ahh, a friend, how many rooms do you have open in this inn. I would like to stay a while rest from my long journey in Mirkwood, I talked with Legolasas father, king of mirkwood, he recomended this inn. i will thank you for a drink and a bed to sleep in.

*Hands Kellivara an ale and hands Umealona some hot tea* "As soon as you have finished your drink, I will show you to a room where you may rest and have a good night's sleep"

*i say as i sit down at a table*

*Loss goes and fetches a nice warm cup of tea for LegolasLuver* "Here you go, enjoy! My own secret recipe, it is. Tell me if anyone else needs anything"

[HobbitGirl]

A female hobbit in a blue cloak strolls into the inn. "Ah! A new inn! Just what I've been looking for. Now I can meet some new people!" She walks up to the bar and clambers onto a stool. "Hello, all," she says to the patrons sitting there, "I'm commonly known as HobbitGirl, HG for short. Barkeep, do you happen you have any green tea about?"

"Aye, its nice to meet you HobbitGirl!" *Loss fetched some green tea* "Here you are; might you be wanting anything else?"

[HobbitGirl]

"Thank you! No, that'll do it for now. But if you're looking for musicians, I can play a bit on the harmonica. I already play for the Golden Axe Inn in the Mithril Knights guild, but I'd be happy to play here as well!" The hobbit sips her tea. "Mmm...exquisite!"

[Umealona]

mecil the sword smith walks in from inspecting his room" wonderful establishment you have" he comments to the inn keep.
" Do you happen to serve lamb here, I hav'nt had a good meal in nearly a week, oh, and some ale would be nice, lots of ale." Mecil took a seat at one of the tables nearby and waited hopefully for his meal.

*Loss runs around gathering everything for her guests. She prepares a nice lamb meal for Umealona and brings losta losta ale with her* "Here you go!" *Turns to HobbitGirl "I would love to have you play harmonica here; it would liven the place up a bit"

[HobbitGirl]

"Alright then! Music it is! How about a tune everyone will know, eh?" Ashari stands up and pulls a small harmonica out of her cloak-pocket. She strikes up a lively tune, then after playing two verses lowers her harmonica and sings:

"Hey, ho to the bottle I go
To heal my heart and drown my woe.
Rain may fall and wind may blow
But there still be many miles to go.
Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain
And the stream that falls from hill to plain.
Better than rain or rippling brook
Is a mug of beer inside this Took!"

"Yes!" said the hobbit. "I would love to be your harmonica player! Everybody sing! Let's liven this place up!"

At this point Umealona Pipes up.
"As long as i'm here you might as well call me by my real name, it is Mercil the sword smith. I am called Umealona by my kin but I would much prefere Mercil While I am here."
Turning to HobbitGirl he smiles and says,
"That was wonderful, do you know any others, I personaly like a good battle tune,oh, do you know the song of thofen?"

[HobbitGirl]

"A good battle tune...hum..." Ashari thought for a moment, then began to play on her harmonica a tune she knew. She played a few verses before she sang:

"Well the first Battle of Lohan
As I have heard it told
Was fought by a few Kachitas
One from a warrior of old.

And with these wily Kachitas
Were two maidens from afar
Palinta, and Likasevita
Who came from Earth, the star.

They were rescuing the princess
Zesprin was her name
And with skill with sword and bow
She had renowned fame.

But she had been imprisoned
By Pakelans under a spell.
And the nature of this battle
Is what I now will tell.

The little band of rescuers
Came out of the trees
And saw the princess Zesprin's guard
They sank down to their knees.

One by one, they took thier places
And readied for the charge
And Kasi, the Kachita archer
Fired his arrow large.

It flew straight, it flew true
Under a Pakelan arm
And all his comrades saw him fall
They raised up alarm.

With that, the warriors charged
Into the bloody fray
They slew Pakelans left and right
Before the break of day.

The maidens from outside the world
Fought as well as they could
And Palinta, the healer
Found Zesprin in the cabin of wood.

And back to camp the warriors went
And Zesprin went behind
She slew all of her captors left
Any she could find.

So ended the First of Lohan.
But afterwards, they say
A second battle took place there
Much more than just a little fray."

[Elora]

The song was unfamiliar to her, but the way in which it was performed was enjoyable and so it was this that encouraged her through the door. Elora lingered a moment, surveying those in the common room, and deep in the cowl of her cloak a smile curved her lips. Her hands rose to push it back from her face, shaking out a long braid that tamed her copper curls. The cloak showed signs of wear and travel, but it was a goot stout cloak, serviceable, comfortable and above all warm.

She walked to the bar, hand in the pouch that hung from a belt beneath her cloak. If her Ainur features cause a ripple as she glided past, she paid it no heed. Reaching the bar, she slipped in between some patrons easily and waited until the bar tender finished with the earlier orders before she added her own in a musical voice.

A glass of Dor-lomion red please, if you have it. If not, a Mordorian black ale, thanks.

She placed a small pile of coins on the bartop and turned back to watch the woman named Ashari complete her song. When it ended, she added her applause appreciatively to that that sprung up throughout the inn.

"Wow so many new people! First of all, here is that Dor-lomion red you wanted Elora; just tell me when you want more. I hope you enjoy yourself here. xime i love OB, I would greatly appreciate help as a waiter or entertainer; just tell me which one you prefer. And Ume..er, Mercil :) and anyone else; does anyone need anything?"

