RP XX: The Lost Library

Very few are those in Middle-earth who know about the Illunatars, a small, selected group of beings, who had the mission to observe and register the events of Middle-Earth.

The Illunatars were of different races, lived in different places and worshipped different Gods, but they all understood how important it was to observe, register and organize the events that took place in Middle-Earth. Of course, they all had their own lives, and devoted themselves to many activities, but they would all, from time to time, write down their observations and then take them to Illuranon, the secret underground city of the Illunatars.

Illuranon was located somewhere in the Hills of Evendim and meetings were held there from time to time. During these meetings, the Illunatars would discuss their doings and put their writing togethers in a place called Tiranar, or The Library.

Time went by and the Illunatars continued with their never ending quest. As the years passed, Tiranar was becomming bigger and bigger, greater and greater. And soon it became a magnificent library, in which one could find more facts and knowledge than many were afraid to conceive.

Among all the books stored in Tiranar, one was a greast value. It was the Harandor, the book which has been claimed to contain the writing of the Gods, the secrets of time, a glimpse at what was Eru's true intent within his creation of Arda. The only people who had access to harandor were the 3 wise, the beings who were the eternal leaders of the Illunatars.

And so one day, during the beggining of the 3rd age of Middle-earth, Illuranon was attacked. Legend says it was attacked by a strong, magnificent wizard of evil and selfish intent, who is yet to be named. This wizard broke deep into the hidden halls of Illuranon and slaughtered all those who put themselves in his way. He devastated Illuranon and stole Harandor, taking with him unbareble secrets, thus gaining overwhelming power. Legend says this wizard left Illuranon to go east, to his hidden lairs, and was never again seen or heard of...

Nearly a century later, a small group of adventurers set out to find Illuranon, and seek the truth for themselves. For they were far too curious to settle for the words of the legends, and they had the Gods by their sides and their entire lives in front of them...

This is the intro to my RP guys. This will be the first one I start here, I hope you like it. At the beginning, I’ll be with the roles of Hamann, a wizard and the leader of the group, and Julien, a woman from Gondor who has joined the group. I'll post their profiles this night.

I still need/want some 5 or 6 people to join. All you have to do is PM me with how your character is. Once you’re accepted, post the profile of you character here in the OOC thread.

Have fun and help me make this a great RP.

I am sorry to interupt guys, but Arcanjo don't you think you should finish the RPG you are with before you start with a new one? I mean I just feel like it such a waste and I would not badger you with it had I not seen this new RPG you started. You have time for this yet you have no time for THE QUEST?

Don't you think it will be better if you Finish one RPG before starting another?

I didn't like the way the quest was going, and I also had some problems that prevented me from posting here at the forum some months ago. By the time I came back, I had completely lost interest in RP48.

Sorry, but it happened.

Hamann, the Blue Wizard, is known by several names among the people of Middle-earth, yet very little is actually known about him. Some people assume he is of the same order Gandalf is, but Gandalf himself has dimissed that idea at some many ocasions. Some people beleive Hamann comes from the far east of Middle-earth, saying that he belongs to lands that are yet to be named. At the same time, some people beleive Hamann belongs to the far north of Middle-earth, where the snow is eternal and winter lasts all year long.

The one thing everybody knows about Hamann is that he is absolutely fascinated with books. He is known to spend countless hours reading and writing in the libraries he visits, although he has never allowed anyone to read the things he write.

Wherever Hamann goes, Julien goes with him. Julien is a beautiful lady, adopted by Hamann when she was still an infant. Julien's parents were killed by bandits when they were travelling on the road to Esgaroth. By the time Hamann came by the scene, Julien was left alone, in between the dead bodies of her mother and father. Julien was only some months old at that time, and Hamann had no choice but to take her with him.

Ever since, Hamann has tought many things to Julien, including how to make use of weapons, survive in the wild and pick pockets.
