Bethalarien you have come at the right time for our leader Earendil is awake... nevertheless I do not think you should bother her she needs time to heal.
Earendil
01-27-2003, 08:14 PM
"i'm am fine... thankyou all for your concern" Earendil emerges from the shadows with a smile..."welcome Bethelarien...i have heard of you...i am Earendil also from Rivendell if not for my travels then i would have met you...we of course welcome you to our quest but i warn you it will be very dangerous...you come to us in the heart of the night i think you are tired please take rest..everyone...and i will keep watch...we leave early in the morn and we will reach the mountains of Rhun tomrorow..." and with that Earendil went to her post and too out a dagger and began to carve at a peice of wood...

01-27-2003, 09:14 PM
Lhunsoroniel wove herself a swing out of vines, and sat swinging back and forth, for she wanted to think about the mountains ahead. She could not believe that they were so close to Rhun, so she sat and thought of all of the things the company had been through so far.
Earendil
01-27-2003, 09:45 PM
Earendil sat in silence and just starred up into the moon..."may you return to us soon Glorfindel may you be safe where ever you are..." and she looked again down towards the road behind them...she saw a small bird perched on a small branch next to her...it had a broken wing and she cupped it in her hands. she whispered a spell and inside her hands glowed a blue color and soon she opened her hands and the bird flew swftly away...this she took as a good sign of their quest towards Rhun....
Eirien
01-28-2003, 04:42 AM
Eirien was one of the first to wake the next morning since she had been resting all that time.........it was very early in the morning and the rest of the company was asleep.......Eirien went searching for thin peices of wood to carve more arrows with....................*a couple mins l8er*..............Eirien found a place to sit under the tree Earendil was watching in and started to carve........."look at the sunrise Earendil...isn't it beautiful?....Just think somehwere out there lies Rhun.....over the mountains and across the sea.......I can just imagine how beatuful the water will look when we are sailing across it...." and with that the two elves waited for the rest of the company to awake, Eirien carving and watching the sunrise with Earendil..........
Rasec
01-28-2003, 05:02 AM
Rasec had observed everything the last few days and had been very quiet lately. Glorfindel was his best and oldest friend and he was sad he had to leave once again. But Rasec promised to himself he would not let his friend go back to Valinor ere he could speak with him again.
He had helped to heal Eiren and Earendil as well. His healing power was extraordinary, though he was not so skilled as Glorfindel. While Earendil was fainted with her nightmares, Rasec was the one who guided the company.
- Now it is our time to hurry, companions! - said he, when the two elves were awaken. - For we need to reach Rhûn as soon as possible, and later reach the land on which the Ithryn Luin lies its power. - then he turned to Earendil and spoke with her in a low voice. - I do not understand you, milady. How can we reach Rhûn tomorrow? We have just got out of Dol Guldur, we still have a long way through the lands to the east of the forest. Also, we cannot haste, for the enemy must be watching us. But if you have a great idea of how we can get there, let me know, milady!
Then he mounted on his white horse Gwyndòfir and galloped ahead, and for a moment he looked like the old Master Glorfindel as he shone under the Sun and his brown-golden hair floated with the wind.

"I know I have not been with you for long, but I would think it wise that we make haste. The appearance of airbourne spies is indeed unfortunate, but perhaps it can serve to further hasten our journey. If we take too long, it will only give them more time to prepare against our coming."

With that the whole company shot off racing over hill and dale. Looking back Charmiana wondered if the group would ever be safe. Before they had seen the wachers that place had seemed so tranqquil and quiet...It had felt so safe. This journey would not be one for those easily frightened looking at the members she did not think any of them would be frightened.

OOC: I have a suggestion for some of you, its just this: I see that several when you post are having your characters talk in the first person, and well, it just sounds wierd when some are posting in the first person point of view and others are posting in the third, and the majority of you are posting in the third, so if its not too much trouble I suggest that you all start posting in the third person.

A tall, elf upon a steed of the purest white halted before the company, his Lorien cloak billowing behind him as he rode. The elf was well built and, although his face showed much youth, his darkened eyes betrayed the truth of many ages. It had indeed been many years since he had strayed so far from his Rohan companiaions, however there was a new journey to encounter and as he had bid the plains of the Horse country farewell, woundered if he would ever return. But that was many months behind him and the finding of this company had been the height of immportance. Without dissmounting, the elf looked upon the fellowship he had sought for so long.
"Many set out from Rivendell, amongst you dwelt Glorfindel, yet I do not see him now. Tell me brave elves, where is your great leader?"

He bowed his head slightly towards to other elves, "It also appears there are many ladys' within this quest, but I do not scorn you, my own sister is a ranger so I am aquaintted with the fact you can all fight in battle. But enough of this talk, I am Emoduil, Lord of Mirthdor in Bhar, I am here to help guide you through the East through Rhun. It is possible for me to join you is it not? for you seem to have made good progress alone. If my guidence is not needed that is fine, for there are other matters I must attend to soon and the extra time will give me a good start to Mirkwood."

