hey, the guy who was going to play Glorfindel hasn't posted durning the whole rp. So either someone needs to pick up his part, or we need to ditch Glorfindel somewhere and get him out of the story.

hey, since we are nearing the place were the Fellowship will break up, I have a suggestion. Instead of just rewriteing the book, and having Frodo and Sam go off and Boromir get killed, I say we do some stuff differently. Like have Anamatar and that other Elf,(I can't remember his name right now, but it's the one that starts with and "I") leave with Frodo and Sam. And if you guys want only Frodo and Sam to get to Mordor, then just have them get broken up in Ithilien, like have Anamatar and the Elf get caught by some of the Haradrim that are going to Mordor, and then have them ecape later and go back to Gondor with Faramir. Of course I not saying we should do exactly that, I'm just saying that I think we should spice things up a bit.

I think that's a great idea, Galdor! It would probably be a good idea to have people go with Frodo and Sam so that it's not only those two who post for that segment of the story.

that sounds great but I really wouldn't want to go off to Mordor. He is like Boromir as he went from Gondor on a journey and is expected to return. So I'd like him to be involved in Helm's Deep and such and such.;)

Hmm....that is a good idea, Galdor. I think it would make it a little more interesting. Though, before we make the final decision, I think that everyone that is in on the story should state their opinion. That way it will be close to a unanimous decision.

Hey everyone! I finally am back in the swing of things being home now with own comp and my own connection. Tis nice. :) Anyway I have been reading what all of you have been saying. Number one Glorfindel needs to just stay in Lothlorien as he really has had no part in the story. In fact I eliminated him out of my edited version of our story. For those of you who don't know I am taking all the stuff that has been written on the story and compiling and editing things to make it work smoothly and flow nicely. When I am done I can send anyone who wants it a copy. It is a lot of work though so it has been slow going.

Anyway, I too like the idea of things changing a bit and adding more life to the story. However, I am not sure who should go with Sam and Frodo and how that will work in with Gollum and all that stuff. I definately don't think anyone except for Gollum and Frodo and Sam should actual go to Shelob's lair and to Mt. Doom but that is just my opinion. I am also still trying to decide when and where Ariana will rejoin the story and who she will meet up with. Opinions anyone?

I agree that the whole Cirith Ungol/Shelob and everything after things should happen with just Frodo and Sam. So, perhaps like Galdor suggested, whoever is with Frodo and Sam could be left behind in Ithilien? We could manage that....

There are actually quite a few places where Arianna could rejoin the story. Helms Deep, the Ride of the Rohirrim, etc. I think that the best place would be when Elrond's sons go to Aragorn right after Helm's Deep. She could be in their company bearing Elessar's banner.

Rasec, thanks for posting in the story. I just a small complaint however. There are two inacuracies in your post. First, Ariana still has her eyes bandaged to protect them from the light and secondly Legolas is the third of her friends to come and see her as Aragorn and Iaurcalion have already come even though it was for a short time. Iaurcalion promised to visit her again and has not yet done so, but you need to change your post just a little bit.

Ok, also I wanted to let everyone know that in order to get things moving out of Lothlorien I am going to post the scene with Galadriel's mirror very soon. I think I will just use a part directly out of the book. If you want something to happen with your character before the company leaves Lothlorien have it happen after I have posted the scene with Galadriel. After that we can get things going and there can be the preparation and the departure and the giving of gifts. Also, Glorfindel is just not going to be in the story any more. I have eliminated him from the story as I have been working on compiling and editing it so we can just leave him behind in Lothlorien or not mention him again.

Currenly the position of Legolas has already been filled and it might be difficult to add new characters who are not from the books. However, we can try to if you would like. Right now there are too many characters in the Fellowship, but perhaps you could join in later. Let us know what you have in mind.

ILLOTRM will start it going by having Sam be awake in the night and then having Frodo wake up and notice it and they will go off on a walk and discuss Lothlorien and Galadriel. Then I will post Galadriel coming to them and taking them to her mirror. If the people playing Frodo and Sam want to take part in the scene and not have me just post it, then let me know. Otherwise I will just post right from the book and then get the story moving to the next morning since I am playing Ariana and Aragorn. Flame and I can discuss how we should approach Iaurcalion's role in the scene.

Well, considering that much of the time spent in Lothlorien was focused on Ariana we need to let that part of the story rest for a while. But as the company goes along there will be flashes back to Lothlorien of scenes between Ariana and Galdor. I will think about that, but for now we need to let the other members take more part in the story.

Arianna, do remember that this is not a regular rp. This is an epic project with neccessary preset characters and events that must happen. There are going to have to be long periods of time where you just need to stop the rp and get some things together. Also, seeing how this is a six book rp there are many characters. You can't expect one person to be solely responsible for them. What I am saying is, those characters that do not have someone to play them can be open for all to play.

But keep that in mind. This is not your every day rp.

Ok, here is what is going to happen. I am going to start the story back up again this next weekend. Everyone who has specific characters assigned to them will need to begin watching the story so that they can post when necessary or when they feel they want their character to take part.

There are several larger characters that do not have players yet but I think that we can all work together to post their actions and words as long as we remember how Tolkien portrayed them in the book.

A story change that I would like to make note of was the fact that Boromir of Gondor did not come to Rivendell, befriend the fellowship, try to take the ring, or die protecting Merry and Pippin. It was another lord from Gondor called Hamman. He was not the son of Denethor so technically Boromir is still alive and well some where. Whether or not we should have him take part in this story, I do not know but I am open to suggestions.

Also, I would like to thank all of you who came into this story in the very beginning and have stuck it out till now. Thanks also to those of you who have joined us more recently. We really appreciate your participation. :) See you in the new story soon.

It can't exactly be moved but it can be restarted there. All you have to do is post the discussion thread and the Rp thread again, and in the rp thread summarize what has happened recently.:)

Hey, Everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I have contacted an RP moderator concerning moving this story over to the RP forum. Until I hear back from him I am going to put a halt on the story. It shouldn't be for more than a couple of days, but if you really really really want to post something and this weekend is your only chance to do so, then ignore the halt. Otherwise, I want to wait on moving the story forward until we move the story and get a few more participants.

As soon as we move the RP to the new site, how much time are we going to allow for new members to join?... because as it stands now we have enough to continue for the time being and the rest of us can fill in for those characters who are not covered by anyone.
