It's sort of like an insane maniacal cackle with some 'hee hee's thrown in.

Or maybe that's just my sister.

BranMuffin

Nope, not gonna do it. I can't put on a Teddy bear costume. If I did I would probably get tranquilized and tagged...
I was already a ballerina against my will, and now I'm wanted as a bear aghhh...

I still have my stuffed bear "Mr. Bear", though he's getting old and missing part of his lips...
Have a blankie too. It's in storage though so it won't get destroyed.

What were the laugh's for??

Rhiannon
08-06-2003, 07:14 PM
It was the idea of stuffing you in to a bear suit, dear. That's all.

BranMuffin

Yeah that would be pretty funny. It would be hard to find one that fits me.

Kai, Rhi...I hate to break it to you but I don't think you'll be able to get me down. It took 9, count them NINE, girls to get me down. They weren't wimpy girls either, they were my cousins and sisters ganging up on me. We have video of it somewhere...it actually was the inspiration for the 100 Agent Smith's scene...
*ponders what's next on Tal's "evil to do list" and hides from being put in bear suit*

I can, and probably am. Not really fat just big..
That's how my cousins got me down too, by wrapping around my legs.

Why is it always fun for younger siblings to pick on and mess with the older(and bigger) brother. I guess it goes both ways though...

BranMuffin

Mac can't help you here Rhi. He's met her once and back then she wasn't my girlfriend. I don't think he would remember her unless I brought up an embarrasing moment she had at church.

Dragon
08-13-2003, 09:29 PM
well, can u at least tell us about her if u wont let us embarrass u in front of her?

No, don't worry folks, I'm not rejoining, I'm just making a special guest appearance :D It's amazing what you come up with when you type your name into the search function-thing. I happened across these clever comments, all the way from the end of June ;)
Yes Yay, you're quite stubborn and controversial as well ...but Craig was really the king of arguments. Ugh. Don't ever...ever...get him started on soccer...or football, as he insists on calling it...or how to spell the word "defense" (which he will swear has the letter c in it). He won't give up until he wins. Oh, but we all know I won, don't we? Both the sport and the language started where I am, so therefore, what you have is a mere interpretation, a botched attempt to be different, if you will :p
Originally posted by Kailita
My family is usually fairly easy-going, unless the topic is something they feel very strongly about. I hardly ever argue anything unless it's important. That's why Craig took me by surprise...when I met him, I suddenly felt the urge to argue every little point...I could not stand to let him win! He reminds me of a stubborn older brother. Oh, and it gets better, I'm an older brother now! ;) Wait, I am already... And of course, I would have won against you as well :D Oddly, though, I feel I've mellowed a bit over the last few months. During my search earlier, I found a lot of stuff I posted a while ago, and it's quite surprising how insensitive, moronic or blunt I'd been. I like to feel I'm a much nicer person now ;)

I can feel somewhat proud of this thread, in some ways it's my legacy to you all ;) I started it, and now this is the 805th reply!

Mike Wazouski! Mike Wazouski! *loves Monsters Inc*

I still feel that was an unjust accusation (we are talking about the 'Is Craig's Avatar Scary' thread?). But I'm not going to get into that argument again

That's the one...and it is chauvanistic to make the generalization that girls freak out more easily than boys...but right, we weren't going there :D I like you anyways. My brother is a chauvanist, and I still like- well, I still tolerate him ;)

*claps hand over mouth to keep from screaming about media inspired female stereotypes and saying that Craig should meet some of the girls of her acquintance*

Wolfshead
08-17-2003, 01:19 AM
Yes, but try meeting some of the girls I know. I live in a small community, so whereas you will be able to mix just with the people you want to, I have to meet all different kinds of people. Of course, there are girls that don't scare easily. Just, in general, girls do scare more easily.

But this has been done to death, and we can't end it with a result other than a draw, I'm afraid :p

Rhiannon
08-17-2003, 04:34 AM
But see, but see...this is an important distinction! Is it the majority of girls you know who scare more easily, or the majority of girls out of the whole entire huge freaking world who scare more easily? If it's just the majority of girls you know, then it's not chauvanistic, because it's possibly true of them...