"I think that we should be more careful Rasec...if friends find us this easily than our enemys can too." Charmiana said to Rasec riding up to speak to him.
Rasec
01-31-2003, 05:12 AM
Rasec listened to Charmiana carefully and responded swiftly.
- No, milady, I can distinguish a friend from an enemy at a glance. I can feel it through their eyes. If somebody lies, I know it. And Emoduil does not lie. He is indeed a noble elf, and he will be of use. Therefore, you need not worry.
Saying that, Rasec galloped towards the new fellow and spoke with him in a clear voice.
- Welcome, Emoduil of Mirthdor, brother of Emowyn. It is with great satisfaction we receive you. You have asked aboutf Glorfindel, and I will give you a just question.
Glorfindel the Golden-Haired no longer exists. He was shot by an enemy's arrow, and he got badly wounded. He then perished and went to the Halls of Valinor and spoke with the Valar, who decided to send him back to Middle-Earth so he could finish to fulfil his task.
But from the Undying Lands he came back differently, for his clothes were not golden, or green, or blue anymore. He now dresses in white, and his hair has gone white, and he appeared to us mounted on his white horse from Valinor. For he is no longer Glorfindel the Golden-Haired. He is Glorfindel the White, and he came back for us at the turn of the tide. Nobody can now judge him in Middle-Earth, for he was judged by the Valar themselves.
Then Rasec looked deeply inside Emoduil's eyes, and he once again was certified that the elf was not an impostor. He also tested Emoduil's resistance at his powerful glance. He resisted for a pretty long time, and Rasec was happy for that.

"hello Emoduil...welcome i am Earendil from Rivendell i am the leader of our quest for now along with Rasec..." Earendil said with a warm smile brushing her long adrk hair from her face because of the strong wind. and then she turned to Rasec "about the mountains of Rhun i just meant that we should reach a distance as such where we can see the great slopes of the Mountains of Rhun...but i also understand that where ever we get will be farther than where we were at but we should make haste and not waste time..." and with that Earendil smiled with excitedness, something she hasn't been able to do lately....and with that she set off at a great gallop...and the rest of teh group followed her in the same manner...
Rasec
01-31-2003, 06:15 AM
Rasec was riding beside the new member of the company. Once he had forgotten to introduce himself before, he did it while they rode.
- You do not yet know who I am. Let me tell you, shall I? I am Rasec Geäthryn, the Elf-Human. I am also called the Dawnstar, for my hair has the same colour as the pale light of the dawn.
They talked graciously as they rode, side by side, for a long time, until night came.

As the night fell and yet the group rode onwards, the stars came out. Their beauty from above was as delightful as always. Isal answered to Bethelarien "No, I do not know this newcomer... but I am not anxious about their presence. If Rasec says it is ok, that it is ok. He has been a trusted leader for long now, and he always knows best."
Once he had reassured Bethelarien he felt as he had often felt before... he was glad to have her company. He had missed her a great deal of old and throughout his travels of the world, and he was so happy to be close to her again.
"Bethelarian," he whispered. "Do you remember that we always used to sing? Well now is not the time to tell you of my travels and my quest, but I wish to sing to you my favourite song... one I composed myself, but I did so from scraps and echos of an older, infinitely greater song. This is but a tribute, but I love it. May I sing?"
As the party rode onwards through the darkness, Isal took his lute from his back. Riding behind Bethelarian on Asfarona, he began to play and to sing. His music went out through the night, lightening the hearts of all good elves who heard it and casting a shadow of terror on all evil.

OOC: I'm no longer part of either RP, though I'm still part of the story, but I'm making my character go off on his own for a while, so I will be posting the same thing each time I post in both RP's now.
IC: Glorfindel told King Ellemar of their task and what was at stake, and it struck fear in his heart, for he had not realized how serious the situation really was. "My Lord," Glorfindel said to the king while they were in secret council, "there is one other thing that I must tell you, that I dare not tell the others, for it would strike fear in their hearts, and they would despair if they knew of it. But I tell you, a great beast has arisen, and it has been pursuing both companies, in fact it has been pursuing me, wherever I go, and this is a creature of terrible evil and power, and wherever I am, no one is safe. Therefore I must go now, off on my own, and bring this creature where no one is around, and fight it myself. I will not tell my companions of this, I will leave in the night, tell Phenix to lead them on towards Harad. But there is one last thing I must tell you King Ellemar, evil servants are pursuing the 2 companies, they are the 8, one died, as was prophesied by me, at the hands of not a man, you know of whom I speak. But they shall come in forms of fair face and council, and will try to decieve you, there is one way for you to identify them, beware Men clad in sea-blue. Tell this to Phenix, but now, I must be off, for I am a danger to all here! I hope we meet again good King!"