"Thats all I need, Food, a lttle somthing to wet my throat, and a good song to liven things up a bit. This reminds me of that time I....Oh I suppose you don't want to hear me ramble on and on and..where was I, Oh yes i was telling you of what this all reminds me of. " At this point Mercil begains to relate in dramatic detail of his gallient defense against a troop of a thousand orcs( he might have been exagerating a little bit).

first let me introdude my self
my neame is Daerien daugther of Argien u must know who is Argien if not i will tell u she ist daughter of Celebrian and she is daughter of Galadriel so now u know my family , im very young and in lorien we notice that the felowship enter in the fores our wood
they stay in Lorien 3 elf days 1 month for humans hobits and draws but that day when they arrive i was brushing my hair looking at the road and i saw him an elf .... a black wood elf i cant belive , when i saw him i fall in love and then the time that they stay we take long walks we pic flowers we dance on the hills and sometimes gimli came with us we told stories and they told everything that happend in moria
but he must go, he cant stay with me he must go with mr frodo and save the ME i was so sad but he give me a sweet kis and then he go away!
:( and the i chose one way, follow him if im going to die i will die following my love i cant stay in lorien and die for abroken heart so i take my white and loyal horse named Uidin and and start riding afther them but i lose them cause they were in the river and im here folowing legolas so i dont know were i have to go

in walks a black dragon fierce and angry looking but before the people in the inn have time to think he speaks this land has changed since i have been here where is some of the inn that once stood here for i have bben on a long quest past my land far far far to the south out of middle earth so please fill me in on what has happend

*A tall man enters the room he has a cloak wrapped around his waist and the stain of dried blood covers his cloak, "My name is Eothan, I was wounded in battle I am alright now but I am very weary. Could I trouble you for a room until my strength returns to full? How much is a room?"

"Welcome theoden" said Famrill as she stopped playing her flute and bowed her head. "come sit next to me and tell me of your journy."

"May I have an ale please?"

*a shadowed voice comes from the darkest corner of the Inn* "Welcome Eothan, if u like I could give you something that'll take those stains out of your cloak. As you can probably tell I'm the anti-social one around here, but I guess that is to be expected as I am a peredhil drow and was raised in the land of the dark elves." *tosses Eothan a vial of liquid* "that'll take every last stain out of your cloak without causing it to fade"

[Angoreth]

" What would happen if it got on his skin?" she said as she looked at th bottle." I wouldent want him to melt away" she teased at theoden.

[Kellivara]

[Theoden_king]

"I am fine, I would just like to rest here for a bit, Iwas on my way back to my city from Gondor, when I was waylaid by a host of orcs, two of my company were killed, the rest were not injured and have gone on but I could ride no furthur today, but please do not stop playing on my account Famrill" he said with a smile

malazac has sat in silince while people came a whent and know a very drunk malazac stands up an says [ truthly what he said has happend ] 3 months ago in my kingdom far to the south a man came in to the dragons plalace in flarnia and on his hand he wore a ring with tromenduse power and with it he summoned a beast known to him as mishiva a demond of darkness and with it he destroyed the city untill only the palace stood alone we sent our men wave after wave but to no avel he sluttered them all i fled with the small amount of dragons till we were far a way we came to this small pach of rolling land just north of gondor and from there we split in serch of people or dragons that would help and with in three weeks i came here in depression i could not help my own kin and so i wait till i have the strenth to fight back hic hic hic another two dragon sized ales plezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Famrill looked at malazac in confusion, then looked at theoden and returned the smile and started playing. Hoping her playing would cheer theoden malazac up a bit.

I'm not sure exactly, but are you asking for volunteers to help you or are you complaining that you couldn't find any brave enough to help? or am I just completely not comprehending what u said?

Theoden listened to Famrills music with a smile, the music was indeed pleasant to listen to. Malazac's story had made him think, he had never heard this tale before and it interested him

Famrill looked at theoden and said with her mind"yes interesting this story is"she then played th eetune a bit quicker.

[Theoden_king]

Theoden jumped, and then realising what had happened he quickly sat down feeling rather foolish he then leaned over to Famrill "Elves are strange creatures" he said "but you comfort me" with that he sat back and took a sip of his ale

"yes comferting to my friends,I make my enemys go mad"she said with a grin.

[Theoden_king]

"Indeed you gave me quite a fright back there, I would dislike to be an enemy of the elves"

[Angoreth]

"Then you shalll stay a friend" she said as she started up her flute. Stoped suddenly from thurst,"reading mind's makes you thursty ya know" she said then took a huge drink of ale.Then this time she started her flute up.

(lol, just for a few songs, lol, dun worry, I'm not stealin ur spotlight:p )" *Kell brings her flute up to her lips and begins to play an old irish folk song--gentle, slow, and smooth, yet upbeat enough to easily dance to*

" I would luv to play a duo with yo my friend" she said as she copyed the beat with Kell.

well hello every one hows it been [standing behind malazac is a dragon ] this is my freind from my land he dose not talk much so excuse him o and can i have two ales please and with that the sit in the far corner of the inn and talk [from what is made out it is serous matters]

malazac sits and talks for about half an hour then suddanly he gets up and equipts him self with a sword and walks up to the counter thank you but well take the ale to go heres the money and with that they put the ale in a flask and walk out the door

[Angoreth]

"bye mal"she said as she poped a french frie in her mouth,"and theoden I only looked at you ale"she said as she waved a french frie in his face"you don't want me to dress you in this happy meal as well my friend" she said with an evil laugh.then ate another french frie.

"Would anyone like something?"

[Angoreth]

"well to keep my thirst away from theodens cup I think I shall have an ale if you don't mind."she said as she took a bite of her mc sandwitch.

"Here you go, here's an ale. My my, no one else really talks a lot here"

"YEAH I REALIZED THAT"she said aloud as she slaped theodens hand as he tried again to steal a "chip"."I am very protective of my food my friend you don't want me to battle you again"she saidwith a smile then took another bite of her sandwitch then took a drink of ale"good ale losse"she said as her thirst was quinched.

*Angoreth and Theoden are both hit in the back of the head with gummy bears, but when they turn around Kell is turned the other way sipping her ale so they don't know it was her*

"I shall sing for when I have thought of a song, but for now I shall just have to play my flute for now my new friend."she said as she pulled out her flute and bagan to play a soft soothing tune.

There is an inn in the open wood and losse is the barkeeper there. and when you come in you can get an ale or if you wish instead molt beer but besure not to get it in your beard.


Come in the fire is warm and make sure to wipe your feet, for if you forget then losse will get mad, and she'll start to kick you with her feet.


