I've been told that this is the right place for a thread like this one, so here we go...

Definatly buy it! Wonderful book, and not just another biography! In fact, I wouldn't even call it a biography, it's more of a book-length essay on various Tolkien topics. It's prolly my favorite out of all the books on Tolkien's work I've read.

*giggles* I cried through bits of it, hehehe... the way T. Shippey describes some stuff is too wonderful...

I found them... they were larger animations, but Grond shrunk them to avatar size for me.

Man and Myth is pretty good, Finding God is more of a Christian devotional book, and I haven't read Ordinary Virtues yet. If you can, try and find the other book by Shippey. I think it's called The Road to Middle-earth.

Heehee, a Tolkien book a day sounds good!

I don't know why Amazon ships everything separate, especially if you ordered them together. You would think it would raise the price of shipping. *rolls eyes*
