Aragorn's signature move

Has anyone besides Aragorn killed a foe by beheading him? Ugluk's head was on a pike but that could've been severed post-mortem.

Aragorn beheaded a Moria orc, Lurtz, one of the Warg riders, and one Uruk-Hai at Helm's Deep. He's pretty into that particular maneuver and I commend him for it. Shows he means business. Hopefully any additional beheadings in the R-rated TTT EE will be performed with the surgical precision of Dr. Aragorn.

I don't think so. Its cool that he beheads them actually. I agree. he does mean buisness. don't know if that means anything to you.

I think I saw someone else beheading an orc at Helm's Deep though it may have been Aragorn I can't recall exactly. Gimli has the trademark move though of chopping off shins.

Well actually who else could do it thats a major character? Gimli cant reach that high. Legolas uses a bow or knives which arent too good for that sort of thing. Eomer uses a spear whenever you see him. The only two people that really used a sword like Aragorn were Bormir and Theoden neither of whom fought very much.

One breast would have meant an R rating.

By the way, the EE of FOTR is still PG-13, so I would expect the EE of TTT to be the same. After all, what is one more decapitation to the ratings board.

I know PJ has said it may get an R rating, but New Line may fear loss of sales.

On my last viewing I noticed that Aragorn beheads not one, but two Uruk-Hai at Helm's Deep! The first is either on the wall or near the breach of the wall (can't remember), the other one is in front of the gate on the causeway. Add to that the Warg rider, Lurtz and the Moria orc and he's got a tally of 5 beheadings. Keep 'em coming Aragorn!

btw - he also should've had one in the added battle scenes of FOTR EE on Amon Hen. He stopped short and just went for the deep throat slit...oh well, I guess you gotta mix it up once in a while.

Boromir decapitated one at the tomb of Balin. It wasn't the best angle, but that orc sure lost his head in the heat of the battle.

well in the FotR EE, when Aragorn beheads Lurtz, it showed that beheading longer than in the regular edition. :D

Obviously I haven't payed close enough attention to the films. But other people have stated that in the films Aragorn is still using his ranger sword and not Anduril. Is that right?

If so, the ranger sword appears to be quite a bit heavier and would surely give it a better beheading capacity. Narsi on the other hand (the same shape as Anduril, right?) is much narrower...it's gonna get harder for the big A to entertain some of you :p

He is Aragorn... he can do it with Andúril too. And it seems he will have too, since it's quite clear that he is wearing Andúril in the ROTK pictures (see the ROTK section).

actually I think that either Èomer or one of the other riders of rohan beheads an orc when they come to helms deep.
Because in the scene in which they ride down the hill and attack them, unless one of the orcs decapitate himself it's eomer who does. You can actually see the head on the left and flying towards the centre of the screen in that shot. very nice..:)
