Welcoem to the forum..
There are numerous guides and accessories to be found; books, tapes, videos, and courses. There is a very etensive guide at Ardalambion (http://www.ardalambion.com), especially on Quenya (which I personally prefer out of the two languages). :)

Helloooooo. I don't know it yet, do you know Quenya? I'm learning that now, and it's suggested in a bunch of places I've seen to learn Quenya first. I'm learning Sindarin when I'm through with Queny.... ok... I'm done now.

My sister wants to learn either Quenya or Sindarin (not me, I don't have the time nor the patience. English and French are quite enough for me). Well, I knew of that site Lantarion reccommended, so she's sorted for that already, but she wants to know which form should she learn? Probably in terms of which is nicer, which is easier and which has free guides more readily available?

i think that they both have an equal number of referances...if you want one thats easier i would say sindarin it isn't as strict as quenya but if you want the one that sounds more beautiful its Quenya. i have learned sindarina dn i have found that it also has a baeutiful sound to it. i have also learned quenya but that was ALOT harder to learn!:D ;) hope i helped!!!

"Quel Kaima" is not Sindarin though. If this is "Grey Company Elven" I would recommend avoiding their stuff. It's for roleplaying.

oh really? are you sure? it has it everywhere that it is sindarin....
Speaking of Sindarin here, a couple suggestions on a couple guild names:
One should be Periannath (not Pheriannath), unless you include the article in Sindarin ~
Periaur should probably reduce to Perior (IMO anyway). Note -raug > -rog (in Balrog) and -daur (taur) > -dor (in Gildor), and Aran Einior "Elder King" (-iaur > -ior).

Can't be Sindarin. Where is everywhere?

maybe these names weren't meant to be sindarin...which would be my guess....

And Pheriannath is Sindarin no doubt :)
But again, where is "everywhere" regarding "Quel ..." please?

I suggest learning Sindarin. It is so cool!! :) I like it because it sounds cool and is used more frequently "among Elves". ;)

~woops!~ Sorry, double post. Hey, to make this post useful, go here (http://mgs.renzdirect.com/elvish) for some useful Elvish resources. :)
BTW, how do you prounounce these sindarin double letters and single letters?
"ae, ai, ph (is it the same as english?), c, ch, and sh."
Thanx!