And if you are weary please pull up a chair, for there are many fair people their.so come on in with a jolly old grin and make sure to ask for a room, cuz by the night i asure you, you will need it,and in the morning need a groom.


I shall play my flute for you, all you people fine people here,and if you do not like my playing , try then to plug up your ears.

*Sits up a little more in his chair, refills his pipe and takes a long drink from his tankard.*

"It all started some months ago. One day I was fishing in a small boat out in the middle of a large and glorious bay that is called 'Chesapeake' in the land where I come from. My companions and I were having a glorious time catching an aquatic creature that is peculiar to my land called 'crabs', a delicacy, when an incredibly intense storm appeared rapidly from the West. The boat was swamped and my companions drowned but I was able to survive by clinging to some debris.

"I began to realize that I was being swept out of the bay into the open sea. I drifted for the rest of the day, all that night and into the next morning. About two hours after dawn, the most amazing and unbelievable event occured. The ocean where I was floating began to froth and bubble like it was boiling, but the water was no warmer than it had been. The sky changed from clear and sunny to a dark grey swirling mass within seconds, and great winds sprang up around me.

"I thought I would be drowned for sure when, just like the snuffing out of a candle, the 'storm' subsided, but I found myself in a very different place. Where I had previously been in open ocean, I now found myself looking west to the highest and steepest mountain range anyone could imagine. It looked like a wall tens of thousands of feet high with jagged peaks at the top. Behind the peaks, a golden and silver light shown nothing like I had ever seen before. I found myself strangely drawn to this shore but, alas, the current bore me away toward the east, and I found myself once again in open ocean."

ooc: If you are wondering just what I am smoking in my pipe, I am trying to describe what the shores of Valinor might look like to someone who is shipwrecked just off shore.

"For two more days I drifted. My strength was failing me and I was thinking how blissfully easy it would be to just slip beneath the waves when I saw the shores of this land to the east.

"I landed and was rescued and nursed back to health by some hospitable farm-folk. When I inquired where I was, they told me strange names I had never heard of before. They said I was in a land called 'Enedwaith' near a river called 'Isen'. I thought these people were merely speaking in a dialect unfamiliar to me so I did not press the matter. Nonetheless, they gave me the clothes you see me wearing and the mount I am riding. They even gave me an old, blunt rusty daggar and sword 'for protection', but I have no skill with them.

" I should probably learn. Night before last while camped on the road, I heard loud carryings-on in a nearby wood. Naively, I investigated and espied the most hideous creatures.

"Rather short they were, with their arms almost dragging the ground. They numbered about 25. Their skin was a kind of greenish-grey color and blemished to the point of being scaly. Their teeth, when they had them, were black and jagged. They had pointy snouts and bulbous eyes. Filthy they were, and they wore armour of leather and iron, and this armor as well as the skull-caps and helmets that accompanied them bore a strange emblem that looked like a white hand.

"These creatures were heavily armed and quarreling dreadfully with each other. They were screaming and yelling in a tongue I could not understand. Thankfully, they did not see me so I crept back to my camp, quenched my fire, broke camp, began riding and did not stop until I reached this inn."

*Empties his tankard and shudders while staring at the fire.*

"Losse, another porter if you please... something stronger would be better if you have it."

"Very interesting story my friend"said angoreth as she took a drink of ale.

"Aye, a wonderful story my friend. here is another, stronger ale. That was a wonderful story."

"May I have a molt beer please losse?"she said as she was thirsty from playing her flute.

"thank you my friend"she say's as she takes a drink, then like a vision her memory takes her back to the mind's of moria where she drank and ate with the high dwarf lord's of the misty mountain's.*sigh* I shall have to visit them soon.

In my travels, I also encounterd strange folk who were very short but stout, with very long beards. Are these the 'dwarves' of which you spoke? I also encountered other, smaller people who were clean-shaven but, strangely, seemed to go about their business BAREFOOT. What can you tell me about these folk?"

"Alright"she said as she took an ale from losse"Thank you I will need this"she said as she took a drink. "alrith this is how it began:

OOC: i don't know what type of story I should tell, so I will take the hobbit and lotr and twist it around a bit and add it to my own word's. hope ou don't mind.


IC: the misty mountains were very much feard in day's of old, for unknow creatures hed that place. Gandalf the grey rode to me one afternoon when I was cleaning my hosre, he told me" prepair youself for a great journy, for you might not return"then he vanished on his white steed shadow fax.I got my thing's together and ready'd myself as much as possible. Then a wek later he came back telling em to ride to rivendell, he said"I will ride h=alf way to rivendell, for I must gather much friends I can trust, but who I asked"he said you shall see" so I rode to rivendell it took me nearly a week. I was tired when I had reached it, I saw many of my elven-comrads, Legolas, who I joked around for bit with while we waited for gandalf and elornd came up to legolas an myself, and he said" there is to be a secret council, you two shall be nedded"she bow'd low to the elven lord as he left, but nothing we could tink of would warn us of what the council was about, legolas has walked off to find his company while I made my way to the council and I bumped into a dwarf, and he said"Elvs are so rude as to bump into dwarf's, they have there elven eye's can't thy watch where they are going, he said as he walked of with his other two dwarf friend's.


I was quite astonished at how rude dwarfs could be. Later on when all were in the council I noticed two men, one by the name of Aragorn and the other by the name boromir, some how the ranger seemed more stirn and of power but the son of the stewart of gondor seemed less, how could this be, I thougt but befor I could think more on it I noticed the three dwarf's, two I do not know the name, but the fat and rude one, is gimli ."oh great I thought now there letting every one into secret elven coucnil's,then I noticed a hobbit sitting next to my dear friend gandalf and his name was frodo baggins, he was the one who had gotten stabbed by the morgule blade and was sick for a long time. and next to gandalf sat legolas and his friends, then next to Elrond sat his son's, "where is arewn my friend"I thought for I much desired to speak with her, but atlass she was not there.


Elrond finally entered the room and it became quiet A terrible feelin swooped over me and coated my body, what could this mean, I thought but then I thought elrond would soon reveal it. As we all sat there we could feel the air become tense, then suddenly out from elronds mouth himself came the words"MORDOR"every one became still, and then the council bagan. these are the words that were spoken at the council.

