Okay, I have had this idea in mind for a long time, and have finally put a story with it. It will take place in a modern-day Middle Earth, and the main characters will be Leo and Alena. If you are interested in joining please post your character profile here.

History: Parents were killed by goblins at the age of five. Recently got a job working for Lester, head of the "Rox" gang.

Hey, Vigoldenflower. I don't have any problem with you joining, its just the fact that your profile doesnt really fit in. If you could just edit it or post a new one, something that fits in with modern day gangs, and an extremely rough bunch. But it is middle earth so magic spells and all that good stuff is allowed, but we need something more....grungy i guess. Thanks!

I have come up with a title in my sleep....it shall be "forever fallin" sort of describing the life style of the bunch. What do you guys think? Any objections?
Oh, and we need about 2 more memers. We need somebody to play as Lester for a while. And we need somebody that is willing to be a detective that is searching us out.

Well, there are many many members of Rox. The only PC's that are in Rox are me and you tho. A few of the other members are Chilly, Lester's main man. Cru', Rox's most skilled hitman. And Buckle, Rox's torturer.

let's see.................ok, so like we start out like a bad gang, or something, and for something or other we have to fight for the good, right? ok, so how's this:
the person in charge of the enforcers turns out to be an evil person who wants to take over Middle Earth and kill all the people who try and stop him, and starts killing off one by one his followers, but makes it look like accidents. somehow or other we find out about it, but no one will believe us cuz we're just a few punks, and who's gonna trust a punk? so we realize it's up to us to stop the evil person from killing everybody.
ok, that was really stupid sounding, but I'm not very good at coming up with story lines
Hey, thats actually not a bad idea. I mean, we could spice it up a bit. Lets say this man is planning to use biological weapons or something like that.

Well, I like it... except aren't we supposed to be bad in the first place? If we follow that story line then we would turn out to be actually good.... So I guess that we need to decide whether we want to be scary characters or simply scaring-looking characters. So do we want to be the heroes or the hunted?

hm..........good point. maybe we should like start out being the hunted by the enforcers, and then the evil guy takes over, and he's after us cuz we know what he's up to, and the good people are after us cuz they think we're helping him. so we're the heroes, but no one realizes that so we get to go on living our gang-life :D
Okay, we are bad people(assasin etc.) but that doesnt mean we are "evil".

I know it doesn't mean that we are evil.... Ok, I guess I'm just a little tired of the whole taking over ME ordeal. Maybe it should be a little less ambitious. Either we could be the bad guys or the good guys. One way we could stop something bad from happening, and the other way we could be the people trying to make the bad thing happen and end the RP with our heartwrenching deaths, imprisonment, etc. I personally like the latter.
Well, I dont want our characters to be "EVIL" i want the bad guys to be the good guys, if you know what i mean. If you have ever seen Blue Streak, or Gone in Sixty Seconds you would know what im talking about.
There is a difference between bad and evil. For instance, Charles Manson is BAD. Somebody like Brain Warner or some other Satan worshiper would be considered evil.

well I keep coming back, but my last two posts got me criticized by the High and Mighty Javlynn:mad: might I point out that even though I've only been in a couple of RPGs on these boards, does NOT mean I am a newbie to RPGing! on the HP.com boards, I am one of the best! I have been RPGing for THREE YEARS! and he tells me to make it look PROFFESSIONAL! who CARES if I can't spell right and my grammar sucks? does it MATTER? no! and also, BOTH of you are my character do things that actually would rather not have her do. ex.: have BEER or wine or whatever it was in my refigerator? no way!
.To Vigoldenflower I think that you are an excellent RPer Vig, but It does make it easier if you use punctuation and grammar. I am glad you are with us, and I really like your posts, except for they are not typed to where they are appealing to the eye. RPing here is more like writing a book than anything else though, imho:). Would you want to write a book with spelling, capitilization, punctuation and grammar errors riddled withing it pages? I think not.
Anyhew... Thanks for speaking your mind. I think that you are a good RPer, but you just need to slow down and watch what you are typing
To everyone I think that the RP should be a mental battle as well as a physical one. Excellent way to get deeply into the character. I am not going to post them in first person though. It could be Leo's story.

x-cuse me, but I see no reason why I should do what either of yuo say. I'll have you know I have done SEVERAL RPGs along the lines of modern-day ME or HP with computers and guns and stuff, AND, I was the best one! I brought INTEREST and X-CITEMENT. I bet that YOU'RE the newbies, and if yuo're going to sit here and tell me what to do, then forget it. I'm quiting the RP. I've had it.
I am sorry to have offended you, but I said what I had to. Thanks for starting it up with us though, and I am sorry that it did not go through as planned.
(BTW, Javlynn and I are very experienced RPers, and I don't mean on message boards or video games.)