Eomduil heard not the singing of the elf, as he had slipened off into the quiet while the company rested. Deeply troubled by somthing, he looked to the sky, which was clear and littered for miles with endless beauty of the stars and shinning moon. Angain he sighed, a sung unto himself a song which he recited in times where he felt alone;
"O môr henion i dhu:
Ely siriar, el síla
Ai! Aníron Elesselde.
Tiro! El eria e mor.
ôl dûr ristannen
Ai! Aniron Elesselde."
It was the song of the Elesselde, the Blessed of Elves, the Elf-Child of his kin. There had been many a time where Master Greenleaf himself had sang to himslef this troubled song but for many a diffrent reason. Indeed for Emoduil this saddened tune was for his sister, to whom he was bound with an oath of safety. Once more he looked to the hevens and lulled the song quietly to himslef.

Charmiana woke before the dawning of the sun. The dream had come again. It was coming more frequently now. She decided not to bother the others... it was probably just her subconcious playing on her fear of being followed by those flying beasts. Something told her it was morethan that but she did not heed it.
Rasec
02-01-2003, 05:59 PM
When dawn came, Rasec woke up and found the others still sleeping, save for Charmiana. She was preparing something for them to eat, but her facial expression did not seem to be fine. Rasec approached her and they looked at each other. Looking deeply inside her eyes and reaching her mind, the Dawnstar Elf found her mind disturbed. He felt that she has had dreams - dreams of beasts chasing the company. And her dreams seemed to be very much real.
Then suddenly, while looking for more of her dreams, Rasec felt a great pain in his own mind. He put his fingers on his forehead and closed his eyes. He was starting to get breathless. Charmiana stopped what she was doing immediately and ran to him.
- What is happening, my lord? - she asked. - What is it that you feel?
- Charmiana, my friend - he asnwered. - I was looking into your mind. I think that your dreams now have passed to me as well. I am sorry, I should not be doing that. Now I feel a great pain, and I want to be alone for some time. I do not fear it, and it will not last. Take care of the company for a while and give them food. I will be back in one hour, the time for us to leave.
Having said that, Rasec mounted his horse and went away from the company, looking for a lake. The pure water would help him heal the pain.

We must stay here and keep our eyes open. At the first sign of any trouble, be prepared to fight or flee. All who have horses should mount them, and all others need to be ready." Grinning, he said "I know it may seem I'm a little worried: well so should we all be so close to our enemy. Let's just stay together til Earendil and Emoduil return."
Walking over to Bethalarien, he gave her a hand up from her resting place. "May I share your mount once more? I somehow feel safest and happiest with you... and everything about me seems sharper. Thus I think I should ride with you: we'll need as sharp senses as we can get!"

Glorfindel rode on through the night, past the White Mountains of Gondor and on through the Gap of Rohan, until he reached Isengard and the Tower of Orthanc, where Radagast the Brown now dwelt. He took council and rest there with Radagast, and Glorfindel said to the Wizard, "Radagast, you know that you did not do your job against Sauron, and therefore you may not return to the Blessed Lands."
"I know." said Radagast sorrowfully.
"But," said Glorfindel, "you may yet return."
"How?" asked Radagast, listening intently.
"I was with the Valar, as I have told you, and they told me to say this to you, 'that if you help against your former allies, the Ithryn Luin, and play a significant role, then you may return to the blessed land with me, when I go, and when I leave it will be the last ship that Cirdan sends West, so it is now or never Radagast my friend."
Radagast thought for a while, "okay, I will aid you in your war against Allatar and Pallando, though you must understand that they are more powerful than I."
"I do understand that, but I also understand that you are still very powerful, much more so than you ever revealed, but now the time has come to reveal your true power Radagast. In the morning we will set out, and your task will be achieved in the end."

02-03-2003, 03:56 AM
Charmiana was right, Rasec just wanted to help her by looking into her mind. But now he was healed of the pain he had felt, for he found a perfect lake of clear and refreshing water. Although, now he felt another pain, an even worse pain, for Charmiana had fell on his arms.
- Charmiana, my lady - he cried. - Can you hear me?
She did not answer. Rasec feared he had died, but then he touched her chest and felt her heart still beating, though a little weakly. "It may be an effect of her dreams. Her soul is falling into darkness. I may have the power to save her." Then Rasec laid his hand on Charmiana's forehead and closed his eyes. All became dark about him, and he was like a lonely star shining in the middle of the sky. The elf maiden lying on his arms was losing her light and power. Still touching her forehead, Rasec began to try to heal her.
- Charmiana, lasto beth nîn, tolo dan na ngalad.
And with that, the darkness about them started to fail, and the light of Rasec and Charmiana started to spread. When all was covered with their light, Rasec found himself in the place he was before, surrounded by trees, and with all his companions observing him and the elf maiden. She suddenly opened her eyes and looked tenderly at Rasec, giving him a smile. She knew what he had done for her. She had listened his words.

