Looks: Brown long hair, silver eyes, 5'10. Although a green-elf, he has travlled far and although never when into the west his eyes look like the eyes those who have saw the light of the Trees of Valinor.

Weapons: Dagger, Bow.
Magic Yes/No: Bardic musical magic for minor enchantments, etc...

Family: Contact with his true family is non-existant. He was brought up by the Guild of Bards (it's name in common-tongue), and regards the Guild as his family.

History: Born in Ossiriand around the period when the Noldor were , he soon was abandoned at the Guild of . Taken in and brought up, he loves all music. He has spent his life searching, listening for echos of the Song of Eru.

Personality: He had a dream in his teenage years of recreating the Song of Illuvatar, this time without the dischords of Melkor. From that time on, he has searched the lands, listening on every peak and in every valley, in every forest and on every lake. He dreams to be the greatest bard in the history of Arda. Throughout his days, many have become followers of him, and his own guild, the Guild of Gwaithlon (Echo-Folk) now exists in middle-earth. Although he travels alone, he is a very thoughtful, caring person, and he loves poetry, song, dance. Suprisingly, he loves the company of others, especially those who are enthuisatic about his quest.

1. Aragorn_rocks, welcome to the Guild, please look at the very first post of the thread to see your place and rank, and Calimehtar I forgot to give you yours so do the same please, sorry I can't tell you what it is right now but I am trying to remember how many spaces are available.

2. Nefmariel I simply meant that you are on the Council of Glorfindel since Rasec will rarely be here, but if he does show up he will be higher ranked than you and we should all pay close attention to what he might have to say since he will not be here.

3. Anamatar I have not read your post in "The Council" thread, but I have a general idea of what it may be about already, and if it is about the members PMing people and asking for votes, I agree and say NO! Please everyone do not do that, I don't want us to get the guild space that way, it just would not be fair, and the Rangers have been around a long time and deserve it just as much as we do.

4. Welcome back Lady Arwen, and Earendil about what you PM'd me about, I've decided that it wouldn't be a good idea, enough people know about us already just from reading some of our sigs, and I post very frequently so don't worry it gets scene, there are just a lot of people that don't have any interest for guilds, I never did and didn't even really know what they were until Anamatar PM'd me one day asking me to join his guild.

Nefmariel you can go and post in the "Council of Glorfindel" thread at any time now, I would like to hear what everyone on the council has to say about some things I just posted there. And Anamatar now I have read your post there and I guessed right about what you had to say. Again, please do not PM random people asking them to vote for us, or there will be punishments, I'll tell you what those are when a final decision is made about them. Okay everyone I think thats all I have to say for now, I'll post back here later with some more info about things.

P.S. Earendil you're right I do have to take care of a lot of stuff every time I come here, I had to post that much just now, and my previous post was about 6 minutes ago!:eek:

Well they shouldn't be allowed to do that, and if the mods don't know they can't stop them, and I don't think there is anything the mods can do anyway, but Anamatar told them the same thing as us, and hopefully they will do the right thing and take it the same that we did, so even if they continue to do it, just let it go, I think that if we continue to be as popular as we are and keep getting more members we will earn our own space anyway.

As for punishment, here is how it will work: If I found out that 2 or more members PM for votes again I will ask us to be removed from the Guild Auction altogether, but if just 1 or 2 people do it and I found out how many times they do it again, then they will be suspended for however many days as the number of members they PM'd, sorry to be really harsh everyone, but I really do not want us to get the guild space like that.

I am apalled at the guild auction-both teams know they dont have 30 members and every member of the forum knows 60 people dont vote for guild auctions on their own. Thusly I have pmed Ancalagon with this issue and I leave it to him to decide what to do with it.

Re: The Guild Auction
The fact is, this is a political voting process, how people secure votes for their Guild is entirely up to them. Personally, I like initiative when it comes to getting one one wants, in this case, both Guilds have been guilty of seeking votes from non-participants, so action against one would result in action against the other.

The Auction will stay open for a while longer, in that time, I suggest you begin to market your Guild better and seek more votes from whatever sources you can get.