Elrond" you all have been somend here to engage the power against mordor, this is a terrible fat that involves all of middle earth. It has to do with the one ring of power, te one ring o mordor that was crafted by the hand of Souron himself, you all must decide what is to be done.


Boromir:it is a gift, from the four wind's, let us use it and defend gondor, we can use it against the enemy.

Aragorn:you cannot weild it's power, the one ring answer's to souron alone.


Boromir: and wht does a Ranger know of this matter.


Legolas:He is no mear Ranger, He is Aragorn.. son of arathron, you ow him your alliegence


Borormir:Aragonr, this is isldue's heir.

Legolas:and heir to the thrown of gondor.


Aragorn: please, sit down legolas.

Boromir: King of gondor... gondor need's no king.

Elrond:sit down, there is no other choice but to destroy it.

Gimli:Then why wait" the annoying dwarf jumped up with his axe and with full force smashed into th ring, a bolt of inergy flashed through the circle of the council, the poor dwraf was thrown back for many a feet.


Elrond: you cannot destroy it with any weapon we here poses, it must be destroyed where it was created... In the fires of mont doom is where it can be destroy and only there can it be unmade.

Borormir: Mordor, is a barren waste land, fumse of toxic smoke fly up out of the ground it is bar, not even with a thousend men can you do this.


Legolas:have you headrd nothing of what elrond has said?.

Gimli:and I suppose your the one to do,I will die befor I se the ring's n he hands of an elf, NEVER TRUST AN ELF!!.


At this point in time every one has resien to there feet, even Gandalf is calling for silence. I look at frodo and realize what it is I saw in the corner of my eye, he was feeling pain, from the master dwarfs blow to the rings, I see him satnd on his short legs and try and yell above the crowd, I could barely hear him, He yell once again then every one began to quiet down.


Frodo: i shall take the ring to mordor...thoug I do not know the way.

Gandalf: I shall bare this burden, as long as it's your's to bare.


Aragorn:weather by life or death I can serve you, I will, you have my sword.


Legolas: and you have my bow.

Gimli: and mY axe.

Boromir: you carry the fate of us all little one, if it is indeed the folly of the council, so be it.


I stood up and Offered any weapons I carried, and they were gladly recieved,then from the back from behind a bush you could hear yellng.


Samwise gamgee: Your nt going without me,

Elrond: i see it is hard to seperate you two when, he is summond to a secret council and you are not.


and then while Same is blushing you hear once again more yelling:

Merry: youarent going withut us.

Pippin: yeah, you need people of intelligence on this sort of mission... quest... thing.

Merry:well tha rules you out pippin.


Elrond: well, nine companion's. you shall be called the fellowship of the ring.


Pippin:great... where are we going?.

"yes welcome Cerberus"she said as she rubbed her hand from missing theodens arm and hitting the bar." Introducing yourself is importent here"she said with a smile"but stay away from him"she said pointing at theoden"he throw's gummy bear's in some inn's"she said with a smile. " I was just getting to the part where the fellowship left Rivendell and and went on there journy."she said as she turned to be able to face every one in the bar," I think this is where I left off... If my memory has not completly left me"she said with a smile.:


As we left the council I headed towards my room, I saw off to the left a door cracked open and I heard hushed voices, so I walked over lightly and listened, and to my surprise it was gandalf and Elrond, they were deciding path's and roads to take,. after I had gotten a hint of where we were going I left and headed to my room once more, then I passde a hall way and saw Legolas arguing with that dwarf Gimli( do not worry my friends, the pats of the dwarf lords will come mightly)And this is what I heard:


Legolas I would not go into a mind if that was the only road to take, we should go through mirkwood, my people would gladly greet us.


Gimli: I need not go into a cursed wood, minds would be much better, no eye's to spie on you, then master elf you would see beauty beyond you elven-eye's could imagen.


Legolas:dwarfs say minds are more beautiful becaus they have not yet gazed on the gloriouse tree's of mirkwood.


getting quite bored, becaus this kept on like this for a while I walked on, finally I came to the hall where my room was," know I might be able to seek rest" i thought then I heard voices once again and it was master Bilbo and frodo baggins in bilbo's room. I could not help but hear the word of swords and not listen, so I listend and this is what I heard:


Biblo: this is my old sword sting, the blade glows ble when orc's are near, and it is at those moment's my dear lad whn you must be extra carful. And this is mithril, as light as a feather go on let me see you put it on.


I heard silence for a few minuts then I heard

Biblo: Oh.. my old ring, I should very much like to hold it again.

Then I heard silence once more then I heard a hissing sound.then this is what I heard:


Biblo: I am sorry my dear boy, I should not have brought this burden upon you, I am sorry for every thing.

Then I left them in peace, Finally I entered my room. I sat on my bed thinking of what I had just heard then a voice from behind surprised me,I jumped to my feet as unsheathing my sword, but then lowered it for it was only Gandalf smoking his pipe in the dark corner, he said he needed A favor and this is what he asked.


Gandalf: I nead you to keeop an eye on boromir, his will is in a dark state.


Myself: what do you mean, will he try to harm any of the fellowship?.


Gandal: I do not know, nor do I wish to ponder on it. You must make sure he is no alone with any of the hobbit's. Can you do this?


Myself: I shall try me best.


Gandalf: your best is all I ask.


then he got up and put a hand on my shoulder.


Gandalf: what ever you have heard, do not dwell on it.

Myself": as you wish my old friend.

Then he left the room. Hour's had passed and the fellowship wopuld leave in the morning, I left my room to look for my dear friend Arwen, I had no luck in finding her in her courter's so I went to her garden, there I found her but with Th ranger Aragorn they spoke much together, I waited for I had to speak with her, so when I heard foot steps trailing off I looked and there she stood all byherself, so I walked up to her acting like I had seen nothing, she was surprised:



Arwen: Have you just arrived?


Myself: yes,I have just finished packing my thing's.