Meanwhile, Emoduil rode forth with the Lady Earendil in search of water and a safe place to rest. All the time, he kept Rhonabwy at the same pace as the Lady's own horse in order for them not to loose each other. At last he called out to her, "My Lady, there is a shred of silver upon the horizon! I pray that it may be a water source of some kind!"

"Yes, are you and Rasec ok? You have been acting very oddly..." Sighing when they were given no reply, Isal and Bethalarian turned away. "Perhaps they wish for some time alone. Let us leave them to themselves... and let us too be together in privacy." As the group continued to wait, Isal and Bethalarian murmured to one another quietly in the hot sun. If the others had observed them they may well have persieved the love growing between the two.

Charmiana rode away from the others. Rasec with her. AS she was riding a great pain hit her and she saw the eyes. She fell off her horse. "Rasec, tye me to my horse."
"We must stop Charmiana, you need to rest." said Rasec he was worried. What could he do to help Charmiana
"Tye me to my horse Rasec. I do not want the others to know and despair. Earendil should know but as for the others I am not sure. Besides, the slower we go the more painful my dreams... it is getting closer."

She asked Isal where Earendil had gone and found that her and Emowyn went in search of lake water..... and that something was amiss with Rasec and Charmiana that the other were not aware of.
Eirien went to talk to Charmiana, " Is there something bothering you Charmiana that you're not telling us?Because if there is you can tell me and maybe there is something i can do to help for you and the others helped me in my weakness."
Charmiana answered in a figity kind of tone, " Thank you Eirien but there is nothing wrong. And in the future i will remeber your kindness."
An with that Eirien rode on.. but she knew just by Charmiana's tone in voice that there was still something on her mind.

In the morning Glorfindel and Radagast went out of the tower of Orthanc and they locked the door, that was the last time any living creature ever set foot inside that great and legendary tower, for they burned the key to the tower after they had locked the door. Radagast got his horse, Reindil, and mounted him. "It has been long since I have ridden," said the old wizard.
"Well it is time you remembered what it feels like, and it is time you remember what a blade feels like in your hand." Glorfindel then unwrapped the legendary sword Glamdring and handed it to Radagast. "This is the sword used by Turin Turambar, King of Gondolin, whose people I once died defending. It was also used by Gandalf the Grey, and Gandalf the White, it is time, Radagast, that it passed on into your hand, and you will be recognized and honored for you deeds." Radagast held the sword in his hand and swung it about his head,
"It feels wonderful to hold a sword again," he said.
"And hopefully you will be able to wield it as well as you could long ago. Do you have your staff? Good, then let us be off!"
Glorfindel and Radagast shot out through the fields surrounding Isengard and went out through the gate, never again did anyone set foot in that sacred place.

- Charmiana, my lady - said Rasec. - I shall support you on any decision you shall make. But the decision itself is up to you. I have healed you once and I shall heal you as many times as I can. But one thing I tell you: if my power cannot heal you at all, what could Earendil possibly do? Her healing power is neither worse nor better than mine. And I do not want people to despair, for we cannot linger any more. Nevertheless, if you still think you should let her know for your own safety, do not hesitate. I shall let you alone now so you can ponder about it.
Then Rasec rode his horse towards Isal and Bethelarien and spoke to Isal.
- We have not been acting oddly, Isal, Lord of the Echoes - he said respectfully. - Charmiana has not felt well lately, and I am trying to help her. I feel obliged to do that, for I am her friend and the leader of the company, together with Earendil. If you have anything to speak with me, I shall listen to you.

Rasec could be sure of the approahing evil by Charmiana's troubled mind. The dreams that chase her are full of malice and deceives.
- You must be alert - he whispered to Earendil. - The light of the Dawnstar begins to fade, for much of it I am passing to Charmiana, to save her. Soon I shall have the chance to give it light back, but I am still looking for the source. While you fought the orcs this afternoon, one of them approached me and Charmiana, and for the first time in my life, I did not notice it coming. And it would have striked me if Eirien had not seen it and killed it before. I shall take care of Lady Charmiana, but I do not have the strength to fight anymore. Do not worry though. "Yes I am," Radagast replied.
"Good, call them to you, tell the birds to bring messages to my companions, that great danger is behind them, and great peril ahead, but to turn back now would be useless, tell them to ride on as fast as they can towards Harad and Rhun! And call the Eagles to us, they must bear us away from here!"