I have an idea for this thread in particular: how about we reserve this thread to *meaningful* discussions about the guild. I have been reading the last few pages-the majority of which are welcoming new members. I realize it is a good habit to welcome the new ones to the Guild of Elves but we do not need the entire guild to welcome them. If I may suggest-why not assign one person to greet new members? One member who says, "Welcome so and so" and then GLor can pop in and give the new member the stats and the position. That way this thread can be clear for important issues with the guild.:)

The Council is considering having the Orc Hunting thread deleted because there are already 2 threads very similar to it in other guilds, and it seems an awful lot like copying, even if it is not meant to be. So if there is anyone that has a problem with this please let me know and tell why you would like to keep it.

Weapon: The Lunemiel - Brother sword of Glamdring made by elvish smiths. And Lothendil - Elvish bow made from the wood of LothLorien and set with slithers of Mithril, The matching quiver contains no less than 17 arrows, each with silver heads engraved with an "L" rune. The tails' are sleak and narrows to give the most speed to each arrow.

History: Born in the underground halls of Mirkwood, Emowyn was raised within the trees of the wood elves. Before she had aged more than a year, her father, Lord Llyras of Reedwin died in an aliance to Gondor. It was then Emowyn was taken under the fathership of King Thranduil of Mirkwood, where in Erebor, she became Elesselde meaning Elf-Child. Emowyn was raised learing all she could about archery, sword-play, crafting, music and ancient languages. At the age of 16 she rode out to Rivendell on her horse Elvealoth, where her mother now dwelt in the house of Elrond. From Rivendell, a fellowship of elves set out to Lorien where Emowyn was then to stay. She then was taught the art of boating, cavery and more. From then on she did not leave LothLorien but only to ride with Elvealoth to Mirkwood.

Apperance: 5'5" slender and gracefull as are her kin. Emowyn's hair in long and free, ending at her lower back, and is the colour of pale blonde, light sunlight. It is worn in braids beside the ears and half pulled back over the head into a platt as is the fasion with elves. Her eyes are unusualy dark but highlight and shimmer hazel in the lights. She is not renowned for her beauty but is still fair to behold.

Clothing: (It is best to describe this in layers)
Layer1;- This is a soft, white, cotton dress, laced at the frount like a simple corset. The sleeves are bound halfway above the elbow and then hang, split and trumpet like over her hands. There is simple embroidary across the bodice and around the neck. The hem line ends above the feet. most of the time she wears a sleaker, more regal version of this with a Mithril studded belt.
Layer 2;- Over this simple garb in a second bodice made of dark brown leather. This has a wide neck and a fitted shape.
Layer 3;- To compleate this main outfit, Emowyn wears a thick sword belt in which hangs the Lunemiel in its' leather and studded scabbard. She also wears a pair of ornaitly decorated wrist and hand guards, matching the style of that in the bodice. Over all of this is the ordinary cloak with can be found in Lorien held in a green and silver, leaf clasp. Emowyn also wears her quiver and bow over this cloak like that of the style of Legolas.
Other items which the lady Ashstone may be clad, are simple boots and a leather pouch.

Other: Emowyn has only one sibling that we know of, that is Endomer, Her brother, also Silvan elf kin but his love for horses means that he rides in Rohan for the best part of the ages.

Well I give you your rank based mostly on activity in the guild and/or forum, so I gave you a pretty good rank right away Finduilas because I know that you are quite active, but others I still have to determine the ranks of, to see them just read the thread called "Members List". As for tests, I don't deal with those anymore, I used to have people take a survey type of thing to determine their "location", which is just to make it easier for me to organize everyone, but new members are coming too often I don't really have to be reading everyone's survey results and placing them so I just randomly place people now, and also everyone was ending up with the same results and I can't put everyone in the same place.

Thank you Gorfindel. Little is known compleatly about the rp as is yet, however I hope to collect some more research before I go ahead with it. What I can tell you is that it is set within the third age, acording to Gondor, before the birth of Bilbo Baggins. I can also say that it is set in Both the North and East of Middle-Earth, not just the West. The Elves play an important role within the rp, mainly around Mirthdor, the Elvish safe-haven in the East. I need more infomation on characters and the rest of the lands before I can begin, but I thank you again and i can't wait to start!

Yes, of course it is. Remember, people: when it is Summer in the North Hemisphere, it is Winter in the South, when it is Spring in the North, it is Autumn in the South, and so on...
Once I live in Brazil, it is obviously Summer here while it is Winter in the US. Well, this is basic geography lesson. Did you miss it at school? LoL :rolleyes:

I've always wanted to go to Canada, its just a bit cold, but around here its been as cold as Canada gets, for the past few weeks we've had negative numbers for temperatures, its not much fun.
