Elvish this massive undertaking hopes to take all of the parts of HoME and UT that either are the latest versions of JRRT and/or do not contradict the LotR and Co. and compile it into what will probably be a three volume magnum opus. Far more closely approximating JRRT's vision for the Silmarillion the the current very abbreviated one.

For an outline of the project see the 'Translations form the Elvish' link below and go to the **Intro/FAQ to the Forum/Project**.

We are currently working on the Fall of Gondolin, incorporating Tuor's coming [UT] the BoLT version of the Battle and the versions from the Silmarillion and The Shapinfg of Middle -Earth, along w/ a variety of minor sources.

Potential new project members are always welcome to come check us out.

I would also recomend anyone who truly loves the Silmarillion to have a look at the project. It's a great work that lindil has started and you will not believe the amount of detail that goes along with it.:)

P.S. Thanks lindil and the guys in the project for letting me use several part of the project in the Sil discussion.