Rasec heard Nefmariel's warning and looked back at Charmiana. Her skin was pale, not grey at all, but he could see that she was fainting and entering the nightmares again. Her arms were tightly holding around Rasec's torso. And while he could feel that, he was not worried, for it meant she still had strength. But then he looked back again, not at Charmiana, but at the terrible fight of Glorfindel and Radagast against the Dralrog.
- Lhunsoroniel - he shouted. - Could you take Charmiana with you for some time?
She nodded. Then Rasec galloped next to her and she caught Charmiana and put her on her back, taking her arms and holding them to her torso, just as she was bound to Rasec.
Having done that, Rasec turned his white horse back, and his hair swang with the wind and shone brightly, and he rode on, towards Glorfindel and Radagast, for he felt he could do something for them. When he approached the Wizard and the White Elf, they immediately shouted to him:
- Go back, Rasec! You cannot stay here! Go back to your companions!
- No, my lords! - cried Rasec. - We shall fight the beast together, for I fear not shadow and flame. And may the grace of the Valar protect us!
When he said that, he pulled his long sword out of its sheath and drew it before the Dralrog. There was a strange gleam in his sword that time, and the light of the Sun made it shine even brighter. Rasec looked deeply inside the beast's eyes and somehow he did not feel neither weaker nor stronger than it.
The Dralrog stopped. Rasec was mounted on his horse, drawing his sword and glancing at the beast bravely. Radagast and Glorfindel were standing beside the horse. The Wizard had the light of the gem on his staff gleaming, and his face had no expression of fear or pain. "Radagast," said Glorfindel, "Get this fool out of here before he gets killed!" Glorfindel had said this in reference to Rasec.
"Yes my lord," the wizard said, and he turned quickly with his staff and pointed it at Rasec and his horse, the horse turned around with and went speeding back towards the rest of the company. However, Rasec's sword had flown out of his hand and went into Radagast's, for he needed a sword as well as a staff.
Glorfindel and Radagast then turned toward the Dralrog, and Glorfindel was amazed, for when he looked into its eyes, he saw that this was indeed the same Balrog that he had fought upon the rock outside of Gondolin thousands of years ago, returned, as had he, in a more powerful form.
The Dralrog now went into the minds of both of his adversaries, to Radagast he said this: "So, you have decided to make yourself useful Radagast the Brown, Radagast the Fool, Radagast the Simple, Radagast the Weak." And this angered the wizard greatly, and his eyes lit with a fire never seen before in him.
To Glorfindel the Dralrog said this: "So, we meet again Glorfindel the Golden-haired, and you shall fall once again, as you did before, for I am more powerful now than ever I was when you last fought with me." All this he said in the minds of his 2 opponents.
But in return Glorfindel said this, "I am no longer Glorfindel the Golden-haired you fool! For now I am Glorfindel the White! More powerful than ever, and you cannot defeat me, nor Radagast the Brown!" And a bright white light shone from the two, Glorfindel and Radagast. Then there was something that they saw in the eyes of the Dralrog, was it fear? But to conceal this the Monster let out a growl that sounded more like a laugh.

In her mind or was it the Dalrogs mind now --- it did not really matter at the present she felt a deep sence of...could it be fear. Charmiana drew up at this point she pushed at it with her mind. Whoever was out there was scaring the beast whethere he showed his fear aloud or not. If Charmiana could just push him with her mind they would create a double front and at least the Dalrog would be forced to let go of her mind

Bethelarien paused and looked at Charmiana. She wasn't looking too good--it was obvious she was struggling inwardly with something. Bethelarien resolved to keep a close eye on Charmiana. She did not want anything to happen to her companions.
For this same reason, Bethelarien again stopped her horse and turned. Her keen eyes could barely see the fire and shadow that Glorfindel and Radagast were so bravely battling. Again her heart went out to them, and she inwardly pleaded with the Valar to spare them both.

Rasec was riding back to the company as he was ordered by Glorfindel. He did not feel bad for that, for at least his sword would be of use. And he also felt that Glorfindel somehow wanted to protect him. He would surely want to protect any body of the company, but Rasec felt a special way of protection, though he knew that nor had Glorfindel perceived it. He smiled softly and continued riding on, trying to reach his companions. He looked back, and the Dralrog's flames were, for him, diminishing. While looking back, he suddenly rememered of Charmiana, and he much desired to reach her fast.
- Noro lim, Gwyndòfir, noro lim! - he said to his horse. - Noro lim!
The white elvish horse rode faster and faster, and soon Rasec arrived where his companions had stopped and were watching the battle. He dismounted and walked towards Charmiana. She was not dreaming anymore. Lhunsoroniel and Bethelarien were next to her, and Rasec looked at them and smiled gently. He knew they had healed her temporarilly from the nightmares.
- Hannon le - said Rasec to both of them.