Arwen: Oh, you are to go as one of the fellowship?

Myself: yes, as will the other's that attended the council, well most.." I said as my mind trailed back to the hobbit's that popped out of the bush's.


After I had talked with her for an hour I left to get my horse ready. I went to the main outer room and most of the fellowship were there, legolas was readying his horse, the dwarf was bothering Elrond's son's about the lembas:

Gimli's: are you sre these thin loaf's are good enogh to keep us alive on our journy.

I went and ready'd my horse as well.Finally when all the fellowship had come into the outer room. Elrond came to each of us spoke encourging word's. Then he said.


Elrond: Gandalf is to go as your apointed laeder, oyu all will obey what he orders, otherwise you shall caus much disturbence to the fellowship.


We mounted our horses and were of.I felt as if something was dwraing near from the time we set out, but what I could not get an image in my mind to fully take form, so while we rode I was in deep thought. As we rode later on thew master dwarf was bothering me about his mind's.


Gimli: Yes a Dwarf's mind is not to be passed by as just a cave.


Myself: As well not should a wood be passed of as just fire wood.


Gimli: A mind has the great crafts of my ancester's, how can a wood carry such a thing?


Myself: IThe great wood of mirkwood, does not carry a mark of stone, but it carry's with it the feel of diferent times of our day's and carry's great memory's of our long past dead elf's, and the great battle's they fought.



Gimli: yes as well can a stone carry the great story's of battles, that were fought in moria.


Legolas: Yes master dwarf why don't you ask Gandalf If there is a way to visit these mind's of your's ?


Gimli: AHHhh good tinking my young elf friend, yes I should ask the old and grey wizard." he said as he rode ahead to bother gandalf about his mind's.


Myself: ugg, thank you.


Legolas: I was getting tired of the conversation myself.

I rode by legolas as he told me of what he had been doing these past few year's, He told me of a love he had"she said as she turned to xime." and after a about five hour's during the day we rode up the side of a small mountian and rested there.Legolas ekpt watch, as for some reason he felt uncomfertable just sitting there not keeping an eye on thing's about him, gandalf sat on a boulder as the dwarf kept bothering him about moria.


Gimli: It seem's to me we are taking the onger way around,we could go throught the mind's of moria, My cousin Dorin would give us such a welcome.


Gandalf: no... I would not go through the mind's unless I had no other choice.


Gandlaf and the dwarf talked of other thing's, but my attion was drwan to boromir as he tought mrry and pippin some sword play.Boromir accedently cut one of the hoobit's and they went of on him ylling, For the shire, there was much fun in that day, but then, like a cold spike running up my spine I turned and saw just as some one spoke.



Aragorn: what is that.



Gimli: just a wisp of cloud.


Borormir: it's moving fast...against the wind.


Legolas:crabon from dunland.


Gandalf: spie's of sourman. HIDE!!!


As I picked up evry thing in sight and tossed it under a bush where was Hiding I saw birds fly by, of a deep black color, a horrible scwacking sound they made. and just like that they were gone.


gandalf: we must pass over the mountain's.

"Please tell us, Angoreth, what peril in the Mines of Moria did cause Master Gandalf to be so consumed with fear? Are there creatures like those I encountered the other day in the mines?"

[Angoreth]

Angoreth turned to theoden" yes he is a noble man, and more of his nobleness will come out in the end of my story, and yes jim zeller, there are such creatures in moria"She took a drink of ale then bagan again.



We strted up the mountain, it was very cold then it got coler and began to snow, more snow built up by the hour it was getting hardier to go up the mountain, Legolas and myself walked upon the snow as gandalf made away for the rest of the fellowship we went ahead of the fellowship, I stopped half way so I could keep an eye on the fellowship so the snow would not hide them from our site, Legolas went the rest of the way up the curve of the mountain, he came back flushed and yelled:


Legolas I hear a foul voice in the air.


Gandalf: sourman.

Just then great boulder's came falling down the mountain side along with a small avalanche, legolas and myself pressed against the wall of the mountain, we were covered in snow until we could break free:


Boromir: we cannot go up the mountain, we leave and make for the gap of rohan.

Gimli: there is another way... gandalf we could go through the mind's.


Gandalf was in what it seemed deep thought for moment then said.


Gandalf:Let the ring bearer decide.

Frodo: We shall go through the mind's.


Gandalf: so be it.

It was a bit easier going down the mountain but the snow had covered the path that was made, so legolas and myself helped Gandalf push through the snow. After about two hour's we reached the bottom of the mountain and made our way round to the side. There we came to a part where the road narrowed and lined the side of the mountain, the was a huge lake. we reached a corner then came around it and there befor us stood two tree's, and in the middle was a long p[atch of smooth rock on the side of the mountain. Gimli ran ahead, Gandalf was next and then the rest of the fellow ship, when gandalf reached the wall this is what he said.


Gandalf: here lie's the hall of durin king under the mountain, speak friend and enter.

Frodo: what do you suppose it means?.


Gandalf; it's simple, if you are a friend you speak the password and the door's will open.



Gandalf tried a password and the door's sat silent an hour passed an gadalf had given up on trying passwords in different tounges. we sat there, boromir and aragorn pulled out there pipes as well did gandalf, and startedsmoking them, sam sat by bill his small pony, marry sat in a small boulder as pippin started throwing rocks into the water aragorn grabbed piipins hand as he was about to throw another one.


Aragorn: do not disturb the water.


Just then frodo stood up from gandalf side and walked towards the wall then turned to gandalf.


Frodo:it's a riddel... speak friend and enter? Gandalf whats the eleven word for friend?.


Gandalf: Malon


Just then the you could here a crack sound and all of a sudden the great ston walls opened to reveal a hidden door, just as they opened I had a horrible feeling comeing from the minds and from the lake, whitch one I feared more i cannot say, but the dwarf jumped up and was the first one in as we walk in he bousted,


Gimli: this my friends is what you call a mind, A MIND!!


he yelled as we went further in, Gandalf put light into his staff to reveal dead dwarf body's scattered across the ground of the cavern,.


