the movie where arwen takes a stabed frodo to rivendell, and she conjures the flood, or in the book when glorfindel comes, frodo takes himself by means of glorfindel's horse, and elrond+gandalf make the flood?

Too true, Talimon.

P.S. I would answer, but Eminem gonna sing 'Lose Yourself' soon, and I'm not gonna miss it. ;)

Well, I'd rather hear that than a chorus of dwarves shout/singing DooWah DooWah as in Moria.

I hardly ever come to the movie section. sorry about that. I just noticed that noone tried to help this person out. You could have given a link to another thread with the same subject. You could have just answered the question and started the discussion over here. It would save this new person the trouble of reading through the pages of the other thread. oh well. Maybe I'm just crazy. I'll leave now.

Here's my answer to the question, though ---> I like the book scene better. No real reason. I didn't like the chanting Arwen did. Crazy witchiness. oh well.

muahahahahahaa :D "DooWah DooWah..." *almost chokes*

Most members seem to prefer the original book scene, I think. Some like both. I haven't been to any of the previous threads discussing the same subject, and now I'm wondering what do people who hadn't read the book before the film think of that scene? Thread merging can probably be expected, so I guess I'll find out soon

Anyways, linte, you never told us your opinion?

I actually like both scenes in different ways and for different reasons. In the book it was really neat to meet Glorfindel and have his horse take Frodo to the Ford. It was neat to see Frodo turn and face the ringwraiths and to have him see his friends weilding fire on the opposite side. However, I also liked the expansion of Arwen's character and the way it made a good introduction for her. Also, it might have been a little odd just to pop such a fascinating and powerful elf as Glorfindel into the film just for the sake of that single scene and then never have him in the rest of the story. That just wouldn't work that well. People would be like "ok who the heck was that guy and why isn't he in the rest of the story?" Anyway, that's my take.