Hold on, even if it may hurt." With that Lhunsoroniel started to sing a song of comfort for Charmiana, and the rest of her companions.
Rasec
02-09-2003, 02:31 AM
- What do you mean, my lady? - Rasec asked - I shall never let you do anything that could hurt you, if that is what you mean. If you mean you think of giving up from life, then I do not want to hear your words, my lady. You will win this battle, and I will be by your side.
A gentle tear rolled down Charmiana's face. Rasec laid his hand on her hair and delicately caressed her. Then he softly kissed her forehead and her skin immediately got back to its normal pigmentation. Their companions had already started moving on, and Rasec had let them go, for he could reach them afterwards. What really mattered for him now was the health of Charmiana.
- Do you feel you are ready, Lady Charmiana? - he then asked - Are you ready to go on?
- Yes, Lord Rasec - she answered. - I am ready.

Jumping off the horse, Isal ran over to Rasec and Charmiana. "Rasec, my lord... I may not have power anywhere approaching yours, yet I may be able to help but a little. I shall sing, for in Rivendell my song and my healing were entwined to one. Now my song can lift the emotions and give more strength mentally and any lemba's ever could!" With that, Isal began to sing. As he did so, his body seems to fold over on itself. He collapsed, but his song continued. Somehow, Isal had entered the mental battle with Charmiana and was now involved as just much as her. The group looked on in worry as Charmiana and Isal tossed and turned, skin greying and eyes unseeing. Even so, Isal's song continued.

Rasec was happy that everybody was meant to help. He knew that Charmiana was strong, and he was beside her. The company had stopped for a break and a fire had been made. Isal's song was comforting, and the hearts of all began to feel better. The crepuscule was upon them. The pale light of the distant Sun started to fade, and the clouds in the sky were orange and red.
"I wonder how long this battle will last" - Rasec thought. "The Dralrog must begin to understand that it does not have the power to defeat both Glorfindel and Radagast".
But then night came, and Charmiana had not woken from her dreams. Rasec felt sleepy, and he asked Isal to take care of the elf maiden. He was very kind with him and gently accepted to stay beside her while Rasec slept. But Rasec had a dream he could never predict.
**DREAM**
- Mae govannen, Rasec - an elf lady said.
- Where am I? - Rasec asked.
- In your dream, my son - the lady answered.
- Mother? - he said, turning his face to see her.
They hugged each other, and love could be seen in their eyes. Then she stared at him and caressed his face. All about them was a fair pale light, and Lyrathòr, Rasec's mother, was dressing a sparkling white dress.
- Why do you come to my dream, mother? What do you want of me? - he asked.
- It comes the time, my son, when some things should be revealed - she said, looking deeply at him. - For Cesar, my beloved husband, is not your father.
Rasec closed his eyes, and tears rolled softly down his face. he felt a great pain, for he had much loved Cesar.
- Although, Rasec, you must understand that he loved you as his son. And your real father did not abandon you. He did not know of you, for he left Lothlórien when I got pregnant. And then I married the man who helped me and supported me, and nobody knew you were not our son.
Rasec was carefully listening to her, and he much desired to know who his father was and where he was. But when he was about to speak, Lyrathòr laid her fingers on his mouth and did not let him do it.
- Do not speak, son, for I know what you will say. But it is not my task to tell you. Your father is closer than you can imagine, and further than you can reach for now. Think, Rasec. Think of the one thing you have which is different from me and from Cesar. Now sleep, and rest like you have never rested before. Namárië, Dawnstar.
**END OF THE DREAM**
Rasec woke in the middle of the night. Eveybody was sleeping save for Isal, who had Charmiana in his arms. "What do I have that my parents do not have? What characteristic did my mother mean?". Then he lay on the ground and slept again, until day light came.

