And I got my permit! :) I missed six...the most you can miss is eight. So now I'm driving up and down the driveway and in parking lots. What funness. My mom: "Okay, turn now. Ease on the brakes. A little more...brakes...brakes. Brakes!" :D I was born to drive.

Huzzah! *major applause for Kai* LOL, I think that's the universal mantra of the Nervous Parent Teaching Driving. Although my Mom also included the words 'look out for the Amish buggies'. Ahhh, life in ruralville. ;)

Amish buggies! :D Oh Jam...you must have a heck of a time... :D

And hamsters! How cute! Oh, I always wanted a hamster. My friend has one named Jack the Ripper...but he's very fat and very harmless. ;) He certainly never does fun things like eating his way into walls. What's your hamster named, Niirewen?

Outcast Type Things Done. Well, today was a pep rally...the first unmandatory one we've had in a long time...huzzah! It's been battle of the genders week, and today was supposed to be the climax: girls wear pink, guys wear blue. :o Pink. Pink. Now come on, do they really expect me - especially with my red hair - to wear a horrid color like pink? Posh. Some of my anti-social girl friends wore blue to boycott. One of my guy friends dyed his hair pink and wore a neon pink shirt...it was great. I wore yellow. :D

What's your hamster named, Niirewen?
His name is Scruffy. :D

Well, today was a pep rally...the first unmandatory one we've had in a long time
Ack, pep rallies are the epitome of evilness.. the ones at my school are never not mandatory. :(

Genders Week????

EW!!!

That is...totally....

No wonder "normal" people are so warped. I'm glad we're all nice and outcasty in here. *deeply weirded out by the mental and emotional ramifications as something as stupid as 'genders week'* Are they trying to make y'all sexist, or what?

So today during lunch I was eating outside by myself.. and a few interesting guys came over to sit with me. They're not like anyone I know, but they were really nice. Sometimes it bothers me that people think there's something wrong with sitting by yourself, but I know they had good intentions in mind, and they were very sweet to me, even though they're probably the extreme opposite of me.

girls wear pink, guys wear blue. :o Pink. Pink.

Ugh!! If I had to wear pink I would barf!! I only own 2 pink articles of clothing.....I only bought them 'cause they didn't have any other colors of those designs in my size....

Rhiannon

Oooh, Niri! Were any of them cute? ;) :p

I have one pink shirt. It's a very light pink, and is actually pretty flattering on me.

I only own 2 pieces of pink clothing as well...and both of them I bought within the past month. I think it's a sign that I'm mentally disturbed. But both of them are really cute so I guess that's okay....maybe  :D

Niirewen

Oooh, Niri! Were any of them cute?
Ha ha.. Let's just say they weren't my type.. ;)

Hmm.. pink is definately not my color. Although I do have a really pretty pink skirt that I wear to church sometimes.. actually I wore it today..

Outcast Thing Done: went walking down the back alleyways, first I was strolling, then I started spinning in circles, then it was all-out dancing and just plain weirdness because I thought no one was around and I was just in a good mood. Then later I realized that the few houses back there have people who have nothing better to do than stare out their windows. Hope they enjoyed the strangeness. :D

Kailita

Ah! Jam, that happens to me all the time! :D I go walking when I need to breathe and get away from the house, and to get to my favorite hideaway I have to go through somebody's really big backlot. (Nobody's gotten on me for trespassing yet...;)) So I'll skip down and dance and sing with my headphones on...and then I'll catch people in the windows turning away and pretending like they didn't see me. :D It's great fun.

Okay, so...I have something to confess. I broke my vow of anti-socialness. I went to...the Sadie's dance. *Cringe* All by myself, though. Or, not with a partner, anyway. I actually went with a group. And it wasn't really because I especially wanted to go. It was more to get one of my friends off my back (she really wanted me to go) and get out of any other dances in the future. (She said that if I go to this dance and didn't like it, then she won't bother me about any other dances in the future...except for prom. She really wants me to go to senior prom. Meh. I think we should have an anti-prom junior year...) Well...yeah. Basically, it was horrible. The theme was *shudder* 80s. That should have tipped me off from the beginning. Bad hair, bad clothes. Excrutiatingly bad music. And all they played that was modern was trash like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera...or **** with the silent c. (;))

So (this is where the Outcast-Things Done part comes in ;)), I spent most of my time outside. They were giving out free water bottles. And...well...you would never believe how many people just leave their empty bottles lying around...;) I couldn't help myself. I started collecting the bottles and taking them to the ladies in the back, who held things like purses and shoes that the girls didn't want to carry. The first bottle was taken with a polite smile. The second and third were taken with a nod and a curious look. By the time I got to the seventh bottle, the ladies were grinning and had memorized my bag number. Later on during the night, the shift changed and different ladies came to deal with the bags. When I came up with another bottle and told the new lady my bag number, she walked over, looked inside, then looked up at me with a  expression. :D That was fun.

And then I went Loner and did some aimless wandering. That was fun, too. One of my friends tied a balloon around my wrist so she could find me, because I have a habit of getting lost in crowds (despite my red hair).

So yeah. Some good did come out of it. I was reminded why I'm anti-social in the first place. And I got 27 bottles. :D

Rhiannon

Hee! Go Kaia! Yay for collecting bottles and being anti-social!

I'd be willing to go to a prom, if I had one to go to. The point, after all, is to wear a pretty dress. No matter what anyone says, there is no other point to going to a high school dance except for wearing a pretty dress. ;)

Niirewen

Prom. *sigh* My prom is next weekend... I'm not going (big surprise). And my mom won't stop harassing me for not wanting to go. The only dance I think I've been to was homecoming my freshman year.. it was not fun. Dances aren't my type of thing. But my friend is going to wear my shoes..