Yes yes yes, I'm going I'm going, I'll sit in the corner, I'll shut up....:D

Agressive negotiations, huh?
Yes, Craig likes to argue, but Rhi likes to think she is always right(and I'm shure she will tell me so). Humbleness isn't a bad trait you know.

*is really surprised when it actually blows up!!!*

Rhiannon
08-18-2003, 08:31 PM
Rhi knows she is always, right, with a very few exceptions (it's "Death, thou shalt die", not "Death, thou too shalt die" like I thought it was).

I can be plenty humble. Just not when I'm right.

Dragon

I thought I was wrong once, but then I found out I was wrong, and therefore right all along.

What is the death talk?

Rhiannon
08-19-2003, 05:23 PM
John Donne.

DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,
For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleepe, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee doe goe,
Rest of their bones, and soules deliverie.
Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,
And poppie, or charmes can make us sleepe as well,
And better then thy stroake; why swell'st thou then;
One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.

Oh here, there. Been busy with work and whatnot, it's been crazy. Well, no one's right all the time; if she had said she's MOSTLY right, that may have been more correct, I'm not certain, having not studied the character of Miss Rhiannon Charis lady in depth. I live in Central PA, about thirty miles east of PennState University.

Rhiannon
08-20-2003, 04:35 AM

Kevin Smith = Comic book writer (currently writes for Daredevil), Uber-Geek-King, and maker of such films as Dogma, Chasing Amy, and Bill and Silent Bob Strike Back (every movie has a Star Wars reference). Also creator of the animated series 'Clerks', which only aired two episodes (and they only made six), and all around blasphemous, foul-mouthed, but really funny, really geeky guy.

Outcast type thing done today: Laughing hysterically all through Henry V, even though it is a serious, dramatic, Shakespeare film.

But I have to be thinking about it in order to understand Shakespeare- my sister doesn't, apparently her brain just works the right way or something- so my sister and I paraphrase/translate as we go; ie, Henry's long speech in reply to the insult from the French messenger translates as 'Man, you have really ticked me off. Now go back and tell them we're coming to get you.' This in addition to our usual commentary- 'Ooh, dirty people. Ugly nose. Okay, moving on...'

We stopped laughing during the battle scene, though. Man, that was one intense battle scene. It was less flashy than, and I think had more real oomph than, the major battles scenes in 'Braveheart'.

We also gave names to the French officials- Iguana, Spock, Beaver (the prince), and Zombie/Dead Guy.

Ah. I got it. So people can't be happy with what they have because the fun of being unnatural is just too much to pass up. Sounds crazy to me, but oh well. Why waste money? It's fun? Craziness. I know it's really popular 2 get blond highlights here, something that I will never need nor want 2 do:rolleyes: :o I like subtle(-ish) hair dying, I want a bright blue streak in the front, and that's it, nuffin else... but yeah....

I told mom and she's like "oh, u can do that w/ food dye" this really suprised me, bc I would have thought if I told her I wanted 2 do something like that she'd say no, not under any circumstances, but woa! she prolly only said that bc it's very temporary...urgh:rolleyes:

thing not done but wanting 2 do:

I wanna stay inside a lot for a really long time so I can get my orange-ey-ish-ness back. I don't want blond!!!!!!!!!! I want blond 2 go away!!!!!!!!! I didn't ask for it, y must it b here!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? well, it is a very nice, shimmery, goldenish, shiny, bootyful shade of blond, but still. blond bad! me want orange back!

*rolls eyes* Don't worry about it, Yay. We won't tell you about our clothes, either.

Blonde highlights are big here, too. All these girls look like racoons. They aren't natural looking highlights.

I liked having (subtle) highlights in my hair, because I have natural highlights, but they don't come out because I don't get a lot of sun, and without them my hair is an oh-so-lovely dishwater blonde. Yick.

Mostly I agree that natural is best... I say no to makeup, styling my hair, and wearing uncomfortable "fashionable" clothing. But I must say, hair-dying is kinda fun. Once I tried to dye my hair purple, but I have brown hair so it just ended up with subtle dark highlights. It was neat.