Glorfindel looked back and saw that the Rhun company was in great peril, and 2 were suffering. Glorfindel drew his sword and lunged at the great creature, but his blow was deflected by the sword of his enemy, while at the same time Radagast let off a blinding flash of light and knocked the demon onto it's back. Again Glorfindel jumped in and attempted to kill the beast, but he was thrown off again. This time Radagast took up Rasec's sword and brought it swinging around his head towards the heart of his enemy, but the Dralrog deflected that as well. However, his sword was now broken, and he was left with a whip and fire. He opened his mouth wide and shot white-hot flames towards Glorfindel. Glorfindel ran away from them, but could not keep it up, he leapt up and landed on the back of his enemy. Radagast saw this and used the opportunity to defeat the demon once and for all, he shot blue flames towards the dralrog, knockint backwards. It landed on its back with Glorfindel underneath, however, Glorfindel had been on its back with his sword going into it, the force of the blow from Radagast sent the sword straight through its heart. The Demon let out a great shriek, and then the flames surrounding it were vanquished, and Glorfindel got up, though badly burned and wounded. "You have proven yourself at last Radagast, your name shall now be placed among the mighty of the past, and people will sing about you for ages to come." Rasec was astonished, but at the same time he felt delighted within his heart. He approached Glorfindel and Radagast and welcomed them back.
- Mae govannen, my lords - he said. - I am very proud of you. The battle was not easy, and the Dralrog was not a weak enemy, but I knew you would defeat it. We, your companions, were not there physically, but we were inside your hearts and minds, supporting and helping you. And I hope my sword was of great use to you, Radagast - the wizard pull the sword out of his belt and drew it before Rasec, showing that it was perfectly conserved. Then he handed it to the elf and Rasec thanked the wizard while he sheathed it. - I am indeed happy with your return, my lords! (Sindarin: Welcome)
Glorfindel was badly wounded and by the time Rasec finished speaking, he laid his hand on his arm, which had a big wound from fire. Rasec looked worriedly at him and quickly made him sit down under a tree, where he could rest while Rasec tried to heal his wounds.
- You look tired, my lord - said Rasec. - Rest while I use my herbs and bandages to heal your wounds.
- I cannot rest, Rasec - he answered. - There is such excitement in me that does not allow me to rest.
Rasec smiled, but did not say anything. He opened his material bag and started to take care of Glorfindel like he deserved. Soon his wounds were covered with bandages, and Glorfindel felt much better.
-Thank you, I must say, companion - said Glorfindel. - For now I feel revigorated.
- I did what my skills allowed me to - Rasec answered, looking deeply at the White Elf in front of him. He smiled.
- You look somehow worried, Rasec - he remarked. - Is there anything I can do for you?
- In fact, there is - he answered slowly. - I wonder if you remember, Glorfindel, of an elf maiden from Lothlórien whose name is Lyrathòr. - Glorfindel looked curiously at him, and suddenly he was thoughtful.
- I do - he answered reluctantly. - I do remember, for I fell in love with her on the moment I saw her, and her face shall never disappear from my mind. But I had to leave Lothlórien for the war. I never saw her again. Who has told you about her? Do you know her, Rasec? - he asked expectantly.
- Lyrathòr, my lord... - Rasec answered - is my mother. And I am not only your friend or companion. For you, Glorfindel the White, are my father.
Glorfindel was shocked. He opened his eyes widely and was, for a few seconds, breathless. He did not speak. He just looked at his son surprisedly.
- She was pregnant when you left - Rasec explained. - And the man who married her afterwards, Cesar, accepted me as his son. But I am no longer son of Cesar - he paused solemnly. - I am Rasec, son of Glorfindel.

Earendil soon returned and looked at the hooded elf and rode over to her. "hello i am Earendil, welcome to our quest..." and she dismounted her horse and made a fire and then she sat down with the glow of the fire upon her face she smiled up at Glorfindel and Rasec and how glad she was that they were now together...and she began to play her flute for it was a joyous occasion.

Eirien greeted the new one and brought the elf to sit by the fire with Earendil so she wouldn't feel left out. As they listend to Earendil's flute Eirien felt comforted in someway. "That tune..... I have heard it before and it sounds so familiar. What is it called Earendil? For it comforts me so."

Bethelarien looked at the newcomer, who was already familiar to her, and smiled.
"You are most welcome among us, Lailonniel, Princess of Mirkwood."
Rasec
02-13-2003, 05:56 AM
Rasec was smiling. He could not hide the happiness he was feeling within his heart. There was a breeze passing by the camp of the company, and the currently famous golden hair of Rasec was floating gently with the air.
- Lyrathòr still dwells in Lothlórien - Rasec answered. - It was she who told me you are my father. In fact, she did not tell me your name, but she told me to think of a character of mine that I did not inherited from her and from Cesar. I found out it was the hair through a comment of Charmiana - he paused, looking excitedly at his father. - Then I supposed my father was you and I was right, my lord.
Glorfindel did not answer, but they hugged each other once again, and they both felt comforted. The elves of the company, that were surrounding them, clapped their hands and smiled. A tear of amazement fell from Rasec's eye.
After that, they all sat around the fire. Rasec welcomed the two elves who had recently joined them, and immediately looked inside their minds, testing them and trying to find out if they were impostors. But nothing he found, and he was rather tired, so he left it for the next day. The company spent the whole night singing elvish songs and talking about the new family that was discovered. Rasec and Glorfindel did not sing, for they had much to speak one with the other.

Tuilin felt that she could rest in peace with this company and could finnaly relax.
She understood that a lot had happened to the strange company lately...

When the conversation came to an end between Glorfindel and Rasec Charmiana walked up behind the pair, putting aan arm around each she said "I am haappy for you both." But wondered what Rasec was feeling...

High in the boughs of a tree, Lhunsoroniel listened to the beautiful melody drifting up from far below and watched the glimmering stars. She slowly fell asleep but she kept herself tense and alert, just in case.