Boromir: this is no mind this is a tomb... we leav here and make for the gap of rohan, GET OUT!!!

just then I could here forodo screaming then sam and them merry, someything had frodo and was pulling him to the lake, it seemed as if a live vine was pulling him. When sam had cut the vine or leg tweenty more came from the lake and grabbing frodo as the other's pushed back the threee hobbit's, Th leg raised frodo into the air above the lake thn something emerged from the lake and opened it's Great mouth, I aragorn and boromir ran into the lake cutting as many eg's as we could , boromir cut the leg that bound frodo and cought him, he made his way back but to many leg's were emergeing from the water, he called out for legolas and myself, we shot our bow's.


Gndalf: into the minds.

we ran to the minds the thing came out from the water and pulled on the mountain side, but the mountain side was not stronge enuogh to hold the weight and crumbbled to the ground covering the way out of the minds.


Gandalf: so this is it, we must go through the minds.


I whispered to legolas" a gardian at the gate" he shook his pale face as the fellowship made their way to the great step's tht lead up into the mountain.



we reached the top of the stairs, at he top of the step's were to passage way's.


Gandalf: I have no memory of this place.


so we sat there and waited for gandalf to remember, I sat there and atalked quietly with legolas and boromir as araognr and the dwarf talk about the many journy's they have had and witch were there favorit. the four hobbit's sat together, but then a while later frodo got up and walked quickly to gandalf.


Frodo: something is following us.

Gandalf: it is the creature gollum, he has been folowing us for three days.

Frodo: Gollum?it's a pity bilbo didnt kill him when he got the chance

Gandalf: pity? pity is what stayed biblo's hand, some people who di deserve life and some thatr live deaerve death... Can you give it to them frodo, do not be to eager to deal out death, I feel that gollum has some part to play befor this is all over.


Frodo: I wish thering had never come ot me... I wish one of this had ever happend.


Gandalf: so do all that live to see such times, tbut you must figure out what to do withthe time given you... Ah it's that way.

he said pointing to the left passage.

Merry: he's rememberd?!

Gandalf: no, but the air smell's less fouler down there,allway's follow your noise.



he said as all the fellow ship got up, slowly and carfuly went down the stairs.

Theoden muttered something to himself about the mines with a frown and then took a drink of ale "why did the company not make for the Gap of Rohan? We would have given you all a warm welcome and there would have been no guardian with many legs to hinder you"

[Angoreth]

" I know they would have, theoden my friend, but The gap of rohan would hav taken us to close to Isengard.And thank you losse" she said as she took a drink" much better" she said as she began again.


We reached the bottom of the stiras and walk into the center of the room, Gandalf put more light into his staff and in doing so it showd a great mountain hall of pillars designed with souch craft I have never seen" Alas Gimli fair dwarf, you were right there is much to be amazed at" and as I finished speaking a sound came from all around us, we looked up and coating the room and wall's was orc's. we ran but there was no where we could go, they had us surrounded, we all pulled out our weapons legolas and mmyself pulled out our bow's, aragorn and boromir pulled out their sword's as did gandalf and the four hobbits, Gimli pulled out his axe. We stood there and braced ourself for a battle that could nt be won. But just as they came in, they turned with fear and scattered and went through the crackes, what they feared we did not know intil we turned to see one wall lite with an orange color.

Myself: What is it?"


Gandalf: it is a bulrog.


Legolas: what shall we do?"

Gandalf: this creatures streangth and whit goes beyond all of your under standing...RUN!!!!

And with those words the fellowship took of down the right side where you could see a door, the floor rummbled with the foot steps of the creature behind us. We came out of the narrow passage way, and an open under ground tavern lyayed befor our eye's the stair way we were taking was thin and there was no wall on the sides, so if you stummbled and fell of the side you would fall into a lake of lava. I turned and looked and the wall that was where the door was, was being beaten on by a huge ceature to tall to imagen. A part of the stair way was broken off we would have to jump. Gandalf went first then boromir with to hobbits merry and pippin, then legolas with sam I came next, the two people who were left were gimli legolas and aragorn, Gimli was about to be thrown by aragon he turned and said.

Gimli: no one tosses a dwarf.

and with thos words he leapt from the stair case that now left frodo and aragorn, Gimli barely made it as legolas grabbed him by his beard.


Gimli: NOT THE BEARD!!!!

And then legolas pulled him to safty just as more of the stair case broke apart and the stair case that had frodo and aragonr was wavering.


Aragorn: lean forward.


And as they did the stairs came colser.

Aragorn:Get ready to jump.

The satirs came closer and when they colided the were thrown to the other side, I and legolas cought them.We fleed down the stairs as we lefted behind the falling steps. We went through another narrow passage and into a another cavern but the only means of gettinf across was another even more narrow brige we made for it as we crossed we looked back and Gandalf was screaming at aragorn.


Gandal: go lead them out of the minds.

Aragorn try'ed to stay but Gandalf would not have it.

Gandalf: your swords are of no more use here go, lead the others to safty.


And with that aragorn fleed to the other side, just as he reached us the wall facing Gandalf was crummbling at each hit the great monster took at it, Finally the wall was gone and a great Beast of darkness and fire stood befor us.

Gandalf: I am the servent and weilder of the secret fire of Anor, you shall not pass.

The bulrog, stood at it's full hight and in doing so pulled out it's swor in challenging Gandalf, The might Beast came at Gandalf with his sword and Gandalf blocked and as he did so the beasts sword Shattered. with a shocked look the beast took out it's whip and started at Gandalf.


Gandalf: YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!

As he said these words he drove his staff into the brige and a great splintered light shot out from it. The bulrog came forward and placed one foot on the bridge, the bridge gave way, with from under the beastsfeet and it fell, just as gandalf let down his Guard a whip sound come from the abyss and Gandalf fell to the end of the bridge, he struggled for few minuts then said thses last words.


Gandalf: Fly you fool's.