Yeah, you could say that Yay, but it IS their cash, isn't it? I got my hair streaked with copper highlights two months ago, just for the heck of it. It's my hard earned money that I waitress for, I run my bank accounts, so I do believe I can decide how to spend my own money when I want to experiment. Same with the other girls here. Why should we let what your idea(or anyone's idea) of popularity decides to dictate whether we want to mess with our hair? This isn't about that; this is an example of 'Yay completely not getting why people do this", also known as an issue of Yay saying 'Outcasts Against Everything Yay Thinks Is 'Evilly Popular'."

I've had reddish highlights in my hair for awhile. You can't really tell unless you know what you're looking for though. Kohaku! Jam! Where have you two BEEN? *Attacks with huggling*

Hmm. I think streaks are cool if they're done right. But I don't think I'd ever do it to my own hair. I like my hair fine, and I'd be afraid of screwing something up and not being able to fix it.

Outcast Type Things Done. Hmm again. Well, my bottles have accumulated to the point where I can no longer keep track of them anymore. I think I'm almost to 80...or maybe past 80. Heh. People at school who didn't even know me last year are bringing me bottles...even if they don't know my name, they know me as "The Crazy Bottle Girl".:D

Also: The school security guards are onto me. *Looks around, paranoid*. I know they're watching me...they've posted security guards right by the stair rails. Just waiting to catch me when I succumb to the temptation to slide down. Naturally, that just means that I have to be more cautious about my rail-sliding habits. Give it up completely? That's just absurd. :D

That's awesome, Jam. :) I love to sing...but I'd be really embarrassed to sing in front of a lot of people if it wasn't in a show or something. So now I only have one bottle left...a really cute mini-water bottle (if a bottle has the ability to be cute) that I couldn't bring myself to recycle...so I'm keeping it in my bedroom as kind of a momento of my first pack of bottles. I know, Jam...*sniff*...I know. But their time had come...*nods solemnly*...they were ready to go.

Oh yes...and speaking of my bottles...new Outcast-Type Thing Done ---> Today I probably broke a record of most bottles collected in one day. I started out with about five walking from lunch to math - I always get lots of bottles during lunch because everyone is too lazy to get up and throw their trash away, so they just give it to me.:) So I walked into English with three bottles in my arms and two in my backpack...and a handful of people noticed and asked about it, so I told them about my little collection...and by the time I left English, I had six more bottles, putting me at eleven. It's surprising how lazy people can be. And how many questions they can ask to a simple question like, "Can I have that bottle when you're done with it?" And then in Spanish there was a bottle waiting for me on my desk (one of my friends in that class always leaves one for me :)), so that inspired more questions, and after that class I had accumulated three more bottles - for a grand total of 14 at the end of the day. :D And add that to the nine I already had at home - and you get 23! Yay! (A whole $1.15!:D)

This was a huge conspiracy/joke earlier this year- since Tal and Lomie are seriously attached, I was feeling sort out left out, so I started wondering about whether it were possible for find a guy that a could theoretically form an attachment to (who wasn't related to me).

All my friends were looking for me. We never did find anyone. This might be due to the fact that I can count the unattached guys I know on one hand-

Eli: too old, even though he does read Jane Austen. Also he's around my sister a lot more than he is me.

Chris: cousin of my good friend, but...well, no. No chance.

Quest: technically he's not attached, but he's in love with my close friend- the one Chris is the cousin of. Also he's four inches shorter than I am.

And that's it. Good thing I'm not seriously looking right now.

It's ok Rhi one day....one day....

And what does being shorter have to do with anything?
*Thinks Rhi might need to get out more to meet new guys*
Church might be a good place to start looking some of the guys might have their heads on straight. Here (http://www.marklowry.com/outside/funnies/pick_up_lines.htm) are some pick up lines that might work. I dunno I've never tried them.

And Bran you can't do anything about it: you're too teddy-bearish

I wouldn't know about that. I'll have to ask my girlfriend...

Tal I think your teddy bear isn't much of a teddy just more of a bear.

Oh yes-

Outcast Type Thing Done: On Thursday I wore my medieval boots to school, just because I could (Mom wasn't around to sigh and groan at me). These are my black suede lace up knee high boots, and I wore them with a black shirt and a khaki skirt.

