Expectations for TTT

What do you guys think about TTT? Do you think it will end up being as good as FOTR? I just hope that they have the same actors. I cant stand it when there is a sequel to a movie and they have different actors.

You should know that all three movies are all filmed. Same actors and everything. I know they did some reshooting, and they still have to do graphics and the such. But all filming is pretty much done. No new actors for same characters, and yes, expect oscar caliber for ttt.

O ok. I didnt know that all the shooting was already done. That is good then. Well, what about the music? Does anybody know who is directing it or anything?

Same person who wrote FotR's music: Howard Shore. All the people who worked on FotR are working on TTT.

A good indication of how the movie is going to be I think comes from the video game based on the movie. The LOTR TTT from EA. I got it this week and the whole game is built around the movie. tons of footage and gameplay. it's dark and fun and full of action. the second story is all about the battles as is this game. Anyone looking to get insight into the movie should check it out

yeah i think it's great. for fans of the movie/books you get to feel like you're a part of it early. which for me is critical. even better though for the gamers is that it's a great game. action is really well done, graphics are beautiful. everything is first rate. which is not usually the case in these movie to game conversions. i'd give it a shot if you're thinking about it.

Yea it is, I have seen so many movies that I didn't even recognize the actor until I read the credits.

yeah I was looking at TTT pictures and I slightly recognized him, then I remembered Titanic.

Hey, you didnt miss that much. Believe me! The only good part is when they are sinking, and when the movie first starts.

I would imagine the sinking would be good, but since I've seen every Titanic documetary there is, I've probably seen a more presise example.

I'm thinking due to the battle scenes it will be better yet (or at least more exciting). I'm bummed to find out Shelob won't be in it. I wonder where they'll end this one.

It will probably have a horrible ending like FOTR did.

From wat I read.. the ending will be the war at Helm's Deep.. and the aftermath.. rather then Frodo's meeting with the Shelpb (like in the book)..

Since the events are simutaneous.. I guess it is more dramatic to end with a big battle..

I guess.. Frodo's part will end with him parting with Faramir..

Well then, it sounds like the ending might be okay then. All war movies end with the aftermath of the war. It ALWAYS makes it more dramatic.

However it ends, im sure P.J and the crew will have made sure that it ends well, leaving us all wishing the next twelve months away, waiting to see how it all ends (on screen) in " Return of the King ". I dont know about you guys but its been an eternity for me waiting for the TTT to come out on our screens. Roll on December 18th!!!

I rented TTT for ps2 and I must say it is a great game. So if the movie is as cool as the game it will be awesome.

I hope I haven't raised my expectations too high; I feel like like TTT will be the best film I've ever seen and I really can't wait to see it. But having such high hopes, I can only be disappointed.:(

Well, I heard it out of PJ's mouth, that this is going to be alot better than the first. the TTT game has interviews from all the actors and producers, its great. :D

Miranda Otto has a chance to play a very strong, heroic woman. Her performance in TTT will need to establish her as a major character who is even stronger in ROTK. (Can't wait to see her in armor like Eomir's in her Dernhelm disguise.

I should very much like to see the Ents rerouting the river Isen through Orthanc. I've often thought that one way to clean up the corruption in washington would be to reroute the Potomoc through the White House. Heracles used this trick to clean out some stables, one of his twelve labors.

Anyway, my expectations are high, I trust PJ when he says it will be better. I have played the game and all and I think it looks alot better. It has Gollum in it, which is a plus. And it is also alot of war. :rolleyes:
