[Neothen]

Neothen took out his wand and chanted a spell. The wand extended and he used it as a walking stick. He was weak from the recent events and he was a bit hungry. But he was trainded for most situations and Neothen could hold on for as long as he needed.

The tunnel was long and also the company didn't noticed they walked for almost a day, before they could reach the end of the tunnel. In the end the tunnel ended in a big saloom(but not as big as the Saloom of the Gargols) that had many entrances, and tunnels. Some of them closed by doors, some of them block by stones and some of them free to pass. Bouk started to remember now where he was. "I have a vivid memory of this place. But there is something odd, something that is not right. "Bouk looked around several times. The others sitted to rest and eat, while Bouk kept looking for that missing piece of the puzzle. Finally after two hours of long waiting Bouk founded it. The door of one of the rooms was completely covered in dust and ashes. Bouk cleaned up and then shinny runes appeared. They were a little different to the dwarve's runes, but still they were able to understand what it said: "Temple of the Gnomes". Bouk couldn't hold his excitement. Finally they had founded.
"Well, do you want to rest a little more or do you want to get in already?"asked Bouk to the company with a smile......

[*Lady Arwen*]

Dimlondowen sat down, she couldn't stand anymore. "Lets just rest here a bit, we might have to do some fighting in there" She pointed to the door " I wouldn't be able to battles orcs if I can't stand." Next to her Akidilwen also sat down, being very tired also.

[Neothen]

"Me too," Neothen said sitting down beside the two. His skin had lost a bit of its color, but that didn't seem to bother him much. Neothen took out a small vile of black liquid. He drank it all and sat back waiting for it to give him strength.

[sauronbill]

'Great sounds like a good idea, "said Bouk smiling at the time he shared his food with Beth," we'll probably need our strenght....."That night the screams of the tormented souls of the dwarves was heard again, and some of them came from inside the temple.

ooc:Sorry its been so long but school and my email was down but now its offseason an di have penty of time lol!I

IC:As she was resting when she sad"I thought these tunnels were unused?How didi all those orcs get there?"she made a face then said"I think inorder to get the maxium sleep one should watch so the others can relax better.I'll take first watch. I'm going to sit by the door so i can hear any thing coming down the tunnel."She went and sat by the door and sang softly to herself which relaxed all the others and went into a light sleep.

OOC: Hi Weathergirl!

IC: Dimlondowen, even thought she was tired, could not sleep. She didn't know what was behind the door, her curiosity was growing.

OCC: Welcome Back!!! I am so glad you made it Weather Girl.....We are almost there.

IC: For his surprise Bouk get a very good night sleep. Even with his curiosity and all, they had finally come to the Temple, and this thought warmed him in a good way. And Bouk remembered very well that somewhere inside the Temple there was a safe tunnel that conducted to the outside..... But what would they found inside, that was still hard to see, and Bouk couldn't help to feel a bad feeling.....

[*Lady Arwen*]

After all had rested and eaten they turned their atention to enter temple. "Bouk, do you know how to open this door? And what may be hidding behind it?"

"Well I can't tell you what's inside, but i sure can open it,"said Bouk with a smile. He touched the door with his staff and said a few enchanting words. A momment later the door opened with a great noise, but nothing happened. They didn't saw anything or heard anythig that was not common. With a little fear, but mostly curiosity they went inside. There was a long hallway foll of walls with runes all over them. This was the principal hall, for the temple of the gnomes had many rooms. One of them, was entirely dedicated to the gnomes treasure(which is where Bouk expected to go). The walls finished but the hall didn't. There were now a series of pedestals in both right and left. Each pedestal holded a gargol and each of the gargols holded a different weapon. There were 10 gargols in total. Five at the right and five at the left. Three had long swords, five had large doble axes, one had a maze, and the last one had a crossbow with many bolts at her side. Also the gargols were made of stone they looked very real, and their eyes seemed to greet them at the time they walked between them.
"They gnomes called them, the guardians. And that's what they were actuatally. I never could see it with my own eyes, but it was said that if some intruder got in looking to steal something(be dwarf, gnome, or any other creature), the runemaster would had the power to transform the stone into flesh. I don't want to imagine a fight with those things. The runemaster were some particular gnome asigned to the task of taking care of the temple in general. He had a special chair at the end of the hall. Right over......"Bouk interrupted his line of thougths to see something that even he couldn't believe. They all looked up. The hall ended in a large livingroom that had many different doors all around. And also had two stairs , but there in the middle of the hall where an empty chair should have been there was now a gnome sitting there with a sad look on his face, and he seemed worried. The gnome was a little smaller than a dwarf, and less built. He had a shining staff at his feet, and he was covered by a mithril coat. The gnome looked up, his eyes couldn't stop crying. However he managed to talk in a serious way, also his tears were many,
"What is your business here? How did you get in in this mountain? Are you people perhaps friend with the king?" also his voice sounded serious, there was a little sadness in it. Bouk and the company recognized the gnome inmediatly. It was the one that had caused the distruction of his own people. Bouk stood impressed and also sad, not knowing what to say......

Dimlondowen stood stunned, but she was the first to speak "We mean no harm..." The bowed a slightly to show respect towards the gnome, she tried to speak again but she didn't know what to say.

" which king do you speak of?"said Akidilwen...everyone was trying to figure out what else to say.she bowed like dimlondowen because she couldn't figure out what else to do.

[Neothen]

The gnome reminded Neothen of the imps' that lived in his land. Neothen bowed aswell, but he had an eerie feeling about the gnome.

" Who else than the great king Boulgin, the dwarf king of this precious mountain. Well, now answer are you friends with him, if not how did you manage to pass the guards? And why didn't anybody outside said you were coming?...."The gnome had spoken with a great voice and he seemed a little bit worried and curious about the coming of this strangers to his world. His eyes never stopped crying, but his voice never demonstrated sadness. Bouk faced the floor, he had understood what the gnome was going trhough. The gnome had lost his judgment, and he still beleived that every dwarf and gnome were still alive.........

"we did not come to cuase any harm to anybody...I'm sorry there wasn't anybody out side".when she said this he had a very confused look."But may i ask...Are you alright?"
the gnome stammered"..where is everyone...."he seemed to cry more.

[*Lady Arwen*]

The gnome took this as an offence "Of course I am! Guards! Come and take these fowl creatures away!" There was no answer, no one came, the king once again started to despair.

[Neothen]

"You're passing judgement too quickly. Your gaurds won't be coming. Tell us, why do you ponder here."

Several minutes passed with no reply. THe gnome was trying to figure out why no one would come to help him"If my gnome guard are not coming , then were are they?They all looked at Bouk for the responds since he seem the most leaarned in the situation.

"Listen to me,"said Bouk that until now hadn't say a word. "Everybody is gone, there is nobody here. The king has been dead for years. There was a civil war, many died. And then the evil made a masacre out of this. This place has been a tomb for years. You know that don't you?
"Yes....."The gnome seemed absort in his thougths, and this time he really cried. His voice and his expression had changed completely. His eyes never left the floor. "I killed them.....They died because of me.....I managed to survive all these years......This is my punishment. To guard what's left of them. To guard their resting souls.......It'll never be enough of course, but it's a thing i have to do.....To live in this jail forever, until death come for me....."
"Don't be so hard on yourself ", said Bouk. He felt compassion for this miserable creature."You tried to make everything better, but.....Things happen, and you move on. How did you manage to survive all these years?"
"What? What did you say?"asked the gnome. He looked up. His eyes were still crying, but his voice had returned. THe gnome seemed to use his madness to protect himself from the memories. "You are just thieves, and you didn't even answer to my questions. Yu deserve to die for your lack of respect......I see now, you have come to steal our treasure. THe guards may be sleep, but i'll take care of you just the same." The gnome picked up his staff, and started making an enchantment. Bouk realized what he was doing.
" He is trying to wake up the guardians,"said bouk at the time he tried to stop him. But the gnome's staff gave a bright glow that made Bouk fall before he reached him. Then the gnome dissapeared. All of them looked back. The gargols that were on the pedestals were alive now, and they're bodies of rock, passed to be flesh. All of the gargols jumped toward the company with their weapons in hand, except the one with the crossbow. This gargol remained in the pedestal. She prepared her crossbow with a bolt and pointed toward Dimlondewen, and shoot. Bouk took out his sword, and his staff gave a green blow. "Defend yourselves. Cut their heads off, its the only way to kill them, but careful because they breathe fire from their mouths. Neothen they are inmune to everything, but they don't like lighting. Try to use it against them. "Bouk stopped two gargols from hitting him at the time the rest attacked the company.....

[Neothen]

"My specialty." Neothen said while cupping his hands together and forming a ball of pullsing electricity. Neothen's favorite magic was one of the most dangerous elements, but that is what you expect from a wizard who likes danger. Neothen unleashed his magic onto one of the gargoles. It hit the creature and sent it flying across the room. The gargole was convulting from the electricity and it wouldn't be long until it died.

[*Lady Arwen*]

Dimlondowen avoided the arrow that was shot towards her "Neothen, Bouk said the only way to kill them is to cut of their heads. Your magic won't kill them. " The gargoyle that had been hit by Neothen's magic, laid stuned on the ground. Dimlondowen went over and cut it's head, it sudenly turned back to stone.

[Neothen]

"I have gargoles in the castle and they don't have an immunity to electrical magic. If they get a big enough charge then they will break their own neck with convultions." Neothen unsheaths Malvor and cut off a gargoles head. "When they can't feel their body then they turn back to stone."

[sauronbill]

"Exactly!!,"exclaimed Bouk at the time he was defending himself from two gargols. The two gargols were armed with double axes, and they were excellent fighters. But Bouk was something else. He blocked every hit that they threw, and in the precise momment with a single hit, he cut off one of the gargols heads. "Ha!! Not bad for an old man"said Bouk. All the gargols that the company killed were transformed into stone, and they appeared in their pedestals, like they had always been. That was another trick of the guardians. For those who knew the second exit of the temple(like Bouk) there was no problem. But for those who didn't they would have to come back to the entrance in order to get out, and they would have to face the guardians one more time. And the second time the guardians would know all your secrets, from the first fight.

Another gargol jumped in front of Bouk and she started fighting too. But this time the gargols made a different strategy. Three gargols had died, but still seven remained. Also Neothen was right about his powers, he had never face the gargols build by gnomes. These gargols are indeed affected by electricity, but in order to give the right shock to kill them, he would have to drain so much energy that it would leave him very weak. The gargols tried to have two of them for every member of the company(except Beth), except the one with the crossbow. She never moved except to prepare her bolts. She charged her crossbow again and this time she shoot Alkidilwen that was fighting two gargols. The two guardians that bouk was fighting expected the exact momment to do their plan. When they had the chance they gave took a large breath and they breathe out large red flames that went toward Bouk. Also bouk had a good resistance to fire, he covered himself with his magic cloak, but he received a bad burn in his left arm. He continued fighting at the time the other gargols threw fire to the rest of the members of the company...........

Alkidilwen sensing danger docked just in time for it to miss her and hit the gargoyle she was fight which stunned enought for her to cut his head off. "Neothen do you have to power of cold ?"if so see if it will affect their breath!?"She yelled just as he cut another head off"Dimlondewen we have to try to cut the head off the head gargoyle!"

[Neothen]

Neothen was getting weaker, but he could use some ice magic. Thoe it wouldn't kill the gargoles it could dissable their fire. Neothen shot as much as he could into as many gargoles mouths that were infront of him. He continued with Malvor and cut off a gargoles head.

[*Lady Arwen*]

OOC:we have to try to cut the head off the head gargoyle! :p

IC: "But which one could it be? "Dimlondowen replied, all the gargoyles looked alike. They were identical, how to tell ho was comanding?

ooc:I meant the one with the bow......The one watching most of the battle usually the stringest one in't fight till later.

Alkidiwen was right. The gargol with the crosbow, seeing most of her friends dead now, decided to take more hands in the matter. There were only three gargols left, including the one with the crossbow. This one was the bigger one, and indeed the most powerful. She took four arrows, and placed in her crossbow. Magically the five arrows fitted perfectly, then she breathe out fire and all the arrows were flamed. Now the arrows were imbued with fire power. The gargol pointed to the middle fo the room and shoot. The five fire arrows went toward each member of the company heading exactly to their chests. If the arrows hit the floor, or the wall, then a big fire explosion would continue next, probably hurting more than one of them. "Look out,"screamed Bouk at the time he saw the arrow coming toward him.........