Nobody really seemed to notice, though; and they were fun to wear. I felt so cool.

And here's the best part...for some reason unknown to me, my grandmother subscribed to Vogue. She can't have ever looked at it before, because my grandmother is a Southern Lady Baptist Sings in the Choir Gets Her Hair Done Once a Week and Always Eats at Caroline's Country Cafe sort of person. So she gets Vogue, but doesn't read it, so that's what I do to entertain myself when I'm at her house.

And guess what was in the Sept. issue? (aside from big Mongolian fur hats)

Yup. Knee high suede boots, khaki skirt, black shirt. All much more expensive and rather uglier and weirder than mine, but still.

Kailita

Cheers for medieval boots! :D Don't worry about finding your true love, Rhian, you already have...your bootses. :)

Freshmen at my school seem to find it funny that I slide down the stair rails. I mean...I guess I can see why...but no one last year ever seemed to find it funny. And all the sophomores are so used to seeing me do it that they just think it's natural. But every time I slide down these days, the freshmen giggle or stare or treat it like some big thing. And it's really not. It's just fun. :) It would only be a big thing if I got caught again...which I will, if they don't all shut up and stop drawing attention. I've timed myself so that I slide down at the exact same time that the especially nasty security guard takes his shift on the balcony...which means he can't see me. :D But still...too much giggling would draw his attention, and that would definitely be a bad thing.

Outcast type things done today (oh boy!):

1) skipped down the main aisles of Wal-Mart humming 'Rule Britannia' loudly

2) attempted to teach my sister to waltz in the Barbie aisle (appropriate place, neh?)

3) attempted to teach my brother to waltz in the Barbie aisle with resulted in

4) chasing my brother around the toy department saying 'Aw, I only wanna dance wif you a widdle bit!' and shouting 'Chase scene in progress!' whenever we went past people.

5) pushing the cart for my mother while doing my Igor impression, dragging one foot, and saying 'Yeth, Mathter'

6) getting a running start, then standing on the cart and riding it down the main aisle shouting 'Ware!' at people who got in my way

7) letting my brother get a running start and stand on the cart riding it down the aisle while shouting 'Ware!' at people who got in his way and yelling 'Hold!' at him

8) led my sister across the store at a cracking pace while humming 'Rule Britannia' loudly, and shouting 'Hold!' when I wanted her to stop and shouting 'Hard port!' when I wanted her to go left.

9) attempted to teach my sister to do the can-can in the flour aisle

10) attempted to teach my sister the tango in the purse aisle

And I got gel pens, and I am seriously considering buying a pair of suede patchwork brown boots. I'll get them if they're still there tomorrow and I don't see any I like better at Payless.

Outcast Things Done-Um, well in chemistry class on Tuesday my writing buddy and I laughed out loud right in the middle of class for apparently no reason, at least none that the others could see. In fact, we were studying the periodic table and I had just realized that 'Argon'(a gas) is also the name of a little-known brother of Fingon and Turgon who died in the Crossing of the Helcaraxë(at least, he's there in an early draft that I read). For some reason this seemed hilarious to us and we couldn't help the hysterical laughter. :D

Outcast thing-well, I dunno if this is truly outcasty, but I've taken to staring off into space at the oddest things lately. It's intentional, you see whenever inspiration hits me(as it's been doing with alarming frequency), I tend to just space out until I have something I can use(that's the part where you lunge for the notebook and write like there's no tomorrow). Now I've decided that if I'm going to space out, I'm going to space out in an interesting way, so I've taking to staring at heating vents, a corner of the ceiling, the handle of a cabinet-it's great fun to see people sort of look where you're looking, to try and see what the heck is so fascinating about a piece of lint.:D

Numbers, potatoes, monkeys, your mom, and random answers = lots of confusion, lots of fun. :D Personally, I have a proclivity towards the random answer of "puppy biscuits", but that's just me.

Staring off into space is one of my characteristic-Kailita-things, so I know how that is. ;) Thinking is important. But it's funny how it can change your facial expressions. A lot of times when I get an inspiration for a story that I'm writing, I start mouthing the dialogue...and my expressions change according to the character speaking...it's a little disconcerting when people catch me in the middle of that.