Yes, proms, another good reason why I'm glad I work at home.... :o

So yesterday at my friend's house we had a grape seed-spitting contest after eating fake bacon and talking about fruit for a half an hour (it's amazing how much time we spend eating food or talking about it). One of my friends hasn't ever eaten blueberries, raspberries, or kiwi! Anyway, I unfortunately lost the contest, because my spitting accuracy combined with distance isn't up to par (I kept spitting my seed into the wall). Hehe, it was fun though. :D

And I had to type this message three times.. the first time my internet shut down, and then my message decided to randomly delete itself.

Kailita
05-06-2004, 05:16 AM
Ooh, I hate it when that happens.

I think Rhi is right. Prom is pointless besides the pretty dress. So don't feel bad about not going, Niri. Dances aren't really my thing either. Why waste money on a crazy thing like that when you can stay home and keep your money? ;)

Umm. Okay. This is a very Outcasty thing for someone on the Tolkien forum to say...but...*cringes and blurts it out* I'm reading Return of the King for the first time. Yep. The very first time.

I have to admit, I really had to slodge through Fellowship. The first time I tried to read it, I got about half way through the prologue, heh. Then I just skipped the prologue and got on with it about a year later...and even then, I hardly understood anything until they met Strider. And I didn't really start to get into it until the Mines of Moria. I had to take a breather between Fellowship and Towers...but once I started TTT, I found that I enjoyed it more. But it was still a little bit thick for me. I liked it, but it wasn't a style I was used to. So I took another break.

Then I started Return of the King. And fell in love with it within the first few chapters. Faramir...Faramir is so incredibly, amazingly awesome. My gosh, I love him. And Eowyn. She naturally rocks...but she's so much more amazing than even I thought she was. And Merry and Pippin! Poor little hobbits...but so brave! They really prove that they're worth their salt in this one. And Gandalf and his incredible wisdom and power. And Eomer! I was surprised at how much I really liked Eomer. And the description that I once found so thick really struck me as beautiful and awe-inspiring in this book. When Aragorn led the ships to Pellenor Fields...oh. I got chills. I underlined and highlited all kinds of stuff. It has just been...an incredible experience. And it's not even halfway over yet! I'm almost finished with the first half...but then there's still Frodo and Sam to look forward to. And I really am looking forward to it.

HUUUURRRRAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!! *tackles Kaia and huggles all over her* You love RotK! You love RotK! *dances Kaia around the room* Hurrah! I'm so happy! Isn't my Faramir wonderful? Isn't he? Isn't Eowyn awesome? How far have you gotten? Where are you now? *bounces up and down* Yaaaay!!!

Niirewen

Yaay Kaia!!! You make me want to go read it again right now.. :D

*GASP*

Where's our Outcast book thread when I really need it?

I just finished the first book of RotK (which is actually the fifth book of the series). Oh, talk about a cliffhanger! These people are so brave that it's crazy. And...*gasp*...the Mouth of Sauron! Aiieee! Why wasn't that in the movie? (It's in the Game Cube version ;) - but it's much better in the book!) If I was going out to fight a hopeless battle, I would definitely want to have Aragorn and Gandalf on my side. And what happens to poor Pippin? It's made out like he dies. He doesn't die, does he?

Welcome back mr u.
These little punks where annoying us while we where in the mall, so I just got right next to them in the food court and stood there like a retard, just mumbling words under my breath. Untill a hot girl walked by and then I straightened up .

...just to follow up...Now we all are speaking spanish and it's sooo funny! :D Love that language! And it's easy to learn too.

They call me burrro blanco. (white goat)

uh...if I'm bored I draw maps of random fantasy worlds

weird stuff-
I refuse to drink orange juice without a straw
I will NOT listen to the baby shark song, no matter how much money they're paying me
I am commonly referred to by my charges (affectionatly, of course) as "the Babysitter from ****
I am double jointed (as in I can put both feet behind my head and bend myself into a petzel)

I frequently go 'ditch-diving' (that is, walk calmly along a stretch of road until a car comes, at which point I let them get a good look at me then dive headfirst into a ditch), as well as just generally being an odd person. ( you name it, I'll probably do it, either as a dare, a bet, or of my own free will)
I also run around wearing capes, etc. freaking people out (either in a store, an apartment building, or on public property)

greypilgrim

I dare you to "walk the fence" as I did when I was a young punk kid.

Just pick any city street, start at one end of the block, and go through people's backyards (the space between the garages), walking on fences, garage roofs, whatever you can just not the ground. This is done at night (obviously).

Another Outcast-type thing I used to do. :o

e.Blackstar
07-13-2004, 01:53 AM
Oooooo...i want to try that.

only a few problems:

my parents would shoot me if they found out
I'd have to sneak out to get there
and...
there are very few neighborhoods here in which there are constant garages

Otherwise, that would be very fun! (I'm sure that FriendLia and I will be able to think of a viable variation)

greypilgrim
07-13-2004, 02:27 AM
whatever...you said to dare you

e.Blackstar
07-13-2004, 03:36 AM
Indeed, Messr. Stormcrow! And i will find some viable way of doing something like that, I promise! hehehe!

There are some really cool outcasty type people at my school, not like the evil gothy people though :p.
Outcasty type thing to do, start a slow clap at the most inappropriate time, of course, to accomplish this, you need other cool outcasty people to join you.

Niirewen
09-04-2004, 04:34 PM
Yay for cool outcasty people!