[Neothen]

Neothen raised Malvor and hit the arrow. It blew up and threw him across the room. Malvor was fine since it was made out of pure adamant, but Neothen had a few scorch marks. The thud against the wall didn't help either. Neothen got up and returned malvor to its sheath.

[*Lady Arwen*]

One arrow was gone, 4 more.
Dimlondowen fell to the ground not to be hit by the arrow, but it changed directions and went once again after her.

Bouk raised his staff and shoot a green bolt at the uncoming arrow. The two projectiles met each other and dissapeared in a fiery explosion. Bouk had acted just in time, for the arrow was going straight to his chest, and Bouk didn't had the agility to move out of the way. The head gargol stood up then, and jumped toward the company. She had left the crossbow behind, and instead she had a battle ax in each hand. Not only was she the most bigger one, she also had two heads, which would mean double the work. The gargol went toward Beth with her weapons high. Bouk gave a scream and tried to stop the gargol, but then one of the remaining guardians stood in front of him...........

[*Lady Arwen*]

Dimlondowen saw the gargol go towards Beth, she ran over to her and pushed her towards Akidilwen. Behind her came the arrow, which hit the head gargol that was infront of her. The gargol did not move but seemed afected by the arrow.

[sauronbill]

The arrow hit the gargol straight in the chest. The gargol stood in her place surprised of the hit. But her skin was so hard that the arrow had no effect at all, she didn't even had a burn on her skin. The gargol turned around grabbing her axes harder. She gave a large scream and went toward the elves that were holding Beth......

[Kelonus]

Suddenly out comes someone in an emerald colored robe. The hood covered the face. Alkidilwen and the others were amazed to see someone with them and the Gargol. Could he be a friend or foe they thought. The hooded one then pulls out his sword from his sheath. The sword had a sapphire jewel on the handle. The hooded one quickly attacks the Gargol before the others could get hit. The Gargol do to the hooded ones attack, splits in two. The shine of the blade was as beautiful as a diamond. The hooded one than takes off his hood. It was a male elf who was about 5'10 and had dark brown long hair and was young looking. He looked at Alkidilwen and the others with a look of friendliness, as they stared back.

[Neothen]

Neothen saw the gargole pull itself back together. Obviously the elf didn't know about cutting off the head. Neothen unsheathed Malvor the ancient Madoc sword and sliced the gargoles head off. Neothen turned to the elf with a smile. He waited for Bouk to speak.

[sauronbill]

Bouk got closer to the newcomer. "Who are you, and what are your intentions?,"said bouk with a look of distrust. "I don't seem to remember you. What are you doing in this mountain?"

[Kelonus]

My name is Kelonus. We've never met. You look at me in distrust. Thats no problem I understand. I come from Lenya, an elvish place. I am in here because I was with a friend traveling and killing Gargols. I'm am a ranger. Kelonus puts his sword in his sheath. These mountains may be dangerous, but I wasn't by myself. Apparantly I was with two others, but we ran into three Gargols. We killed two by cutting off their head. One of my friends was killed and taken by the Gargol do to an unexpected attack. My other friend while trying to escape is lost. I heard more Gargols and ran. Thats when I saw you and the others. Me and my friend just came here to kill enemy Gargols. Seems like we were out numbered this time. It never happened before. We should of been smart enough to not come here by ourselves. I mean no harm.

[Weathergirl2006]

Alkidilwen smiled broudly at the new comer he had a feel of mysteriousness but it was not a bad one. "well, Then we welcome you! "she said with a slight bow."Do you need help finding your friend. You are welcome to walk with us. it would far too dangerous to walk aone in these halls."

[Neothen]

"Indeed," Neothen added, "you should stay with us. I am Neothen Madoc, King of Doroth." Neothen gave a slight bow with his head. Neothen sheathed Malvor and stood near Bouk. "I think we haven't seen the last of that gnome."