O well, can't please everybody. I clearly mentioned before we started the rp that I wanted to keep it going smooth, and wanted everybody to use spell check and grammer check if they are not smart enough to use proper english. Anyway, I'm glad she quit, now we have it to ourselves until we can find some good, experienced rp'ers.

Ok all, this thread seems to be spiraling into heated exchange, not to mention the full page of posts that have no bearing on the RP itself.
This section is supposed to be for Serious Roleplaying, which means if you are contributing, make sure you all take time to check both your spelling and grammar, at every opportunity. The discussion thread we are now in, is for exactly that, discussion about the RP. Keep it to the point and relative to the story.

See, that is the problem that I have ran into. Us infiltrating the fortress isn't really....us! Its sorta weird but I dont think it fits. Thats what im trying to figure out now.
Alkorr is more of a spy/assassin* than anything else.

Have either of you seen the movie "Bandits" with Cate Blanchette, and two other guys whose names I can't remember? They escape from prison by stealing a propane truck driving out. Don't know how realistic that is, but it's an idea.

Well, at this point in the game, the group has nothing against Lester.
We are beginning to though, due to his assassin that tried to kill me. Poor girl. Didn't know who she was up against.

We do know that she was in affiliation w/ Rox. That says a lot.
Yea, but if you were attacked by somebody you worked with, wouldnt you think that was a little suspicious and not necessarily suspect the leader right off?
We know something fishy is going on there, and the girl getting killed before she can reveal info. is also a clue.

Okay, as the creator of this rp I have decided to let it keep going instead of deleting but...I want everybody to delete all of their posts made on it. We shall start over from the beginning.
I'm doing this for a few reasons. 1 is just simply that...I dont like it! Its going too fast and their is too much violence right off. 2 is because I don't like "Rox" for a gang name so I'm gonna change that. 3 is because I just feel like starting over coz I don't like where it is going.

yeah, I know, it is almost exactly like coke for M.E., and as my RPG character is an Elf, I hsould be positively delighted with the wine, but my REAL self overrules my RPG self, and so I don't want it. YOUR fridge can have it...........btw, what were you talkin about when yuo said I knew where to look?

I think that maybe Alena is Leo's girl. Tina could either be Alkorr's girl, but his personality would need to change some, or Tina could be someone that is running from Lester. I will let you choose, or come up with your own idea, Vi.
This isn't a romantic rp by any means, so we will worry about whos "girl" is who's later. But to answer your question, yes Alena is mine.
I know that, and I wasn't trying to make it so. I was just a' thinkin' about ways to get the other people in quickly, which was the problem with the original concept (Nenya and Sting weren't in quickly enough).
I believe that Alena should be my girl, then we should find Tina about the same way we did before...I don't know. Lets think before we continue the rp, okay?

Okay, it will start out like this. Leo will stay up all night and get a phone call for a job later that day. On this job he sees you, although you have nothing to do with the actuall job. Anyway, I will complete the job, whatever it may be and that is how our 2 characters will get together.
My character has left the street corner, so you might find him in a nearby bar.

Okay, I have a new thing for Forever Fallin. After this job(which doesn't go through)Leo quits Amin-Kree which angers Les, considering he is the best they got. So they kidnap his girlfriend for a ransom and this really makes Leo burst. So he then pays the ransom but they dont give her back and they say they are going to kill her. So he goes to the warehouse and kills Les and rescues Alena. That is how it will happen.
Maybe I should join up with you. I am owed money by someone, and it could turn out to be Les. Then me and you can bust in there.
Okay, but why would you owe money to Les?
Read again carefully... Les would owe me money for the various assassinations I have done.

We havn't really discussed a whole bunch of stuff.
Okay, the "Glorious Javlynn" and the "Mighty Azog" have some follow-ups.
1. At first we said the job for Amin-Kree wasn't going to be a success. but it was the only way for a smooth turn out so Leo did complete the job.
2. The gang name has been changed to Amin-Kree.
3. Sting will still be the characters from the gang.
4. we will try to get the other players in ASAP.

Weapons: Two silver pistols in belt, and a harpoon gun with thermal grenades on the shafts on his back.
History: Drug dealer and gangster, but is looking for a gang to hook up with.