We watched as our life long friend fell into the darkness. Boromir picked up frodo as he tried to go to the bridge, but orc's were shooting arrow's. We fleed up the dark passage way and came out, into a light filled mountain side. We sat there in amazment as we weeped.

[Cerberus]

"Hey everybody, nice to meet you all..... and Angoreth i'm sorry for your loss"

[Theoden_king]

Theoden stared at Angoreth in confusion and open his mouth to protest then he realised where the story was going, he smiled at Angoreth and took another sip of his ale

"Cerberus, while Angoreth is composing herself over the tragic loss of her dear friend Gandalf, perhaps you could tell us from whence you came and what caused you to journey to these lands."

[Theoden_king]

"Good idea, and while you are doing that I will have another ale please"

[Angoreth]

" Oh I am fine thank you.Yes please tell us where did you come from? "she asked as she took drink of ale and returned the smile to theoden.

[Lossengondiel]

"Yes, here's an ale for you Theoden, and yes please tell us about yourself Cerebus"

Our stories are IC. If you scroll above, I put a "Robinson Crusoe" twist on my story by pretending I am me but somehow shipwrecked to ME. The others I think are pretty much completely IC.

IC: Theoden took a sip of beer then turned to jimzeller and said "indeed we would all be in trouble if the orcs overpowered us"

JimZ gets up from his seat by the fire and walks with some trepidation toward Theoden_King. Takes a seat at his table and peers closely at his richly decorated clothing, armor and weapons.

"Sir, I see from your raiment that you are a man of importance, of nobility perhaps. Also, the marvelous sword you carry tells me you must be a warrior as well. The farmers who sheltered me and nursed me back to health when I first reached these shores gave me a sword and a daggar, but they are sorely neglected. They are rusty and blunt, and I have had no teaching in sword fighting. Might I learn sword craft from you so I may protect myself from these orcs?"

[Kellivara]

*Kellivara, having overheard Jimzeller's request to theoden, got up and walked out of the inn, and came back about an hour later.*

*Kell walked over to theoden and jimzeller and laid two daggers and a sword on the table, all in perfect condition, polished to a shine and sharp as could possibly be, then turned to jimzeller*

"Aye lad, having fighting skills will serve you none at all if you have blades that are rusty and blunt. Take these, and learn to use them well. You have chosen well your teacher."

*Kell turned to theoden then*

"Aye, and you would do well to teach him all you can, for you never know when he may save your life with the skills you teach him"

[Lossengondiel]

"Those are quite impressive daggars. What of their history?"

[Kellivara]

they have none as of yet, but I assure you they are quality blades, I know the owner of the weapons shop where I bought them, and only weapons of the finest quality are sold there.

[Angoreth]

"First we must learn to block attacks, now take up your sword and I will attack you with mine, block the stroke with your sword, don't worry, it will be soft blows at first but it will get harder"

"Teach me as well." *Puts down the glass she was drying and picks up a daggar* "Just because I am a woman doesn't mean I cannot do anything"

[Kellivara]

"You owe me nothing. I would not leave anyone unprotected in these lands, much less one who may easily get lost for lack of expirience in these lands. Aye, and I will watch, and pinpoint any mistakes once you have learned the basics, so long as you don't mind constructive critisism, of course, but while you are learning the basics, I will polish and sharpen my own weapons."

"This of course goes for you as well Losse"

[Angoreth]

"I shall help you then losse, sence theoden is busy with jim" she said as she stood up and unsheathed her elven blade.


OOC: um.. o.k. I will try.

[Theoden_king]

IC: Theoden takes a swing at jimzeller which is blocked
"Good but keep your wrist firm or the stoke will over power the block. Now faster"

*JimZ is at first very clumsy with the sword, dropping it and unable to parry even the simplest thrust from Theoden. Gradually, he gets used to it and the swordplay becomes more lively. Jim and Theoden begin to break a sweat as the blows and counter-blows become faster. The other patrons in the tavern are starting to get nervous. After a particularly rapid series of blows, Theoden pushes Jim back, causing him to fall over Angoreth's table, dumping her ale in her lap.

*Jim gets up, laughing.*

"Whew!! Thank you, Theoden, for the lesson!! I have much to learn yet, but I think I can now hold my own if I have to defend myself. I fear if we continue we will do much damage to Losses' establishment, and I think we are beginning to frighten the other patrons. I suggest going outside if we are to continue the lessons, but I am thirsty after all that work and I could use another ale!

"I apologize for my clumsiness, Angoreth. Let me buy you another drink."

[Vixen Evenstar]

*Vixen comes in and see's the sword out. Her hand automatically goes to the dirk in her belt*

*then seeing Theoden appears to have been giving lessons she relaxes and takes a moment to look around the Inn*

*As Jim begins to assist Angoreth, awkwardly picking her tankard off the floor and setting the furniture aright. He looks at her close up for the first time since coming into the tavern and stops, does a double-take. He had never encountered and elf before, and he now gazes at her face in wonder. All of a sudden he is bashful and self-consious. He now tries to speak but he is strangely tongue-tied like a boy trying to speak to his first sweetheart.*

"F-forgive me, Angoreth, f-for staring but, umm, I have never encountered anyone like you before. A-at first I thought you were little more than umm a-a young maiden, but, looking in your eyes, I see.... I don't know, something different, something like the wisdom, joys and sorrows of .... decades, generations e-even. It's like .... Oh don't mind me, I think I have drunk too much ale or Theoden must have hit me harder than I thought."

*He looks away and goes back to picking up plates and glasses, blushing all the while.*

[Lossengondiel]

"Welcome, welcome Vixen Evenstar!! Please don't mind us, we are only having sword fighting lessons. Please, sit down! Here's an ale. What would you care for?"