[sauronbill]

"I guess not,"said Bouk. He returned his eyes toward the stranger, but this time he gave him a friendly look." Sorry if i was a little hard with you before. This land has been plagued by evil for years, and it's difficult to find trust in someone in these days. But anyway, you are welcome to join us if you want. We can help you look for your friends if you want for I know this place all around, but it will take time. And time is a thing we don't have. But still your friends could be in our way, we are trying to find the Treasure Room of the gnomes. I hope we find the Eye of Dorgarakth in there.....Welcome friend elf, you can join us. Should we continue our way then?"

[Kelonus]

"Thank you" Kelonus said. They all then continued on there way.

[*Lady Arwen*]

"I am Dimlondowen of Rivendell" She did not bow and no smile apeared on her face, she did not trust this elf, yet.

[Kelonus]

"Hello Dimlondowen. I see the look on your face of untrust. It's understandable," Kelonus said knowing Dimlondowen didn't trust him. Then all of a sudden someone wearing almost the same clothes as Kelonus came running being chased by three Gargols. "It's Senoluk my friend!" Kelonus shouted. The three Gargols captured Kelonus's friend and killed him. "Noo!" Kelonus shouted while unsheathing his sword. Kelonus then prepared for battle with those he had met to kill the Gargols.

[sauronbill]

The company acted fast killing the three gargols and releasing Kelonus's friend. He seemed to be all right. Bouk guide them through the halls trying to keep them out of danger. Then Bouk spotted the treasure room of the gnomes. He was very happy about it, also they didn't know what was inside. Bouk touched the door and read the runes that were written on it outloud. There was a loud noise and the door opened. There was no light, but still the gold and the gems shined in the inmense dark. Bouk gave a blow to his staff and a green bold was shot from it. The bolt of green light went to the roof of the room and stayed there, lighting up everything. They spotted torches on the wall that now were as dark as the room. "Everybody grab a torch and light it up,"said bouk with a low voice. "The green light won't last long, but be careful where you put your foot. I don't think we have seen the last of the gnomes traps........"

[Kelonus]

Everyone lit the room. Kelonus stood next to his friend Elon who Kelonus thought was dead, do to the Gargols. Elon was a little weary from what happened. "Let's be careful here. Something doesn't feel right," Elon said. "You may be right," Kelonus then said.

[*Lady Arwen*]

Dimlondowen and Akidilwen stayed close to Beth, all they needed now was her to get into trouble. Dimlondowen looked up up toward the celling of the room, there she saw more gargols, these of stone. She was sure that if they steped in a trap these gargols would come to life, like the others had... She warned the others of this and kept walking slowly across the room.

[sauronbill]

Alkidilwen kept close to Bouk in order to help him more. However, after a while of looking in all that inmense treasure, she said to herself that it was better if she looked alone. Suddenly she saw a big jewel that reflected the light of her torch in dozens of rays all around the room. She got close to it, only to see the biggest rubie she had seen in her life. The Eye of Gorgorakth, was at least as big as a man's head, and in the shape of a normal eye. But as soon as Alkidilwen went to get it, two of the gargols that were in the ceiling took out their bows, and put an arrow in it. With an incredible velocity they raised their heads, pointed the arrows toward Alkidilwen and shot toward her...........

[Neothen]

Neothen shot a small black rock shaped ball at one of the arrows and split it in two, but the other arrow was out of his reach. It was up to Alkildilwen......

[*Lady Arwen*]

Dimlondowen pushed Akidilwen out of the arrows way just in time, but the arrow hit Dimlondowen on the shoulder. She gave a scream and fell to the ground. She looked up at the gargols, they were preparing their bows unce again... Ready to shoot..

[Neothen]

Neothen held up his hands in a cup shape and unleash an array of lighting. It hit one of the gargoyles, but the other one was still alive and ready to shoot.

