Hello all,
I would like to invite all members of the Tolkien Forum to add their support to a project getting up and running between The Guild of Ost-in-Edhil and The Tolkien Wiki. You can read further info on the initial discussions here (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7529) , read the Wiki-OiE FAQ (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7611) and should you wish to add your name to the list, please reply here (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7610).
All are welcome to add to this project, the more the merrier. Also, for more information you can visit The TolkienWiki (http://www.thetolkienwiki.org/wiki.cgi) and learn more about the knowledgebase that Walter and others have been diligently working on.
One other point I have considered; as you may be aware The Guild of Ost-in-Edhil has an entry requirement that suggests new members ought to be 30+ years old to join. However, a number of members both in the past and recently have questioned this requirement and consider it discriminatory. Therefore, I have decided to remove the age requirement altogether and open membership up to all members of the forum. If you are interested in joining, please submit your request to The Members List (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4593). Alternatively, you can PM me if you have any questions;) Either way, you do not need to be a member to join in the project, just bring plenty of ideas and a desire to research:)