I do both. :) Unfortunately, when I talk to myself I'm very clear - as opposed to mumbling or murmuring - so when people catch me at it, they know just what I'm thinking. But I do wander aimlessly quite a bit, especially when I'm pondering...

Me too! Especially when I'm listening to music with headphones on, I start having bizarre conversation with myself. It creeps people out :D

Here's a kind of outcasty thing: I'm a lot like the author of Eregon- you may have seen it, fantasy novel by a teenager, there was a good bit of marketing based on that. I haven't read it, but this New York Times article (http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/07/books/07DRAG.html) from the other day made me sit up and take notice; I'll have to read it now, because this kid sounds scarily like a slightly more extreme version of me.

He loves Wagner and holds forth learnedly on the "Ring" cycle. His agent's idea of a publication present was a recording of the entire "Ring." He keeps Seamus Heaney's translation of "Beowulf" by his bed.
Love that Ride of the Valkyries. We have a graphic novel of the first part of the Ring cycle. I know everything there is to know about Seigfried and Brunhild. I haven't managed Beowulf yet, but I've read parts of it.

Despite his lack of formal schooling he invented three languages for his characters of dwarves, elves and humanoids, some based on Old Norse, some from scratch.
A pause to say BAH to the writer of the article. "Despite" indeed. How about 'because of', hm?

The story of the title character, Eragon, who has a mysterious parentage and wields a magic sword, was inspired, he said, by "Le Morte d'Arthur," "Beowulf," Norse and Icelandic sagas, the "Ring" cycle and the fantasy books he loves: Bruce Coville's "Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher," about a boy who buys an egg that hatches into a dragon; "The Worm Ouroboros," by Eric Rucker Eddison; and the "Dragonriders of Pern" series by Anne McCaffrey.
Someone else in the world knows and loves Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher!!!! I checked that book out every week from when I was 10 to 13. I read Le Morte d'Arthur back then too (don't care for Mallory so much, though- like White). I memorized a book my brother checked out about Norse mythology when I was eight (the illustration of Hel was deliciously creepy). I have Eddison's Zimiamvia trilogy in the bathroom ready to be read.

Meanwhile, they home-schooled Christopher and Angela, because, they said, the children were precocious and worried that they would feel out out of place in a formal school. Kenneth Paolini said he wanted them to have time "to watch the clouds, to have thinking space."
...thank you, that is what homeschooling is all about.

When Christopher became interested in pirates, "I made a pirate map," he said, "and soaked it in tea and singed the edges so it looked like a real pirate map."
...mine caught fire. Go figure.

He said he had read more than 3,000 books but knows "nothing about math."
I'm in love.

mmm.... I don't look at things, I look past things, or don't really look at all, I do the whole glassy eyed, zoning out thing, and I zone out a lot. I zone out in the middle of my sentences sometimes, it's just not normal...

type thing done--> due to my total lack of gore-withstanding-ness, I went to a movie the other day which I just didn't want to watch, there was a needle, and there was *shudders* cartoon gore. that's the worst ever... anyways, since I didn't think it wise to stay in the movie theatre, I sat outsied in the hall, crosslegged, w/ my eyes almost closed, so close it must have looked like they were, because t3 teenage boys decided to come running at me from the side, and I guess it kinda surprised them when I opened my eyes really fast, and my head snapped around to look at them properly... they're eyes got really wide and they ran away... I later heard them saying to eachother "man, how did she do that?"

thus the reason y I never completely close my eyes when meditating, or waiting for sum1/sumthing. you never know when some stupid ppl are gonna decide to mess with you.