Alkidilwen pulled dimlondowen near the wall to see the wound. While neothen tried to divert to arrrows

For their luck Alkidilwen made it into take The Eye of Gorgorakth, and she still had it in her hand. Bouk divert the second arrow shooting one of his magic green bolts. The two gargols from the ceiling came back to their stone form. Bouk went to where the two elves were. "Great we have found it, "he said looking at the jewl. "After all these years, my destiny in these lands is almost over. I was lucky to find all of you crazy adventurers. Common, we have what we need, let's get out of here......" But as soon as Bouk has finished these words, a small shadow stood in the door. At the lights of the torches the gnome that they had encountered was there one more time.
"Not so fast vandal,"said the gnome. This time his look was determined and angry, no more tears were in his eyes. "I was right, you are nothing but thieves, and you take what doesn't belong to you. Put that jewl back inmediatly and get out of this mountain, or i'll have to throw you out......"
"And what about the treasure?"asked Bouk."We need this magic jewl to save this land. Would you prefer instead to leave it here for the rats?"
"Nonsense,"said the gnome furious."That jewl belong to the gnomes and the gnomes only. Our king has it like a favorite belonging. I can't let you just take it away."
"I told you there is no king. Why can't......?"Bouk stopped to breath, this gnome had made him really angry. If he wanted a fight he will have it. No more pity....Bouk took out his sword. "We don't want to hurt you....."
"Don't worry, you won't....."And after that the gnome raised his staff and shot two white magic bolts. One toward Neothen and the other toward Kelonus.........

[Neothen]

Neothen took out his wand and anihilated the spell that had been thrown at him. "Fool," Neothen yelled as he returned his wand and took out Malvor. "Magic won't work on me! You are a disgrace to the race of gnomes."

[sauronbill]

"That may be true human,"said the gnome looking at Neothen," but i'll be damn if i let you take part of our treasure. Knogk Halem". And with those words the gnome transformed his staff in a powerful hammer. The hammer seemed too big for the gnome, but he seemed to handle it fine.
"Oh, no. This is bad,"said Bouk giving a step back.
"I prefer the treasure buried forever, than in your filthy hands thieves," said the gnome giving a look at the whole company. " Let's see you deal with this......" The gnome raised the hammer, that now was glowing with a strange light, and brought it down with great force. The hammer hit the floor causing an incredible large sound that rumbled all over the room. A momment later the roof started to break little to little and huge rocks started to fall all around them..........

[Neothen]

Neothen stood his ground and tried to make a force field to stop the falling rocks and redirect them. It worked for the smaller head sized ones but the other larger rocks fell through the force field. Neothen didn't want to lose a lot of energy so he kept the field small. Most of Neothen's strong spells were supposed to be used outside and he couldn't think of one that could counter such a powerful move.

[sauronbill]

Bouk shooted some magic bolts toward the coming rocks. "Quickly," he said," we have to get out of here soon, or else the roof will fall over us." Bouk took Beth and run toward the entrance, but the gnome standed in the middle of the way. The rocks continued falling, but with less quantity.......

[Neothen]

Neothen saw that Beth was in danger. He let go of the force field and ran straight into the gnome not carring for himself. "Run Bouk, run!!!!!" Neothen yelled as he wrestled with the gnome. The roof would soon fall and Bouk needed to take Beth out of there.....

[*Lady Arwen*]

Dimlondowen was still sitting on the ground, Akidilwen next to her. She got up quickly telling Akidilwen that she was fine, but she couldn't move her left arm. She just help it limply by her side. She did this just as Neothen ran out towards the gnome

[sauronbill]

The gnome saw his two enemies come at him. " Enough of this,"screamed the gnome, and he raised the hammer one more time to bring it down a second later hitting the floor one more time. This time the sound was harder and stunned Neothen and Dimlondewen for a second. This time a huge cracking noice was heard from above and the colums, gargols and the roof started to fall all over them. Bouk had manage to take out Beth, he left her save on the outside, at the time he returned inside, sword in hand, and charged against the gnome........

[sauronbill]

The place was destroying now, and huge rocks were falling all around the company. " All of you get out now!!, " screamed Bouk with a voice at the time that he ran back to the door. The rest of the company got out including Neothen. Bouk was the last and he stood at the door.
"Curse you, curse you enemies of the king. I'll kill you all, "screamed the gnome at the time he came running avoiding the big rocks.
"No, you'll stay here with your treasure,"screamed Bouk in his anger. He raised his staff and hit the floor with it. Two roots came out of the floor and grabbed the gnome's legs. " This madness ends here."
"Nooo, wait, don't leave me....." screamed the gnome at the time Bouk closed the door leaving the gnome to his death.
"It's better this way," said Bouk in a whisper still holding the door. He looked over to Alkidilwen," Do we still have the Eye of Dorgarakth??......"