Eirien lay in rest watching the stars.Sheard a little grumbling noise and was alert but soon realized it was her stomach and started to laugh inside her head. She turned to her pack and took out a peice of lembas bread. She took about two bites and was imediatley full.Eirien looked over at Earendil, who looked a little lonesome, and went over to keep her company and help watch. "would you like some bread Earendil? You must be famished, I haven't seen you eat for a while."

" Well Earendil there was one elf at one time" Eirien said as she looked down at her feet." But he is gone now, for he was killed in battle some time ago.He used to hum a tune to me when i was tense ,that of which was much like the tune you were playing yesterday on your flute.Sometimes I look up at the stars and see the brightest one twinkle and i know its him watching over me from the sky."

"i heard of this tune long ago...on my travels through your forests of Mirkwood and i could hear the trees whispering it...perhaps its him that i heard...he shall come back to you..." and Earendil smiled at Eirien and handed her a carving she had made for her...it read upon it..."keep hope and live all your days on your feet" and for a second Eirien thought she had seen it glow a blue shade then return back to normal and Eirien looked up at Earendil who was saddling her horse Pellerion...

Emoduil stood alittle way off from the company with Rhonabwy. As he stroked the horses soft nose, he couldn't help but feel that he was an outsider to the rest of the group.

Lhunsoroniel walked over to where Emoduil was with his horse. "Did you really spend many years in Rohan? (OOC: I think I remember you saying something about that) What was it like riding with the horse lord?":) She smiled at him, waiting for the answer.

Emoduil smiled at the maiden.
"Indeed, many years infact. I have seen the births and passings of many kings of that land. Their horses a fast and well bred, their land rolling and beautiful.." He sighed sorrowfuly, "It is indeed a great country..."

" It truly does sound beautiful. I'm sad to say that I've never seen that land before. Maybe when all of this is over, I'll travel to Rohan before going home to Mirkwood."
Rasec
02-22-2003, 11:24 PM
Rasec was riding on his horse beside a lake of clear water. He looked at his face on the surface of the water and stared at himself for a long time, thinking about his false father, the dream with his mother and his, now found, real father. He admired his face as being a face of a prince, for now he felt this way. "Rasec, son of Glorfindel" - he thought. "Son of Glorfindel - he repeated. "Now my name sounds better". And then he smiled and went back to the company.

"you are of great fortune Rasec son of Glorfindel...to have someone so wise for a father..." Earendil said to Rasec before she rode ahead...she could feel a sudden chill and her spirits drop for no apparent reason many troubles lay ahead but she decided to keep it to herself....

Emoduil strokes his horses neck thoughtfully. He turns to the lady,
"Maybe you could ride with me to Rohan, for I will be returning there when this is over and company would be greatly accepted."
Rasec
02-23-2003, 08:30 PM
The colour of the sky was starting to go darker. The air of the crepuscule was close. The company was riding fast towards the East. Charmiana was riding on the left side of Rasec, while Glorfindel and Radagast were riding on his right side. Earendil was next to Charmiana, and the rest of the company was following behind.
Rasec was tormented with an unanswered question. "When will Glorfindel leave Middle-Earth? - he thought. "When will my father leave me? I much desire he could stay with me, supporting me and replacing the time we lost apart". Then he gently looked at his father and his father looked back at him. They both knew that one day they would have to part, but they did not want to think about it that moment. They were happier than they had ever been before.

Glorfindel rode along beside Radagast and Rasec, after a while he dropped to the back of the company with Radagast beside him so they could take council together as to what the next move against the enemy would be.
Eirien
02-24-2003, 03:37 AM
Eirien rode on with the others in deep thought. She thought about all that has happened and all the injuries. And with thinking about all this it makes this journey seem like it has lasted so long, yet it seems she hasn't been with the group for that long.
Rasec
02-24-2003, 03:46 AM
- What do you mean, Charmiana, my lady? - Rasec asked. - My mother Lyrathòr still dwells in Lothlórien, if that is what you want to know.
Having said that, Rasec looked desperatly at his right side and saw that his father and the Wizard were not there. He then looked behind the company and saw them a little distant apart, talking about something privately. He thought about joining them, for now he an estimated person for Glorfindel, but he decided not to do so. He was still the same elf, and he was not as powerful as his father yet, so he continued riding with the company.

Bethelarien
02-24-2003, 06:08 PM
Bethelarien rode silently among her companions, listening only and saying nothing, taking everything in. Suddenly she shivered. The air seemed to have a deathly chill in it, and it frightened her. She glanced around, trying to see if anyone else had noticed, but she could not catch anyone's eye. So she merely continued on in silence, though she brought her right hand up to her neck, to the pendant she wore, and then covered her right hand with her left.

Riding with Bethelarien, Isal felt her shiver. He good feel the warm breeze, and so he knew it was not because of air temperature. Isal had always been a happy, lively person and had never been affectected by doubt or worry, and so no charms or evil had every caused him to shiver like that. He whispered to Beth, "What is wrong, my love?"