...and, it provides much entertainment when they don't expect you to know they're coming:D :D :D

Talierin: yo
Quest: Hello
Quest: *is shy*
Rhiannon: Katy, Quest, Quest, Katy
Rhiannon: *coughs*
Rhiannon: *unrolls large official scroll thingy*
Talierin: nice to meet you :)
Quest: Pleasure is mine dear
Rhiannon: Hear ye, hear ye! We are come forth on this day...er, night...no, day...To see the knighting of this noble sir! *waves hand at Quest*
Talierin: *claps*
Quest: *steps foward a bit flushed*
Rhiannon: *puts down scroll and realizes she is still attired in jeans* Oops... *gestures and is now wearing a brilliant blue gown, laced in front, with dagged sleeves*
Rhiannon: Much better!
Talierin: *snaps her fingers and is now attired in official-looking robes*
Quest: *looks at own Jeans* yikes this isnt proper
Quest: *snaps fingers and is in PJs*
Quest: Shoot
Rhiannon: Here...
Rhiannon: *waves hand and attires Quest in suitably opaque black leggings, tall black boots, and white tunic*
Quest: Thank you dear, Ive been meaning to get that fixed
Quest: Oo I like this
Rhiannon: My pleasure. Where was I?
Quest: Sorry Carry on
Quest: Um the scrolll
Rhiannon: Ah yes. Quest, come forward! *stands tall and official like*
Quest: *steps foward*
Quest: *glances at Talierin and pushes fingers up from side for a quick wave*
Quest: *smiles*
Rhiannon: Do you, sir, come before these representatives of the Three Sisters in good faith, with a true heart, and of your own will?
Quest: I do
Talierin: *smartly salutes*
Rhiannon: Do you come prepared to swear yourself to knightly service? To give yourself to the code of chivalry? And to be bound by such oaths as I shall give you?
Quest: Whole heartedly, I do
Rhiannon: *smiles* Then kneel, good sir
Talierin: *nods approvingly from the audience*
Quest: *kneels and looks to ground*
Rhiannon: Give me your hands, my lord
Quest: *exstends hands*
Rhiannon: *arranges Quest's hands so that they are back-to-back and places her palms over his*
Quest: *feels a bit dumb but keeps a straight face through it all*
Rhiannon: Now answer me 'aye' or 'nay', sir, e'n I question you
Quest: *nods*
Rhiannon: Do you vow to respect the weak and the helpless, and make yourself their defender?
Quest: aye
Rhiannon: Do you vow that thou shall never lie, that you will live your life in honour, and that your pledged word shall be your bond, and that of your house?
Quest: aye*nods in agreance*
Rhiannon: Do you vow to treat all ladies and members of the gentle sex with honour and respect, to value and cherish them, and make yourself their defender in need?
Quest: Aye Milday Aye
Rhiannon: Do you vow to give your earthly allegience to your liege lord (or ladies), to do as they bid (in that it does not conflict with the teachings of Our Lord), and to be their vassal in good faith?
Quest: aye
Rhiannon: Then do you vow to live your life in Truth, Honour, Loyalty, and Courtesy, that you shall in every place and time always be the champion of Right and Good, and the foe of Evil and Injustice?
Quest: Aye
Rhiannon: Then *Kat releases Quest's hands and takes up a long, slender, gold-hilted sword and lays the flat of the blade upon Quest's shoulder*
Rhiannon: By the power vested in me as the Eldest of the Three, the Wyrd, the Fates, and in my own right as High Queen of Tithia, and Ruler of the Isle of Book-End..
Rhiannon: I dub thee Sir Quest *she touches the blade to his left shoulder* Defender of the Helpless, Protector of the Weak, Vassal of the Three Sisters, *she touches his right shoulder again* And most gentile parfit knight.
Rhiannon: *Kat sets the sword point down in front of her* Rise, Sir Quest!
Quest: *bows head in one last act of repect to Her majesty*
Quest: *rises to see her face to face*
Talierin: *walks up and wacks Sir Quest on the shoulder* Be thou a good knight
Rhiannon: *curtsies to Katy* Thank you for being a most excellent witness, milady, and for delivering the knightly blow
Quest: I will Do All i can to be that great knight

Rhiannon

...my first and shortest knighting ceremony. The second time we knighted Quest (when more of the Sisters were present) was a long, complicated affair, because we ended up simultaniously designing our coats of arms; it's in my livejournal here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/charismitaine/45849.html#cutid1)

Tonight's ceremony wasn't as elaborate as that one because people kept LEAVING- by the time I got to the accolade bit it was just me and Denzi, plus Kay and Syf who showed up late. Rhiannon loves pomp and ceremony!

And an outcast type thing not related to smacking people with imaginary swords...

