I don't think I've ever seen an Outcast...well...cast out of the Outcasts. :rolleyes: Maybe if one became overwhelmingly snotty/preppy/unOutcastish. But if that was the case, they probably wouldn't want to be an Outcast anymore anyway. And even popular people are Outcasts on the inside in some way.

Er, that means I'm not going to be getting on the internet. I'm not going anywhere, I've just decided not to get online starting tonight and ending on Sunday. I'm going to clean my room and read and study biology and civics, and this will be very Good For Me and Improve My Mental Health.

Thanks and the desktop 'should' be here by Wednesday or thursday. The reason for the long delay is back when I attempted to replace the HD in my iBook I screwed up the trackpad's cables, so it no longer works. So I have to use a mouse, the problem is we only have 2 mouses in the house, mine and the 'family comp' mouse, well my fam went and broke their mouse so they have to use mine until the replacement gets here (we bought the exact same kind of mouse on eBay). So once I get MY mouse back I'll have da desktop ready.

My posting habits have been slacked lately although I have been online nearly every night. What I have to announce is: I've been homeschooled all my life, I've never been to public school as a student, tomorrow that changes. My mom is becoming a nurse and still has another year of schooling herself and as a result my siblings have all been put in school, all but me, but since my mom has hardly any time to do her school (cause she has to help with homework for my bro's and sister) I am not being taught and thus not learning. So I've been enrolled for a semester at West Port High School, where I know and will be taking most of my classes from, the TV Prod and Digital Animation Teacher. I'm rather aprehensive about it, kind of mixed feelings, but I'm confident I'll be fine. Homework is bound to consume most of my time for the next few months, so what I'm saying is I my not be very active here for awhile, I'll know tomorrow, or by the end of the week, what kind of workload I'm in for but I'm just letting you all know now, ahead of time, that I may not be here for awhile. But like I said, I may be overconsidering, only time will tell.

We would like to make a short,but important announcement.

A new activity called The Best of The Best Debating Tournament is about to start in a week.When everything is completed it will be made visible for you.

The Best of The Best will be a tournament in which the best six debators will be invited to debate bewteen themselves-1vs1.The members of every Guild should choose their best Debator who will represent them.
We realize that due to some real-life problems the member that is chosen may not be able to participate sometimes.That is why you are allowed to choose a replacement.The replacement will be allowed to take part only in 30 persents of the tournament.
Of course ,if you believe that the One you choose can be online during all ten rounds of the debates,you do not have to choose a replacement.

That is why we,the organizers of the tournament,kindly ask you to choose your best debator(and his replacement if you want)and send a pm to me (Gil-Galad)with the two names.

I might do this if no one else wants to, but if Rhiannon is willing I can be her replacement.

Well Nom,it will start about February 10th.
Every debate will last for 10 days,bacause 1vs1 is a difficult task and it requires lots of research and more time.

After every two rounds there will be a short brake.

Acutally Gothmog will not be a judge.His position is different.There will be three judges in every Round which will be invited to become judges before the beginning of the Tournament.Thus we hope that only capable persons will judge the debates.We had some bad experiences with judges in the previous team tournament.

I truly hope that you will take part in The Best of The Best as representative of GoO,Nom.You are one of the best debators I have ever seen and it will be a great loss for the whole TTF if we cannot see you debating together with the other great debators.

In fact I got some strange unexpected news today. My job was changed... so while I am working as many hours, I am doing much easier work and not exhausted when I get home. So I may be able to put more time into the first two rounds (if I am in them) than I previously thought... but anyhow... Rhiannon, I know you don't feel qualified, but would you rather be the primary anyhow and then I can just fill in for 3 of them... maybe three with topics you feel least qualified about? I would like to clarify something which will probably make Nom's participation possible.
In every debate only one person will be allowed to debate.That means that a replacement will debate a whole round alone,as well as the official representative.
The tournament will start on February 15th,which means that Nom will miss only one round.Thus she can be the official representative if she still wants it.

Alrighty people, we're up for the trivia competition this coming week against the Periaur, so I think we should start figuring out who's going to be on the team. Here's the info:

The quiz would be played on IRC, where a triviabot would ask a series of Tolkien-related questions. To do well in this game, one would have to have a good mix of Tolkien-knowledge, and quick reflexes. Each round lasts for 3 days, as so there is a bit of flexibility for the two Guilds to find their ideal time to play each other. Depending on the time the two Guilds agree on, either myself or a chosen replacement shall ask the questions (until the QuizBot gets going).

Each team shall consist of up to 3 players. The quiz shall be a first to 15 game. Whever gets 15 points first wins the game. The quiz should take about 30 minutes to complete.


So how about it? Anyone interested? I'm in all the way.
