... fair share of embarassing momments. Tell us them here so we can laugh at each other's fortune. :)

One moment was when I tried to show my gf that I knew how to skate, but I fell down with my cheek to the floor and hurt myself. It had only been a week since we started dating, and I felt so clumsy and stupid.

Ok...I'll join in the humiliation:

A few years ago, I was walking back to my dormitory with six bags of groceries (three in each hand). I was walking pretty briskly (as most New Yorkers do) and I wasn't really paying attention to where I was stepping. Then without warning, my foot hit a crack in the sidewalk and I tripped. However, when I tried to catch myself, it didn't work because I was weighed down by all the bags of groceries. So I fell face first into the sidewalk (in slow motion no less) *blushes*. When I got up, my glasses were warped, my face was bruised, and my groceries were rolling on the ground in front of me.

Then to make things even worse, a guy who was walking behind me came over and said, "Gee that a really bad fall. Are you all right."

TALK ABOUT HUMILIATING!!!

I was so embarassed, I must have turned 3 shades of red.

Just today I was calling up a turkish girl, a friend of mine...
Someone took up the phone, I heard a voice and thought it would be her mother, asked about my friend, if she would be there, and that we had planned to meet, and so on... and I didn't know I was talking to herself all the time until she began to laugh out loud...

Sometimes I think there must be something with my ears... :p

Well, I managed to reach under a beaker when in chemistry class. You see, I needed to get a pencil to take a note of the reactions of the chemicals in the beakers after heating it. I forget exactly what it was, but there also must've been some residue outside the beaker, not to mention the glass was still hot from the bunsen burner.

So I toasted my arm. The cutest part was even if I was allowed to swear, I kinda really can't, so instead I said a pseudo-swear. I think it was something like "SSSSHHHHHMONKEY!"

Added to the fact that at school I was the walking joke, I, uh, was laughed at for a while. Mostly for the actual burning.

I have had alot of embarrassing moments but here's one of the worst.

I was at one of my first basketball practices and I didn't know anyone else on the team. This one girl leaned over and I ran past her and I ran right into her head. She started crying and ran into the bathroom and didn't come out again till the end of practice. I felt really stupid and no one talked to me for the rest of practice, since she was one of our best players and we had a game the next day.

On a more positive note, she was okay for the game the next day but she had a huge bruise from where my hip hit her in the cheek.

 I understand why the accidents at work figures are increasing...

Well, I have my moments too... last Friday I went to the cinema to watch Harry Potter. I was a bit uncomfortable since I had to sit behind my friends, cause we suddenly had a problem (in the last hours some mates decided to come and it was a real adventure to get tickets for them. In fact I spent the whole day trying to get them). I had an old, frowning father of a child sitting next to me who was sighing with displeasure all the time. In the middle of the film I heard a familiar sound... my phone! (for once I forget to switch it off) It kept ringing and I kept getting redder and redder as I saw my hand was shaking and I couldn't find the darned machine. When I did, it had been ringing for so long people from the rows nearby were looking and it had the maximum volume. The father was sighing more deeply. Off. Then the nightmare kind of ended, but when we got out of the cinema, I hid among my mates so that nobody would tell me off... And I had 10 (ten!!!) missing calls from my mum...