I just spend an hour or so playing with wax. In case anyone ever wondered, the best way to seal a letter is to fold it sharply so it lies as flat as possible, and hold a crayon three or so inches above it, torch the crayon but take the heat away as soon as one drop of wax falls otherwise you get to much (and if you hold it too close it doesn't spread out enough and is too thick). Wait until it just barely loses the 'wet shiny' look, and then press the stamp in lightly and lift away (careful not to smudge). Ta-da!

Talierin
10-13-2003, 10:44 AM
Or just buy sealing wax (they come in convienent little disks), place it where you want it, heat it with a hairdryer until slightly melty, and then press your stamp into it

One outcast type thing to do is to go to a totally retarded movie(like harry potter or agent cody banks 2) and stand up and yell 'Hey could you shut up your dog', then someone else(one of your friends) in the opposite side of the theatre will stand up and say 'hey why don't you shut up your dog', the first person yells 'I don't have a dog, and if I did, I wouldn't bring it to the theatre', person 2 yells 'well excuse me for breathing, I'll be sure not to let a pin drop'. I plan on doing this soon. :D

hmm... today at an assembly, me and the girl next to me were making paper boats, and we were talking about making an armada of paper boats.
the boy on the other side of me told me I was weird. I said "well, I already knew that, tell me something I don't know." then we started talking about paper boats and the like again, and I looked back at him and he was still staring at me, so I said "what's so bad about being weird?" he looks speechless for a minute and says"...it's.... weird..." nancy (the girl on the other side of me) said "well, you're weird" and he says "no I'm not!"

I laughed at him. after all, everyone is weird to someone. some just more than others.

Um...so...I watched The Ring the other night...and in the end when the couple is back in the cabin where Naomi first watched the video...Snaga called....and the phone ringing FREAKED me and my dad out...and so...yeah...we jumped...HIGH.

Then I couldn't go to sleep that night, so I listened to a show on the radio about the paranormal...and got MORE scared.

So I called up Johndor at like 3am to get him to talk to me so I wouldn't be scared and BOY was he mad. :)

Ahh, me neither. I once watched the movie Donnie Darko (any of you seen it?) and was scarred for life. I'm paranoid because of it. I'm getting freaked out right now just thinking about it..

Yeahh.. scary movies are definately not for me.

Isn't Donnie Darko about a guy who sees a possesed giant bunny, or something along those lines? I started cracking up when I saw the previews.

My brother and I can sit through any scary movie. They just don't affect us. the only thing that really "scares" me is when some loud noise or unexpected jump happens all of a sudden. The so called creepy things are usually funny to us. Hey, I am an outcast.

Yeah, sort of. It wasn't funny, it was scary. Very scary. I was severely traumatized. This is why I don't watch scary movies.

I wish I had that outcast quality. I am so easily scared. Yet I'm strangely attracted to scary movies. I never see them, because I know I can't handle that...but I always ask people who have seen them to tell me the plot lines and suspense stuff, so I can know how the movie turned out without seeing it. And even then the images that I make up in my head for the movie freak me out at night. *Shakes head at self* I'm such a wimp. I only saw a couple previews for the movie Gothika, but I can't stand looking at condensation on the mirror anymore. And I'd never be able to watch Psycho, otherwise I'd never take a shower again.

Aww, there's no shame in that Kai. I'm not a fan of scary things meself, doesn't seem particularly brilliant to go someplace just to be frightened. The only stuff like that I love is Hitchcock, Hitchcock is marvelous. Except for The Birds, that was by far the funniest and stupidest movie I've ever seen. As if birds would be that open about their plans for world conquest! Hah!

Outcast Thing Done: I have taken to singing Weird Al at the top of my lungs when I'm running the vacuum cleaner at work. Spooks people out, because they can only hear bits and pieces of the lyrics. Huzzah, the outcast singer lives on! :D

well, today, me and another girl were walking around the halls singing L-O-V-E really loud all day long.

no, this had nothing to do w/ valentines day. I am trying to ignore valentines day. it is not working.I will try harder.