[Theoden_king]

Theoden smiles at Angoreth "seems you have an admirer"
"Lossengondiel, drinks for whoever wants one on me" Theoden turns to Vixen "welcome friend, sorry to give you a scare when you walked in" he said with a smile

"No no, I insist. Drinks on the house!" *Passes ales out to everyone present*

[Angoreth]

IC:quite alright jim,there is nothing to be sorry for. drinks can be refilled, But I think theoden should be more carful" she said as she looked at theoden. "and thank you I will take one of your ale's" she said sa she grabbed an ale."Come lossengondiel, I will help you sence I am much of the same build" she said as she stood and took out her elven blade," try placeing your feet firmly on the ground, so this way if you go to charge you will have more power to it" she said as she waited for losse to come out from behind the bar.

*Jim leans over to speak with Losse while Angoreth and Theoden begin their sword play.*

"Thank you for the ale, but I fear my head may be addled. When Angoreth was talking about 'elves' in her tale about Rivendell and the journey to Moria, I thought I wasn't hearing correctly. But when I looked at her up close just then, I see she is something...I don't know...different from Men like Theoden and me. I can't put my finger on it. I hope that someday I might journey to Rivendell to meet more of her kind.

"Their sword play is incredible. They are going so fast it is almost like a blur. I fear that if that is what real battle is like, I would be cut to ribbons within moments!"

[Angoreth]

Angoreth placed her sword in front of her," thank you theoden for helping me teach lossengondiel,it hepled" she placed her sword in her sheath and shook theodens hand." losse ready to try a bit faster?" she asked with a smile," maybe then jim and losse could try each other?" she said with a luagh, er elven eye's gleaming with joy," I have not had such good company for a while" she said with a smile."

[Cerberus]

*Stands up and approaches Theoden and Angoreth* "If you are giving out lessons in sword fighting would you mind giving me a lesson as well? I would much appreciate any help in regards to my sword style :D "

[Theoden_king]

Theoden turns to Angoreth and smiles "that is an excellent idea, they can practice together to boost both of their confidence, Jim we will practice going a little bit faster than you should be ready" Theoden walks over to Jimzeller and starts a light attack gradually getting heavier and fasteras jim gets a feel for the battle

[Kellivara]

Aye Jim, and there are also a few creatures such as myself, though we are rather rare on the surface, called drow. Although I myself am a peredhil drow, half elven and half drow. Somehow I doubt you'll find many elves who have many sets of rings and studs in their pointy ears, I find that it's more of a drow thing:rolleyes:

[Lossengondiel]

"Cerebus, yes come have a lesson with us. I am farily new as well, but I am getting the hang of it and hopefull you will as well"

[Angoreth]

"yes cerebus, you can learn as well, right now I will sword play with losse for a few minuts then with you back and forth, so stand up" she said as cerebus stood and unsheathed his sword, she went a bit slow then faster with lossengondiel, then she moved over to cerebus going slower and makeing wide strokes with her sword then it sped up to the speed up losse's, and went back and forth till both off them got the hand of the next speed.

[Theoden_king]

Theoden's sword clashed with Jim's and every time the ring echoed through the bar, the swordplay moved slowly at first but rapidly getting faster, Theoden and Jim both started to break into a sweat as they threw strokes back and forth, each one being blocked with almost lightning speed. The swords clashed one last time then Theoden raised a hand "stop" he said "you have learned very fast and you seem to have a natural ability with a sword, Jim" Theoden turned and watched Angoreth working with Lossengondiel and Cerberus. Theoden smiles and turns to Jim "when they have finished training would you like to have a friendly battle with one to see how you are improving?"

[baragund]

*Jim is bent over, left hand on his knees and his right hand holding his sword with the tip resting on the floor. He is panting hard as he replies to Theoden.*

"You are an excellent teacher, Theoden. I am not nearly at the level of you and Angoreth but from the clumsy fighting I witnessed among the orcs, I think I can make a fair account of myself with them, at least. I am in your debt and at your service. I would gladly engage in a friendly contest with one of your companions."

*Beginning to catch his breath, Jim straightens up and looks at the sword that was given to him by Kellivara. Despite the numerous hard blows exchanged with Theoden, there is not a trace of a notch or a scratch on the blade yet the blade is razor sharp. He then sits next to Kell who is watching with great interest the sword play between Losse, Cerberus and Angoreth.*

"Kell, what manner of blade did you give me? I was hitting Theoden's sword as hard as I could and there is nary a scratch on it!"

*Jim now notices from Kell's eyes and looking at her curiously shaped ears that she is a similar being as Angoreth."

"So you and Angoreth are, er, elves. Where I come from, there are no such folk and I feel my homeland is a poorer and bleaker place because of it. On the other hand, there are no 'orcs' where I come from either and that's a good thing but some Men from my land behave no better than those 'orcs'."

[Lossengondiel]

*After practicing for quite some time, Loss calls for a break and goes and sits down by Kell and JimZ to catch her breath*

"That was amazing. I never thought I would get the hang of that so fast!"

[Theoden_king]

"I think that everyone could use a drink right about now" Theoden walks over to take a seat beside losse, jim and kell. "prehaps myself and Angoreth should also have a friendly fight" Theode turns and watches Angoreth, still training with Cerberus "what do you say? the two trainers battling it out?"

[Lossengondiel]

"A drink? Here you go. And I think a friendly little battle who be great. Who would like to participate?"

[Theoden_king]

Theoden takes the ale and takes a huge drink " Thanks. As I have said already, I will take part in a battle but I think everyone needs a moment to get their breath back before fighting again"

[Angoreth]

Angoreth calls for break between cerebus and herself" yes a break" she says as she asks for an ale" Yes theoden this should be fun" she says as she takes a drink of her ale." but first I would like to rest for a few minuts.

[Lossengondiel]

"Isn't this gonna be great?"

[baragund]

*Jim stands up and stretches, then sits down again with the others and takes a drink from the fresh pint that Losse just brought.*

"Theoden, I can tell already that my muscles will be quite sore tomorrow after this evening's exercise. Tell me, how much of your skill has been honed in friendly competition and how much in battle? From the sight of those orcs I encountered in these parts, I daresay no small part of your skill was developed in battle."

[Theoden_king]

"I have fought many things other than just orcs, things that are more skilled with a blade. However not all my practice came from battle, my father taught me to use a blade from a very young age" Theoden said as he took a drink of ale