Hurray for Outcast singers! :)

Ah yes...and Happy Evil Black Death Day to you all. *Smiles serenely*. I have two dates this year. Their names are Ben and Jerry. The three of us go way back. :D I believe I will be having a customary Evil Black Death Day...going to the mall, buying ice cream, candy, and Mrs. Field's cookies, and enjoying the ABCDS (Anguish, Bitterness, Cynicism, and Depression) of loneliness, while scoffing appropriately at the displays of mushy affection between twitter-hearted couples. ;) Of course, the only reason the mall is involved in any of this is because Skillet and Bleach are going to be playing there, which will greatly improve my Evil Black Death Day. :D Normally I celebrate this morbid holiday with one of my best girl friends, who usually tends to be single around this time of year - but she had to screw things up and end up with a boyfriend, so it will probably be a bit different. :o She promised to come by and share my pain (and my cookies), though. ;)

And then, the day after EBDD, is my birthday! :D

I hate Valentine's Day, of course, but this one isn't going to be so bad. I'm going to make yummy cupcakes for my family and then we're going over my grandparents' house for the day to celebrate their anniversary and my aunt and grandpa's birthdays. Later tonight I'll just be baby-sitting, which I don't mind. Mostly I'm just trying not to let this evil holiday get to me. And happy almost-birthday, Kailita!! :)

Today is definitely the day to go out and do something Outcasty...but I'm too lazy. I'm at home, in pajamas, working on my writing project, while Mom makes the traditional eclairs and I plot for my anti-Valentine's Day Party for One on Monday (rent movies, buy on-sale chocolate....mmmm....)

Happy birthday, Kaia! *hug-squish*

on valentines I stayed at home on the computer all day, and completely forgot that it was valentines day

that was a nice feeling.

Ah yes...hurray for completely avoiding Evil Black Death Day. :)

*Gasp* Jam changed her avatar...can it be? (Nice touch, though. ;)) How'd things go with the chiropractor?

And - *gasp* again! - I'm sixteen! It's so strange. Sixteen. That's when stuff happens; when you're a little girl and you play house, you always make the older sister sixteen, because that's when you can do stuff. Like drive. And date. But I still don't have my permit (darn the California DMV). And - ha - me...dating...what a laugh. :D I don't exactly have guys lining up at the door. So nothing really changes. But still...it's weird. Sixteen.

Umm...Outcasty stuff...well, I recycled 300-something bottles this weekend. :) And I was counting up my bottle money yesterday...and, thus far, I have made $120! Not bad for taking the trouble to recycle other people's trash. :D

Huzzah for Kai! Happy birthday girl! Yeah, sixteen is that scary age, driver's license, first job, all that crazy stuff. Must be one of the reasons I wanted to skip straight to seventeen. ;) Ah well, I still need to test for my license, hopefully I'll be better by mid-March. Mom wants me to start carting my older brother around, she doesn't trust him driving.

Yep, Jam changed her avatar AND her signature! I was feeling bored one day, decided a change was in order.

Oh my goodness, I don't know if I'll be able to handle this much change!

And I got my permit! :) I missed six...the most you can miss is eight. So now I'm driving up and down the driveway and in parking lots. What funness. My mom: "Okay, turn now. Ease on the brakes. A little more...brakes...brakes. Brakes!" :D I was born to drive.

I just have a funny/strange story I feel the need to share..

I have a cute little hamster, and usually I let him out of his cage at night to run around my room because I can hardly stand keeping him in a cage all night (hamsters being nocturnal). But the other night I woke up and heard him gnawing on something.. and found that he was in my wall. He had chewed a hole in the floor in a corner of my closet. (Hamsters are true escape artists, apparently my bedroom wasn't big enough for him.) I was very worried, thinking he might be stuck in there, so I went down to the kitchen and got some fruit to put by the hole, thinking I might lure him out with the smell of it. When I got back to my room I found he had crawled into his cage and was already asleep. I could not believe it and I'd probably think I was crazy except for the hole in my floor.

Having had three hamsters previously, I've experienced their funny cleverness many times.. but this one definately tops them all. (In case you were worrying- I haven't let him out of his cage without keeping an eye on him since this happened, for fear of losing him inside my wall- which would be devastating.)

Is that crazy or what??

PS- Congrats on getting your permit, Kailita! ;) :)
